it is hard to say where the price will be in ten years, but since BTC is programmable network, one thing than we know for sure is that we will have at least two halvings in February/March 2024 and around 2028 new year, maybe there will be another within ten years, but as far as it is realistic, third is planned for late 2031, so out of ten year plan

each will bring mining reward to half, so there will be around 450 BTC rewards per day in 2024, and around 225 BTC rewards per day in 2028, at the end of 2031 that will be at 112.5 BTC per day, scarcity at its finest

that will also bring network security down, or transaction fees should go up (for security level to stay the same), at the moment - $1.5M daily fees and $30M in block reward, just 5% miner reward is coming from transaction fees

30 years ago people got introduced to the internet, today all business is being contacted with an internet site. you get into tax office, you get your vaccine programmed, you pay your tickets you book your hotels everything digital. same will happen to money, fiat will exist for some years and some more in less developed countries but its like the credit or debit cards...15years ago in europe common but not everywhere...now you can go everywhere without cash. so digital money will expand. the more people use it the more it will cost to use it and pay for it, so it will rise for sure.
depends on how long you can keep it.

As a picture i brought not only the next 10 years but 20 with me. Above all, sustainability will be a major issue in the future.Green Bitcoin have to be mined and are already being generated. Power consumption is also a big issue. Bitcoin will continue to be accepted as a means of payment if it is made with sustainable energy.

Bitcoin will definitely be around, Core development will continue and general adoption
will continue from here, especially as Bitcoin survives more price upswings and corrections.

Price however could be anything upwards of todays price.

Bear in mind that by 10 years time we will already have had another 2 halvings so supply
and demand will certainly be a factor in valuing Bitcoin

in my opinion bitcoin in 2009 was just a coin with very small value and very few people knew about it, up to now bitcoin has increased to a dizzying number of 60 thousand dollars, 10 years from now no one can be sure of one thing. compared to what bitcoin has grown to date, that's almost an amazingly disciplined growth figure. But most investors today a lot of people believe and hold bitcoin because they believe that in the future bitcoin will bring a lot of profit. If bitcoin doesn't exist in 10 years it will be very difficult because everyone wants it to grow.

Bitcoin will survive another decade. The on/off ramps will be way more regulated. Mining will be forced to get much greener. New "next bitcoin" coins introductions will slow down. Scammers will move on to the next thing. Overall I think the bitcoin sphere will be a less erratic and cleaner place in 10 years time. 1 BTC = 1 BTC

It is very difficult to say whether the future is good or not. Because we never know what the market will look like, sometimes it can go up quickly or vice versa, drop drastically and take a long time to rise. But I'm still very sure that one day bitcoin will still have a very good future, seeing the current trend, which has a little understanding and chooses to invest with bitcoin. I hope the 2 yrs of Bitcoin song has come a month again.

In the next 12 years, there will be 3 halvings, so it means that "almost all bitcoins" are mined that time. So used your imagination and see what will be the price that time because bitcoin are going to be scarce and obviously, the law of supply and demand will play a big role here.

So we might be in the 6 digits in the next 10-12 years and obviously, it will stood the test of time. Just a matter of what we are going to do today so that our future with the help of bitcoin will be secure and we will enjoy financial freedom.

Definitely, if we have survived the first ten years, then I think that next will be in stride. So survival of bitcoin depends on us, so if individuals like you and me still support it, then we can outlined those anti-bitcoin, perma-bears and no-coiners.

For the price, $100k might be minimum, of course the exponential growth will have to slow-down, but if adoption continues to grow and more countries and huge companies and online stores started to accept bitcoin then we will have a good chance to see that price.

I notice that the dominance is decreasing this is something to be always aware of when we are moving every year, last year dominance is very high but other coins keeps developing and covering grounds, in the next ten years there will be a lot of projects stepping up and Bitcoin's dominance will further decrease.

I think, bitcoin will still survive in the market for the next coming years. As companies and countries are just starting to realize the benefits of crypto in their system, it means, the lifespan of crypto in the market will thrive. Adoption is still increasing, so that means bitcoin or crypto will not die anytime soon. Based from the moving average chart of btc, we have a very positive upward movement in the coming years. So this is interesting if that will indeed happen.

Don't know what to expect and I don't want to expect anything because I don't want to fantasize on things that won't have any chance of happening. I think that the only way to do it is to stick to bitcoin and stay on the industry for 10 years and see what's going to happen next, I think that's the only way to do it.

Bitcoin survived for more than 11 years so what is another 10 years? if the price reached more than 64,000 in the last  11 years so then in 10 years? it can break more than a million dollars lol.

You asked this question and I ask, why will bitcoin not survive  ;D ??? You are a bitcoinlegend and you should know.

Before the future 10 years to come, bitcoin has survived past 10-11 years ago.The early years when bitcoin was below a dollar and when Laszlo Hanyecz used 10,000 bitcoin to buy mere pizza was the teething stage for bitcoin not anymore.

Now the banks are beginning to look into the option of bitcoin in transactions and also more bitcoin ATM are springing out in America. You see that with all that bitcoin is not going anywhere. ;D

In 10 years Bitcoin price will probably be approaching $1 million. There will be between a billion and two billion people who own Bitcoin. The people who scream about it being a fraud or ponzi or scam and those who say it's gonna crash down to zero will all be gone. It will be normalized. It'll be a popular corporate treasury holding, probably some central banks and governments will hold it as a digital gold. It will probably be legal tender in a dozen or two smaller nations, where it is regularly used to purchase things through the Lightning Network. Financial advisors will finally start to understand what Bitcoin is and it'll be advised that anyone starting out investing should have a few percent in Bitcoin.

There will be far less people trying to convince everyone that there is a "next bitcoin" and that bitcoin is slow and outdated and all that hogwash. The vast majority of bitcoin mining will be done with renewable resources as the western world takes over mining and renewable energy production spreads.

Most people will just hold their bitcoin in their bank account next to their tokenized dollars or whatever other tokenized fiat, and the banks and other central services will use the LN so there will be many hundreds of bitcoin transactions happening each second on top of the 5 or 6 happening on-chain.

Halvings won't have that much of an effect on the market anymore as their significance wanes and Bitcoin never leaves the public eye in the financial world anyway.

Microstrategy will be in the top 10 corporation in the world for largest "cash" on hand thanks to bitcoin's growth.

I think BTCUSD (https://de.tradingview.com/symbols/BTCUSD/) will never vanish from this planet again. It becomes more and more important to many ppl and it offers very much potential for both sides, Good and Evil. One person might use it for money laundering, the next one might use it to pay another one for a service or anything. The only thing that could possibly stop BTC, imho, is a full collapse of the global internet. Will BTCUSD ever be the most powerful currency in the world? Who knows... BUT: the younger generations are very different from what the older is. Back in the days it was about smoking chimneys and bigger better faster... Nowadays its about recycling, green products, renewable energy, cleaning the oceans and so on. So why not completely get rid of banks at the same time? They say BTC is a waste of energy. Look at what ridicules amounts of energy are used for Banks! All the offices, all the ppl driving to work, polluting the air, and then there are so many banks, all doing basically the same...?! Why not switch to cryptos, and lessen the total amount of energy wasted in the global finance market... Just a thought...

You will be what your username is after 10 years and by that time, we're all millionaires. Although it is uncertain what lies in the future but this is probably what the people have been thinking 10 years ago.

And where we are right now is amazing. Whatever the price will be, I'll keep holding until I'm satisfied to sell a few.

Actually your question is classified as 'low' but to be more convincing for you then I give a little opinion. The Bitcoin community has been very strong from year to year, there will even be more countries that recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender. don't doubt about the future of Bitcoin, BTC will continue to survive.

I think the next 10 years of bitcoin will be more amazing new ATH will maybe triple compair the present price today. If we are going to look back on the bitcoin price we can saw that there is no way for bitcoin to back on its price from 2010. There is a big difference about the price from the past and the present price and i believe that bitcoin will make a new record in the near future. Because many more people will know about bitcoin.

Bitcoin won't really exist in 10 years. At least, it won't matter in any significant way. People will probably trade whole bitcoins as collectors items for $10/btc or something like that. Large governments will have improved their already really sound currency systems by then and it'll just be a safer investment to stay in USD in a savings account.

We've crossed the first ten years of bitcoin. During the first ten years we've experienced the early growth and things happening in a much stabilized way. The falling ten years in opinion is the days of market widening. As a beginning for the same we've got more corporate network entry into the cryptospace. Along with the entry of the corporate more countries have legalized cryptocurrency usage. So, don't get late on investing on cryptocurrency is my thought.

Let's just say all these barriers to success bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are facing will be a thing of the past.

Seeing most countries are laying some kind of crypto legislation for its citizens, I see crypto to be less of an anonymous asset to use as more services are likely to be tied to KYC which wasn't the initial plan as to why we have cryptos like bitcoin. So in the coming years prepare for KYC if you want to keep using crypto ;)

Price wise I think we should be trading between $50k and  $100k

Of course it will survive because bitcoin is the most powerful crypto currency in the space so it will stay forever as long as it has strong support, as the matter of fact every year bitcoin adoption is gradually increasing and that's the reason why it achieved the 60k value, so how much more in the future are you still expecting it will disappear?  Nah change your mindset mate because its very obvious that only bitcoin can survive on the space and even 200k isn't enough after 10 years in my opinion.

Yes BTC will survive and will be stronger each and every day

I think predicting the price or the market is near impossible for the next 10 years. Given what has happened in the last 10 years, I would say either Bitcoins would have become the mainstream payment option or it would have been replaced by dominant crypto altogether in the next 10 years because there shouldn't be anything in between. Everyone loves the blockchain technology but some hate bitcoins so either a new coin replaces everything or everyone just accepts bitcoins finally.

As for the price, I am expecting half a million dollars in 2024 when the next halving is expected to take place so maybe a million dollars is a realistic price for 2031. I won't hold for that long though, honestly because I have planned to sell everything in 2024 and from there on, either I will quit the market completely or will just press the reset button.

Sounds unrealistic and too lucrative to believe but could actually happen if the bear runs don't happen and we get momentum with a few good bull runs.

I fully agree with you and for any asset, the growth in its initial years is much higher and rapid as compared to years later. I mean there is no chance we would see the same increase in price that we have seen in the last decade but still the value should increase only with time and more adoption in the years to follow.

I am not setting unrealistic goals nor expecting too much but I do wish one thing in 10 years from now - hopefully the manipulation is over.

The last question is not really relevant unless you see a disaster hitting us to the point the electric grid goes down, as I believe that is the only way bitcoin could go down and disappear, with that out of the way we do not know what the next decade will bring, maybe we will see more of the same and the adoption will continue to go up at a slow pace, however if we see a collapse of the current system it would not be weird that at some point during that decade the bitcoin adoption skyrockets as people will be trying to protect themselves from that scenario.

Obviously, it will survive but the matter of fact is whether the value will rise more or will get dumped. The crypto market will see more users in the recent future itself which makes me believe that the market is going to see a positive side including the rise of value. Probably it might touch or be stable around $60-80K based on the current scenario and recent market movement. I will not speculate for $100K plus because it is too soon to pass such a speculative statement.
Regarding survival, for sure it will survive but there is a possibility that few countries might introduce specific regulation or restrictions which might create issues such as a decrease in users which will impact the market overall.

The first decade was an experiment to see if bitcoin could actually survive, the next decade will be mostly about worldwide adoption, we made great progress during the first ten years but the explosion of adoption will come during the next decade, especially since I do not think the current economic system can last that much and will begin to show more instability and economic crisis will become more common, this will play in favor of bitcoin as people will try to find a way to protect their wealth and bitcoin shows it is the best option for that.

Survival is not the question. The value is the question.
Look at how Bitcoin came so far from more than 10 years while It has almost no value in 2010.
Imagine Bitcoin today trading at $33,000,in the next 10 years it would for sure multiply for a possible 7 digit figure.
Again, the question is not about survival, its the value.

10 years is such a long period of time anyway, why won't we speculate on the next 3-5 years during the next 4 year cycle?

Will Bitcoin survive? Yes and of course. Bitcoin will not just survive. It will reach much higher levels than this. In 10 years, I believe that it is very possible to see Bitcoin price reaching $1m level. And its adoption will also be much better than this. There will be many more people who will be using Bitcoin in daily life.

Bitcoin will survive. However, the value would be hard to determine. The optimism in me says that by that time Bitcoin would have reached 100k, although I've always been a sort of pessimistic person when it comes to Bitcoin's value in the relatively short term. I never envisioned or even imagined that Bitcoin would reach 50k, by the time we have done. I thought it was going to be many years after this.

The biggest factors in determining the value of Bitcoin in 10 years will be down to the government, and how they decide to further regulate Bitcoin, because I most certainly expect more regulations, and stricter ones at that to come into place. adoption rate is hard to determine, but I would expect the infulencers of the world to really push the adoption up in the next few years. I actually think, we will likely see the biggest growth we've seen yet in the next 3 years.

I've no doubt that Bitcoin will survive. But when it comes to the price prediction, it's really hard to say something about it. We all know Bitcoin's volatile nature. Everything can happen then. For example, we can see millions of dollars of value or maybe much less than that also. But I'm hoping to see people preferring Bitcoin many more than now.

Ten years is a long way, and with the technology moving so fast and investors growing we never know if there are new coins that will and can challenge Bitcoin old and new, all I know is Cryptocurrency is the future and this is an open arena where developers can create the next big thing, so better watch the market and the community closely, there are coins that have potential in the market but yet unknown.

Within the next 10 years, I believe bitcoin is still in the market.
Considering that we are still in the early stage of bitcoin adoption today.
10 years will just go by very fast. But the possibility of creating another alt that will challenge bitcoin will always be there.
How many coins or projects were created to surpass the technology of bitcoin, and up until today, no one has toppled its position in the market.

10 years from now I think BTC will really be adopted by countries which is started by El Salvador. Paraguay is on the way to follow too. Since IMF didn't like what they are doing, they are going to be sanctioned which the aide worth billions may not be provided for the countries that adopted BTC. The world will see how corrupt the financial system is.

If indeed the good side of bitcoin continues to increase or persist from time to time.. I think of course bitcoin will survive and its role is still very good for the financial side, but if the bad side is more visible and considered in a risky direction.. I think bitcoin will weaken.
Well, but in my opinion.. bitcoin will still be in its popularity and will be welcomed even better even though there are many things that affect/disturb it.
About the price, of course it's hard to be sure, but I'm more tended to think that it will be higher than now

Bitcoin survived for more than 10 years as of now hence I will not suspect about the survival of next 10 years.
Next 10 years for bitcoins might be more interesting than what we had experienced in last 5 to 7 years. I remember there were topics on this forum like "what will you do if bitcoin got stuck at current levels forever" (when bitcoin was trading below $500 levels) but I guess we may not see such topic anymore. But, we will see topics like "will bitcoin test $500k/$800k this month?"

More countries will follow El Salvador in next few years and more number of celebrities might start talking about their success stories on how their enjoying big profits due to bitcoin.

In my speculation, I guess by 2030 bitcoin might have set ATH above $10M levels as I am expecting one million to be tested by the times of 2025 itself.

Bitcoin in the next 10 years will know more about it and an institution will definitely look at the various technologies that are being built maybe this will happen at that time and the government can recognize that bitcoin is the most important asset. I believe it

In terms of price it may have already exceeded hundreds of thousands of dollars because this will be more and more in demand from the community and investors, adoption of every company will definitely be implemented in their system and payments will be easier and any spending bitcoin will be available soon, I only believe this in 10 years later.
This development will surely continue until more people adopt about crypto.

About the price, of course it's hard to be sure, but I'm more tended to think that it will be higher than now
There is no weak side of bitcoin in the long run, even the idea of bitcoin is something that will grow bigger and bigger in the future. One day bitcoin will fail to go up much more and the volatility will stop, but that is not now, that is when bitcoin becomes something much bigger, like stock markets, and we need like 25x to 30x increase in bitcoin price compared to now in order to have that, which will not happen at any time soon.

Obviously speaking people will have bad feelings about bitcoin in the short term, it is going to be basically bad for short term and then good for long term. Think about it this way, go to 5 then drop to 3 then go to 10 drop to 7 go to 15 drop to 12 and so forth for a very long time, those drops can make people be scared of bitcoin but in the end it is always higher in the long term all because of the good side of it.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

Because of the recent news of El Salvador to bitcoin, I'm thinking it is possible for bitcoin to be a currency or a national currency, at first I'm thinking it's just suitable as an investment and it is and not really for spending or as a real currency because there were just so many disadvantages of using bitcoin.

But because of this start and what El Salvador have done, we now know that it is possible to happened and for sure a lot of countries could possibly do it as well, making the demand even higher and increasing the market price of bitcoin in the future.

Thinking about the billions of people and businesses that could possibly use bitcoin in the future I think the potential when it comes to market price was just too high and could even surpass a million dollars in the future.

I see a very bright future for Bitcoin. In 10 years, there will be a lot of things going on for Bitcoin. Some of them will be positive, some will be negative. But eventually, Bitcoin will consolidate its place in the market way more than now I believe. And I can't even imagine what the price would be then. I assume that we can see at least $500k or above.

Everyone is anticipating a bright future of Bitcoin since we'll expect the market to always concur to our trend. The market might just decides to dance the way it's likes but nevertheless Bitcoin is still going to sour higher than it is today.
The future of Bitcoin has a lot to show us so I don't think their is any need to be optimistic in a short range rather than looking ahead to dance to what the market has to offer

No one does have the crystal ball so its not easy to tell.  :D Getting serious, no one could know if bitcoin would still be relevant on next 10 years or being replaced by another altcoins in the market.
No one can tell since theres no man on this world would able to know on what would happen ahead even guessing on tomorrows weather isnt 100% precise and you should mind that basic thing.
Fact here that Bitcoin existence is already a decade, we've seen on how it came big and been mainly supported and thats why it do remain on top ranks.
One thing is guaranteed here that acceptance and recognition would continue. Payment system that had been created is revolutionary.

That's very hard to say a visionary for the thing which is too far to exist, but only expectations I can give is survival of bitcoin is really strong when this time comes. Other coins will also be dead if ever it won't sustain with competition, because that's the reality of a business. However, when those huge price prediction would come in reality I guess we will see btc at $200k or even bigger than that value.

If we are going to consider what we are seeing right now and if this trend will continue, Bitcoin will continue for the next ten years, there are a lot of fo things that are going to happen on this period but everything is for the good of the industry as much new technology will be created revolving around Cryptocurrency, maybe in the next ten years, there will be lesser scamming going on.

Not to be a killjoy but I have to but it's too early to say that bitcoin will be able to survive or even get to that 500k but I am optimistic that it will reach there but I don't think that 10 years is enough time to build up that momentum. A lot of things can happen in 10 years so it's too early for me to say anything else.

Survival is assurance because for the last 11 years it made the highest growth currency in the world and stays stronger even the moment you created this thread so what more for the next 10 years?
I'm sure the biggest and the highest valued currency in the world is soon to be revealed for that span of time.
and also Bitcoin is now starting to be adopted , if half of the world accepts this as currency then be ready because it may valued more than 7 digits then .

we have managed to see the Rise and fall and how risky this market is, meaning another 10 years assurance is really hard to presume .
But of course all of us are praying that this will continue growing for the next 10-50 years from now.

Just because bitcoin survived for a decade doesn't mean that it will for another decade and so on. Remember that change is constant and if another one appears and are much more powerful than bitcoin then bitcoin will get left behind. Hopefully it will do but we can't assume that there is similarities in the past with the future.

2 Scenarios.

1. Bitcoin will be at 6 digits price or possible 7 digit per piece.
2. Bitcoin will disappear.

Whatever happens, we don't know the future. I'm very optimistic when it comes to Bitcoin and its future since many are using it, supporting it, and knows it already but on the other hand there is still a chance that something bad might happen like Bitcoin will disappear or Bitcoin will crash after 10 years. I'm not being pessimistic here but I'm just saying possibilities :).

Either way, its too early to predict right now. Ask this again in 2025 :D.

I believe it will be here 10 years from now. That is, if Bitcoin survives this bear market.  ;)
I believe the current selloff is being driven by uncertainty and misunderstandings, such as the Chinese government to ban BTC exchanges. I believe Bitcoin's fundamentals are intact and it will likely end the current bear market by the end of 2020.

Whether the price still has high volatility, people will still invest in bitcoin because they believe that bitcoin can give them the way to make money.
Cryptocurrency has already grown over the last 10 years, and it will grow more in the future.
The price can increase year by year, but we do not have the right prediction about the price to be at any price.

The only important part about this is that price could increase year to year and knowing that is enough. Sure there will be down times and nobody argues that the price will always go up without ever going down, we have just lived through a 50%+ drop in bitcoin price (and a ton in altcoins as well) so we know that the price will fall time to time. However if you buy crypto and hold it long enough you will always profit.

Knowing that just makes me so happy, I can't even have that guarantee in any company, it could be apple or google or facebook or amazon or any other company and I have zero trust that they will be higher in 10 years, they could be but there is no trust from me to them, however in bitcoin I know that in 10 years it will be higher than what it is right now, even higher than the ATH price. Knowing that makes me feel comfortable.

On survival Bitcoin will survive not only for ten years but for many years to come, on the price we have no way to know could be $1 million dollars, but I'm sure it will reach six figures as it moves to its tenth year, provided that the trust of the community is still there and no new coin will eclipse it's popularity if Bitcoin is better now it will be even better before it's next ten years.

clearly bitcoin will not experience significant changes, there are only price changes that will occur in the next 10 years but for everything else it will be the same. the clear hope is that bitcoin will increase in price tremendously in the next 10 years.

On survival Bitcoin will survive not only for ten years but for many years to come, on the price we have no way to know could be $1 million dollars, but I'm sure it will reach six figures as it moves to its tenth year, provided that the trust of the community is still there and no new coin will eclipse it's popularity if Bitcoin is better now it will be even better before it's next ten years.
you are right, it is clear that bitcoin will always be the same as i said, that what will change is maybe the price attached to bitcoin, but I can't analyze well whether the price of bitcoin will be up to $ 1 million as you said. because actually we are waiting for the end of this year, the latest ATH that bitcoin will achieve will be at what price, then we can analyze it for the next 10 years.

there will always be a coin that will be a rival of bitcoin which is none other than ethereum, because it is estimated that ethereum will also experience a sharp increase with the latest system changes. if there is a significant improvement then the threat may come only from ethereum. for other coins, it seems like it will be difficult because the market cap is too high, there is a very high gap

Nothing to worry about the next ten years of survival. Compared to its previous years of market progress, what it has attained this year is very big. If this continued progress keeps moving forward we can expect more growth than decline in the market. More adoption and regulations on usage also makes the network strong by the falling years.

Finding a project that can create opacity and actively compete with bitcoin in the following years is relatively difficult, the most valuable products have also become quiet after years of competition, the next decade for bitcoin will probably also be up and down, there are no fixed numbers but the route outlined will be further growth with each passing year. I don't know how many of us will continue to stay here but the image of us with bitcoin in the years to come is something worth celebrating and remembering, turning to bitcoin is what makes the most difference in our lives

bitcoin will always remain the best and as you said it will be difficult to compete with bitcoin is the reality and it is very difficult until now to just get close to it. As long as bitcoin and altcoins are very profitable, there will still be many who will always be on the path of crypto and will not leave anything good to look for in every transaction made.

bitcoin will always be an excellent alternative to investment now and in the future and we don't and we haven't seen anyone shift away from bitcoin. as long as bitcoin always makes a profitable contribution, there will always be an investment. how much bitcoin price is expected in the next 10 years will be seen from the renewable ATH that bitcoin will receive at the end of this year. so don't avoid saving bitcoins because time is still there.

From my perspective bitcoin is like a continuous process, since it has been introduced to the world, it will keep on accelerating, now using the current price compared to when bitcoin was initiated as a case of study, bitcoin was launched as digital currency in the year 2009, so this year is making bitcoin twelve  (12) years, and it's obvious that in 2009 bitcoin values in price is not at the same rate currently, meaning that bitcoin is getting known to people every month and every year, and immediately it be known to people, people also invest on it, so using this medium to recapitulate this, cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin keep on getting valid immediately the year is turning, so thinking of what bitcoin can yields in next ten (10) years, it will be quite different from the initial, using digits as illustration, now assuming BTC is =$3 this year, in next three year's it might be at range of =$10 because of adoption of it.

That is the correct assessment about bitcoin in the future but people forget about the 10 year plan, they think about making money right now. Why do you think there are so many people who lose money on futures these days? Even the newbies of the trading world go for futures right away because they can use 100x leverages and then long bitcoin or short bitcoin, which then becomes a total loss in a second when bitcoin goes to other direction. Which means that people should not be trusted with their own money.

However if you stopped that, made a good portfolio, just add on it every time you have some money and do this for 10 years? You are going to retire, I do not care if you work for minimum wage or part time and age 20, if you do this you are going to be able to retire in 10 years. Because people should be able to throw in 50 bucks at least maybe more into bitcoin every month and when the price goes 100x and more that means you are going to profit a lot since you put in every month.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?

Survival is not the question. The value is the question.
Look at how Bitcoin came so far from more than 10 years while It has almost no value in 2010.
Imagine Bitcoin today trading at $33,000,in the next 10 years it would for sure multiply for a possible 7 digit figure.
Again, the question is not about survival, its the value.

10 years is such a long period of time anyway, why won't we speculate on the next 3-5 years during the next 4 year cycle?
10 years is a round number and we know that people have a tendency to look at those numbers, take a look at what happens on the markets, the 10000 level and the 10001 level should have had the same chances of becoming a resistance level of bitcoin when bitcoin was trading below that value, but we know that it was the 10000 level the one that was difficult to overcome, so I think this is what is happening here, besides 10 years is far enough for most people to consider long term but not so far away to dismiss it with the answer that it is impossible to know what will happen at that point as those that ask what will happen 30+ years down the road.

I am absoluten convinced we will see a stronger and ever growing global Bitcoin ecosystem with much more technological improvements to come. Bitcoin will probably be accepted for tax payments pretty much in any country around the world and national banks will hold decent reserves themselves. Ten years is a very long time for Bitcoin to enfold its unlimited potential. It is indeed unlimited because it has so many implications in different disciplines. Social, political, economic, maybe even cultural. There will be developments we haven't even thought of yet. Bitcoin is going to dominate or at least regulate the global economic order, I could imagine.

No reason not to survive, just the bigger question of will it be used and be useful.  There is always competition possible and obviously alternatives do exist but none as secure so far.   I've always thought the most popular will eventually be the result of what is most usable to the widest range of people not this whale idea and similar top heavy led success.  What I expect is the other way round in the most usable in simple ways not an elitist development; this is decentralization via even distribution.
That idea involves continued growth of new accounts and users, so price is secondary to whether we do grow in people a far more valuable measure.

Survival is actually never an issue because if Bitcoin won't survive then the whole market as well for sure .

Bitcoin Stands strong for the last more than 10 years , meaning another 10 years wasn't really that crucial to achieve.
What we all need to know is how much can this go? do the increasing will continue every after halving? or at time this will leave the rank number 1 and will go down together with other altcoins?

for me this is what  we need to be concern off.

to trade with leverage, this is what ends up making people lose a lot of money. We all need to understand that the safest way to profit from Bitcoin is
as investors and long term investment in Bitcoin. I agree with you, by regularly buying Bitcoin for 10 years, it will make us rich 10 years later.
Of course there's a good chance that our future is secure and we can retire and enjoy life, Bitcoin can provide that in 10 years.

Six figures is a mere formality if you ask me, might take 3 more years but reaching $100k is inevitable. I am looking towards the million-dollar Bitcoin because I have seen ups and downs and I am glad I got into this market and community at the right time and watching Bitcoin touch a million dollar would be a dream come true moment for all the crypto enthusiasts like me out there.

A 10-year is a lot of time though and predicting things is really hard. I can almost write down one thing and be sure of it to happen after 10 years and that is, the price of Bitcoin will be at least 5 times from what it is now and I don't think any investment even today can guarantee you 5x profits in 10 years. That's the minimum I expect in terms of growth for bitcoins.

That's a realistic yet unbelievable reality you are talking about. I mean surely we can all afford to put $100 worth of bitcoins in a wallet for the next 10 years and maybe we don't ever have to work after the 10 year period, like you said just retire!

I have seen people paying premiums for their life insurances much higher than $100/month and I wish I was able to convince myself to put $50 or 100 every month into a wallet. I guess it's not too late just yet and you might have given me a really good roadmap for my life. I am not even joking right now.

Making $100 is really easy as a part of many crypto projects and airdrops and all, I can easily manage that much per month. I wish to see you here at the forum after 10 years hopefully :).

I expect a huge market competition and a lot of struggles in the market like banned in some countries. But I don't give a doubt that Bitcoin will go down dipper instead it folded multiple times. If we have 1million current users (as an example), I believe it multiplied by 100 times not possible, right? That probably because the adoption keeps improving and moving forward. It can't be a smooth process but for sure Bitcoin will go to far in the future.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price? Will Bitcoin survive ?
On survival Bitcoin will survive not only for ten years but for many years to come, on the price we have no way to know could be $1 million dollars, but I'm sure it will reach six figures as it moves to its tenth year, provided that the trust of the community is still there and no new coin will eclipse it's popularity if Bitcoin is better now it will be even better before it's next ten years.

Thanks for being realistic. Everyone here is discussing whether six figures will happen this week or next week, but I agree with you. That could very well take another three years as we have seen in the past before Bitcoin makes the next move. New infrastructure in place, better laws and regulation, easier to use apps to use crypto and secure it and so on and so forth. There is no point for Bitcoin to go up forever. People adjust their opinions, those who today say that Bitcoin is a scam might say that Bitcoin is no scam in two years from now and they start using it themselves. Having more realistic time horizons is important.

What can we expect from the NEXT 10 years of Bitcoin? speculation in price?
No perfect speculation can be made for next year also and we are talking about 10 years later and it maybe $1 million also. This might seems to be too high at this time but have we imagined in 2009-2010 when it was $0.003 that in 2021 we would hit $64k to reach btc ATH of this year with market cap hitting $1 trillion also within 12 year of benchmark so any number you can imagine is possible to hit for Bitcoin in next coming years with mass adoption.

Will Bitcoin survive ?
If it can survive major crashes you should have no possible deductions or confusions in your mind that it will be globally trading at that time.If bitcoin will not be there then not any other altcoin will be available in market and fiat would also be outdated until some other technical payment source which can built such trust system among people will be used. But speaking frankly can we say we can survive till next 10 years? So who can give you guarantee of cryptocurrencies so it's better to ensure our present is not compromised with future assumptions.

nowadays more and more people know about bitcoin. This pandemic is forcing many people to stay home and do something that makes money. we don't need to speculate too much, what is clear in the next 10 years bitcoin will still exist and its price will continue to grow. what we need to do now is little by little to collect bitcoins for future investment.

First, as an asset, Bitcoin is safer and more convenient than gold. This is the first innovation in human history. Everyone can buy and hold it fairly. Ten years later, the price will be unclear, but it should be higher than it is now, because every four years, Bitcoin will become scarcer and more valuable.

Virtual digital currency is based on blockchain technology. At present, many countries are conducting blockchain research. Bitcoin and other virtual currencies have a bright future and will stimulate people's interest in decentralization. The best way is to take a look. Compare the Bitcoin price and the number of users ten years ago with the current one.

we have managed to see the Rise and fall and how risky this market is, meaning another 10 years assurance is really hard to presume .
But at least i am Positively looking for brighter future because i invested here with full trust and i even afford for being HOLDER so you can't expect me to look down for that another 10 years mate .
because in this my investment relies and for my family's future .but of course i only invest here the funds that i can carry to lose .

I think bitcoin will continue to last forever, because it follows the development of an increasingly advanced era, of course, humans want something easier and faster, including in terms of financial transactions and investments and bitcoin is the best solution to this need, when referring to the dwindling supply of bitcoin, Of course it is very likely that the price of bitcoin will be very expensive in the next 10 years and this cannot be separated from the increasing number of investors and institutional traders who start investing in bitcoin and I think in the future many countries in the world will adopt bitcoin for ease of transactions.

In the next 10 years we will see a massive adoption of Bitcoin throughout all existing financial institution. Whether, it is on fast food chain, local shop, boutique, mall and others. Once Bitcoin has been integrated within our existing system we will see a significant increase in efficiency, accuracy and speed. For example: In the current banking system we have to today it is prone to error such as misplace funds and transaction not pushing through. On the other hand, with Bitcoin we can see everything on the Blockchain, we can trace every fine detail of its transaction. Less error = More time spent on other things. Also, having a secure and reliable means of payment with a 100% transparency is the best thing you can possibly have. Buy Bitcoin today and let tomorrow speak of your successes.

next 10 years? as an illustration let's go back to 10 years ago. 10 years ago the price of 1 bitcoin was much cheaper than the price of a used motorcycle. but the price of bitcoin is now equivalent to a new car, even the highest price of bitcoin yesterday almost equaled the price of a sports car. maybe in the next 10 years (from now) the price of bitcoin is on par with a private jet.

This is what we expect, faster and more secure transaction system. The current bank system often has problems, I am a mobile banking user which in my opinion is too slow and frequent interruptions. In addition, the very large transaction costs to other countries can be overcome with blockchain transactions. I'm optimistic that in 10 years bitcoin will change the world a lot in transactions system.

If we put basis on the past 10 years as preference for present price I will say that bitcoin will rise 10 years from now. We all witness the price of btc that hit 60k$ this year and we all saw the price of btc in year 2010 is start trading at 0.08$ it has a very big difference from today's price it means bitcoin is always rising so 10 years from now maybe bitcoin will reach new ATH.

No idea, 10 years is still too far to predict right now. Although Bitcoin already survives more than 10 years, it doesn't mean Bitcoin to survive 10 years more in the future. But a good thing is Bitcoin be more popular right now and its adoption continues well. If there will be no global ban for Bitcoin and more countries to do the same thing as El Salvador, then Bitcoin can have a chance to survive a long time. However, I think there is no certain time about how long Bitcoin to survive.

Looking at the current conditions and trends I believe bitcoin can last 10 years or more, the community and transaction volume that continues toincrease and the number of countries that legalize bitcoin certainly makes us believe in the future of bitcoin, so I don't hesitate to invest and hold long term.
