Title: [SCAM ALERT] Tesla dogecoin fake airdrop website including bbc news fake website
Post by: ScamViruS on July 05, 2021, 05:31:58 PM
I saw an advertisement of Tesla on Facebook. That ad says dogecoin's big airdrop. And since there is a lot of talk about dogecoin in the crypto market, people will be more attracted to it, my fears were correct. That ad has already reached a lot of people, you can understand when you see the reactions of the people in that post.

What happened: Tesla dogecoin fake airdrop website.
Website:
Code:
https://tesla.com-giveaway.me/dogecoin/giveaway/
BBC fake website:
Code:
https://bbcnews.app/news/business-59544026/?tk=Q8IS1LmWap6yulRVbnjesKZqTMBOc7i9

Page: https://www.facebook.com/TesIaOfficial/

Dogecoin Address: DTESLA2XirGEu5ckzLj9xFiNDU6BqwWxkB

They have created a fake BBC News website to make the fake airdrop more credible, so that people believe in their fake airdrop. Scammers are now very active to scam using the name of Dogecoin. So newbies should stay away from such scams to keep themselves safe.

The scammer's fake Tesla page is still active. Even today, scammers use this page to advertise fake airdrop on facebook. Facebook's system of approving ads is really disgusting, they are approving the advertisement of a scam website for money.

Welp, the website still up and running. It might be good if it will be reported to namecheap and shutdown to avoid any more victims, since there are stills lots of newbie and non-newbies who still believe such scheme in the internet.

EDIT: I just submitted a report to both websites on namecheap, hope it got suspended soon.

Thank you for reporting this fake website to namecheap. These websites remain online because very few people expose and report on such websites. Scammers are currently advertising these fake websites using the platforms of various advertisers. Which is very dangerous, because it can attract a huge amount of new investors. So if these websites can be taken down through reports, they will not be able to do anything with paid advertisements.

I have reported a site as well where they use fake BBC website design. Here it is, bbcnews.app | Fake Tesla doge giveaway  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346642.0). They are taking advantage of Facebook ads and spreading phishing sites to scam us. Tesla & Elon fake giveaway has become the most famous scam technic nowadays and I think crypto users have become aware of it. Some greedy newbies would just fall into this trap. Anyway, we need to make more awareness to prevent scammers.

I support the report and I will try to report also to Namecheap so that many people report faster and suspend it, it is our effort to eradicate fake sites that are troubling even this website has been online for quite a while so that is our way to Act.

The scammers have taken many actions from various paid advertising things, hacked youtube, created a new site with the original then all of that will definitely be done by scamers to get money from the trick, so act the sooner the report will be better.

So far the muskreturn[dot]com cannot be accessed right now, but its not yet suspended (I guess, since there's no message of it which usually the case when a particular domain is suspended) and the bbcnews clone is now just a dull single page website, hoping the other domain will be next.

I reported the websites and the FB page. that being said I hope you guys can also report this FB page "https://www.facebook.com/Teslaautocar". I created a thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339417.msg57072206#msg57072206) about it months ago and reported it on Facebook and all these months Facebook hasn't done anything about it. perhaps another mass report could do the job.

The website is already down. And to get the Facebook page suspended, we should report to Facebook itself.

This is how we can do this.
Step 1: Click on "Three Dots"

Step 2: Click on "Find support or report Page"

Step 3:  Click on "Scams and fake pages" after that also click on "fake page"

Click "next" and "done"

Don't mind; I know most of you guys already know about it. but trust me it could be helpful to newbies

Yes, I did it too, but I don't know if they're experiencing the penalty now coz I didn't see any posts on that facebook page now (I just visited it btw.) Hoping it will be take down too, coz even there are lots of warning online on how to avoid scams, I guess those are still not enough since there lots people getting scammed.

There's a lot of this kind of fake advertising even in Facebook, they are exploiting the sponsorship feature of Facebook so they can appear in the timelines of many users hoping to bait someone into scamming, hopefully many people will see this and hopefully prevent this kind of stuff from happening again.

There is no difference all scripts are the same.
And I see someone has been spreading this fake site a lot on various social media groups.

Adding another fake Tesla site to make it visibility in search.
Code:
 https://dogecampaign.cf
As usual, the scammer has been using the same script by replacing it with a new domain. This is a group of scammer who has been using the same script. So guys mark the script instead of the domain. I am just worried about brand new crypto users who aren't familiar with this type of scam. Hope they will take a lesson from here.
