When hitting 69 posts, text should be replaced with "nice" so we get a dozen more threads in meta about "what happened to my post count!?"

Also, yall should whitelist long signatures that are advertising the forum discord [so newbies and other members] can freely advertise a freely available server.
I doubt someone would pay to advertise that...

You don't need long signatures for advertising anything; You can achieve that with shorter ones as well ^{[apart from Newbies that don't have signature fields on their profiles]}.

Why the "69" anyway? This number signify so many things. Like the greeny meaning. Also why the word "nice" curious to your idea.

Ooh yeah, so that random newbie accounts get created, then they request to be whitelisted to wear long signatures in the name of advertising the unofficial discord server only to remove the signatures after a couple of days to wear other signatures of their own interest. This is a recipe for abuse of the signature space by newbie accounts. There's a reason such restrictions are there.

Advertising the unofficial forum discord should be purely out of someone's interest. Someone can still buy a copper member to advertise if they want. If they feel they can't buy a copper membership, it's also fine.

This has been proven to be a bad idea in the past for the forum. For example, it used to say “Leet” when you hit 1337 posts. I was deleting my posts as I made new ones for many months to keep the Leet post count. A lot of those posts could have provided good insight and knowledge for people years later looking back at certain events. I’ve even been accused of removing posts to hide things as a result. I’m just one person, but if this were widespread and still continuing today I would imagine that countless informative posts would have been lost as a result.

This is not a sex forum and hence the word {position} "69" does not have any significant importance here  ;)



There is nothing hard for the epochtalk devs. They can develop almost anything in the 21st century.  8)

Though it looks like it is a sort of "position", that number is being seen more like a meme along with the number 420.

I'm not sure that you're serious with 69 and "nice". But I don't think it's good idea. Maybe it would be interesting thing on April Fools Day - replace post count with meaning of specific numbers like 69 or 420.
But if your proposal would be implemented, I imagine that every week we would get multiple topics on Meta asking what "nice" means. Same like it was with "leet" in past.
About signature whitelisting. I don't think it's needed. Longer signatures comes with higher rank. If it's not fine for you, you alway can buy Copper Membership.

Why is this necessary? Do you see it having any impact on this forum? Creating a campaign list or any list should be the business of an individual, not this forum. This forum is not responsible for providing another place for you to freely advertise, because this forum itself is the best place to make such advertisements. Even if you ask for a list of campaigns, it has already been made available in this forum by others. So, why is discord necessary? I feel you are just joking :)

Yall way overthinking stuff.

Just give newbies and whatnot the checkbox option on their account which uses a predefined advertising space for this specific advertisement (the discord server); when you check the box, it just sets the text in the signature in the database. When you uncheck the box, it clears the text. No way to abuse the system.

Also; I forgot about 420. Yeah, that should get custom text.

You removing your posts seems like your inefficiency. Should have combined them with edits instead. Even more so when others quote you :)

IINM, they still have this. When my post count hit that way back in December 2019, it showed Leet.
