Title: Free-Spin giveaway campaign is eligible in this forum?
Post by: sujonali1819 on August 04, 2021, 04:46:44 PM
Hi, we all are aware that in games and round section we can not run a altcoins giveaway. And the punishment is little hard.

I want to know on behalf of my client that Could a Company run a Free-Spin giveaway in this forum? Where player will win BTC from that Free-Spin.

I have seen some thread there with free-spin giveaway. But want to be sure again from the mods or you who know about it clearly. Thank you.

I've seen quite a few bitcoin giveaways in the past from gambling sites that seem to have stayed where they were so it's probably fine.

It might be worth looking at if there's a different way you could do it because a bump every few minutes (for example) might drown out anything useful on that board and if it gets too much the mods might react to it. I also can't remember if those posts were in the games and rounds or in micro earnings - one might be better than the other for dealing with bumps.

Here is what admin said,
Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.
Read the bold area, your answer is there. If the giveaway doesn't require any reply and comment on the main thread and payout through Bitcoin then you are allowed to run a giveaway. As usual, users can participate in discussions on the main thread, but it shouldn't be a condition to getting rewards.

What I will advise if you or the client have a social media account like Facebook, is to do the free-spin giveaway there while you link it to a thread or the client ANN on the forum and this is what BestChange does whenever they want to do a giveaway.

That quote is for altcoins, not Bitcoin.

That would be my interpretation of the rules too, including (Bitcoin) free spins.

On Games and Rounds, that's totally acceptable. This thread has been doing it for 8 years:
Also if you think this promotion giveaway is good then come back daily and post on this thread for an additional 0.001 mBTC to your account.

As long as it doesn't encourage spam or intentional posting on the thread like sending PMs or emails, it's fine. In light of efialtis' ban, mprep mentioned that:
If you accepted entries to your giveaway (that doesn't have a requirement to post in one or more threads) via PM or via off-forum means (Google Forms, email, other external websites), yes, that'd be fine.

On a side note, when I was still in that campaign some time ago, I did post there a few times. Never had my balance refilled. Still gets bumps to this day :p

Incentivizing posting in exchange for bitcoins is allowed but restricted to Games and Rounds. The incentive doesn't have to be guaranteed for each and every user (e.g. running a free BTC raffle with only 1 winner is completely fine). As such, I don't see anything wrong rules-wise with giving away free spins at a casino, provided that if you win during a free-spin, you get BTC.
