But if you study Lincoln, you will find that he wasn't all that you think he was. Several days before the start of the Civil War, he announced that he would never free the slaves... and he didn't free them. He simply made them slaves of the Federal Government rather than private owners via the 13th and 14th Amendments.

The Civil War was about taxation, not about freeing slaves. The slaves were simply part of the tax payment deal when the North won. The US got them, and over the years, government gradually tricked the rest of us into becoming slaves to government... all because of Lincoln.

Well he was good in his game and able to do imaginary things that most president before him couldn't accomplished. He promised to free the slaves and doing his time, things went soft and liberty was given to people to initiate there interest in making America great. Lincoln was a smart man and he was one of the best president during the American's history.
I think there is more to what the OP has written that we need to know. Everything in life has advances and disadvantages...so don't expect everybody to glorify him as one of the best cause many still do like him. I'm still waiting to see a president like Lincoln in this present time we are in.

America's political crisis is nothing new the situation was even worse during the time of abraham lincoln. Whether it is the longest president of america or the first bearded president of america all the records are held by one person and he is abraham lincoln he was the 16th president of the united states to be a very popular and respected president and to proclaim the freedom of slaves in america. Its undeniable to abolish slavery the current presidents are usually associated with politics and corruption.

Abraham Lincoln is the person who will be remembered in the history of the world. The 16th president of America (in 1861 -1865 )did good effort work for humanity. His work to free blacks from slavery is acknowledged. He has the quality of leadership with temperance, good speaker, honesty, and has a good personality. He was the popular leader of the United States.

I can't disagree that he accomplished a lot and will be remembered as having been a major factor in the abolishment of slavery in the United States.  That being said, I am not sure if his motivation was so much focused on slavery as the history books would have you believe.  I think financing of the industrial revolution played a role, but then again that's crazy talk on a decentralized currency forum on the internet.

After reading P&S for a while and seeing BADecker around, and also having private conversations with him, I think that BADecker is one of the most dedicated trolls on the forum.

Indeed he was a great leader and politician who always worked for the benefit of his nation and his country. Throughout his life, he had struggled a lot to reach a particular level where the world still recognizes him and quotes him always as an example and role model. In my opinion, the politicians of today can never beat the level of Lincon. He was a great man and a great leader.

Abraham Lincoln is a great and good leader every leader needs to emulate or make role model,  Abraham Lincoln concern was for his people and not for his own selfish interests.  Abraham Lincoln showed leadership by examples . He was a leader that exhibited ethics of a good leader. Because  of his great service he rendered to humility he still speaks even if he's no more.
