It may have been the best investment in the past and will continue to be so in the future, but I think as for Bitcoin we will pass $100k this cycle and $1M next cycle. No. The price of being able to get into crypto is much higher than investing into stocks, bonds and other fiat markets. In majority of third world countries this price of bitcoin is a huge amount. Hence I would say that the time for entering bitcoin has passed a few years back when the price was three digit or four digit and now is the price to sell. But yes looking at the long term even today if someone gets into crypto they will likely profit in future.

A matter of semantics here. Blockchain is a technology. Digital currency is the again divided into digital fiat and crypto and maybe more which I am not aware of. Have to agree with this one because I find that other investment tools out there is really difficult to be used and most of them aren't user friendly because you have to learn the basics and the intermediate parts first like stock market unlike cryptocurrency where the basics is all that you need.

Say all the good things about it already :). As for me, I'm just happy that I involved myself into this revolution of the future. I'm just glad that I learned cryptocurrency way back in 2017. I'm not good in technical aspects of it but at least I know the basics. I see crypto as a life changer for me because it really changed my life and my way of thinking in life. From 8-5 employee back in 2017 to a freelance where I can work whenever I want to. Investing in crypto is for me the best decision that I've made in my whole life.

Before crypto I felt like I was playing a game where I was capped up while others kept on leveling and getting extra stuff from the DM, which meant that no matter what I do there would never be enough room for me to grow bigger or reach to those people, it was unfair and I had nothing I could do about it.

And you seems to have made your investment at the worst possible time. A few months back, the exchange rates fell by 85%, and hit $3,000 per coin. But I should appreciate your patience and integrity, since you didn't sold your coins. So if I am not wrong, you had to wait 3 years to get back in to green (the prices moved past your purchase price again by Q3 2020).

That's a shame, I can tell you one better, I have been around since 2013 and I haven't invested big into bitcoin, and the worst part, all the ones I invested ended up selling after getting a good return but not great ones.

I remember buying at 150 bucks, selling at 400 or so, I remember buying at 3k and selling at 10k as soon as it was reached, I finally got wiser and bought at 6k or so last march, and what did I do? I spent it on a project and now have nearly nothing (paid my debts at least).

I could have been a multi millionaire easily if I just kept all my bitcoins to myself, it is really hard to do so when you have to live a life and spend it on life stuff but it was a brilliant moment to get into bitcoin and wait, if I kept every single coin I made and sold them at 64k I would have 16 million dollars now, what do I have instead? Just a few years of being full-time crypto and that's it, sure I lived a life, paid bills, covered hospital visits, all that, didn't earned a single dollar fiat and never went to work all of that is awesome but comparing 5 years of decent life versus 16 million dollars hurts a lot.

Op, you forgot to include "the right time". If you join Cryptocurrency when bitcoin was around $60k, believe me your heart will be doing you somehow by now even if you are a long term holder, watching your investment burn isn't palatable for emotion of human.
While crypto is very exciting and easy investment with little knowledge, the most important part is volatility. When there is high volatility, we tend to make sweet profit but when you are caught up in wrong trade, it's a fuc*** problem especially when it's related to Chinese news or crackdown.

I agree with some of your points and I truly believe that somehow crypto will be playing a big part in the Future. Somehow, crypto isn't built for that. Cryptocurrency is mainly identified as a payment to buy goods and services and not purely as an investment. Its price is derived mainly by its utility and trust given by its community.

We're at about $33000 right now, so it would take 3x to make it to 6 digits.  In the time it takes that to happen, it is just as likely that the a basket of technology stocks triples or maybe even the S&P index in that same amount of time.  I think at this point, bitcoin is just going to largely correlate with the overall stock market.

In my opinion, it takes courage to take a position in crypto it's impossible to take a position without courage fearful people can't rise up because they're always in fear plow ahead with the danger the market must try the market. The more familiar you're with crypto the more problems you affect the crypto market will improve tons within the future and it's the proper time to take a position by handling risk. If you progress forward with courage you be ready to win an excellent victory.

What people need to be careful about however is that for every amazon or microsoft or bitcoin, there are tens of thousands of failed projects, and thousands that didn't made anyone that much money. I mean you could have bought some of EVERY IPO in the world whenever they happen, and you wouldn't be that rich right now, of course hitting those magical ones would have made you so much money, but that doesn't change the fact that without those huge ones, the good and bad ones balance each other out, only reason you would be in profit would be the huge ones.

I can name maybe 10-20 companies in the last 2-3 decades that made people THIS much money, of course some made money but not this much, and that means there is a good chance we could maybe lose money in crypto with new coins as well, if you keep investing into every ICO or IDO or IEO or whatever, that doesn't mean that you will be profiting a ton from it.

I hope you told them that using a bot needs a much better grip of the tech behind it in order to avoid getting malware and scammed from fake bots and scams that run in the social media groups. It is the duty of the younger generation to teach these people so they dont get scammed.

I dont think a comparison of stocks and crypto can be made like that. There are pros and cons of both. While companies that have been in the world for decades and running smoothly, it makes sense to buy their stocks if the price drops - this will be a long term investment for anybody.

Bitcoin is mostly a good source for mid to long term too. In the short term, one should not be too hopeful with it, losses are more likely unless you are a seasoned trader. Hence a balance between fiat market investments and crypto* investments should be made.

Just check out how some small pharmaceutical companies went through the roof exactly because the pandemic happened. Some speculated big time on it and I just read about a guy who was ok in life and quite well situated but bought tons of shares of a company that now participates in providing vaccines and boom. There are alternatives to Bitcoin as well depending on the circumstances that sometimes can't be foreseen.
