Title: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Post by: Theneogeo on August 12, 2021, 06:04:57 AM I been having issues with mining eth on win10. It works no issues with 8gpu but after that it crashes.... Wont even get started,
It detects all the cards in device manager but I get memory error then BSOD I have reinstalled drivers, set pagefile to 80000mb Installed 16gb ram Updates and everything in win B250 BTC board G3930 8gb Ram 240ssd 1000watt psu 1200 watt hp server ALL pcie risers Using claymore https://www.dropbox.com/s/anl19f5i0vtt9q6/error%202.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/x4ok9flmf1ei9xp/error%201.jpg?dl=0 Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Post by: Skinny48 on August 12, 2021, 11:16:22 AM Of cos, 12 GPUs for mining on windows 10 OS is always a bigger problem, the mobo will have a hard time detecting all the GPUs at once so your best and easiest opt out is going for hive OS or raveOS, you won't have a problem or issues with not been able to use all available pcie slots

Can you provide more info about this mobo? Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Post by: Ceyflix-Rez on August 12, 2021, 12:37:53 PM Are you talking about the ASUS B250 motherboard? I expected that to work with 12gpu even if you are running in windows OS, go into bios and change to "Gen 2" this makes mine worked with 6 GPUs, it's also a Asus motherboard for mining but only 4 GPUs works at first

If it is a software problem, you will see the result immediately. I don't understand why you are doing large farms and trying to mine on Windows. I would buy 2 motherboards for 6 video cards and mine without problems. Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Post by: batsonxl on August 13, 2021, 10:18:47 AM Ok so even in hiveos it is not working. It can be power issue. Can you describe what 1000w psu is it? and all cables are good?

Some GPUs are more power hungry than others so that 1200 watts might not even be enough for all the GPUs That's true, imagine having 5x RTX cards on that 1200watts and mixed with other cards that will surely be a problem.....OP needs to drop full details of the graphic cards you are running on the 1200watts power supply Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? I think it is good now.... Had to mess with settings in OC a bit, it didn't like the popular ones from other people but like I said, seems good now. Thanks for the ideas and help. Post by: Metroid on August 13, 2021, 06:49:32 PM I recommend you to use linux, https://simplemining.net if you want them to work without issues or if you really want windows then need to use 1709 version, that is the best version of windows 10 for mining.

Hive is working so far, with like anywhere from 5-12 stale shares out of 800.. so 1%, pretty average Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10? Post by: cidman on August 15, 2021, 01:47:06 PM i recommend u stay in hiveos or try another mining OS
but the problem u were having was related to page file most likely for 12 gpus in windows u would prolly need close to 100GB of page file i also kinda agree with the one dude about separating i dont like having rigs above 4 GPUs a lot of times now i have noticed a major uptime tick switching some of my problem rigs to 4 gpus i have rigs that run for over a month without restart and without problems Title: Re: Anyone have issues with 12gpu on win10?
