Title: Back from the future
Post by: Rruchi man on July 21, 2021, 01:48:10 PM
If there's an electro magnetic wave that takes the whole world back in time to beginning of Bitcoin invention and other cryptocurrencies. Armed with the knowledge you have now as one who is back from the future, how much Bitcoin would you buy for a start, and what other cryptocurrencies would you invest in?

Which mistakes did you formerly make with bitcoin and cryptocurrency that you will not want repeating itself?

Well, we are all hoping that a time travel machine can be made in our time so that we can go back to the time when Satoshi Nakamoto was still thinking deep on how to make Bitcoin a big reality and maybe try to befriend him so that he would be selling a million Bitcoin to you. Oh well, this would already be in the realm of fantasy because this will never happen. Okay, one can made into a movie and it would be good to watch what can be its ending. I am sure that Nakamoto won't be able to finish the making of Bitcoin if people from the future would be rushing to him inorder to get the freshest Bitcoin ever...straight from the oven.

If ever I can go back in time together with the knowledge I currently have, I think I would be very careful on the things I will do on that time travel. Surely, your actions would affect the future you will have there as things go differently so if you would be too selfish and too greedy, for sure you'll buy plenty of bitcoin which will soon result into a massive change on bitcoin's success over the years. The obvious mistake I made before was ignoring bitcoin's capabilty and potential as I knew it while its value is still not that high like right now. If only I believed and became patient with it, I'm probably sitting on a lot of money right now.

Oh well, if you remember the rise / fall jumps, then it seems like it’s inappropriate to wait, teleport before the jump, buy, then sell immediately, or before the recession (we know when it will be;)

If everyone is going to do this then there's no bitcoin and I don't think that the pattern will be the same after the time travel because the moment they get transported to the early days of bitcoin, these transports will deplete the current supply because they will buy bitcoin as much as they can afford knowing that it will go up in the future.

For me it's never too late to regret what has happened, hoping to be able to go back 1 second seems impossible. Because of what? the rest of the life that is owned right now is really valuable and cannot be exchanged for anything.
Likewise, the remaining bitcoins currently scattered, will be very valuable and cannot be exchanged for any coins. an example where the existence of Bitcoin cannot be repeated a second time, must not be renewed because it will damage the image of the value of Bitcoin.

If we talk about what mistakes were made and don't want to be repeated about those related to cryptocurrencies, it is to sell the Bitcoin that they already have too early. and can't wait to see the price of Bitcoin in its ATH period. that's what most people will complain about Bitcoin (myself included).

but will it come back? not !!!

We will continue to move forward and accompany Bitcoin until we can no longer walk together. in other words we may die someday, but bitcoin needs to be continued by the generation after us.

why not focus on the reality and what is happening now and in the future instead of theorycrafting about something that can not happen (time travel)?
for example i would like to ask what mistakes did you guys made yesterday and are still making today that in a year from now you would be looking back at today and regret it?

There are many of us who actually learned Bitcoin from the beginning but didn't took it seriously and after the first bullrun that's when they see it's been working well. I was working online since 2008 which in the first bullrun of BTC I tend to be interested in but have no money to invest. It was in 2016 that I bought BTC with my own money. If I just knew its going to be this big, I probably bought more than a thousand in 2010.

If there is one event that I wish to happen once again it's the 2017 ICO days and its bullrun.

does this include the effect of watching a movie featuring a time machine? that easily goes to the future or to the past and changes everything to suit our desires.
stop about it all, let's use the time we have to fix every mistake in the past and not repeat it in the future. we are human beings who can learn, making learning experiences so that we can avoid things that make regrets even greater.

I don't think too far back, because there's no point in hoping to come back even though it's very difficult to do.

That sounds like the series "The Flash" where they show that some electro magnetic wave gives powers to the flash.

One thing that even the series Flash shows and is applicable here is that if you change anything in the past then your present will be changed.
So if you go to past and buy more coins than you did then the present would be changed.
May be bitcoin price would have skyrocketed and may be not. May be your coins would be stolen by some hacker or may be not.
It would be a completely different scenario which we can never predict.

If there's an electro magnetic wave that takes the whole world back in time to beginning of Bitcoin invention and other cryptocurrencies...
And if pigs could fly...

Isn't it a little dumb to assume what could happen if the conditions aren't and will never be met? Who would I help if I said that I'd buy a ton of bitcoins if I knew it in 2009? Yes, I would. It wasn't a big deal, you could get hundreds with a few bucks. I'd obviously not expect it to do a +40000%, but I'd have surely acknowledged its significance.

Here's the paradox though, if everyone who knows about bitcoin gets teleported back in time, the supply will quickly go up because everyone is going to buy it and there is definitely someone that will break the laws and cause a paradox which renders the first time travel not real which takes us back to square one which is the present before the time travel.

That's true if it's for everyone probably somethings might be change in the future probably its price but if it's only for one person, let's say me. I think there won't be any effect at all since I don't have that much money to buy a lot of Bitcoin, I'll just probably follow some altcoins that I know that will pump anytime soon probably dogecoin.

going back in time and buying lots of Bitcoins is the dream of everyone who knows Bitcoin today...

my mistake in the past was that I was still unsure about the potential of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin so I didn't invest optimally in Bitcoin, in 2017 to 2018 I always sold the Bitcoin I got but now I regret it because Bitcoin is a long term investment not for daily needs.

My biggest mistake in crypto is that i didn't invest early in bitcoin and crypto, i heard about bitcoin back on 2011 and it stirred my curiosity but as young as i was then i didn't stick with it till the end and i didn't give it that much attention, until i learned  about it 4 years later and how it became a big thing, and i know that i missed my chance to make some huge investments, and that is one the mistakes that i keep thinking what would have been, and since then i stopped having second thoughts about anything.

The biggest mistake for me is to not have bought Bitcoin when it was 300-400 USD in 2014 after it saw the biggest increase in November 2013.However this is plain imagination and is something which is not going to happen in reality but if you are asking what would I have done, the answer is the same for almost everyone here and is to buy as much Bitcoin as I could in 2009 or even better to have been mining it with CPU-s and GPU-s when this was possible back then.

This is literally what I think about. I have tried to beat this idea in many different ways but I am unable to break out of the paradox. You would just have to be quick ;)

If there is such a thing? i'm sur Only one person will owned all the existing Bitcoin and surely will Funds miner to mine bitcoins and that will cause Power adjustment as the electricity in specific country that will be use will affect the whole supply.

I think it is better not to have that chance or the world will surely change badly.

Many people make mistakes with bitcoin and crypto but it is easy to repeat if you have to invest in the situation the correction is the same as in the case of crypto when the power is clear although the world is bad, crypto has no effect. Bitcoin investments are high so investing at the right time is easy to repeat the demand for crypto will double in the future and investors will make a profit.

If there is time travel or electromagnetic as @OP said, I will mine bitcoin with my computer and get bitcoin from the faucet and if the mining process can not use a computer and needs to buy hardware, I will buy bitcoin at the exchanges. I can hold it until the price reaches $64k and sell it for the half amount of bitcoin that I have, while I will use half of the fiat money I got from selling bitcoin to buy more bitcoin at $29k yesterday.

We can imagine what we will do if time turns back to the old time, but unfortunately, we can only dream without having a chance to get there.

I would buy all the bitcoins I could get my hands on, the minimum I would be happy with would be 50,000 bitcoins. Also I would try to befriend Satoshi before he disappears. Tgr main coins I would be buying are BTC, ETH and Doge.

The question is if I can go back in time, can everybody? The price of bitcoin would never be cheap in the past.

I will not take more time than that mate, Instead I will buy Bitcoin in the price of almost zero amount lol.

Why would i need to mine and join faucet when the price of Bitcoin those time are just below penny?  ;D

I think this will be a first come first serve basis mate, because the first person to use that magnetic wave will surely purchase all the bitcoin available that time so the second to come will never benefits anything.

That will make me have the less capacity too. But with the knowledge, I'll buy as much as I can and would ask my parents that we'll be definitely rich by buying it.  :P

My dad always had this theory about time travel and paradoxes that I always found interesting, and when I asked him questions about what if we could go back and change 'x' in the past:

He used to look up at the stars and tell me, see the light from those stars took hundreds, and thousands of years to reach our eyes. What we see in the night sky is not the star of today, it is the star how it looked a hundred (or thousand years ago). That star could be dead today, and no one will see the loss of light for another thousand years.

This is time travel into the past and how it works.  He theorized someone might be able to some day create a sort of 'TV' that let us zoom in and view any event in history on a screen. You can't change the past, but you can see it. In theory you can watch your own foolish mistakes the same way as if you watched yourself do something dumb on an old video recording from 1985.

SO I think - What you know from looking into the past can help you change your present and produce a new future..but you can never go back and 'buy' more crypto in the past..but watching what has happened, and what is happening you can choose to buy it now and change your future, and that is the best way we can think about it.

I will, first of all, find that guy who took bitcoin in return for pizza and would buy bitcoin from him at the price of pizzas. Obviously, when I am certain that the price of this cryptocurrency is going to boom in the coming years I would put every penny into such a coin, after earning good profits in bitcoin till 2016, I'll move to Ether which showed a similar sort of growth as bitcoin and then will obviously move to newer currencies like Cardano, haha, unfortunately, this can't be true. I think if you ask people their mistake in the cryptocurrency world 95% of them would say not entering at the right time is their biggest mistake and perhaps everyone thinks that if they would have entered a couple of years earlier things would have been different.

We will all regret not having entered at the right time, so missed many opportunities to make big profits from cryptocurrencies. So sometimes there
are always people who want to fix all these mistakes by going back in time, which so far has not been possible. If indeed we could go back in time
and fix all the mistakes that happened, it would change history and that's something I couldn't imagine. Because I'm a realistic person, so all I think
about is the future, that's why I always buy Bitcoin regularly, because I don't want to repeat the same mistake.

I was going to buy 5 bitcoins when they were $30 a piece. But I never bought a bitcoin because I couldn't figure out how to do it. I was 17 years old, I didn't know much about it.
