Title: Value bitcointalk brought to me in my work summary of July
Post by: RainbowKun on August 04, 2021, 10:18:51 AM
It has been over a month since I had my first topic Bitcoin is not just a currency, but represents a new human civilization on Bitcointalk on July 1, 2021. During the time, I gave up all other work and devoted almost my full energy to writing. I recorded my fragmented thinking about Bitcoin in the past 4 years with the hope of transforming them into systematic knowledge to gradually beef up my wisdom. Of course, the articles I wrote are not all always correct, maybe dotted with all kinds of problems. I wanna refine them by communication here.

Now, I will summarize my work of July in this forum and see my progress. Based on this summary, I'll talk about the value of bitcointalk to me. These are topics I have started as of July 30. Articles in August are not included here, summary of which will be posted at the end of this month.

I am really happy and have a sense of achievement seeing my performance in this table. Throughout July, I posted 26 articles with 20,126 words, 8,099 views, 929 responses and 90 merits. It is not easy, I put much effort into it. At the same time, I sincerely thank everybody who read and responded to my work. Your participation made my words more lively. I believe these articles are valuable to everyone. Maybe there is no completely correct answer here, but it can inspire everyone to do more independent thinking.

While writing, I also received many kind criticisms and suggestions, among which, a major one is lengthiness affecting the readability. Here, once again, I appreciate your feedback and help, which encouraged me to write more. Later in writing, I'll try to optimize my writing skills and type setting, to render these words logical instead of merely throwing a conclusion.

Up to now, I've got 145 merits, 156 posts and 42 activities. I feel proud of myself. Next, I tend to spend most of my time in the operation of my own project, so such intensive creation might be hard to achieve.

Till today, I have sent 70 merits (I'd love to give out every merit I have). Here, again, I give my thanks to everyone who ever gave me merit, regardless of its number. I felt your affirmation of my articles. The article that got the most merits is about Keynes Plan, Bitcoin and Keynes Plan (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5351477.msg57560295#msg57560295). Although responses are comparatively less, it gained 56 merits overall. Pitifully, many other passages failed to get merit, it's lengthiness to blame and indicates that I still need improvement.

I express my gratitude here to all of you for your encouragement and support:

Also thank many other friends.

I will briefly talk about value of this forum to me in five points as follows( maybe you can share my feelings):

  • 1.Show opinions: each of us can express our views and communicate with like-minded friends here, so that both sides can get improvement. Compared with social media, information on the forum is more effective. Some posts a couples of years ago are still helpful.
  • 2. Ask questions: everyone encounters confusion from time to time. We can post our questions here and someone might help us solve them. Besides, the process of coping with others' questions does good to our knowledge structure as well.
  • 3.Do trading: we have our own unique resources and information, which can be exchanged here to meet others’ needs. Although these transactions are fragmented and peer-to-peer, they allow resources to be fully used.
  • 4. Launch project: bitcointalk is a huge community with user resources of highest quality in crypto world. Good project can embark on the initial community establishment here. I firmly believe these resources can help valuable projects become international.
  • 5.Obtain information: in encrypted world, information is crucial, it means wealth in many occasions. Bitcointalk is a place where information, whether about project or industry, gathers the most. I deem it the most elementary value of the forum to every user.

The above is my most basic feelings during last month, the value the forum gave me and the advantage of this forum over twitter and other social media. That is precisely why there is always a steady stream of new users coming here, supporting the development of the forum. I hope every one can achieve growth here. I really enjoy being a part here. I will continue to create value for the forum.

Great work Op! But my little unpopular advice to you is that you shouldn't let Merits drives you wide it's dangerous to think about ranking up while writing a good article, every good thing comes with a fair price though bad things always happen to good people that being said, I love reading your articles but some are too wordy( too long to read  ;D ) please try and make it simple and brief this is a forum not blog.

Keep up!! my eyes on you!!!!

I congratulate you on such an achievement, but I am inclined to agree with pooya87 that more than half of the text present in your publications is "water". Nothing personal, but if you want to develop, just take note of this, and by the way, I do not remember the verbatim phrase, but this is exactly the case when LoyceV's expression would be most appropriate: “you don’t need to complicate simple things”. Good luck in your endeavors  ;)

That is because you are rambling. Nobody reads big walls of texts with inconsequential content most of which don't have anything to do with the title specially when that title itself doesn't make any sense. [...] all I'm saying is that you could have expressed your thoughts in a much shorter way. All you have said in the past 4 to 6 topics you have created could have been compressed into a single paragraph or two instead.

Hello, Igehhh and Icopress, sincerely thank you for your blessings and suggestions. I am also improving myself through various methods. First of all, the main purpose of my writing here is not for merit. I will stick to writing regardless of whether there is merit or not. I list some merit information here to express my gratitude to some friends for supporting me. Secondly, many friends suggested to me the question of the text wall. I have also been thinking about how to optimize this. One is to streamline the content, and the other is to improve the layout. Third, some friends may think that many of my places are verbose, and many words are useless. In fact, in my opinion, every sentence has its own value. What I record belongs to my philosophical thinking, and I record the process of thinking so that people of different cognitive levels can understand them. Of course, you must be interested in these articles. If you are not interested, you may not be able to read a word. In any case, I will write steadily, continue to output, and strive to improve myself.

Congratulations to RainbowKUN, you have got so many merits in such a short time. This is an amazing achievement.

At the same time, I also look forward to your future articles and your projects that you mentioned many times before.

If the leader of a project can post these topics with the same patience as you, then I think the project should be good too!

Congratulations! !

You can influence some people with your own ideas in such a short period of time. This is very difficult. Although I read most of your articles, I need a lot of thinking to understand the content. There are still some articles that I did not fully understand. Long talk, looking at me tired, but I admire you, because after reading the content, I really don’t know what to comment on, I am worried that the question asked is too simple for you, but please forgive m

Congratulations on getting so many merit!
I have seen many of your posts before. The quality of the posts is very high every day. Although I still don’t understand some of them, some of them can always give me some inspiration.
I know that It’s not easy to make such a work on the forum. I see that OP’s energy has been on the forum this month. This is something other people can’t do. They also said other suggestions. I don’t have any suggestions.
I hope You can get more. There are more and more people like you on the forum. We make progress together!

First of all kudos to your thread creation because normally people create generic thread which simply create generic replies which will lead us to full of spam but you created threads which is actually worth to discuss and make replies, keep your good work but don't forget that you still have a long journey. A friendly advice, explore more boards and create threads if possible to create a good one. :)

I read the content of your thread article, it’s amazing. I spent a lot of time and cervical spine to study the content you said, they are still a bit confusing. It will be more interesting to improve your writing style as they suggest, and I will It's your fan, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Your results depend on your persistence and the height of your own thinking. You published 26 articles in just one month, which is shocking. Most of your content is biased towards thinking things. I hope you later Consider writing more actual cases.

By the way, your project can reveal some in advance ;D ;D ;D

For your own safety, change your mail. Since you have already lit it on the forum. You have a good program, and there will always be people who will try to hack your account.
Just some friendly advice.
And congratulations too. I saw active writers here, but with your activity and thirst, I meet for the first time.

If you are interested, you can also participate in the follow-up. Thanks again.

I haven't heard of a project. Your thoughts are all hot categories now. What kind of combination will it make? Hope to keep in touch with you

Thank you for your recognition and encouragement. I have devoted almost all my time and energy to these articles. In many cases, because of the word wall, many people don’t have the patience to read on, but I think they are still very valuable. I will finish the preliminary philosophical thinking first, and I will write some relatively simple and more open articles in the future.

I am not sure if had read all of your topics but seems you give maximum afford during wring a post. Because most of your posts are too long. It's more important to write a constructive post rather than just make it bigger. We should always try to explain a concept within short words. Doesn't necessarily always need to create too long topics. You should read more rather than writing, so you can learn more and could contribute to the forum. Even you contribute to the forum although you do not create a single post. So everything isn't related to how many posts have you been creating. The matter is how your posts are constructive.

Hi, COOLCRYPTOVATOR, thank you very much for your kind suggestions, and many friends gave me similar suggestions. My articles seem to be very long now, which has become the most basic feature. In fact, with my writing ability, I can easily write a lot of very simple and popular topics, and it can trigger everyone's discussion very well. This is really not a difficult thing for me, and at the same time, it won't take me too much time and energy. However, this is not what I want at this stage. The articles I currently write are more of my philosophical thinking about Bitcoin. In these articles, I will not only propose a conclusion, but also record the process by which I came to this conclusion, record my thinking process, and inspire more people to think independently and in-depth through this process. I believe this is very valuable to many people. I will first complete the in-depth thinking of Bitcoin, and after this stage of the article is finished, I will write some short articles. Thanks again for your suggestions and good luck.

I love reading your articles but some are too wordy( too long to read  ;D ) please try and make it simple and brief this is a forum not blog.

Keep up!! my eyes on you!!!!
I do love them too but there are days that I don't want to read so I hope that OP can probably add some TLDR at the end, not only it helps the lazy ones but it shows that you perfectly understood the topic that you are presenting and it can also help other lazy ones to be interested in reading the whole article if they find the TLDR a bit too short or cliffhanger.

Congratulations! !
Looking forward to new ideas in the future, work hard! !
Hmm....these usernames are very similar in structure; the writing style is very similar; and the odd use of exclamation points makes me really wonder whether these two accounts are under the control of the same person.  I do hope that's not the case, since they're both in the same bounty.  Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?

I hope You can get more.

And these two members not only have a very similar username theme (First name Last name), but they were registered almost exactly one day apart:

They also use inappropriate capitalization of words and have similar writing styles, just based on their posts in this thread.  Maybe I'm just being overly suspicious, but you know what?  I don't think I am.

Up to now, I've got 145 merits, 156 posts, and 42 activities. I feel proud of myself. Next, I tend to spend most of my time in the operation of my project, so such intensive creation might be hard to achieve.
You should be proud of yourself for that, honestly. What you've achieved within this short period is no mean feat. I do not begrudge you the self accolade you gave yourself. Well done. Though you've to make your post as short as midgets could be but well packed with relevant content. Oh boy, I meant having effective way of writing concisely.

But my little unpopular advice to you is that you shouldn't let Merits drives you wide it's dangerous to think about ranking up while writing a good article
Ranking up is a growth thing. It's like humans passing phases of life, so to say. I believe that's why it (different rank levels) has been here once the forum was created, and long before the OP, you or I came in. And now that the forum has placed merit as a condition for it, I don't see why OP won't be in a glee noticing his posts are getting merited. He has many topics under his belt, figuratively speaking, already within a short time and I think that also came with pains of writing and research.

Congratulations to RainbowKun.  You are an inspiration for beginners.  You have enough knowledge about Bitcoin. That's why you have written so many beautiful articles about Bitcoin. You have gained knowledge about Bitcoin over the years which is reflected in these articles. We would have benefited more from your knowledge if we had found you earlier in this forum.
