Actually, from the past few years the Defi Coins are very popular b/w the investors, but I am confused Is Defi bes Best from Alts?

Its swarming with defi coins so its kinda hard to say which one is the best. Almost all coins now are affiliated with defi or some making or changing their project into defi. But if we gonna based it on actual performance we can see those top tier project defi product such as aave and sinx. Plenty of projects now in the defi trend so pick your poison.

They are very popular but avoid DeFi on Ethereum because the gas fees will eat all of your profits. There are a lot of rewards that I can't claim because the gas fees are worth more than what I farmed. Now I farm on Spookyswap on Fantom and on Ref Finance on NEAR protocol, both of these have amazing rewards. I'm considering moving my funds from BSC to NEAR when the rainbow bridge is live too.

It depends on the project because whether it is DeFi project or the Altcoin project if the project really develops a serious project and has a good plan that can grow in the future, that will be a good project that can give you profit. But DeFi is just a new trend in the crypto world so you need to know that every trend will end and replace by new trends. If you want to invest in DeFi, you need to research to find the right project. That will be the same for investing in Altcoin. But I suggest you invest in bitcoin if you are hard to find which is a good project.

When Altcoins first came there were discussions on which was best - bitcoin or altcoin, today you know the answer is bitcoin, even if you might deny it. Then came questions on which altcoin among all altcoins was best - answer was none, but people did not like that but today you know even that is true.

So now we have the same question on DeFi. Answer remains same, only bitcoin is the one which is best. Altcoins are shitcoins that have no intrinsic value and those projects running the name of DeFi to run stablecoins and lending pools are more or less the same waste of time and money that altcoins are.

In case you are misinformed, only wannabe traders get into altcoins and they get rekt pretty quickly too and stop trading. The one who remain for long know that bitcoin is the only coin to buy and any other "New project" coming up is a time waster money grabber.

Defi is a classification and they're platforms unlike altcoins, they're the usual altcoins that we know. Most DeFis are accepting altcoins for you to yield farm and stake if they have that feature specific for the altcoin that you'll deposit there. Knowing what's best, it depends to your knowledge and investing style if you want to go with simply holding altcoins or invest them into DeFis. But if you talk about the best, it's best for you to have bitcoin and it's the best from alts and DeFis.

This is a very difficult thing to be determined. As far as i know if almost all of the defi platforms in the cryptocurrencies were offering almost similar features but the thing that makes it different should be from the reputation of the platform itself. I personally will try to pick the TVL as a way to determined which was the best defi from the altcoin.

I am not sure what exactly your question is to be honest. If you are asking if Defi projects are the best altcoin projects then i don't think that there is a clear answer for that. Defi has definitely changed the cryptomarket as a whole and i am also pretty sure that defi will not disappear like many other Trends that we had before but it will stay forever as a big pillar for the crypto space. New Trends are still emerging though. At the moment the topics of NFTs and play to earn games are also pretty hot.

A good altcoin project should have a solid road map, real-life utility and a transparent team. Always make it a habit to read and analyze extensively their whitepaper. There are a lot of projects under DeFi, PancakeSwap is one and it had been a great help for easy and fast swaps.
It's like the ICO craze, many ICO's do look good in paper but when soft cap is never reached due to lack of investors or failure in marketing they went down.
Don't get confused though, they are still all altcoins just named differently under a new platform.

Basically meaning there are projects with defi start and there are projects which are non defi as well. So, the question here is basically like "if you had your own project, would you start with defi or regular coin?" basically. Plus for investors as well, "if defi is popular than isn't it easier to invest in defi than coins because defi will get a lot more attention?" type of situation. It works on each side and points so I sort of understand.

However, I do not agree that defi is a must for a project to be big, there are many projects which are not defi and they are doing fine as well. We just need a bit more time for coins and less time for defi but they both could be bad or very good.

Defi coins are still altcoins. You make it sound like it is different from alts whereas they are the same. Defi means decentralized finance and there are coins built in that pattern which are also altcoins. These coins are built in a way that makes them have real use in real life and not some coins built in fantasy without use. I will go for any coin that is a DeFi as against a memecoin any day.

If you're interested in defi projects, then go ahead and do your research about them and choose, but if you do that very research properly you'll discover the sort of risks with scams and hacks you are about to face if you decide to invest in defi, of course there was a lot of hype surrounding it some months back, but it all seemed to go down sooner rather than later, though there are still talks about defi, but not as much as it was when it came on the scene. Having said that, the depreciation of the defi hype can be attributed to the reality of what investors experienced when they put their money into it, the thing is, many of this projects are not long term ones and I'm pretty sure they'll not be popular for too long, if you intend to be a long term investors, just choose eth or Bitcoin, they are more or less your best bet.

in my opinion the defi coins are better than altcoins but only because they have a possibility of rapid growth in value, for now i would exclude those on the eth blockchain and focus on those on bsc, matic, tera blockchain my favorite is cake of pancakeswap

Defi is an altcoins and I think you have the wrong question or you still don't know it. then why do you make it different? as long as the coin can still develop well then it will still be the best

What specific Altcoins you're talking about because DeFi is an Altcoins. I saw a lot of good DeFi project in the past year and until now they are doing good and successfully launch their project despite of having a new trend which is the NFT tokens. If you're into altcoins, make sure you are investing only on good projects, don't forget that there's a lot of fake project, so always careful on choosing where to invest.

I think DeFi is one of the best usecase of altcoins, since Bitcoin whitepaper also mentioned that Bitcoin was proposed for Financial tools.

Defi projects are the new trend nowadays but it is still part of altcoins. Now, if you're asking which one is better to invest in, the answer depends of the project itself of the particular alts and defi. There are defi projects that has a potential and we can only find out which one if we conduct an extensive research, the same goes for alts. But some investors prefer to choose alts that are already been here for years because they already prove their worth as a profitable investment. Hence it depends on your choice because alts and defi can be a good choice.

My favorite DEFI project is puncake swap and respectively its native token cake. It works on Binance Smart Chain, which means that it doesn’t cost much to run transactions there. i think the reason why defi was popular before because it was still new in the ears of the investors but nowadays the hyped of defi got lowered .
if this continue , those that invest in defi coins will go back on regular altcoins .

I only know 2 DeFi's and those are both with "swap" on their names.
Performance base, those 2 swap names seem to conquer the NFT field and they are in the boom without NFT purchasers even realizing it.
If one project defaults to the DeFi swap platform as their means of purchasing NFT tokens then investors will just follow the instruction given.
Damn, I should've invested in those but I think it's too late for now. Could've been a large profit if I were a bit early.

If you are completely new, i'd strongly recommend taking your business to FTM though. There are enough bridges for you to easily transfer amongst different chains and they provide staking rewards with the Spookyswap platform. One advantage of FTM is that Andre is also building on it. Well defi is still considered as altcoins as well, I feel kinda bizarre once you pointed it out as something like defi is the best among the whole crypto environment. Every single altcoin has its own advantages so I couldn't agree defi is the best one, not to mention most defi coins are quite the same in many ways.

Well it depends on the coin, the developer. and the project. But personally, I prefer new defi, which can clearly provide benefits compared to new altcoins that I don't know anything about. defi can provide direct benefits to the user. and in terms of trends for now, i think defi is also more popular.

I think defi is more interesting because many venture capitalists and even wall street have also been playing defi for the past few months. And when there are many institutions or large investment injections into a token, fundamentally it becomes a positive sentiment for future prospects.

And it's also the reason why SEC is looking into DEFI in crypto space. As of now, they're trying to see what they could do to control CEFI and they just tested Celsius and Blockfi. Be careful which DEFI project to pick, platforms are often like Cefi actaully even if it's Uniwap or pancake, they are just alike.

Gotten some UNI from airdrop and that's just what I'm going to hold. I think UNI still is one of the best DEFI projects out there.

Wall street is way more interested in running their penny stocks and bonds, while at the same time taking risky bets on investment banks who are again happily fulfilling them.

The VCs who are putting money into DeFi are not that saintlike as you might think. All these "Deals" are done with money and they are in it for the money too. Once they get their profit back, they will exit and like that have always done with the ICO markets, they will do the same here. Once the advisors leave, the devs will start leaving too and the investors will be left hanging high and dry while the project gets abandoned.

I agree with the first 6 names. Before I don't like Defi, but when NFT games became trending at the present time now, ah little by little I checked some of the defi coins
that are on top in the market. Then, I found out that still altcoins remain one of the good place to trade in here in this business industry.
But still if the Defi coins is under BSC platform that would be nice for me but if it is under by ERC20, nope its not good in my own opinion.

We do not have to compare DeFi and altcoin because both have different main focuses to give to the investor. I never like low market cap coins because when it doesn't explode in the future it will be very painful for everyone because a lot of time has to be spent waiting for it, that's why I prefer high market cap coins.

Dont' be confused, it's quite simple. If your coin is a normal coin, it just sits there and does nothing. You have to hope that someone buys your litecoin for example at a higher price, but there is nothing else you can do with it. With POS coins you can stake them and earn normally around 5% APY. If you hold DeFi tokens and participate in DeFi, you can earn yields of 100% or more. I'm farming 5 usd a day on Ref Finance, 40 usd per day on Alchemix, 2 usd a day on Ubeswap, 10 usd a day on Spookyswap, and 2 usd a day on Alpaca. That's over 21k usd per year and I don't have to do anything but hold my tokens in smart contracts. That doesn't include trading fees or the rise in value of my deposited assets.

Defi projects are the rave of the moment but again with lots of scams because anyone can create a coin on uni swap this easy process have to lead to the creation of so many fake defi tokens and coins. But again if you are looking for a good coin to invest in I will advise you buy more bitcoin or ethereum and hold.

For me each project development are best according to their own time and season. We know the trend is changing. For now NFT is the trend so it is the best over DeFi. Defi are also altscoins too so your question is a bit contradictory, if you are looking for a defi altcoins there are variety to chose from, even there many defi nft projects too with good prospect, it is hard to point out which are the best, you can always follow up on few of them and see which is most appealing to invest on, sometimes what we consider as best may not be so.

I think never. At one time DeFi gained a lot of popularity among the people. But now it has lost a lot of popularity. There was popularity very quickly.And lost popularity very quickly. But here the bitcoin blockchain has become more popular than the position it is in. Alt coins are in the same position.But the Defi coins have lost much of their value, dignity and popularity.

This top decentralized exchange list isn't unique, we can get from anywhere. But if I were op, I would definitely buy defi from the centralize exchange. I wouldn't use the Ethereum blockchain if I had to buy it from a decentralized exchange. I don't want to give more money to Ethereum miners for the Ethereum transaction. Altcoins and defis all have good and bad ones, we can't just pick something and go with that. Instead of buying 2 defi tokens that one might be good and one might be bad, just buy one good altcoin and one good defi for example. This is why I highly suggest that we should be focusing on what could be good in the selection and not the type.

If you focus on a coin, or defi, or nft, or collectible, or game or whatever else as a type and just try to buy something in there, then you will end up missing out all the good ones in the other parts of it. This is why it is always advised to pick something good and have good fundamentals and a good community, if you can do that then do not care about anything else about it.
