Yes, Bitcoin is and to my opinion will remain the favourite choice of majority of Bitcoin investors. No altcoin has managed to push back Bitcoin and I don't think we'll see that. In fact I think that with time the number of altcoins will get lower and Bitcoin will become even more powerful and its place at the market will get stronger and stronger.

And if you are long enough in this forum, bitcoin has died many times already owed to the haters especially those who sold at a loss.  :P Also, when bitcoin is crashing, you can read a lot of FUD and comments like bitcoin will be dead soon. And despite all those hates, bitcoin remain its position. People come and go, new crypto users or investors. And now, most crypto users just want to hold btc for long term, for the hope that they will get very good profit someday.

Although there are so many good altcoins that created but I still invest more than 50% of my fund in bitcoin. For me bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for investment. Usually I don't trading bitcoin I just buy and hold and it is enough to give me big profit. Usually I only invest max 10% of my fund in altcoin because it is hard to find project that have good people behind it, good road map, and good opportunity. Also the risk also high because if the altcoin fail or too slow to grow the number of it users or have difficulty to complete the road map then my investment profit will be smaller than my expectation. But I am lucky because I found TRX because it used by gamers community which is very big and growing, I also gamer too so this altcoin is very useful for me, I think this altcoin have big potential so I invest more than 25% of my fund to this altcoin. It is bringing financial freedom for the early adopters and investors and that's why it's not too late for the new investors to buy it. While many of them are hoping to get that the same result from the early investors of bitcoin with the other altcoins that they may seem to think that it's still on the early stage and they're lucky enough to buy it as an investor of it. I think that you raise a very valid point here.  Bitcoin being first gives it a major competitive advantage, there is no question about that.  It's important to remember that due to being first, it has the "early movers advantage".  It's also important to remember that because it was first, it has been battle tested unlike any other coin has.  Coins such as bitcoin cash and others like to say that they have a much cheaper and fast blockchain, and that is true, but what they don't mention is that none of them have every had nearly the type of inflow and outflows that bitcoin has.  It truly has been battle tested.  Sure there are test-nets, but until a coin has actually had that type of flows, it's all conjecture when it comes to talking about how well it would hold up.

You're definitely right that Bitcoin has been around for the longest, because of course it was the first to showcase and use the blockchain technology. I think the big mistake that Satoshi made was underestimating the popularity of Bitcoin and putting a hard cap of 21 million on it. The idea of stopping inflation with what looked like a huge number in circulation was great and certainly helped build the popularity in the early years, but it is now proving to be a bit impractical in some ways. Every day more and more Bitcoin gets lost - as we saw with John McAffee and Micrea Popescu who died suddenly, making large amounts inaccessible. While it is good for raising the price short term, in the long term it is going to cause Bitcoin to lose some appeal and actual practical functionality if we are left with an ever diminishing pile of available coins.

There are many reasons why bitcoin will always be main coin in market. bictcoin pioneer in crypto. had a large and strong community.  had possibility of higher prices than today, although there are many new coins with better features but I don't think anyone will be able to surpass bitcoin. and also many altcoin and project also depending on bitcoin.

Hopefully, they know that bitcoin prices have high volatility and that can flow to any price. If they are ready with that, they can join in bitcoin but I guess only some people can be ready for that and the rest will worry and panic if they see the price is down a lot.

The price now is down again to $33,500 after reaching $36k. It seems the price will make another correction and hopefully, the price will not go low than $30k. But the trend is down in the daily timeframe, so we need to make a strategy to face the worst situation.

I don't think that bitcoin will ever reach the point where it is used as a global currency, as a way to for microtrasaction and on the day to day bases bitcoin has a lot of problems, considering high fees and long transaction time, it is true that bitcoin has and is facing a lot of hardship and still it is the best investment out there but only as an investment and for it to reach the point of becoming a widely used currency a lot needs to be chnaged about it.

Personally, I looked at Bitcoin as something illegal back then that's why I never chose to invest to it, then someone from my social circle corrected those misconceptions.

I am sure there will be a solution to that because we can not depend on the existing energy so we need to search for other renewable energy to make bitcoin continue to grow. Yes, I also predict that the bitcoin price gets down below $30k but hopefully, that will not happen. The bearish chart is still there, but I am sure the bullish chart will come soon and see bitcoin start to increase. That has always been the same for Bitcoin. There were always a couple of core developers or contributors who had their personal opinion and tried to influence the protocol development. Take for example the fork caused by Roger Ver or when Mike Hearn left the boat as core developer because he was for another route than, I can't recall, another core developer. There are definitely interests and power involved for Bitcoin as well.

I am not sure whether this is true anymore. Bitcoin has already attained an ATH of $62,000 this year. How much further it can go up? The total global wealth is around $400 trillion right now, and the market cap of gold is around $12 trillion. I would assume that the maximum possible appreciation for BTC it up to the market cap of gold in the next 5 to 10 years. That means a 20x increase from the current levels. A 20x increase in you assets, within the next 10 years is going to make you a billionaire? I don't think that is the case with the vast majority of the investors. They may become rich, but definitely not millionaires or billionaires (unless you already own a few hundred coins).

I don't think it's like that, because basically due to the Chinese ban some time ago it caused a pretty decent decline because even with this Bitcoin experienced a pretty drastic decline, and to some extent it would affect these companies (who adopted Bitcoin).

No you aren't real very well up to date. ;) The Amazon rumors turned out to be a fake and Amazon explicitly explained in public that there are no plans to accept Bitcoin on their platform in 2021, as was stated in the article. Bitcoin is the standard. Bitcoin is the proof that Crypto is alive and will stand the test of time. My crypto portfolio is 75% Bitcoin, ever since I started and I know plenty of people still has bitcoin as their major cut of the pie. What this show is more that just belief, its TRUST.
