Title: Any crypto spot and derivatives demo trading apps you know? Post by: Bitcoin_Arena on July 19, 2021, 11:44:05 PM I have a friend I recently introduced to Bitcoin and crypto trading, but he's still trying to understand the basics of placing orders and the different order types. There are a wide variety of test net platforms which I know would help him, but currently he is using a mobile phone and the testnet websites are not mobile friendly.
Does anyone know of any good crypto demo trading apps? I am not interested in the likes of Metatrader. I want something purely crypto and looks like the Bybit or Binance official trading app. Title: Re: Any crypto spot and derivatives demo trading apps you know? Post by: GreatArkansas on July 20, 2021, 12:43:07 AM There are a lot of platforms for this, some are calling it "testnet" of an exchange, here are the following exchange that got testnet.
https://testnet.bitmex.com/ - Bitmex https://testnet.bybit.com/ - Bybit Currently, these two are I know that are reputable, especially Bitmex, which I already tried their testnet a few years ago and it's still now working as I checked. Using these kinds of platforms first before using the real/actual one with real money involved is good. Title: Re: Any crypto spot and derivatives demo trading apps you know? Post by: adaseb on July 20, 2021, 04:11:16 AM He can just use Tradingview, it has a demo option. You are given some fake money and you can buy anything with it. Only issue is that I am not sure if it will work on a mobile phone, he will need either a computer and use a browser or maybe if he has a tablet the larger screen will allow him to trade demo.
My advice to him is that he should just open a real account somewhere, and trade futures using $1 contracts. That way he is trading live and if he loses he will lose fractions of a coin instead of real money. Trading demo is not good because everyone is a great trader when there is no money involved. However if he trades pennies, there will be some fear and it'll change his outcome and it'll be harder than it looks. Title: Re: Any crypto spot and derivatives demo trading apps you know? Post by: Maus0728 on July 20, 2021, 04:13:34 AM I tried the OKEx Demo Trading Platform when it was still a little clunky, but you may still give it another try and see if it improves. This is the platform that I used to practice learning the fundamentals of futures and perpetual contracts. Below is the article to find their demo platform[1].

Post by: Potato Chips on July 20, 2021, 06:26:52 AM I'm not sure if you can access it within their app but the demo version of kraken's futures is mobile friendly, see: Test/demo accounts (https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026192132-Test-demo-accounts)
For reference, I tried it with a low end device I only use for watching = Unisoc SC9863A, 4GB RAM in Bromite browser In addition, I found a Binance demo platform[2], however I'm not sure if it's an official one. [2] https://testnet.binancefuture.com/en/futures/BTCUSDT It's indeed the official one as per their article Binance offers a couple of options for paper trading. For instance, the Binance Futures Testnet (https://testnet.binancefuture.com/en/futures/BTCUSDT?utm_source=BinanceAcademy) provides a full-fledged interface Title: Re: Any crypto spot and derivatives demo trading apps you know? And it's very easy to find some application for a mobile user. What i mean even you make a simple research through google..in fact if you always use the "TRADING" keywords in your browser even in youtube you can see some advertisement from some exchanges that offering free demo account.. Btw i saw this list (https://www.hedgewithcrypto.com/bitcoin-demo-trading/) maybe it can help. Does anyone know of any good crypto demo trading apps? I am not interested in the likes of Metatrader. I am looking for one too so this is a helpful one because I want to do something that is definitely a big mistake but I can learn a lot from it.

The testnet website of bybit is the best place to do a practice trading because it offers the actual feature of the crypto trading which is perfect for newbie that familiarising the crypto trading. [2] https://testnet.binancefuture.com/en/futures/BTCUSDT Yeah I know about them, they are good on computer but they are not mobile phone friendly. I was looking for one of those platforms that has an app where one can set up a demo account/simulated trading He can just use Tradingview, it has a demo option. You are given some fake money and you can buy anything with it. Only issue is that I am not sure if it will work on a mobile phone, he will need either a computer and use a browser or maybe if he has a tablet the larger screen will allow him to trade demo. 1. Demo option doesn't seem to work in the mobile appMy advice to him is that he should just open a real account somewhere, and trade futures using $1 contracts. However if he trades pennies, there will be some fear and it'll change his outcome and it'll be harder than it looks. 2. There are no options for trading using leverage on crypto markets He will use some money later. I wanted him to first get familiar with the different types of trades and orders as stated in the OP. |
