... is ethereum taking over the market from Bitcoin what are your opinions on the present cryptocurrency market condition?
No. BTC is still the main cryptocurrency market indicator. It's allowing major alts like ETH to make a short run while it's holding on above $40K. Even a "deflationary ETH" will fall when BTC decides to take a deep dive. It happens every time and I don't see that changing for many years to come.

Of course not. Now the price of ethereum is close to $ 4,000 and is $ 3,961. Perhaps tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we will see the ethereum price even higher than $ 4,000, but nothing significant will happen. In the spring, this coin has already reached a price of about $ 4,400. She has no chance to bypass bitcoin yet. Some predict that in terms of capitalization and price dominance, ethereum will be able to bypass bitcoin, but these are questions for the near future. The price of the coin does not really matter here.

It could. May be an unpopular opinion in this forum but I see higher chances of Ethereum taking over Bitcoin marketcap within a couple of years.
It's been a lot since I haven't used bitcoin and I don't hold a bit. It's costly and no specific use for me. I'd rather hold staking tokens than bitcoin.
Ethereum on the other hand even though suffering from problems like large transaction fees, is still the coin with most transactions. It's just in the 2nd number after stellar even at this moment. Side projects like BSC, Polygon and Avax are also making it easier for people to use and venture into Ethereum.

if you've been in this market for a long time then you should already know that when some altcoin has some good news it doesn't go down much even when bitcoin goes down, it doesn't just happen with ETH, it happens with all altcoins, so it's not necessary to make assumptions about that ETH can take over the bitcoin market just because of events that are seen to happen with all altcoins. you can prove that if right now the price of bitcoin dropped a lot you would see the price of ETH drop a lot too.

The market is existing a bullish signal and not only ethereum but bitcoin have also passed the $50,000 benchmark and I still believe that the present ethereum gains result from bitcoin’s success in the market.

The current market conditions in the past two days seemed like something had happened, it seemed like there was a scenario. Especially for Bitcoin, yesterday the price increased to $50K lasted only a short time and it didn't take long for the price to drop immediately. Hopefully the current price of $50K can continue to rise.
Altcoins are currently on the market starting to see an increase and this seems to be going very well.

It seems that you're the one that don't see the market. Bitcoin has reached $50k while Ethereum stops at $4000 a while then suddenly drops to $3900.

There's no taking of crown or taking over.

Bitcoin is still the best and despite having Ethereum, I'll still say that.

ETH is doing great for sure and we all are happy about it. But that doesn't mean that ETH is taking the crown from bitcoin. ETH is going through a change in algorithm and since staking will become the mining process for ETH, people are buying it heavily. It makes complete sense because people now won't have to buy expensive mining rigs, so they are buying ETH now so that they can earn a passive income without doing anything.

But again, that doesn't mean that ETH is taking the crown from Bitcoin. The king always remains as a king.

Yes, it’s true that eth showed a great move from $3k to $4k when btc was struggling. But this does not mean eth is taking the btc Position some how. You can get the proof if btc drop 10% recently, then you can see where eth can go. Obviously Eth will dump and it could be more than 10%.

I never think eth can take the btc position. King remain king always.

This has happened a hundred times now. Every bullrun, Ethereum shillers start this speculation about "flippening". This is mostly the signal that the bullrun is about to end for Ethereum and the Alt-coins. Right now, the fees have been ridiculous on Ethereum for weeks now, especially since the much hailed EIP-1559. There is also going to be a switchover to PoS which means that some other PoW competitor will soon be looking to takeover that market share and the GPU miners.

One reason for ETH increasing in price can be the emergence of yield farming on other blockchains where people end up buying ETH to bridge from Ethereum to that other platform. While this may lead to a temporary increase in price, this shifting of users means that the market share for Ethereum will split up between these alternate chains, and hence, decrease at the end of it. So, no taking crown ever.

Bitcoin will always dominate the market no matter what because its the king and will always be. We have seen how bitcoin has struggled a lot finally crossing its resistance level at $50k so now we can expect that it will be heading next into its new ATH. Even ethereum is already near to its expected ATH with its current price at $3,949.

Yet, bitcoin has always its power to maintain its position and there's no way for an altcoin even ethereum can take away its crown. The crypto world has always bitcoin in it and i can't imagine the whole crypto market will live through it without the leadership of bitcoin.

The adoption on Eth is rapidly growing and it's really showing in the price. especially the acceptance by visa card and lost more together with the burning of eth worth almost or over  500,000,000$. The price will rise, but that does not mean it's taking kingship from Bitcoin , it's nearly impossible, because Bitcoin is more globally accepted than Eth.

In my opinion, even though the market is currently experiencing bullishness, but the struggle from ethereeum to take over the bitcoin crown, I don't think will happen, bro.
Because bitcoin will also continue to pump to improve its price, and even if ethereum will reach a price of $ 4k, bitcoin will automatically be more than that.
Even the increase in the price of ethereum stems from the high price of bitcoin too, bro.

It had already shown a bullish sign when it has recovered after being down under $2k. That was a quick recovery for Ethereum and later did managed to $4k and now it's trying to break again the second time. But let's all be grown up that there will be no replacement for bitcoin.
It has been talked about many times and it will never replace bitcoin in its place. Even it's the 2nd on top of the crypto market, let's just accept that bitcoin is superior on this market and the first born of all. There are no other cryptocurrencies that will step over it and even those at the top including ethereum whether we're holders of it or not.

I have to say that the market of cryptocurrency right now is in the bullish time. Bitcoin price is gradually increasing over time and the most spectacular is ethereum. The price is nearly $4,000 and I can't wait to see it happen. But as we can see at the chart, bitcoin price has already reached $50,000.
this is such a good news.

it's been a few days since ethereum has been going up even though bitcoin is going down. such as showing not dependent on bitcoin. yes there may be other factors in the eth market that make the price of eth feel more independent and less affected by bitcoin. but if it is said to take over bitcoin position I don't think so . bitcoin will be main coin all off time.

ETH being bullish while bitcoin moves sideways does not mean that the former is taking over the latter. True that a lot of eyes are on ETH now, but bitcoin still holds the largest marketcap out of all cryptocurrencies, and a lot of big names, governments, and entities prefer bitcoin over ETH.

Even though that's the case, I'm still happy that ETH performs the way it does right now as it certainly gives some recognition on the altcoin.

It's possible but it's still a long shot, Bitcoin's dominance is going down while Ethereum is going up
Dominance: BTC 39.8% ETH 19.4% last year Bitcoin's dominance was over 60% the community cannot ignore what Ethereum and other coins like Binance and Polkadot is bringing to the industry, the technology is moving and changing for the betterment of the community.

I said, it will never happen. bitcoin bear? no, it's just a correction and it's normal when bitcoin is corrected, altcoins are on rise. will never be able to ethereum or any other altcoins take over the market. bitcoin will still be number one no matter the situation.

The whole cryptocurrency market is in positive state these days no negative news around which could effect the market that's why some top altcoins are giving good performance like ETH anyways according to my estimate Bitcoin will be forever on top and I don't think there is any other cryptocurrency which can beat Bitcoin in terms of market capitalization.

King is only one!!  ;D

Taking the market seriously, Bitcoin holds its position due to its popularity. However, as the years go by, people who are interested in cryptocurrencies see, that Ethereum has much more potential in practical use. I think that in 2-3 years there is a chance that Ethereum 2.0 will catch up with Bitcoin its market capitalization.

BTC will remain No.1, if Ethereum is growing after hard fork then BTC will also double in coming years after halving is coming and Ethereum will remain below the BTC and will never cross the BTC.

Both BTC and ETH have separate fan base.
It would be better if we not compare both the coins.
If you think too then also it’s impossible for ETH to ever cross BTC.
Btc is itself the major and father crypto, no coin in the future will ever cross the price.
Yes if ETH rises, then BTC will also surely rise.

I don't understand how you mean that Ethereum is taking over the Bitcoin market. If we look at the trading volume, the Ethereum volume is always below the Bitcoin volume. Taking over the market should of course be seen on a daily volume basis. Not to mention we are talking about a marketcap which is still very far from Bitcoin.

Ethereum just like Bitcoin could not hold the new price of yesterday for long before crashing down this morning, I believe the 3k has a very strong resistance for ethereum is going to take a lot of market push to cross and stay above the 4k region in the future.

Nope.

Bitcoin serves the purpose of being a store of value and that's that. ETH has other functionalities.

It's futile trying to just compare them on the basis of market cap. But I don't think that a flippening is going to happen any time soon - perhaps after eth2.0 comes out but even then the first mover advantage of bitcoin and its sheer adoption figures is still significant.

Ethereum can be the next real store of value, but people still prefer to use bitcoin than ethereum. The ethereum price is more volatile than bitcoin because ethereum follows behind bitcoin so when bitcoin is down like what we saw, ethereum and the other coin will just follow. Many altcoins follow to go down and it is waiting for bitcoin price increase again so the altcoin will also follow increase.

How could a 4k run of ethereum become a sign of taking crown from Bitcoin? lol i think you are making some big jokes here because the chance of breaking bitcoin from rank number 1 means a coin must have at least Trillion capitalization  ;D

I know Ethereum is one great coin and this project really makes tons of money for many investors .

but that doesn't mean number rank will be entertain at all cause this soon.

The ethereum market has hit its highest price since 2021 yesterday when it was sold at 4k before correcting down again, if the present trend continues very soon ethereum is going to go above $4000.

that's what mostly happens in the crypto market. Bitcoin's dominance is still unbeaten and that causes bitcoin price movements to affect the overall crypto market conditions. including ethereum assets.
ethereum has grown to be a great asset. it is natural for everyone to speculate highly on the future of this asset. but to align with the functional bitcoin of course everyone will still choose bitcoin no matter what.

So far, when I monitor the condition of Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, when Bitcoin prices go up, Ethereum only moves slowly with a small percentage. No matter the price growth of Ethereum, it can't overtake Bitcoin or take over the market from Bitcoin, are you seeing the huge gap between their market cap, that's an indication that Bitcoin will continue to keep a lot of coins in check. To make it even more interesting, even if Ethereum reaches $5k and a fud entered the market targeting Bitcoin, as Bitcoin is dropping in price it is taking the entire market with it, that's the power Bitcoin have over the entire market. However, it is good to acknowledge the price and development of Ethereum over the months, the team have really put in great work and efforts, and from the recent market growth, it shows everything paid off well.

Nah if bitcoin tanks so will eth you can be sure of that.  Always has always will, no matter what people want to hear eth is just another altcoin.  In the past bitcoin dips so does eth.  Bitcoin controls the entire market momentum up or down.

Bitcoin dictates how the market sentiments will be like and already as we all know there was a slight dip which saw bitcoin go down pulling all other altcoins with it into the deep which is a clear indication that bitcoin is still king and will call the shots.
As for Ethereum let's give it some credit, it is the king of altcoins and that is something no altcoin will take away from it but won't dethrone btc.

It really won't be dethroning bitcoin. It's been years already since a lot have tried but never any of them did won from that acquisition. So people should stop comparing bitcoin with anything in the market even if it's eth, the 3rd or fourth and so on.
It's just senseless to keep doing that just because you see it pump.

Precisely. There's no point in comparing them because even if the one exceeds the other but its definitely not dethroning since ethereum and bitcoin have different uses and purposes. They are both good investments but never will ethereum come to replace the position of bitcoin.

As what i have seen in the market, bitcoin and ethereum are both struggling to reach their ATH. But in the end, if bitcoin will reach first its new all time high, ethereum too will benefit from it and may even cause to reach its new ATH too as earlier as expected.

ETH has a great, amazing and smart leader. If ETH becomes that coin that is a global daily currency and the basis of all smart contracts and NFT’s etc… Then it will be worth an insane amount of money that couldn’t be matched by BTC.

Ethereum can be the next real store of value, but people still prefer to use bitcoin than ethereum. The ethereum price is more volatile than bitcoin because ethereum follows behind bitcoin so when bitcoin is down like what we saw, ethereum and the other coin will just follow. Many altcoins follow to go down and it is waiting for bitcoin price increase again so the altcoin will also follow increase.
that's what mostly happens in the crypto market.
People who do not believe in bitcoin will see that bitcoin can back to the higher price anytime and bitcoin still be the best investment so ethereum will be the second investment. Ethereum is still behind on bitcoin and will not replace the bitcoin position but ethereum will have its position in the market so people can still invest in ethereum anytime.

If you have been following the market lately ethereum has been showing some sign of bullish nature even when Bitcoin was struggling around 47k what can we expect as ethereum finally reaches $4,000 is ethereum taking over the market from Bitcoin what are your opinions on the present cryptocurrency market condition?
actually base in what i've notice as a day trader ethereum and bitcoin had the same movement during the bull run and even now fyi, for me in my personal opinion for that reason we cannot tell that ethereum can surpass bitcoin as they are both doing the same way wherein seems connected, indeed most of the coin that make good improvement such xrp, ada and more cryptocurrency except sol, they all have the same pattern. So how comes ethereum can take the crown of bitcoin if everytime there's an uptrend in the market both were showing the same pattern?

But are all these things owned by ETH at this time? I don't think that's all, so ETH is still not able to match BTC which basically doesn't have many advantages like ETH, it's just that BTC is more in demand by many people which can cause market influence for other Altcoins.

Guys are we serious? I grew to like ETH more and more since last year,,, really and this comes from someone who really disliked Ethereum ever since I joined crypto.

Bitcoin is undisputed king,,, and if anyone remembers how embarassed ETH people were in 2017 to talk about Flippening, please remember what it will do to you in 2021  :P
you can't go wrong if you like ethereum after what's happening now. not to mention updates are being done and prepared. when it's done I think if you are still able to hold it in you will surely benefit from your patience and trust.
I'm afraid we haven't seen any major dumps like the one after ATH 2017 was reached. the ETH market may be stronger at the moment, but ETH and even bitcoins can spoil the pleasure of those of us who are too happy with the market situation.

Ethereum can't take the crown from bitcoin because its clear that BTC has better value than ETH  and also BTC has lower max supply too, for ETH to reach 47k seem impossible at this point in time, also why comparing BTC with ETH because they really aren't the same thing

I doubt that we would have a big decrease in price nowadays, it is certainly something that looks like it is a wonderful situation at the moment. I get that it dropped a lot but recently it was as high as 4k which is quite close to ATH price. Bitcoin wasn't that close to its ATH price, BNB wasn't, if I am not wrong not many coins were close to their ATH prices at all, but ETH was very close to it. Obviously this means that ETH is something that is quite strong at the moment, one more push and while we see BTC at 52k-55k range which is not ATH at all, it could mean that ETH may break its ATH and that's what I love about it.

Plus, when you break over any ATH in any coin eventually that increases a lot more, we do not just break it by 5%, we go well beyond that. Let's hope to see more development news soon to see ETH breaking out and seeing even 5k+ soon.

I think $4K is still very far compared to the current bitcoin price of $45K, of course etherem can't compete with BTC, let alone take over the popularity of BTC, because BTC is a priority investment by everyone.

I agree that both are good investments and that's why I'm owning both of them. But the comparison is like endless despite what bitcoin and ethereum had proven to anyone.
Let's all think of these two as incomparable and they don't have to fight and compete with each other.

ethereum and bitcoin actually have different fundamental in market , investors look ethereum as smart contract platfrom which provide easinest for developers build their team. although there are huge differences between them in supply but eth and bitcoin still recognized as the king in each part.

only while ethereum solved the network fee ,scalabitlity and supply it could compete with bitcoin in price.

The good performance shown by Ethereum makes us believe that the current crypto market conditions are very good, Ethereum has already shown its quality as one of the best altcoin, although Ethereum is on a good track, but Ethereum is not able to take the crown from bitcoin. As has happened before, bitcoin is struggling to hit a high price. So Ethereum will never be able to take the throne that already belong to bitcoin.

Even if the price of Ethereum reaches 6k or more, Ethereum is still below bitcoin. The crown as the king of coin has always belonged to bitcoin, even until now there has not been a single atcoin that has been able to seize the crown from bitcoin, even though it is Ethereum. These two coins have always shown the best quality in the crypto market, and so far have proven to be coin to be reckoned with in the crypto market.

if ethereum reached 6k then bitcoin will be 100k then  so meaning even how huge support goes for ethereum yet it is not enough  to overtake bitcoin.
capitalization is clearly a show of how bitcoin was backed up by investors so bitcoin will remain top ranked coins until the downfall of bitcoin comes when the support totally leave this coin and convert to other crypto in which harder to achieve by other coins as there are tons of attempt yet bitcoin remains the number 1 for more than 11 years.

Negative issues always come from parties who don't like the presence of bitcoin, more and more oblique issue befell bitcoin, the more parties support bitcoin, thus keeping bitcoin firmly in the ranking of number one as the best coin ever. For 11 years bitcoin circulating in the crypto market, no altcoin has been able to replace bitcoin position as the best coin, although every year there are thousands of new coin present in the crypto market, but the level is still very far below bitcoin.

Ethereum even reached more than that , taking 4,300 in All Time High
May 12, 2021 = $4,362.35 but does that change your view? now that ethereum just step 4k and fall back again you are asking about this impossible dream?
ethereum is indeed good coin but does not enough to make bitcoin shaking.

this coin will remain under bitcoin and will even be broken by Binance in the future.

don't be upset but that is the reality , ethereum is most used portal but remember that there are many competitor that is making their way up also and more functional and has no fee issues.

Actually, this value cannot be used as a reference for comparison and competition because each coin has its own basic value, so the size of the value cannot be used as a benchmark in this case, even though both of them have very many fans now.
If the reference is seen in terms of value, it is very unlikely for Ethereum to catch up with the deficit from bitcoin, Moreover, the value of Ethereum is still very far below Bitcoin, even I dare say it will never happen. If we talk in terms of popularity and market demand, it might still happen. But again I reiterate, bitcoin will always be the king of cryptocurrencies and need a new king to replace the old king.

currently price of ethereum is good it's also thanks to bitcoin ,the turnover of the exchange dominates the price power ,until now bitcoin is king and it has not been kicked by any altcoin including its rival ethereum ,the current condition and situation is still safe
in what way did ETH take over the market from Bitcoin? Can you explain more clearly?
So far, when I monitor the condition of Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, when Bitcoin prices go up, Ethereum only moves slowly with a small percentage. When the price of Bitcoin fell like yesterday September 9, 2021, all Altcoins fell by a large percentage, including Ethereum. So, please explain in what way did Ethereum take over the market from Bitcoin?
Maybe he meant to take over the market in the top 1 in all crypto markets
~snip
The picture already explains the real thing
So far no one has been able to take over the market from Bitcoin. On a percent basis, Bitcoin has averaged 3% this week and Ethereum has averaged 2% since the price dropped some time ago. That's not to mention the percentage of Market Cap and Volume.

Maybe our friends rarely see the data.

As a ethereum Holder how i always wish that this will happen but the problem is?
the chance is not coming at any point this soon.

as long as bitcoin is being supported by majority of investors? EThereum will never have a chance to come breaking Bitcoin Crown.
