Hello, I am trying to figure out how to add an avatar to my profile. I thought it would be under forum profile information but it is unfortunately not.
I also thought it may be restricted to newbies, so even after upgrading to copper membership I still don't see the option?
Can someone please guide me in the right direction or tell me theres some other form of restriction on adding an avatar?
And yes ive read the faq's and searched google

You have to be a full member to wear an avatar.

Once you are, you then go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar

Everyone's wanted an avatar but full member rank isn't too hard to get I don't think if you're here for authentic reasons.

Simply from staying active, posting, having more activity and getting merits.

Check, read and understand the new rank requirements to answer your question here - Merit & new rank requirement (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0), and unfortunately there's no faq page here.

1-10----100 (Merit), you can automatically install the avatar.

How, you must be able to enter this group: Topic: The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5185736.0), You need to check members there how they do it, just check their posts.

The way you learn how group members and they do, you will be motivated to do like them.
You have to beat them every week to keep your name on top.

In a way like they do and still maintain achievements, your wishes will come true in the near future.

Not only do you have to actively post high-quality posts, it also takes a certain amount of time to reach a higher level.

You have to register for at least 126 days to get 120 activities
Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

It is recommended to read this post first
Newbies - Read before posting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0)

Activity is increased by posting and is updated every hour; however, the updated number of activity points will be reflected at your profile at the end of the current activity period. As a note, in case you have latent activity points from earlier periods (meaning activity periods where you didn't post daily: in this case, the days when you did not post become latent activity points), these ones will be updated on your profile after 1 hour. You can gain a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

@OutlawsGrandSon
The most important things to remember about avatars were already mentioned. I just wanted to add that you might run into members of lower ranks who are wearing avatars. That's because the requirement to be a full-member to were one wasn't always there. In the past, everyone except newbies could wear avatars. But that got changed in 2014/2015 when it became necessary to be a full-member.

Those low-rank users you see wearing avatars today uploaded their avatars before the new restrictions. A few members of the account recovery team are also wearing avatars if I remember correctly.

The Copper membership only gives some privileges to wear signature, post time-gap, PM limits, etc. but it does not allow to wear avatar by default.

To wear avatar (except grand-father members years ago), forum members must have Full member rank at least.
