Title: How I wish i knew about Bitcoin before now
Post by: Wakate on August 14, 2021, 09:31:59 PM
How I wish I knew about Bitcoin before now, before my previous discovery about  the existence of Bitcoin and Blockchain interface which seems late to me. If I had known about Bitcoin during it's early stage, I don't think I will be in the same level that I am now. sometimes I do imagine the net worth of people that had stored Bitcoin in there fortfolios since the early stage of Bitcoin existence till now that the price had gone really far from the dip. I will not ague/blame those of us that are just investing in Bitcoin as a late comer and I know that many are still going to concur to Bitcoin existance.and adoption later soon.

With this step I've taken to invest more of my funds in Bitcoin I hope and believe that I'm going to benefit more like the early adopters who believed in Bitcoin. I just hope the market can reset so I can buy more from a good price. How I wish Bitcoin antagonists could understand what they're missing from the internet gold.

Just know that it is never too late, but the gain might not be like the past time, but do not find it surprising to see Bitcoin price getting over $100000 or more. It is a store of value, all-time-high will be attained as more people are getting to understand the big opportunity missed while they do not want to fully miss the opportunity. See more investors, see more price high is all I know, so invest, if the price fall, invest more, the price will rise and reach all-time-high. But, know that if you will have to invest, you will have to be very patient and do not panic when price go downtrend.

A lot of them sold their bitcoins very early, either at the slightest dip or increase in price. There was no crystal ball to know how many h it would grow in value or price history to use as a template. Most people who regret buying early would have probably sold as early too.

I just hope the market can reset so I can buy more from a good price.
In ten years time, it would probably not matter if you bought at $20k or $50k.

How I wish Bitcoin antagonists could understand what they're missing from the internet gold.
The banks and government understand Bitcoin and that's the main reason they are antagonists, as it challenges their control over the global finances.

You're not late mate, if you believe in Bitcoin existence, you can still have a profit when the price goes up.  For example, we're now at the current price of $47k at the crypto market, if you will invest at this moment and wait for how many years or after a year, the price could be double or triple from the price where you have bought, it could be $100k or more than that.  Unfortunately, Bitcoin didn't have promises like this, it all depends on the demand and supply that becomes Bitcoin more expensive in years passed.

Lucky for them but I think most of them that actively monitoring their portfolio have been sold their Bitcoin, IDK if there's someone who holds from the early stage until at this moment.  Reset is impossible to happen, the Bitcoin system has its own protocol that no one could change, the price was based on us, holders.  The more who accumulate it becomes the price fly high.

I bet yea, you'll still not buy. Do you know how many times the market reset in the pasts years yet those who were sad of not buying in early still didn't buy, let me give you some hint as the reset are called corrections yet many still will ignore either due to FUD or in hopes of further corrections instead of seizing that opportunity and getting hold of some cheap Bitcoin.

Few weeks back Bitcoin was trading below $30k after falling more that -50% (after losing half of its trading price), did you buy? I guess you must have been waiting for more drop. Last year Bitcoin fell to trading price below $4k and instead of buying, fud was the order of the day.

Instead of dueling on what you have missed, while not concentrate on what you're likely going to profit from the future by buying Bitcoin now. It's never too late. We're still among the earliest adopters.

How I wish I knew about Bitcoin before...

Many of us have the same wish. I also share your wish. However, I guess we're only wishing this because we already knew the current situation of Bitcoin and how successful it has become. But I still don't think we would acquire a lot of Bitcoin had we known it during its earliest days. It was hard to appreciate this technology during those days when you don't have enough background in cryptography or programming. How many of us actually encountered Bitcoin much earlier and didn't give a damn? Would you be hoarding a lot of Bitcoin back then even when it didn't have a fiat price yet?

Let's be honest here mate, a lot of us here wouldn't stick around with Bitcoin in the early stages simply because there's not much information out there early on, and the community was still small. And yes, I'm guessing that even I wouldn't be interested. It's just easier to stick around right now simply because the community is now huge and we got so much beginner content out there.

Not to mention the high chance of us selling after a huge crash. We know right now that bitcoin can bounce back after a crash simply because it has done it a lot of times already. But back then? Who knows if bitcoin would go back up.

You are regretting today, someone else will regret it after 10 years. And this trend will exist forever. Because even a few months back Bitcoin prices were below $10K, but sadly I didn't accumulate Bitcoin during that time. But now I am wondering if I were accumulated a Bitcoin then I would be a millionaire now in my country. To be honest there is no specific perfect time to enter Bitcoin. You enter now mean it was the perfect time for you. Doesn't necessary to regret that. But before enter your all assets in Bitcoin please research more and more. So you would learn how to avoid loss from Bitcoin.

Well if you stop thinking of bitcoin as a cash cow meant to be invested in only to make you rich and if you stop wishing for the price to go up then you start realizing that it is never too late to adopt bitcoin and start using it. Whether bitcoin is worth $1 or $10 million or whether its price stops rising right here won't make a difference, it still does what it was meant to be used which is to be a decentralized currency.

You are not alone here, there are many like you who feel the same but you should always remember you are still in time. Bitcoin has not yet reached the moon. Keep accumulating more and keep HODLING. There have been many instances where early adopters got frustrated and used all of their Bitcoins. Therefore never go for short term profit and always remain calm and have patience in this field.

What the OP needs to do is to take action so that he doesn't regret what he does about Bitcoin in 10 years. At the moment he seems to be on the right track as he says he is investing more in Bitcoin. All that remains is for him to hold and not sell at the slightest FUD. Many do not realize it, but we are still at the beginning of the S-curve, so in 10 years there will also be people like the OP wishing they had invested in Bitcoin 10 years ago.

He should think more about what is going to happen from now on instead of regretting the things he can no longer change.

Equivalent Network Time (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5331087.0)

People who joined Bitcoin market since 2016 or 2017 should feel how scarcity of Bitcoin now. After every block halving and every 4 year cycle, we should feel Bitcoin becomes more scarcely. The fact is total supply of Bitcoin is finite and we all know it. It's just our feeling about the scarcity of Bitcoin changes after every halving and after every upwards increase of Bitcoin price.

Please read that topic, you will see two big facts:
  • In 2032, 99.2% of Bitcoin supply will be mine
  • Miners will have to spend more time to mine 1 Bitcoin.
11 more years and 3 more halvings until 2032 so you are not too late. Stay positive guys, you are more luckily than people who already knows about Bitcoin in 2032.

We all wish we knew this is what the future had for us ,people would have emptied their bank accounts and sold their houses and all valuable assets just to buy the cheap coins of 2009 and sell them 10 years later when price is on the moon. Unfortunately investments don't work in retrospect or wishful thinking, its a lesson learnt that we need to risk a little if we want the fruits to be sweet.

We cannot go back to the past. We all have the same thoughts and regret about this "I wish I've invested early, I knew bitcoin...." thing.

Just move on and in the next years, people who have just recently know bitcoin will tell the same thing, that.. they wish they knew bitcoin in 2021.

We all asked ourselves this question at some point.
If only I'd known about bitcoin a year ago, or two years ago, or 3 years ago... and so we can continue until the very beginning of bitcoin  :D
This way of thinking is not productive and does not help much.
Ask yourself what if I hadn't heard of bitcoin 3 years ago but just 2 years ago, or maybe this year?
A lot of people are going to be asking themselves the same question in five or 10 years, and they're going to envy you for starting bitcoin long before they did.
Bitcoin has its cycles, ups and downs, and will always be a good time and the right moment to start with bitcoin.
What is much more important than the right moment to enter crypto is a smart and long-term strategy of investing in crypto and a good exit strategy.

Many of us feel late to knew bitcoin and we are regret that we do not seriously find more information about bitcoin.
But we do not have to feel sad because we still have more time to earn bitcoin and take benefit of bitcoin and we are not too late.
Many of us dreamed of backing the old-time to take as many bitcoins as we can and prepare our days to sell it higher at this time.
But it is already happening and we can not turn back to that time but we can do whatever is necessary from now on by keep trying and not give up to have more and more bitcoin.
I am sure we can have that chance and you know what, as long as we can try hard, we will have many bitcoins someday.

I just hope the market can reset so I can buy more from a good price.

If you only think about money and profit from the standpoint that you could have bought 100 BTC for $100, then you are definitely late, like 90% of others who didn’t know that BTC even existed 10 years ago. But such thinking does not lead in the right direction, because it makes no sense to cry for spilled milk but to look to the future.

I've written this before, but be careful what you want, because the market reset you imagine might be the beginning of the end, because if, say, the price falls below $1000, how do you think most people would react to that?

Anything under $100k is cheap, just as it was before with $1000 or $10 000.

Of course this is not financial advice, just my personal opinion.

+1

Honestly, majority of people that are thinking stuff like "I wish I knew about Bitcoin when it was very low" would be scared shitless if BTC drops below $1,000 and would probably thinking about selling what they have instead buying more. I remember last year when BTC was around ~9k and I had to urgently sell some so I asked all of those friends that were pestering me in the late 2017 when price was around then ATH, and none were interested. Naturally, year later when BTC went over 40k same people contacted me again, asking if I am willing to sell some.

When we get into the crypto bubble it's sometimes hard to remember that, in the grand scale of things, we all are still at the beginning of this whole journey. See, BTC is ideal for long-term holding and with crypto moving forward in every cycle, in 10 years looking back on this period will seem like the super early stages. So don't worry, you weren't early, but you sure as hell ain't late.

If I had known about Bitcoin during it's early stage, I don't think I will be in the same level that I am now.
It is people who usually portray Bitcoin as a 'get rich quick network' that think in this direction, cause they are not concerned about the advantage of 'being their own bank', neither are they elated that they have the freedom to control their funds the way they choose to in the network, they seem to only be concerned about how much they prolly would have made if they had invested a long time ago, mind you that knowledge of the Bitcoin network is as well important and necessary even if you're going to make or keep any ROI, quite a lot of people have lost both their funds and their returns as a result of lack of knowledge and the desire to make fast money out of the network. One needs to totally understand everything about the network and as well be ready to invest for the long period, if not they'll more or less make mistakes while investing and will prolly lose their funds to scammers.

Instead of sulking and crying around the corner like this, you might as well DCA and ignore the price for the next five or ten years. That should help when you face crazy volatility such as huge corrections like we've seen in the last years. If you don't want to do it either, maybe you're not suitable for this kind of investment. Just keep in mind, there is low-risk high-return investment is bullshit most of the time.

How are you sure you wouldn't have been among those who sold off as soon as Bitcoin got to $2 like the dude below?

https://i.imgur.com/Q6UsAXU.jpg

A lot of those who bought when Bitcoin was created don't hodl much of what they had till date, except for those who trade to buy back at dips. Again, no one thought Bitcoin would become this important within a decade and so many people didn't keep what they had with care. Remember the dude who bought two pizzas for 10,000btc? You think that if the dude had known that Bitcoin would become this valuable that he would've given away that much for mere pizzas? I don't think so. My advice to you OP is to get the much Bitcoin you can now and don't feel the pain of the current high price. For all we know, Bitcoin could be $100,000 a few weeks from now. No time is too late to buy Bitcoin.

Yeah, it's not just you who wished they knew Bitcoin before, we all are. But just like what the above said they all sold it already because they don't think it would blow up like this. And look at them now, regretting their decision because how would you know if Bitcoin would be this expensive nowadays?

Well, some of them doesn't actually understand the essence of Bitcoin yet that's why they sold it early and who forgot the guy who bought pizza at BTC10,000? Imagine that you are holding that now? What would you do? Of course, if you see the price went up, you probably sold it already.

Well, regrets are normal specially if it is bitcoin related since the difference with the price it has in the beginning compared to what we have right now is from earth to heaven. For sure, those who kept on believing in bitcoin ever since it started are now millionaires and too bad, we're not one of them hence it is not a reason to give up nor savor the pain and regrets. It is still not too late because the value will surely rise even more higher in the next few years. Just keep on investing regardless of your experiences with bitcoin or other crypto and it will surely pay off someday.

Most of the people are saying that where they are regretting that they didn't trust bitcoin or they didn't spent their time studying it.

But it is never too late to invest and get interested to it especially that bitcoin can really change your life.

Don't be so sad and this is the best time to start and grow with it. Bitcoin investment is always possible as long as you can afford it and you are really interested in doing it.

You know now not to be late. The value of Bitcoin is not only the value of Bitcoin is not only the future. Everyone wants to pay attention to Bitcoin before. Why not believe in Bitcoin before? But the time has passed, you can't change anything.
What you can do is to grasp the opportunity. Don't let the opportunity escape.

People behave irrationally (most), and this is, unfortunately, a fact that stems from a misunderstanding of how the crypto market works. Most people aim for short-term profit (fast in - fast out) and therefore want to invest only when the price of a coin rises, which makes some sense if the person knows how to control himself and is not greedy. However, people find it difficult to accept long-term investments, especially when it comes to Bitcoin - because many still believe that it is a kind of Ponzi scheme that can collapse at any moment.

An acquaintance of mine told me 5 years ago that I should not invest in BTC, and he still thinks that today - so when he asks me what the situation is with BTC, I tell him that the thing has failed - which is definitely better than listening to the same stories he repeats for years.

Only thing to do is regret, OP but don't let that get to you. Pretty sure that some of the early adopters are also locked out of their wallets assuming that they are using custodial wallets. No worries about hoping the market will be back in a good price, since it happens all the time, OP. :)

I kind of have the same "wish" as you, but what is the point of it if you can't do anything about it anyway? :)
Don't overthink into something that you don't have control at.

I already knew about Bitcoin and I just ignore this coin because first I don't have any money and second is I don't have any knowledge regarding this coin it's too hard to invest if you don't have both of that. After I take some time to research about the possible use and help of bitcoin I tried to make an investment I tried to make a trade and all those stuff just to know more and now I keep myself knowledgeable not only in bitcoin and other coins as for now I trust already the bitcoin as long term investment but again I still keep an eye on the possible trends on the bitcoin. I'm not too late to enjoy the perks of having bitcoin and learn about it

Its a matter of perspective and as @Lucius says anything under $100,000 is cheap.

Buying today is still within the "early adopters" stage. Most people who are entering today
will in the future ask themselves "Why didnt I get more?" just like I ask myself that same
question....

I got into Bitcoin when it was valued at $1000.

In the future todays price will look like a bargain.

I am on the same boat but always remember this: the best time to invest on BTC is the time when you found about its existence! That is why, as much as you regret not knowing BTC before hand, the fact that you know about its existence now puts you on a position above others who still has no clue about it.

Just to share, my regret with knowing BTC early was that I should have kept my remaining BTCs and invested it for long term. Unfortunately, some of the campaign proceeds that I earned were spent for my books back in college. If I could have at least kept them, I would have earned around $20,000 right now- and that money could have paid my brother's education.

Lol,,, @OP. I can I.agine a lot of users or persons feel this way too, even i inclusive. How I wish I knew of it in 2009 and had the insight of its potentials. This is where, you can actually distinguish investors form every day persons.
There are those who knew and just didn't dig in, there are those who didn't have the fund or felt it wasn't worth it and there were those who lived the idea and went in with both hands. These are the once that are smiling today, the once that were able to hodl actually.

There would always be regrets but, you can be rest assured, its not too late. Bitcoin is still on the rise hence, owning what ever fragment now, its still a good investment if you like.

There is a saying in my village that goes - what ever time of the day a man wakes from sleep, that's his morning, you @op, doesn't have to blame yourself for anything, there is a time for everything, if you wish you knew about bitcoin in the early days, and think by this you would be rich by now, what about those who knew about bitcoin in the early days and still poor today due to maybe not taking advantage of it or maybe other reasons which some might not be their fault?
Personally, I confess I was here when bitcoin was still around $250, $300 usd and Ethereum was around $3 $5 usd, I invested in this quite alright, but then, I sold all too early...
So now, ask yourself this question, if you were here really early as you wish, and for example, bought bitcoin at the rate of $5 or $10 usd each, would you still be holding them by now?

I believe that no time someone notice about bitcoin is late, because bitcoin is something that is global and influential and even know as continuous process digital currency, really even now you know about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin you can as well do more better than those once that started some years back, so no hope or time is useless, going into trading is base on capital, because if you are not financial buoyant enough you can't adventure into trading because of it's lost, so now that you have known cryptocurrency more especially bitcoin you equally make the same amount of cash you're emphasising or capitalizing on.

The kind of passive income people that bought bitcoin long ago generated can turn poor person to a very wealthy person, even a computer can mine 50 bitcoin when bitcoin just started, I heard about this forum freely distributing bitcoin to users which can not happen again now, I heard about faucets that pay 1 bitcoin for just visit the site and claim the bitcoin, it was like no opportunity in those days, but people that took advantage of the period are now rich. What I do not like is that I know about bitcoin late, but you are still not wrong because no time is late if someone want to be positive and think in a way that will help him. I found information about bitcoin and blockchain back in 2017 and was amazed at the fluctuation of the price. I imagine if I know about this before that, at the most beginning of its made for example, will I keep it as my treasure or like some people who threw bitcoin to pay pizzas. I think it won't be that amazing that 1 bitcoin-only valued pennies, and I'll pass it because I'm not tech-savvy. Honestly, at first, I was interested in Bitcoin just because of how the price can rise up hundreds percent in one night. So I won't see the potential when it's first coming up. Such a shame, but  I'm grateful enough to know about Bitcoin thou'.

Forget the past. If you buy regularly from now on, you can hold it for more than 5 years, and you are already more successful than 80% of the people in the forum.

Doing that needs patience as you can't just buy and hold it for at least 5 years. I know about bitcoin on 2018 which not a great year for me to start as I was not what I am right now. Because of the forum it  made me achieve what I have now. If not for those who help me like CryptopreneurBrainboss, DdmrDdmr and many more to mention, I wouldn't have been able to hold some bitcoin until now. No one could predicted the outcome of bitcoin's price. I didn't even expect that bitcoin would reach above 60k when years earlier I have bitcoin worth 2000 dollars that time and the current price that time is at 3k. I already know bitcoin that time but I didn't get the chance to store bitcoin. I can totally relate to op how he feels but different situation.

It is hard to imagine what would you have done if you knew about Bitcoin before.

I bought my first Bitcoin in 2013 but it was something very unknown and volatile (and I had zero money to invest) so I didn't got into it, and only came back some years after. Since then I can't regret: I have learnt a lot, earned some money, and many interesting people like the quoted DdmrDdmr  ;)

Well it's indeed painful for not knowing the value and important of Bitcoin for the past times, but it's still never late. The entire world is considering digital currency as it might substitute paper currency in the next generation. So Bitcoin is still on the peak and knowing bitcoin even at this stage is still not bad because market sleep at times. Continuous to gain more knowledge and learning about bitcoin will still help in future because I strongly have belive in bitcoin and investing in bitcoin is never late because huge success await us.

Knowing that Bitcoin is never too late to invest in Bitcoin.
There are still many places that don’t know Bitcoin.
But I still regret that I didn't study it when I first heard about Bitcoin, and then I thought of studying it when I saw my friend made money.
It is too late to learn about Bitcoin now, and learn to invest.
The value of Bitcoin in the future is unlimited.

Ten years ago, my little brother asked me to buy a computer to mine Bitcoin. He was only 16 years old at the time. I checked on the Internet what Bitcoin was, and I said it was a scam, so I refused my brother's request.
I regret that I didn't buy Bitcoin until this year. Therefore, it is not good for me to know it early.

He said that he bought btc this year already. It is never too late in this market. We have no idea how much it will fetch in the market in the future. But remember the risks involved in this market, so better spend funds that you can really afford to lose. The market is not yet ending so there's still hope for the future. And for those who will not buy today, more or less, they will regret in the future that they haven't bought today. Just a cycle of life.

Don't despair OP there's still plenty of upside for Bitcoin, just formulate a strategy and stick to it and the gains will follow. I too regret not getting involved earlier (as I'm sure many here do) and also regret not investing more aggressively when I did eventually discover this Godsend to humanity. Even many early advocates liquidated their holdings long before BTC reached it's highest highs; hat off to those fortunate few who have been hodling since the beginning, truly they must have balls of steel.

Anyway now that you realize how special this gift is please continue to support it in whichever way you can; it is incumbent upon all of us to do our part to spread the word and strengthen the network. The potential benefits of doing so for society are truly profound and you'll more than likely profit personally in the process as well

Carry on OP, best of luck

It's not too late to know now.
If you know Bitcoin for eight years, would you buy it? Will it invest?
I have known Bitcoin for a long time. At that time, I didn't understand Bitcoin, and there were some negative news that made me afraid of Bitcoin.
After learning about Bitcoin, I discovered a new world. I regret why I didn't understand at the time.
Now I will often introduce Bitcoin to my friends. I don't want more people to miss Bitcoin.

This isn't the first time that I discovered this website but somehow I wasn't attracted by this coin and was always thinking that it's price was just a huge, big hype that would quickly end but seems it has no end because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies along with blockchain technologies, DeFi and other projects are just a revolution in this world.

Life is full of opportunities and serves the better ones based on individual effontery, it's a matter of time and chance, if it's your luck then it will work out for you, also think in the other way round, if you had invested a long time ago and wasted lots of resources to fruitless efforts, how would you feel by now? There's still more opportunities btc offers in crypto if you get it right, but don't be overzealous or greedy else you fall in the hands of scammers, as at now, people are still making it well in btc either by investing or trading while yet, some lament for great mistakes.

Of course, everyone caught themselves thinking that they would go into the past five years ago and invest their whole cutlet in bitcoins, but these are just dreams that will never come true, you need to live in today and invest here and now. only in bitcoin.

Exactly, holding Bitcoin for a long period of time has really helped people and it will continue helping people who really wants to be financially free.
I wish I knew about Bitcoin since, because I know by now,I am not suppose to be in this level,I know I would have been holding some reasonable coins by now and my financial level would have been two times better than the way it is right now.

For people that had knowledge about Bitcoin earlier, they have grown to a stage that they are now financially free.I joined Bitcointalk last year, and from then till now,so many things have changed about me.

Just for your information, even those who came earlier did not store much. But later in 2017 when BTC touched $21k, everyone's eyes were on Bitcoin including all medias. This ATH brought in more investors into crypto and yes many started storing BTC as much as they can. But, none were very sure that BTC would hit $60k. This ATH has proofed everyone. Those who know much about BITCOIN are now much confident enough to invest and ready to hold. I am one among like you invest more on it.

Thank you for your words. Yes, the Bitcoin market is pretty big at the moment, but at least we can afford satoshis. There is no sense to reset the market or to go back in time to buy more at a good price. A lower Bitcoin price is appealing to most of us, however. With over four years in this game, I have witnessed two real bull cycles! At that point in time, I was a noob. I have made mistakes before. I would go back and fix those mistakes if I could. The lessons I've learned have motivated me to develop my skills and you can see that in my progress.

Everybody has their own chance and moment to dos something. And when you have knowledge about this right now, have been learning what is Bitcoin, having known what is the risk and also profits that will be got from Bitcoin, and you have been ready, you can start from now.
But, if you are still only thinking about getting much money from Bitcoin shortly, I think you need to prepare yourself again.

Everybody will have their own chance to take the chance. You have your own time to let you be in this moment and occasion.
So, decide by yourself whether you want to enter this world to Bitcoin or not. Don't let you later regret it because it has invested in Bitcoin

Most people that didn't invest in bitcoin in the early stage when the price was still low compared to now are blaming there selfs and the once that sold there bitcoin early are blaming there self but what I believe is that even if you invest now is still very low because I believe bitcoin price is still low so this is another opportunity for people that didn't invest early to invest now because in the next few months we won't see bitcoin at this price again. So don't lose this opportunity again so that you won't endup regreting in the future why you didn't invest in bitcoin now.

Many people regret that they did not learn about Bitcoin earlier, and regret that they did not participate in Bitcoin investment from the beginning. But I think it is never too late to invest in Bitcoin. Some people may have learned about Bitcoin very early, and they may be afraid of this unknown new thing and its negative impact and will not invest.
As long as you believe in Bitcoin and hold it for a long time, you can get high profits when the price rises. Moreover, Bitcoin is still in an upward trend and there is still a lot of room for growth, and there is more time to invest in it to make a profit.

All i can say is that no time is late. Now or later. you can still invest in altcoins. there are tons of good altcoins out there. the end point is financial freedom and people are making a hell of money from this tings. it is not a simple mathematics rather it is a process. when you follow gradually, you will gain massively. learn how it works and put it in practise. you will be surprise on what you will achieve. trading, investing in IDOs, IEOs, pools and so many others.

If only I knew Bitcoin during the early 2010's, I would have never got into network marketing which failed me for years. But back then, I was just a low income earner and I have no knowledge about Bitcoin. I was only introduced to Bitcoin sometime in 2014 where I just created my account here on Bitcointalk, a Coins PH account, etc. After that I ignored Bitcoin until in mid-2017 where it hype-boomed due to ICOs.

Yes I have the same feeling if I knew about Bitcoin back then, I could have bought a lot despite my low income earnings back them.

Bitcoin was very cheap before 2013 or even before 2017 bull run. I think it is not about low income but mainly because you did not believe in Bitcoin back in the years.

I did not remember when but I read news about Mt.Gox but I did not pay attention to it because Bitcoin was mentioned as virtual currency in the past. Till now, I did not like that that term, virtual, it will be used as barriers to prevent more people to join the Bitcoin and crypto market.

I regret that I did not spend more time to discover what is Bitcoin when I read news about Mt.Gox hack.

You know that bitcoin when it first introduce, there was a lot of false information or propaganda  in which people which used it to tarnish the images of bitcoin, Even that time you will be afraid of it because of the information of it was not friendly, it's based on many people has adventure into it and make sustainable profit that is the reason while some is considering the fact that they came in into bitcoin at wrong time, no time you come bitcoin is waste because the values is not constant.

Its a good thing to have known about Bitcoin earlier from now as this would have given you greater heights,
However, its not late right now and there is no regret as Bitcoin is moving rapidly fast and gaining more popularity,
this means that you can still get all that Bitcoin has to offer as long as you keep moving and getting the required,
and relevant knowledge and you will have a "BooM" of Bitcoin which you needed to get.

Think of it that when today the price of bitcoin is on $40k-$50k and then after a couple of years, it's already $100k+ then by that time, the same regret shall come to those that didn't buy today.

Don't based your investment on others opinion as they'll always given advice that favours them. I'll have to agree with those speculation as this is Bitcoin and not altcoins that can easily be manipulated by the developer by performing insider trading or dumping their tokens on the market. Invest because you dine research and you're convince;f the choices you're about to make.

Apart from this every other thing you said is accurate, we might have missed the first train, no hard feelings there since we weren't not informed but if you stay ignorant and also misses the second train then you should know you're the problem.

I'll recommend you just keep your capital intact and wait on the market to present an opportunity as it always does, who knows we might even see Bitcoin trading below $10,000 again. Just be prepared so when that opportunity comes, it must not be that low but any price you feel comfortable buying at, you up on the train.

With Bitcointalk, I realized how much I don't know about Bitcoin, and wanting to read more and more stories of people in different parts of the world getting into the space. I could certainly see myself getting into it, and seeing how far it could go. So I invested in it. I want to be part of the Blockchain revolution. A big part of what motivated me to get involved with Bitcoin was the way it allowed others in the developing world to take charge of their own finances, and remove middlemen like credit card companies from the process. This meant allowing them to move money in and out of the country without having to worry about bank fees or devaluing their money due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Why is it that most folks who missed investing in the early bitcoin days are still stuck in the past, filled with regrets of what they should have done and how much they would have made if they had gotten in on time? Why is it that they compare themselves with early bitcoin adopters too? Choosing to invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not a popularity contest. I always advise newbies, determine your object, get in with a strategy and tactics, DYOR, learn from the mistakes of others, join a great a community of like minds and mind your own business and you will be fine.

It's not too late considering the price of bitcoin now, we are still at the early stage of it and should take advantage of the cúrrent price due to the fact that Bitcoin will surge to $100k 2- 3 years from now, getting it at $49k is a bargain, I had mine 2018 and I'm still hodling it I could not purchase the whole coin but I have a good fraction of it I'm trying to add up few altcoins too

So do i, but i think it is not too late. Lets not regret for what is in the past and focus on the present and future. Many became millionaires because they take risks and invest early on it. Good things will come if we will believe it.

Stop wishing and start being thankful and commit to be active with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Pride yourself with gaining knowledge and information so that you can put yourself in a better position to win within the cryptocurrency stage. It may be true that you are a bit of latecomer to bitcoin although they say "It's better late than never", but there are still ample opportunities with altcoins and others, just try to be at the forefront of information.

Sounds pretty disappointing to you, but luckily you still get a chance to get to know him even if you feel like it's too late. In my opinion, it is never too late to get to know bitcoin even though the price is already quite high compared to the early years of its launch. You don't have to regret it, but take every opportunity you have right now and try to earn bitcoins and keep it long term as an investment in the future. I believe bitcoin will be more valuable in the future, you can see the history of its growth year by year.

Quite common that we all had our regret in not being able to put some of our $$$ in Bitcoin back in those years. It just links up that to what made us got into here first. I had moved on from my regret that I didn't cleared my misconception about what Bitcoin is. I thought back then that it was a currency used by criminals only, because they were widely used in dark web.

It is truly amazing, it is a blessing and so easy to use. Many people see Bitcoin as a investment, but to me Bitcoin is much more than that. To me Bitcoin is also an avenue to promote financial inclusion and to spread financial literacy.

Many people don't know about Bitcoin but it is an alternative payment method to all other forms of payment. We can all use Bitcoin to make payments for goods and services. With Bitcoin one doesn't have to worry about dealing with third party banks, government or brokers in exchanging one currency for another.

Most of us regrets not joining bitcoin at its early stages but honestly there is nothing you can do with it. Regretting won't change anything. The best thing that you should do is to focus on what you have now. Complaining is a waste of energy. Save you're energy for anything else that's worth it like cryptocurriences.

It is never too late for you. Bitcoin had a lot of opportunities offered, so you just need to be hardworking and have patience in order for you to be successful in the future.

I  know Bitcoin in 2015, and I was quite lucky and happy because with bitcoin helped my finances.
I think when you get to know bitcoin it doesn't matter. It depends on how you take advantage of that opportunity. I think a lot of people are familiar with old bitcoins but they are not good at management so they don't have much BTC. I think you are sad because today you see the value is very expensive. That's natural in the minds of many people. Now I think you just try to multiply it.

it's never too late, if we believe in bitcoin and can manage it well then it will still be profitable. I have also thought like that where if I joined first I would definitely get profitable results. but it is not to blame and can not be equated with each other in starting something. the most important thing is how to handle our own assets well and make a profit. it's not a matter of whether or not we join the crypto world first but how do we handle our minds so that the assets keep spinning and get big profits.

Same thing happened here as well. I was introduced in 2016. I focused on earning Bitcoin for my expenses. But never thought of accumulating as much as I can. When BTC hit its first ever ATH in 2017 April, many started to turn towards crypto currencies. My situation did not allow to save more bitcoins. But I started to invest more on either Bitcoin or other best crypto currencies to trade. I focused on day trading, so lost much, but now into long term trading. So likewise others, I am one among who desires to invest more on Bitcoin when its price is low.

We all wish we've known Bitcoin back in 2012 I even read one thread here that if he had a time machine he'll go back to the time bitcoin was launched, we all wishing to have bought Bitcoin when it was very cheap, I don't know when did you discover Bitcoin but Bitcoin has gone over 800% dip on its current price now it even went  $5,142.99 two years ago so you don't have to go in its earliest stage if you just believe and a strong believer of Bitcoin on its huge crisis times you would have made over 800%.
We are not yet late Bitcoin has a huge potential because of its limited supply as long as the adoption is in progress.

Many people felt his way and many people regret why don't invest in Bitcoin when it was in 2018-2019.
But that is not the point right now.
The point right now is that if we have understood about crypto, and if we have realized that crypto is worthy enough and we are ready with all risks, we can invest right now. STarting investment in Bitcoin may be risky, But it si also promising.
SO, never only think about the regret but we must think about what we will do next after this. Will we only stay here and silent watching other people enjoying their profits?
Or will we be involved in crypto starting from now?
That is your own choice based on your consideration and analysis.

We can notice Bitcoin early but we will not utilize it, the more we Join Bitcoin the more we experience it and also practice it, if someone that don't know the detriment of crypto currency and join today, that doesn't mean he will not make it, knowing things early can results out for good and also results bad, what's matters is utility.

Everyone thinks when they come into contact with Bitcoin, why didn't I get in touch with Bitcoin earlier. In fact, for the vast majority of people, the first time they learn about Bitcoin, they regard it as a pyramid scheme or a scam. Personally, I first heard of Bitcoin in 2015, but I didn't even know what decentralization was at that time. To this day, I have not regretted that I missed the huge gains in Bitcoin. I am proud that I can learn the ideas related to Bitcoin.

it is never too late for someone to start bitcoin. there are only 2 options to start it or just be a spectator for people who are already successful with bitcoin or other crypto. we live in this era of sophisticated technology and of course the development of bitcoin has touched all generations so many people are also starting to get to know bitcoin. The most important thing right now is to focus on managing crypto assets that are owned now so that they can be profitable in the future. Don't be easily influenced by this volatile crypto market and learn to be able to control your emotions so you can be more patient in handling our crypto assets.

Alot of newcomers into bitcoin think it was easy from the beginning buying and selling the way it is today, but that is not so. Those days alot was not known about how to get bitcoin and from what exchanges and how to go about exchanging it. Most of the people who say they regret not buying early will still regret it some years from now again too as I do not see most of this people buy bitcoin now. No time is too late to buy bitcoin. Opportunities are there to buy bitcoin at any time but people do not always recognise this opportunities.

Well, possible that it will repeat again and again, people will regret it because they don't believe in bitcoin, they don't know that bitcoin has a fixed supply that could be time to time there will be no bitcoin to mine in the future and that the price will become too much expensive. Lucky for those who are early believers and have accumulated bitcoin and I think for sure they never sell their bitcoin until now. But that is right --the opportunity was still there and there is no late if you really want to. Bitcoin is still immature and young there could be more potential the price will increase too much.

This is not the time to complain about how late you get to know Bitcoin. The good news is "you're among the adopters of Bitcoin''. Now you have got to know about Bitcoin, it's now left for you to tell your friends and families to make use of the opportunity to invest(spare money) than complaining tomorrow about how they miss the opportunity of not investing when they should.

You're welcome to the system, but they should be no room whatsoever for regrets....

You should even be more grateful that you finally found the light, so you should consider now the best time for you by reading and making research about the system and how it operates, this way you'll be steps ahead of persons who haven't decided on investing on it.......

Also try to win the hearts of your friends and loved once so they too don't face the regret process when you eventually start hitting it big.

Apparently, most persons feel this way and so, they keep wishing they had known earlier. Funny enough, there are a lot of other persons who knew but failed to dive in. Why? They never thought for one second that it could worth anything or would have any break of day about it. As such, they sadly failed to invest and still stood in the shades watching bitcoin rise. Even now, I can tell you that, majority of the world's populace are still on the sidelines watching bitcoin rise and still don't own the least sat.
It's the way it is @OP, there would always be regrets becusaes, a lot of persons aren't investors and as such, don't have the insight. What makes you think you would have been any different @OP!

Maybe it was regretting not knowing this earlier but at least we are not hopeless as we are still able to participate and join the community unlike the others especially those people who come from China and those places where Bitcoin is banned. And we are lucky enough to have this opportunity.

If that possible that we can turn back to the time when Bitcoin was just created and become available in the market, I believe many had that crazy time buying Bitcoin. But if that going to happen, I don't know if this gonna be interesting.
