This has been something I have found difficult to decide on . When this bill run ends in a couple of months time should I sell all my VET and XRP then buy back in when the market turns bearish until the next bullrun?

Or do I only sell a portion of what I have and hold the rest for another 4 years. Reason I am asking is could XRP and VET continue to rise once the bull run ends ? I obviously don’t want to sell all my tokens to find they are continuing to rise in a bear market

Sell what you think is the right portion to be sold. What matters is your satisfaction of what you sell and what you hold and as well as what you buy.

I mind you to take some profits while planning to hold those for long term.

We actually don't know the end of the bullish or bearish era. But, for me personally, I will set a target in order to get the price at a certain rate. And then, sell them by percentage.
If the market has signed the bearish, I will prefer to sell my coins (moreover if having target reached). And then will be back again to buy in bearish era and then hold it for investment.
But once again, everybody has their own decision and strategy for how long they will hold or not.

When bull run end it's impossible for any coin to stay upside trend so selling while you can is the best possible option for you. You don't exactly know when bull run end so you better not sell all at once. There will be good times where you can re-add VET and XRP to your portfolio but you don't have to hurry, bear market may be longer than you think. I sold all my portfolio in previous two bull runs and I never regret selling them. I regret I didn't buy back before new bull runs though.

Depends on you because its your investment or money then if you do look for XRP and VET to rise up on the future and don't like on selling it all then its your choice.Actually no one do ever knows on what

I do hold some tokens for a quiet while now, and I'm happy with it because I have my goals with it and I know it can really reach my target price. Patience is the key here and the right mindset with your investments.

How do you know that if the bullrun will come in the next months? I should remind you that even there were lots of experts were predicting bitcoin to go to the 20k range but bitcoin is performing the opposite thing.

It is all your choice mate. But I would also like to share what I would do in such situation. I guess that I would keep my coins until a new bull run starts and ends. Before all this, I would already set a price goal to sell some amount of my profit. After doing this when the bull run ends, I would continue to HODL some coins considering the long term. Who knows, maybe there will be a boom in the price and I will make much more money. But I wouldn't keep too much money in any of these coins for a long term. Because I'm doubtful about their future.

There is no better asset for escaping volatility in crypto market than stable coins, if bear market is really coming I suggest everyone takes their profits and switch to stable coins instead and if you plan to hold for next bull market then you have nothing to worry about, right now it doesn't look like bear market is coming any time soon but one gotta be prepared anyways

Nobody knows when the dump of the cryptocurrency market will start, at the moment we can only guess when this might happen, and of course you by yourself have to decide when to sell your cryptocurrencies and when it is best for you to take profit from investments, for example, I have already sold a lot of cryptocurrencies, since they have grown in price very well and brought me a good profit, and now I just wait for the correction of the cryptocurrency market to re-invest in various cryptocurrencies which brings me income already long time.

For sure bull seasons are not permanent that's why you'll already have a plan about your holdings, you can sell or hold it depends on your situation. Any of the two is a good strategy hence crypto is here to stay and that holdings of yours will be on good hands. Taking profit is not a bad thing, so don't stress that out, small or big still profit then.

I don't even think that this is a bull run going on now. It is more of a rally actually to me. Firstly, it is your choice about what to do in the end. I would never want to affect you directly or nobody would like to. If I were you, I would wait for the next bull run which I hope that it will come in few months in the worst case. And when I feel like it's the end of the bull run, I would sell a serious amount of my profit not to be greedy.

sell only amounts that you will be needing and hodl the rest but you must also ready your self to what your going to see because theres only small number of coins that survived in a bear market and the rest follow the trend of btc . holding some of your coins is great if your not planning of buying more but theres no problem of selling it all as long as you will come back of buying it again soon .

The second one if you really think bull run is already ended. Sell some portion from our assets can really made us (as long we already get our capital back) not really regret if price dumped because we get some in higher price, or maybe not missed moment if the price keep pumped. At least that is what is on my mind when sell some of my profit and hold the rest.

You should not sell all of your VET and XRP, if those coins will be going even higher and then you will have lost your position to follow it. Just keep some XRP and VET in your wallet and sell the enough portion to anticipate the dump that can happen anytime. Just sell them in a small portion or you can take 50% as the maximum portion to sold your coins in the market.
XRP and VET could increase even more but this depends on bitcoin. Bitcoin will be determining whether the crypto market will be going on. If it will be very bullish and your assets like XRP and VET will increase more.

I do not believe that XRP would ever go high too much. I mean there are hype times when all the markets are going up, at that point it may look like maybe XRP would go up. However not only it goes up less than everyone else (while bnb, btc, eth, doge and many others broke their ATH this year, XRP failed to do that) it also has the insane problem of being centralized like crazy and having a problem with the government.

I do not want a coin that has a problem with a government, look at btc, china banned miners and now we have no problem at all, why? Because we do not care if China bans btc since they can't do anything about it. However, when USA wanted to stop XRP they were quite capable of doing it to the Ripple company and if Ripple company bankrupts and owners jailed then I am sorry but XRP will be gone as well. Why take a hard time to decide while you can put a decision for yourself and make all the basis depends on your needs, If you think you cannot gamble anymore and your losing more money and then you cannot afford to lose more rather than hold it for more longer days then better sell it since I'm sure its a huge pressure  or stress seeing the price dumping badly then you can buy back again once you see that the market stabilize.

Get profits and buy back when its bearish again. However, its very difficult to determine whether it could still be at that point or no. Those two however were good coins back then and SEC comes which takes some of its price. I remember when XRP was super bullish then immediately goes to 0.5$ due to SEC case they faced. At 1$ right now, I think its a good sell for profits unless you bought XRP at its ATH which is almost 4$.

Op, you should make decisions that feel right to you based on ypur goals. If you want to support a certain project because you believe in their ideas, then selling once the bull run's over is not a very nice thing to do. At the end of a bullish runnits the best thing to do. You sell off. The rules remain sell high and buy low if your really want to stay in profit. Having a set target  and sticking to will also be of great help assume you had a profit target and this target is been meet it's adviceable you sell off wait for a retracement then buy some more while you patiently wait for another bullish run to take some more profit.

Tbh, I'm quite surprised with the choice of coins that make up your portfolio, I know we all choose coins for different reasons, but do you actually trust both of this coins to be productive and sustainable in the long term and not to dump somewhere along the line, from a personal perspective, I take majority of altcoins to be short term investments, thus if you consider yourself to have made ROI, then you can go on and sell them now you can, if they dump, you prolly may not have that chance again.

If the coin you're hodling is Bitcoin for example, I would have adviced you not to sell and to hold on to your stash cause Bitcoin is a long term project that I believe in and that is very much sustainable, if you as well believe in VET and XRP, then you can decide to hold on to them.

I don't think that it was a bull run and it ended already as it seems. Because Bitcoin price fell down incredibly high in a short time. And now we see it struggling to recover again. To be honest, it was really unexpected for me. I bought Bitcoin some more when the price was at $50k. But there is no problem for me as I want to HODL them for a long time. Let's be patient and see what happens in the coming days. I don't think that it would be a wise action to sell everything. It's best to be patient and not panic sell.

When the condition is now I prefer to buy back. Yesterday's Btc correction cannot be said to be bearish, it is still bullish and this could be a sign of a new Ath for all. I believe the bulls will not end until the end of the year. Maybe you can consider it more.

There's no accurate basis in terms of value. This market is more on speculative and if you think that you done enough during your research, holding and trusting the project to perform is the best thing to do for now.

It's true, the ending of that crash is still bullish for bitcoin. It didn't even break below $40k so it's still a good price to think that we're still at the bull run.

You don't need to sell all your tokens before the bear market but you can always convert your tokens to stable coins like usdt, cusd and other stable coins which would be more easier for you to get in to other crypto market of your choice without using Fiat to buy your desired coins back into the market. Even though all the cryptocurrency market falls during the bear market, I don't think the bear would have so much influence on stable coins which are equivalent to one use.

It's very unlikely that we may experience a bear market this year though there are alot of sentiments now, but that doesn't matter much cause bitcoin will definitely recover and everything will start pumping back up, but I'll advice  you get a bag of some other promising project like solana and near Protocol, both have pump insanely for the past few days for Near this is just the beginning and there's a possibility for it to surge up to even $50, xrp and vet are old coins I would suggest you invest in new techs.

We cant predict accurately if the price of XRP and VET will continue to increase further even the bullrun already ends so the decision is up to you. Can you wait longer? If yes then just keep holding.

On other side, it is also a wise decision to sell if the price is already acceptable to take profit. Then just buy back once the coins are declining. In the end, it depends on your preferred plan because we have own way thinking and knows whats best for ourselves.

Depending on what percentage of your profit, if I were you I would sell it with a profit percentage of 20% -30% of the purchase price. XRP is highly centralised and prone to regulatory attacks. People shouldn't forget what happened just a while back with the regulatory problems that they've had which drove prices down significantly.

But for the others, if you believe in decentralisation and crypto for the long run, why bother selling? You're just incurring unnecessary CGT costs if you are going to buy back again.

We don't really see when the bullrun will end but seeing that the price had soar high already which you could conclude to be the overbought level, you can already sell and wait for the price to be dumped later.

If you want to save up tokens, then you should. I believe XRP and VET can still rise because they have good stability and volume.  I'm also hodling them and I believe they can still rise up next year so I didn't sell all of it just left a portion of it.

As some people have said, we still don't know whether the market will turns bearish, even the price of coins are still quite high if you see the price and not too fixated on the percentage of price changing. But if you're already in profit, it's fine to dump your coins, simply because you can always buy again if the market is truly becoming bearish since if the market is in bearish, it means it's a good price to buy and wait for later bullish market. For the price, everyone has a stop-loss price in their hearts. Remember to stop the loss when the price of the coin drops sharply.

There is no perfect time to buy and sell as prescribed by the Market experts like they say buy at low at sell at peak but who decides that point is solely dependant on you.If you think bull run is ending soon then sell and buy back at dips again to accumulate more and gain profits.The prices may rise more after you sell but they might come back down in bearish time and you can buy at that time so you see it is the case how you manage your funds in proper manner and what profits satisfy you.

that is really logic, but it is so personal when it comes to investment, because the limit of someone's greed is so different. and for me this time is not the perfect time to sell our coins. based on my experience and feeling that the price will increase again. but if your target has already achieved maybe you can consider to sell half of your assets.

Coins I dont sell are staking coins like tezos. algorand, cosmos  ect  when there is a bull run  any of the others I will sell when the market is high and then  buy again when the market is low :)

Yes, it is because that token will get dump once the token is released at the market, making bounty hunters sell the token as fast they can so they can profit. They can buy back after the dump because the price can be at the lowest price and sometimes, the price will reach below the ICO price.

The bull run will come again after this bear trend this week so we must prepare ourselves for the coming. Maybe this week and the next month will be the right time for a crypto to rise and give us a big chance to make a big profit.

Unrealized profit is never yours, I loss over $60k from the bear that struck and took bitcoin to $28k,most of my coins were defy coins some are yet to hit ATH, what I Know decide to do is to be taking profits as it comes and not wait until the worst happen. I have a place I keep my USDT, USDC, BUSD and as a rule, the stablecoins don't come back to the market again. I will have to manage what is already available in the market, if I can't then I am not a discipline trader/investor.

You must first settle if the bull run really ends and the bear is now the trend in the market, you can sell a portion but always retain some coins in your portfolio not because bear is the trend in the market that does not mean a coin will not get pump, even in the bear market there are coins that get a pump when there are updates on their platform or there is a partnership, it's not a good idea to dump everything just because you are following the rule Buy Low and Sell High.

Sell before bull run ends or face the consequences, if you aren't planning for a long term hold it's wiser to keep taking profits little by little but if you are like me that's ready for long term hold then make sure you choose your coins wisely, vechain, cardano, BnB, Neo, Polkadot, avalanche, solana are good for long term hold even if BTC falls down to 20k again, the choice is yours OP

Nah keep stacking.  Go in intervals and dca down if need be, keep stacking sats no matter what.  In the end you will be sitting fine.  Trying to time markets is what gets everyone burned and earns very few a good deal.  Missed opportunities, tax ramifications, etc.

I think everything will have an impact when the bear market comes so there is almost no chance that the coin will go up, maybe some newly released coins will go up but will immediately go down because of the impact of the bear market.

You don't sell everything because market just crashed as this could only mean two things,  either you playing in the hands of the whales, probably manipulators trying to win cheap coins off the market or it could simply be a correction.  But if you have to sell ,sell.. but the rules of crypto remain...buy low and sell high so see this as an opportunity to buy the dip and sell when the price of bitcoin recovers and its at its high.

I do not think that bull run has being over, infact I think above 50k it starts and has a long way to go. So just because it has fallen couple of thousand dollar does not mean the bull run is over. I think the same as you. There is no need to sell all our coins, just sell some coins that are already increasing at good prices to sell. I'm like you regarding VET and XRP, because not many people know about VET, although after I saw the data on coinmarketcap it is not a new

I do not get why people have to overreact to things. I understand that we had a fall but that doesn't change the fact that we didn't had a fall THAT big, we had a decent size fall and that's fine. I sold some coins couple of months ago considering it was end of bull run. But it made me regret. I feel like cryptomarkets are still in bull run as we keep seeing quick raises and soft corrections. Last big correction was dangerous although we are safe now.

Its true that when bitcoin is declining, altcoins are following. Hence its not unusual to see the altcoins to have a correction since btc is moving the same way too. I think when all the coins are at their peak this is a good time to sell. maybe some people think, the price will go up again but it all passed and the price of the coin started to fall and regretted it. what if you are a true holder you will definitely buy it back at a cheap price and wait for it to come back up even though it takes a long time. You are thinking right. Don't sell your all coins at once. Sell them in portions. If you feel that your target achieved then sell 50% of coins and hold the remaining of 50% coins. And when it takes a huge dip then again buy these coins at cheap prices. So, this is the best technique i think. In this way, your quantity of coins increases. So, don't sell all your coins at once because we did not know the market that its price increase more or dump.

I think the same as you, no need to sell all the coins, just sell some of the coins that have increased at a good price to sell. For some coins whose price is still going down, it's better to hold on to them. The signs for the upcoming uptrend are still there, I'm also sure that the bullrun isn't over yet. Depends on your target if the price already hit your target i think sell partialy its fine, atleast secure your capital first. I always sell 30% when my coin already hit my personal target and the rest i will keep it and set another goal before i sell it again.

You have no control over your own investment when there are still external factors influencing. After many failed attempts I knew I needed to be simpler in many things, content to accept everything I deserved.

Predicting when the bull run is over is is hard. We could not always correct sometimes when we already sell a lot of our asssets to stable coins or fiat, the coins keeps going up and we will feel really bad for it.
So since last year i decided to make my ETH becomes my fiat. Every investment that i'm taking profit, i always convert it to ETH no matters the market is bull or bear. It's worth if you decided to not withdrawing into fiat for a long time.

Actually, all altcoins follow Bitcoin's movements, so I don't think that either Ripple or Vet is likely to grow on a bear market. Your decision about selling or not is up to your strategy. If you are a long-term holder you are supposed not to sell. But actually it will give you a big profit if you manage to catch a moment of a peak and of a full dip then but  it is very hard.

I would say that the bull run stays longer compared to the previous bull run, so people now are more confident of buying without thinking they got FOMO already. As we can also see, the price is still stuck but without a range of a price that could possibly break the current ATH of bitcoin.

Even if the OP sold all of his assets , it is his choice to do so. You need to be lucky as well to get into a project and expect that the team would perform well like they promised initially before collecting your money, so that you will get the desired profit like you are expecting while investing. Suppose the bull run will be here for another couple of months, if the project you invested is not performing well even with hyping them, then you wont be reaping the benefit even during a bull run.

I will set an objective to get the cost at a specific rate. It once in a while happens that an altcoin will keep on going up when there is a bear market. The market is as yet moving and it is hard to tell when the market will invert. Numerous units sold out in February and May this year. I sold all my portfolio in past two bull runs and I never lament selling them. However, i lament I didn't repurchase before new bull runs.

Everyone has their own kind of strategy on how to take a profit out of their investment and I do agree with you mate if you think that you are already satisfied on the profit that you can take out of it then you can do it. In my case it depend on what token or altcoin that I have invested like I have invested in xrp and sol then as what we can see the market of these token were too volatile and consistently changing, then what I have done is taking only the profit even if it is small amount or as much as I can I take out my principal and leave the profit there and yeah hoping that it will generate again after the bear season and as much as I can I do during bear season I do buy again these token because I know that this token are worth to invest with and hold for a long term.

After seeing market conditions on yesterday, i thought bearish trend may start but today market is recovering! So its hard to tell when bull run will end or if bear market start, then when It'll end! So nobody can guarantee what will happened on next 4 years! but if you aren’t willing to sell your token, then sell a percentage of it. During bear session, you could buy more with low price. But if your hold cause dump, then those are good altcoins, so verily possible to recover within next 4 years!  So you can do both of those

Not sure if i sell everything because i invested in some of the new projects that are yet to gain any momentum, so time is of the essence in a situation like that. I picked some pump and dump projects and i will book my profit and i will not hold those coins for a longer period of time. If i think a project is not having any potential or the developers are delaying things with empty promises then i would sell off everything rather than hoping for the best because the risk of loosing big is a real possibility in this market.
