I have two S17 and two different problems. I get two miners from a friend that hopes that i can fix them. The first one has the following probs i figured out that it is the controller board. On the first one, how did you know that the problem is the control board? Did you test it on another s17 miner? The logs show "set_miner_status: ERROR_POWER_LOST" there is a possibility that this issue should lead to the PSU issue, not the control board. For the second one try to replug all cable from your hash board to the control board do the same on the PSU cable then test it again. If not, try to flash it with the latest firmware from Bitmain(Note it might disable the SSH access). I just do not know how to fix it How did you figure out it was a control board issue? did you try a different control board? if you actually did, and it worked, it could be a different firmware, flash the same firmware on the "bad" control board and it should fix it. Did you directly plug it on the wall outlet or did you use a voltage surge? Your first logs only lead to power supply issues maybe your house is rated with 110v which is why it is stop mining and not giving enough power to the miner. For the 2nd one try to replace PSU if you already did it then there might be grounded inside the miner. Also, test them one by one if it will run and maybe one of the hashboard is defective that causes other hashboard to show 0 ASIC. You could try to contact these two lightfoot (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148567) and wndsnb (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=366233) these are known tech for repairing hardware on ASIC machines. first we have 220v in europe thanks for the idea but i can rule that out for both problems it helped to flash the S17 recovery image, latest version from the Bitmain website https://file12.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/c2c32666-d4ab-49b7-870f-9a31b46074b7/2020/09/27/10/sd_set_default_password_enhanced_0527_S17.zip (https://file12.bitmain.com/shop-product/firmware/c2c32666-d4ab-49b7-870f-9a31b46074b7/2020/09/27/10/sd_set_default_password_enhanced_0527_S17.zip) Prob 1: After flashing reset to factory default, then connect the hashboard solved the more "than 0.5v diff" probs. Then update to latest firmware Prob 2: still exists but one of the 3 hashboards is now recognized while the other two still say 0 Asics found I do not know if this has to do with the flashing it worked afterwards After this I checked the cables cross all boards with all cables but no positive effect, two hashboards won´t detected. All boards have the same product id/pcb so any further ideas? |
