To all helium hotspot miners on here can this miners work in Africa ? I'm really interested and I want to order four pieces of this miners but a friend told me that it's not supported in Africa countries yet, is this true

it's my first time hearing mining is limited to specific regions. according to their website, they only support america right now so i guess your friend is telling the truth. it's probably not because the hardware can't run in africa, but the company decide to limit the users near their area first for various reasons.

Africa isn't supported judging from what I read on their website, I'd say just wait it out probably for some months, the team are very active so more regions will be supported in near future

Helium miner is not supported in my country as well, I just ignored and buy GPU to mine other coins instead maybe in future we will see more countries getting support, helium miner is attractive to me because I'm running on solar panels it's a shame I couldn't get one now

same as me  it looking good project but not supported in my country too.

It's the hotspot infrastructure that lacking in those other regions so far but with time as people buy hotspot devices and set them up across the continents, there will be widespread coverage which will encourage more people to buy the devices.

As of now the US, Europe and some parts of China seem to have a high concentration of hotspots with Africa and South America yet to catch up but I do see some small hotspot dots in the continents as well according to https://explorer.helium.com

It's just a matter of time.

I still don't understand why this miner won't work in every part of the world since the miner requires another miner few miles away to start hashing better reward, there isn't anything huge about this thing I believe
