Title: Looking for ICO 2021
Post by: RILWAN on July 28, 2021, 01:02:16 PM
The year 2021 has witness so many changes and introduction of new development in the cryptocurrency market such as NFT projects, that made me wanting to know if ICO projects are still available, I mean good ICO project that can give 2X profits just like what we hard back in the ICO era of 2017.

I will appreciate if I can see a list of excellent projects running they ICO at the moment you comments are highly welcome.

We are not sure if we could give you a name since we are not sure too if the ICO project will be x2 in the future, I think you can visit the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 for new projects, not quite sure if some of them offer an ICO on their project. It's really hard to look for an ICO this year and expect them to be x2 afterwards.

You can try to visit it through this link https://icodrops.com/

You will get bunch of the icos are still running right now and there will be lots of new upcoming ico that was running on the some launch pad created by the exchange site. You can try to do a deep research to pick one that you think if it's worth to invest on it

currently NFT & defi projects are the ones holding the most bounty campaigns...

you will find it difficult to find a profitable ICO like the year 2017. I think the campaign that is currently running hhampuz, small rabbit or irfan you can make an option to replace the ICO, but still DWYOR.

I think it's very hard to find good quality ICO project nowadays because most projects now are already using the new and trending fundraising methods, and also most of the projects are preferred to run and IEO, or IDO, on any trusted exchange and if there's is a good ICO project I believe it's already rare, unlike in previous years particularly in 2017 were most of the ICO projects are hitting the big mark. Anyway instead of looking at those good ICO projects, why not try to invest in Defi and NFT's?

What's the reason you're looking for an ico project?
Why not choose another investment, which already friends above mentioned.
I'm interested in waiting for your answer about choosing project ico in 2021.
Because I think projects like that are very difficult for us to get in this year.

2x is quite easy for good NFT projects at the current market condition, NFT is becoming hype this year and the price of any NFT projects pumped quite hard. You could checkout Xircus (just click the banner on my signature), it's one of a good NFT new launched project. There are so many good NFT projects this year that you will find it on this forum just go to ann threads

Good projects are idolized on Coinlist, I recommend you to follow and open a membership as soon as possible, but it takes a little luck because it is a lottery method. There are a few platforms that make ico, they want you to invest and stake, you can research these projects. These are starter projects, when you stake, you have a guaranteed allocation right.

ICO projects are still very much available, but if you're looking for the sort of lottery ICO coins that people made money from back in 2017 right now, then I'm afraid it's more or less impossible or difficult to get as you'll prolly lose your funds to shitcoins or pump and dump coins. I mean, looking for projects that'll give ROI as high as 2x ASAP is a get rich attempt, and just like every of such attempt, it'll more often than not end up with the investor losing money. Having said that, you'd still have to DYOR and try and go for coins that are sustainable for the long term, like Bitcoin and Ethereum for example.

Some people were giving very good resources to get the legit icos like icodrop and coinlist. I thought that if icodrop can be considered as the best one because it's not only listing the ico from the coin list but it was also mentioning all of the icos that will be running on the various ido platforms as well. I thought that you can take icodrop as the best source to get the legit ico.

Did ICO drop also have a rating scheme? I must say I quite disliked the ratings from all these ICO rating agencies like ICO bench because they got sloppy over time and more and more scams got the opportunity to get listed on their site. It was all about money in the end and projects that turned out to be outright scams even had good evaluations from time to time.

TBH, age of ICOs are over and currently, market is having IDO (Initital Dex Offering) hype which is getting lower trend as of now, but many users made millions earlier in this year because of IDO hype. Like ICO, many projects become scam one. So DYOR before participating into IDO. OP can check cryptorank for getting information about upcoming IDOs (https://cryptorank.io/upcoming-ico). On the other hand, OP can join any VC for becoming early investor of any projects.

I don't really know which ICO list is more accurate because it's uncertain and always different.
But I always see updates from ICO Analytic's tweets: https://twitter.com/ICO_Analytics which always shows good projects but I don't know how high the ROI got because I never tried to invest in ICOs again.

There has been a lot of news about projects that raised large funds, but I didn't pay close attention because I only saw a few, but all of that must be at risk if you really want to go there as a potential investor.

ICO as a sort of trend or as a sort of public fundraising method is no longer in use, it has been abandoned because of its high fraudulent nature. IEO took over, lasted for a while and now we have IDO which is the most recent one, and because of the trustworthy nature of IEO and IDO, makes them to be used more than ICO, I also think some projects are still carrying out IEO while many new projects carry out IDO.
Nevertheless, upcoming NFT projects seeking for public fundraising can carry out IDO, and considering the nature of the NFT project and the platform conducting the IDO, it can still give a reasonable profit.
You just need to find a good one and check it out, moreover as the trend is getting more interesting, new projects will soon start IDO or IEO as the case may be.
You can also get started by checking most platforms which helps conduct IDO for upcoming projects to see if there is any new NFT project that will be launching soon.

I think the ICO project will continue to exist forever, they are just changing and perfecting it, the 2017 ICO era will repeat itself for now or in the future, it's just a matter of time, they also made a big profit then, there's no way they could waste this opportunity

Now that the pattern has changed, NFT is getting refined with various alternatives, although they are perfect for now and the many options they offer, but people are still waiting for ICO 2017 to bounce back.

I often discuss with friends, my question is what is the biggest hope for the future regarding ICO and NFT, the answer that most people give is the return of ICO 2017 which is the most awaited thing.

am not thinking of taking part in any ICO bounties, what am looking for is a good ICO projects to invest in. I Just want to buy and hold for a period of a year or two.
You can try to follow the the ico site like ico drop or you can also try to take a look at the coin called xircus, the ico will be launching very soon and the team member that has been creating locktrip has become the founder of the xircus this potentially make good ROI like locktrip coins. I think that you can try to consider this but you must try to do a deep research about that dude.
You must be careful with any garbage icos outta here

Since 2017 the market especially in regards to ICO's have changed drastically. Nowadays ICO's that collect an unlimited amount of money like Filecoin for example did back in the day with 200M$+ collected do happen anymore. Today most projects sell most of their coins in private Sales which can usually only be joined if you are a VC or an influencer which can contribute a lot of money. Another way to join such pre-Sales is via private pre-sale groups like Duckdao where you need to hold a certain amount of their tokens to be eligible to join a private telegram group and then you can also join private sales like the VC's can.
Public Sales today are also done via launchpads pretty often nowadays and most of the time the allocation for public sales is very low like 1% of the supply so you need to be really lucky to get a public sale spot for a good project.

Someone above already recommend icodrops, very good site to keep in touch with all upcoming ico's, they even try to rate the project between rated and unrated to make your seach much easier, even with this, it is still very important to do your due diligent on any of the project you find interesting enough,
i notice most of the project are either making sale with one network or another, (example - polkastar, coinlist, dao maker etc) there is hardly any direct ico anymore, and most of this networks always have requirements before you can participate, sometimes exhausting.

You can still refer to those ICO checker sites. They are still constantly updating their list of upcoming ICO's. But if these projects are excellent or not will be based on the results of our research.

Why not just joined the craze of what's trending now?

Hundreds of ICO/IDO projects have come and we don't even know which one will give a bigger ROI but the goal is they want to raise more funds, of course, it's all thanks to them and their marketing, I don't think this will be one of those researches complicated because with their goals they will not necessarily provide opportunities, it all depends on us who judge them.

If we don't have the ability to do that, it's better to avoid it because of the big risk when investing early and why not just what is available on the market, it's much more we can analyze directly compared to tokens that will just appear, still dim.

That's a good source to find the legit ico but it's not so complete as another legit ico list site like icodrop. OP has two choices between CMC or icodrop. I don't even see any other platform that can be considered as legit platform other than this. he can also use cryptorank to get the legit ico as well. Crypto rank was also providing accurate data about the incoming ico. .

ICOs are outdated I'll say. The crypto space grows each and everyday and this year what's really on trend is NFTS
So many projects are coming up with NFTS that looks awesome. Some NFT are so promising that you just jump in and by an art without asking much question. The year is really going great

This is 2021 and still looking for an ICO?
I will prefer to use some IEO or launchpads such as in the top and reputable exchanges. Alternatively, I will prefer to choose the newly NFT Games token release because it is hype now, but because this is a token type that is hype right now, ensure that we are ready with the risks, including learning how to utilize every chance and the right time to buy and sell the coins. Because sometimes, not all NFT games will be also worthy. so, dyor.
Btw, as other members said previously, you need to learn at first about the right project to pick right now, scammers are still around here, looking for the newbies and newcomers that want to invest. They will probably give you big bonuses by joining certain ICOs or other types of crowdfunding. So, be careful.

These rating sites became worse and worse. I think in the beginning they tried to be a valuable resource to the community but over time they actually turned into scam facilitators because they gave visibility for not too much money to projects that intended to scam and could reach a big audience by being displayed on sites like crypto-rating.

Sure there are good ICO/IDO projects.
let me present our project with much prospects and would be launched in the coming days.

KCC LAUNCHPAD

There are lots of opportunities and revenues that are available in the blockchain network. Just as people make lots of profits, some others amass so much losses.
The greater the release of innovative projects/coins, the higher the traffic and the wider the blockchain industry gets which creates more awareness for global adoption of crypto currencies. You must understand that cryptocurrencies have come to stay.
The adoption of cryptocurrencies has led to the increase in the release of more crypto projects with great potentials but these projects lack acceptance, credibility and resources hence the projects fail before arrival. The challenge posing the market has led to the creation of Ido launchpads.
Kucoin Community Chain Launchpad(KCC Launchpad) with its very unique and pioneering system and strategy offers its Launchpad being the third launch pad with cross-chain features on the Kucoin Community Chain.
Our launchpad creates the opportunity for new, potential, innovative and legit projects to be revealed to the public via our marketing set up. Funds will be raised for these projects through the sales of their tokens to the public and increase the trust of their investors.
What is an IDO?
IDO is a short term which means, Initial Dex Offering. This describes a model which projects make efforts to raise funds. This offers a great support for these projects to get enough finances to implement their business plan. Also note that an IDO provides great gain for both the project and the investor.
We at KCC Launch are a community driven IDO launchpad that provides fairness and equality on the Kucoin Community Chain.

Why KCC LAUNCHPAD?
KCC Launchpad is very unique and is the first IDO Launchpad on the Kucoin Community Chain to own its own Decentralized exchange where coin devs can list their tokens for quick swap, users can also make passive income by adding liquidity and earning from fees, Yield farming, staking, lottery and lots more. This extra feature makes our Launchpad to stand out from others. Most Launchpads solely depend on project listing to stay ontop their game else their coins starts delving. Considering our Maximum supply of 15M we can only say our token price will go beyond jupiter.
Our launchpad facilitates the discovery of the latest and upcoming cryptocurrency project for our community(investors) and they in turn invest into the special private sale before it gets introduced to the market. We also help in the provision and locking of liquidity, price and the vesting of tokens to favour both investors and project as it will reduce dumps. We also provide security of investors funds and project tokens. we provide a very transparent system compared to other launchpads because we are community driven and will always hearken to the voice of our community.

HOW DOES OUR MODEL WORK?
The owner or team for new crypto project will apply on our website to be listed. Our team of experts will then have a group and video meeting with proposed team and after a successful verification, Kyc, and confirmation we propose to our community after a vote and give our verdict. Our platform helps verify the authenticity of new to be launched projects and this helps our community make good return on investment.
Users will have guaranteed allocation based on their tier and weighted score level. The number tokens to buy during IDO will be determined by the bag of KCC Launchpad tokens staking in your wallet.
Snapshots will be taken and winners of spot will be announced with the exact value to pay.
Users will have a time limit to make payments and balance will be shared to the community on a First come first serve basis.
Tokens gets released after successful launch/listing on the exchange to our community members who successfully bought tokens during public round.
Our primary goal is to provide safe, transparent and fair IDO.

OUR MISSION
The introduction of the Binance Smart ( BSC) was meant to solve the drawbacks of high fees and congestion associated with the Ether Chain and hence the coming of many launchpads on the BSC. But in recent times, many small but promising projects have been unable to launch on this launchpads due to the many demands/terms set by this established Launchpads on the BSC thus giving rise to many scam launchpads.
The desire to see these anomalies corrected led to the formation of the Kucoin Community Chain Launchpad (KCC Launch) on the Kucoin Community Chain.
We aim to help streamline the process for new and existing project teams looking to make an impact in the DeFi scene, whilst providing exclusive, and secure opportunities for our community.
We create a single, safe destination for both presale investors and prelaunch projects.
Investors benefit from exclusive access to safe, innovative projects and rewarding investments on the Kucoin Community Chain.
Projects benefit from our exclusive partnerships with leading blockchain companies, influencers & providing increased exposure, complimentary audits, better liquidity, and a dedicated community ready to back them.

OUR VISION
To Revolutionize The Defi And Launchpad Scene On The Platform Of Fairness And Integrity.

As far as I know on this forum the projects that still hold an ICO for their funding event till now are masternodes coins. Lately, I have been observed such kinds of projects and most of them are no more give good ROI, there high chance they could be worthless coins just within a year.

In case you have that much interest to invest in a crypto project then might be nice to throw into play-to-earn projects (e.g Synergy of Serra[1] or Guild of Guardians[2]) since these days I thought such kind projects are getting more popular, DWYOR.

Personally I don’t participate in any ICOs. I prefer IDOs and here is why. IDO is much safer as in this case not a project runs this campaign, but a platform where they want to launch such as coinlist.
Talking about good projects that are going to launch soon, it is definitely not their time now. There is a hype around the NFT sphere, so you had better find something from it.

If the project is that good I don't think they are going to use an ICO to launch their project, many investors are shunning ICO to invest because so many scammers even the project that looks good with potential, the end of ICO 2017 are over, because scammers have taken over the ICO and there are so many fake projects in ICO they cannot do this in IEO, because they will be rejected and there are a lot of requirements and you need funds to launch an IEO, something scammers are not keen to do.

Good luck if you're hoping to get some gains with ICO. Not saying that it's impossible but it's highly unlikely that you'll get to see those valuable ICOs around. They've been gone since the scams came in although some projects are still hoping to get a good crowdsale through ICO.
But as you've said, most are into it anymore and chose to get into NFTs. So if you think that you've got a better opportunity with NFTs, why are you still interested in ICO since there's not that much interest in it anymore and it's harder to get into those projects that are likely to reach even their soft cap.

investors now didn't aware any more with ICO project that launched recently, most of them now failed in crowdsale stages. Only really good project with excellent team background will attract new investor especially from ventures. There are alot new scheme of crowdfunding and IDO or IEO still be safest ways to invest new project since dev team didn hold the money. trend now shifted to NFT project which is provide really fun concept , that is play to earn. with some coins or token as starting balance we could use it for playing game and get token. i do agree now investors concern in this project.

currently NFT & defi projects are the ones holding the most bounty campaigns...

you will find it difficult to find a profitable ICO like the year 2017. I think the campaign that is currently running hhampuz, small rabbit or irfan you can make an option to replace the ICO, but still DWYOR.
am not thinking of taking part in any ICO bounties, what am looking for is a good ICO projects to invest in. I Just want to buy and hold for a period of a year or two.
Then why take the high risk by investing in an ICO when you can at least invest in a token that's already on exchanges? A huge risk with ICOs is that you might not receive the tokens you've paid for, or the token might never get listed on an exchange. Then there are financial risks, such as the price dropping dramatically, but by investing in a token that's already traded, you at least eliminate the risk of being outright scammed. If you want fresh projects, just sort the tokens to see those which were recently added (like this (https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/recently_added)). You can then google them and read what the projects are about, but at least you'll know that you'd be able to sell when you want to.

Since this year I haven't heard of any project doing ICO.
ICOs are outdated I'll say. The crypto space grows each and everyday and this year what's really on trend is NFTS
So many projects are coming up with NFTS that looks awesome. Some NFT are so promising that you just jump in and by an art without asking much question. The year is really going great
You may not know that some projects still live by ICO but it's not too famous and they probably won't have a good fundraising period when only a few people can hear about them, those are too small project groups, and one reason as you say is that the market is being filled more and more every day with projects that live on NFT, especially games that make money on that platform. That seems to be the most promising in 2021 but perhaps the initial investment is not small and quite worried about the value when the items there are priced by the player and only have collectible value

Which ICOs have you benefited from this year? try to mention one by one because I didn't find many ICO projects this year,
if any were successful, only in one or two, the rest didn't exist.

There are few of those that can be said to be successful during the crowd sale but unlike before, most of them were into their hard cap and they're hitting those easily. It's very important to look at the situation right now of the ICO market because if you're not that too resourceful, you might spend your money without the ease of researching and might put it into the wrong project. That's why you'll have that moment for yourself to study first the market for you to understand everything that's being popularized by the community and new projects that do come in.

My last signature projects have some offering ion 0.02 and its rising to 0.32 before its have some declined and keep decreased until 0.12. Its still have x6 from the offering, so early investors have a big win from it.
It has some strong points like Flock protocol and Game portal, i think its still have room to growth since the community looks solid while the team are great. Check it out https://birb.co (https://birb.co)
price could maintain well if price still rise x6 from initial presale price.  i see birb have potency to growt more than current , they developt alot product at this moment and also concern with marketing activity to spread around the world.

Many ico lost on demand after its going to market, its create supply higher than demand and resulting dump with low volume in the market, that condition usually makes the project failed to recover.
Last ICO i joined is Ubex, even i receive some bonus while buying it, its still a big loss for me.
UBEX got hype only in early periode when launched , but unfortunately developers team could maintain market interest by developt something and leave it as die project.

I think the ICO era have ended and better with staking coin on BNB and waiting when new launchpad is coming, almost few launchpad coin on Binance always profit and have higher price after listing on the market, last launchpad is c98 coin and worth above $3 but weakness of Binance launchpad you need with bigger fund to get enough launchpad coin there, I see many investor waiting with new launchpad and hold BNB for staking and take few hours only.

ICO indeed lost its magic from the community as most of them ended up bad.
Though there are still projects that are trying to launch their ICO, but I don't think they will be successful if there is no strong backing involved.
In all honesty, it is hard to trust ICO projects as you have no idea if they can really implement their goals.
So if you want to join an ICO project, make sure they have already working platform, because if there's none, you are just hoping that they will stick to their promises.

I think this year is a bit different from the previous year especially when compared to 2017. We can easily find good ICOs but now most good platforms use a whitelist system that not everyone can get easily and we call it IDO not ICO anymore. Coinlist I think is pretty good, maybe you can try to research more deeply

I really want to join binance launchpad, but if we look at the budget for small investors, it's a bit unprofitable because tokens we get are very small. But it doesn't matter for people who only pursue a little profit, sometimes traders actually chase BNB hikes, which hype goes up when the new launchpad is announced.

Don't you want to just join the hype instead of going backwards to projects that have higher risk by now? There are good projects from ICO, no doubt but right now it will be difficult to find those types. Most investors eyes right now are on NFT's and you might want to stay there for a higher chance to make profits in short or long runs. Memecoins are also on the front lines but I don't really recommend that. The chances of being rekt is higher there than going for NFTs. I recommend the gaming industry type of NFTs.

I would say that every niche in the industry has its appeal to investors. NFTs are indeed a hot topic and that is the case for a good reason. Still though there might be some ICOs that need to raise money and do in fact have great plans and the capacity to turn their ideas into reality. I think it is wise to say to have all the sectors under frequent scrutiny. There are so many opportunities in crypto, you just have to put effort into your due diligence and, after all, be a bit lucky. In my opinion luck does always play a role when you put your money to work for you.

To tell you honestly, there is no good at these ICO's nowadays. Please don't waste your time chasing at them as you couldn't find any good ICO in which could fill your expectations as they are done already (last 2017), the next ICO projects are worthless.
Instead of spending your time looking at a promising ICO, it was best if you go directly to the known projects that already have a working product. You are thinking about x2 profit, well, that possible it becomes more than x2.

Yes it's possible to get profit from ICO x2, but these day is not the same like 2017. The price of the token that we bought from ICO won't double instantly when it enters exchange. Investors are smart nowadays, they really want to see the growth of the project before buying it from exchange, so it will need time before the token's price increase, so make sure we really invest in a good ICO project

Actually for now many ICO projects are available and you can survey for yourself which projects you can participate in, but now it is very rare for ICO projects to pay as in 2017 that pay us with satisfactory results, then for now look for ways laen in following the prize project because to seek profit in the crypto world many ways so that we just follow the way it works.
that's true, currently, not many ICO projects are really successful like in 2017.
but we can't compare it to 2017 just like that. because the current projects are also getting good hype.
many projects are quickly listed on the exchange and immediately have fairly high liquidity in a short time. it means that the market's interest is still high for new projects. whether it's from the ICO or other sales systems. because of the IEO itself, I haven't heard much about new IEO projects.

If looking for new tones this year, I will be better choose them in Pancakseswap and then waiting until the new tokens are listed in new exchanges and transfer them. COmmonly it will have a very high pump price in the new exchanges. Moreover about the new game NFT coins or tokens. they have more potential.
But, we must do more analysis before choosing any, because it will be high risks, higher than investing in top coins.

The developers didn't have competence to develop the platform and they keep fooling the investors.

A piece of advice I can give for you is to look into defis and nfts. Beware though, because there will be a lot of projects failing and you should be smart enough to know that you need to do extensive research about an asset you wanna invest youoney into. If it were me though, I would he patient and wait it out for at least a year or two for these type of projects to stabilize and evolve. Just that today would be more profitable. Anyway, the options are there, you decide since it's your money.

In my opinion, currently many projects are doing presale using a whitelist system, because the team can see how many people are interested to investing in the project before presale, usually whitelist system has several regulations and is limited to investors, so not all investors can participate in presale and of course there are still many new projects that are scam, therefore I prefer to invest in projects that already have product and at least top 500 on coinmarketcap, because the project are safer than new project and can provide a big profit too if I choose the right project to invest.

In my opinion, the hype on DeFi and NFT will end soon. Waiting a year or two to find out whether the investment will be successful or not is, in my opinion, too much of a risk. I think right now is not the best time to invest in an ICO. In my opinion, it is better to wait for the price of Bitcoin to stabilize. If the bull run continues, it is better to keep your money in stable coins. On the other hand, if the bear market starts, there is a very high probability that most ICOs will fail.

For what is trending now in the market was nft games that are under by the blockchain technology. Because, most of the community knew there are some of this NFT games became successful and boomed its volume as well to get more partners in this industry and that is Axie Infinity. But for the regular or typical ico campaign I don't have any idea in which of them now are good to invest in but you could try to check it at the bounties section here in the forum.

I have stopped investing in ICO by 2016/2017 itself after losing in few ICOs on-which I had worked for bounty also. But, most of them just ate all my efforts and contributions. Nowadays, I just invest only on bitcoin and few other altcoins like ada and BNB. I guess these days exchange coins are very good opportunity to make good money.

I am just following few other exchange coins like WRX and Kucoin and all of them are looking more promising hence you may risk with them as your assessments. But, never ever go back to ICOs as 99% of them are scam for some reasons.

sprung up are mostly scams. Moreover, I have tried to invest again in ICOs in 2019, which ended up causing me to suffer losses. That's enough
to make me give up on investing in ICOs again, so for now if I have extra money, I prefer investing in popular coins than having to risk investing

ICOs grew in 2017 and were booming at that time, but over time, and the broken system that was carried out by several fraudulent projects in the name of ICOs, these projects took investors' money, the current ICO trend just disappeared, but only a few are still alive.  running ICOs, and some are using current trends, such as NFT, IDO, this trend is being developed for several projects to attract investors, so it is very difficult to find projects that are still implementing ICO in 2021.

I am not active into altcoin announcement board these days hence I am just wondering that ICOs are still in existence? After lots of complaint about failure projects and intentional scams I totally started avoiding ICO contributions otherwise I might have been into bounty participations with my social media accounts. My humble advice to you is, just look for potential projects which are into market for at least 2 years rather than going by all new projects and their ICOs.

When we are investing into reputed projects but relatively new projects then we are getting some 50% assurance than what we do risk 100% in ICOs. Moreover, after leaving off ICOs, I invest only with bitcoins and I am happier with my returns compared what I earned from ICO contribution and bounty participation.

Lots of projects for NFTs are now in the market. Lots of marketplaces and platforms that offers specific advantage over others but with itsmyne they are focusing on licensed sports organisation and personalities. They offer NFT marketplace specifically for sports personalities and enthusiast. They are already in CMC and they have their IDO in Nov. 1 hosted in Cardstarted that is a platform that uses Ada blockchain.

This is what makes the development of a cryptocurrency project difficult to get good project development, because of the many scam ICOs that keep popping up causing investors to be very hesitant to invest in the project, maybe now it's a good idea to participate in the launchpad of binance to get a really safe investment, or we can also follow an IDO if we are sure that the IDO is free from fraud and in my opinion IDO is a safe alternative for us to invest today compared to ICO.

I can understand where you are coming from, NFTs are a bunch of images that have no utility and that at the end of the day are not really yours, so I can understand why you would prefer something more solid that is actually trying to achieve something, but I think the moment of icos is over, the community was all over them in 2017 but after so many scams the community has grown skeptical and as such I do not think there are many projects worth your time coming in the form of icos anymore.

I think it will be very difficult to find new ico projects, especially at the end of 2021, but there are several network links that you need to explore or analyze here, one of which is, polkastar and coinlist, although overall I can not give certainty to get  What do you want.  But at least that's all I can help you with.

In the current market, even many older projects are showing good results, because the market is now moving in a different trend. We have seen in recent times that nft, gaming projects were on the rise in the market which was unexpected. And just a few days later, a new trend of metaverse has come in the market and its effect has been in the market for some time now. So if you can predict when a trend will come in the market, it is possible to get something good from the old project.
