Title: [SCAM ALERT] Fake Innosilicon store innosilicon.us.com
Post by: scbss on August 25, 2021, 07:11:42 AM
innosilicon.us.com website uses the same logo and design as the original https://www.innosilicon.com/ website, so that it looks similar and credible to scam people. In the scam website, they sell miners at very low prices (impossible prices), which obviously don't exist. They are also advertising the website through Google Ads, to attract more "customers" and scam as many people as possible. The original website is https://www.innosilicon.com/, while innosilicon.us.com is a scam website.
You can report it to Google as a phishing website, so maybe they ban it from ads and search pages: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

Report the domain to Namecheap as a phishing website:

  • Submit a ticket (https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit)
    • Abuse Reports
      • Fraud / Phishing

innosilicon.us.com website uses the same logo and design as the original https://www.innosilicon.com/ website, so that it looks similar and credible to scam people.
Always remember to archive websites [some of them frequently visit this board to cover their tracks]:

  • Fake: innosilicon.us.com (https://innosilicon.us.com/) [archived (https://archive.fo/xUdpV)]
  • Original: innosilicon.com (https://www.innosilicon.com/) [archived (https://archive.fo/hT2eY)]

The following information might come in handy when you're reporting them:
  • In their "about us (https://innosilicon.us.com/about-us/) [archived (https://archive.fo/mpaPc#selection-2231.0-2231.15)]" page, it says "Founded in 2006 (https://archive.fo/mpaPc#selection-2231.0-2231.15)" and at the bottom of the page, it says "2006-2021 (https://archive.fo/mpaPc#selection-4247.12-4247.21)", but they registered their website in 2021:

  • Despite not having a review prior to their creation date, it's quite obvious that all of their reviews are fake [most of them were posted in intervals]:

    e.g. Innosilicon A11 Pro 8GB Ethereum miner (2000 MH/s) (https://innosilicon.us.com/product/innosilicon-a11-pro-8gb-ethereum-miner-2000-mh-s/#tab-reviews) [archived (http://web.archive.org/web/20210825165510/https://innosilicon.us.com/product/innosilicon-a11-pro-8gb-ethereum-miner-2000-mh-s/)]
    • July 28, 2021 = 10 reviews
    • July 18, 2021 = 15 reviews
    • July 6, 2021 = 3 reviews
    • July 3, 2021 = 16 reviews
    • June 25, 2021 = 10 reviews
    • June 21, 2021 = 20 reviews
    • May 22, 2021 = 10 reviews
    • May 21, 2021 = 11 reviews
    • May 20, 2021 = 10 reviews

Great catch!

On the home page, under their big main banner there are three others - please take a close look at them :D

And also look above their future products - there are two other banners :D

These guys didn't even make the home page right :D

Yes they forgot to remove the template banners, which have nothing to do with miners. However, the website is still active, and often appears in google ads. And for many miners the website appears on the first pages of results. This is not good for a phishing website that uses Innosilicon brand name.
It seems that google cares little ..
However report it as a phishing website to google, maybe they will take action: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

They're not the only ones that don't care... Cough [its registrar]... Cough [Namecheap].

It'd be better to target the source [its registrar] first, prior to their ad on Google [their website remains, even if their ad is gone].
- Despite NameCheap ignoring most of my recent reports, you should also report it to them [perhaps the way I report stuff, isn't that clear]:

  • Submit a ticket (https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit)
    • Abuse Reports
      • Fraud / Phishing

I reported the website to Namecheap, but they didn't take any action and didn't even respond by updating me on the status of ticket. Is it possible that they do nothing for a phishing website hosted by them? We continue to report, maybe they will take action ...

Unfortunately, yes! That's been the norm for the past few months [on average, they respond to two or three of my reports, out of ten], and since that's the only option to take that website down, then we've got no other choice but to hope they would do something.

We continue to report, maybe they will take action ...
It's great to see multiple users reporting it, but I wouldn't recommend a single user to submit repetitive reports [it'd probably annoy them].

Unfortunately I don't understand why the website is still online. A website (scam and phishing) that uses the name and logo of the original website innosilicom.com , is still active. Report it to Namecheap, maybe they will react.
