The cost of TVL in the Ethereum solution L2 Arbitrum increased by more than 3263% over the week and reached a record $2.2 billion.

The price of NYAN on September 12 rose to $7.8 now it is trading around $1.4

On September 15, a 45-minute failure occurred in the work of the Ethereum solution of the second level of Arbitrum due to an error in the Sequencer contract. During this time, the network did not process transactions. The developers reassured users that their funds are safe. https://medium.com/offchainlabs/arbitrum-one-outage-report-d365b24d49c

another reason why to go with Arbitrum is the possibility of an airdrop to their users, we've seen airdrops like that this last few years, it is a good interface and even though i think that optimism is a bit better, I am using Arbitru and it is because of the possible airdrop and the small differences between the two of them.

As far as I understand, the Arbitrum network does not have a native coin, so it looks like an L2 scaling technology for Ethereum. Its main advantage is that the Uniswap decentralized exchange supports this solution, so traders can use different farming and harvesting protocols and pay low transaction fees. On the other hand, the downside is that people cannot invest in Arbitrum as a promising cryptocurrency.

Polygon seems to me the better solution for scaling and acting as a bridge, although I admit that in general, PoS networks are too centralized. In fact, Polygon has a native coin, so I want to buy some MATIC as a middle-term investment.

Increasing Min Gas Price to 30Gwei

Even now, asset transfers on the Polygon network are very cheap.

The problem is always a high "gwei", this is the reason for the emergence of new ones besides being economical, plus the network is fast, and easy, once they have this trust it will repeat itself, by increasing the gwei slowly.

Aurora sidechain is a better alternative. It is 100% trustless and compatible with Ethereum. It uses ETH natively to pay for gas and DApps work on Aurora without modification. Aurora uses sharding, which means it can theoretically process infinite TPS. There is no long withdrawal time for Aurora like most L2s. Transactions on Aurora are less than a penny, that's cheaper than L2s.

Personally I switched to layers 2 and alternative chains long time ago as Ethereum's transaction fees are unbearable. Arbitrum and Optimism are  Layer-2 solutions running on top of the Ethereum blockchain. They combine several transactions and remove some of the load from the main network, which allows you to reduce the transaction fee and increase its speed.

Heard this l2 solution Arbitrum months ago but never tried it yet. Im still trying to understand how this work on top of eth, Is this l2 already supported by top CEX exchanges like Binance? I know its already live in Uniswap v3, but according to what I search you have to bridge your eth into arbitrum chain to be able to use but Im thinking it can cost you huge transaction fees on this process?

Polygon Is Bringing EIP-1559 Upgrades to Its Network With a Testnet Release
https://blog.polygon.technology/polygon-is-bringing-eip-1559-upgrades-to-its-network-with-a-testnet-release/
"Polygon is taking steps to bring this much-requested upgrade to our network. It goes live on the Mumbai testnet on Dec. 14, at 8 a.m. UTC.
Polygon’s MATIC has a fixed supply of 10 billion, so any reduction in the number of available tokens will have a deflationary effect. We took Ethereum’s experience since the upgrade as the baseline to simulate the potential impact on MATIC’s total supply. The analysis, which can be seen here, suggests that annualized burn would represent 0.27% of the total MATIC supply."

The lowest fees are now in the polygon ecosystem, because matic tokens are cheap.
But Optimism, Arbitrum and Polygon are the biggest ecosystems because there are so many interesting projects there.
But I spent a lot of coins on commissions on various bridges.

On January 9, the Arbitrum team reported a failure of the main network of the Arbitrum L2 solution. Everything happened as it turns out due to an error in the Sequencer smart contract, as a result of which the protocol stopped releasing new blocks, the developers guaranteed the safety of user funds, it is worth noting that this is the second network failure in the last half a year

yeah, this with reducing fees with upgraded technology should propel Optimism on TVL list
earlier it was a bit expensive to use Optimism, as fees could reach $20 for swapping, but with $2-3 fees after upgrade, it should have more users, and more protocols will be willing to deploy now, when whitelisting is over

as Vitalik said, multi-chain is bigger than cross-chain, will be interesting development in 2022

I have no idea how this is not talked about more in the traditional media. 450 Million is a lot of money. And they basically sold their tokens to get that money. It shows a lot of confidence put by these traditional VCs into Polygon.
The whole space is going through a bear market but such major investments show that the underlying current hasn't changed. Just another major positive story can change a lot of things.

Blockchains including Celo have recently chosen Optimism’s OP Tech Stack to deploy Layer 2s on Ethereum.
"Prominent venture capital firm a16z has snapped up about $90 million of Optimism’s native OP token, according to two sources familiar with the matter, marking the latest institutional bet on the Ethereum Layer 2.

The investment, said to be executed under a two-year vesting period, follows a flurry of activity in the Optimism ecosystem, including growth in usage of Optimism’s OP Stack. Token vesting periods entered into by sizable investors typically come with discounted purchases to the token’s trading price. "
