I got to know about crypto recovery scams sometime back. They Prey on the victims being so desperate to try and recover what they have just been scammed  ;D

One of the golden rules in crypto is, once you lose money to scammers, don't bother recovering it. You may end up falling into another scam trap inform of Bitcoin recovery services especially if they ask you to make payment upfront.

I remember the time when Cloud mining was filling the forum with threads and even though they were getting red tagged some newbie would fall for it and then after a few days a site calling them would arrive with claims to be able to recover their money albeit with a little "fee". There also used to be newbie accounts posing as hackers who could recover such lost money at a cost.

All these are scams and they are able to operate due to lack of knowledge about how to use crypto. I dont see this changing in future though as long as bitcoin remains something in the "outlaw" situation and people still willing to invest in it. They think its like banking and money is reversible which is not.

Users should report the above site to namecheap, more chances of it being taken down.

There's still a lot of cloudmining still operating to this day but not in the forum, when I introduced crypto to my friends with my little knowledge that I have with crypto, they started sharing at our group chat different cloudminings from Telegram and even Ponzi schemes, I warned them about this but it seems that they won't listen, maybe I need to press them hard enough.

I share your sentiment some people look at Cryptocurrency the way they look at traditional payment processors where you can recover your lost fund, what's their level of knowledge on Cryptocurrency that they think of vulnerabilities or exploit that they can get their coins back.
Little knowledge on how Cryptocurrency works when trading is very dangerous, it's a pity that people have to get scammed to learn the facts about Bitcoin, there's a saying experience is the best teacher as much as possible do not apply it here in Cryptocurrency you will lose a lot of money.

It's a tradition all those who come into crypto always learn it the hard way, it's either when been scammed or when they invest in a fake projects it only then they start taking cautions and doing research, your friends will not listen to you, they will start taking your advice after they are scammed... Can you provide the link to the site?

It's not really good to say that it is a tradition to learn the hard way, I mean I didn't fall for any of this because I tried to break the tradition and remove the notion that crypto is a get rick quick scheme. That's what I am trying to say to them but they don't listen, the money promised is too good to be true that's why I said it was a scam.
