Title: Would like to invest more than $20k. Which altcoin project?
Post by: tyz on September 17, 2021, 01:19:43 PM
I am currently thinking about investing a larger amount > $20k which I have recently received through sales of some shitcoins that I don't think have much of a future ahead of them. I have already done some research myself. But for the final assessment I would like to hear your opinion. Which of these following projects do you see as a great investment and why?

  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Polkadot (DOT)
  • Avalanche(AVAX)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Cosmos (ATOM)
  • IOTA (MIOTA)

I have already severely limited the number of possible coins. The original list was around 30 coins, but after the research, the above six coins remained. Therefore please do not name others.

I wish that I have the same sales as you with those shitcoins that I've got but I don't think that I'll ever have it. Anyway, these would be the few altcoins that you've mentioned which I'll divide that capital.

LTC
Dot
ADA

ADA and Dot are hot topics these days because of their pump but they're also becoming good with its development. And for Litecoin, as usual, this coin never gets old.

On the other hand if you want some passive income, Cosmos would be also good to stake.

One very good option for your 20k dollars is to invest in this impressive project I know called Stakenet and its native coin XSN.

- Undervalued but has a huge potential to moon.
- The development team is focus driven.
- Project has been around since 2018.
- Has an active discord & twitter community.
- Continous and exciting developments are still on going.

and so much more. Hope you can check it out!

  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Polkadot (DOT)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
From the list of 30 now down to three, I believe these are worth to invest with because they have the great network and they are growing faster than what we are expecting. Though LTC are quiet not that active but still, given the experience that he have here in the market, I still see this one as a valuable altcoin to hold for.

With the recent pump with ADA, that is because of the updates over the past months and with Polkadot, you can also see their real potential in this market. Just set up your qualifications on investing on any project, like the pros and cons and do you best to analyze if properly, better to have a consistent criteria so every you invest, you know what to look for.

  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Polkadot (DOT)
  • Avalanche(AVAX)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Cosmos (ATOM)
  • IOTA (MIOTA)

Go for DOT. DOT's doppelganger network - Kusama is growing well and fast. Those projects that launched on Kusama will launch their Polkadot versions soon. That's when the cash flow pours into DOT. ATOM is also a decent option, its ecosystem is growing fast too. Forget about Litecoin. It a shitcoin with the latest fake partnership with Walmart (https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/whats-stopping-the-next-walmart-litecoin-pump-and-dump-scheme/2021/09/13/6a11985a-14c1-11ec-a019-cb193b28aa73_story.html). AVAX is a good project but its time was in August. Cardano is just a hype and IOTA is just above average.

You know what, there's a project that all of the above projects and their ecosystems have to partner with, it's Chainlink (LINK). LINK involves with every aspect of DeFi. So future investment must be LINK.

I prefer DOT, AVAX and ADA, these three projects have pretty intense development, this seems like a good buy (based on my view, NFA). LTC is actually quite good, but because of the fake news circulating, there might be a slight swing in the LTC price, but if development continues, LTC still can be an alternative that you needs to pay attention for. I would choose Polkadot and Litecoin.

Polkadot is good and can be another Solana when their mainnet is launched successfully. Their testnet, Kusama achieves great success and the $DOT coin and DOT ecosystem only need the launch of mainnet to grow up together.

Litecoin is different. It is a very old altcoin and has long time of accumulation. I think Litecoin has good growth ahead. What news will help Litecoin to rise, I don't know but from the accumulation, I think it is finished already. Hodl it and wait for its break-out.

I would encourage you to go into AVAX, DOT and ATOM. These are the three platforms that enable smart contract deployment. There has been a flow of money into these projects to promote the development of the DEFI ecosystem.
AVAX was recently invested $230 million and was once mentioned by Vitalik as a good solution for cross chain.
ATOM is a project that has completed the infrastructure and is waiting for a boom when developers come.
DOT is still an unfinished project, but they are actively developing.
The above views are based on my understanding and subjective assessment. Hope you can dig deeper and make your own decision.

Polkadot and Cardano are my preferred altcoins already in my wallet for long term investment, I see they will have a bigger ecosystem along with development that is still ongoing, I am sure it will grow bigger in the future and have done some research before that I decide.

Actually there are other altcoins that have potential but I can only conclude that two of them will see what is being developed, and this could be a good thing once the mainnet is over.

Personally I prefer AVAX or ATOM, they are developing the Pangolin and Gravity DEX. I think DEX are the future of exchanges and these project somehow is on my list to be top gainers if ever there will be another surge or DEX bull season.

as long as it's still on the 100 cmc rank path I think it's still very good to invest but maybe the most possible thing for now apart from looking at the cmc rank is basically dot and cardano are very good hang options considering they are still one of the pretty good coins other than that, don't forget the old coin, namely ltc which is still strong enough to compete with new coins.
besides that maybe iota can also be used as an option considering that iota is now ranked 38 cmc (when I see it now).
the most important thing is not to try for obscure coins and don't get too carried away with the hype and fomo considering your huge amount of money to invest, it would be a shame to buy meaningless coins or shi*tcoins.

Of the several investment choices you mentioned above, the crypto fundamentals are good, all six are good and have been listed on several large exchanges. If you ask which of the following projects do you see as a big investment in the future, my feeling is ATOM but I don't know if it's true or not, my feeling is ATOM is the next Solana.

My answer depends on how long do you plan to hold any of these coins. You can choose all of them if you're selling before the year ends. It doesn't really matter since we're heading towards the last phase before the bear market starts. I will pick ADA if you're planning to hold until the next bitcoin halving. I'm sure you are already aware of the criticisms that they were late or doesn't deliver promise on time but you have to acknowledge their persistence. Alonzo is just the beginning.

I think ADA is a good choice, because I believe when the product from ADA is successful (mainnet), then of course the price of ADA can definitely increase very high and create a new ATH price again, so you can get a big profit from investing in ADA, moreover I'm sure if the product from ADA will definitely be a success, because ADA is one of the most popular cryptocurrency at this time and many people believe to investing in ADA for the long term, so that makes the price of ADA can continue to increase and survive.

very precise advice that if you really want to hold on to it then the right time is until the end of this year, where there will be a sharp increase, but after that there will be a correction again and we will remember 2017 to 2018. but if there is a change like the beginning of the year This 2021, of course why not, the increase will continue until Q1 after which the correction occurs.

ADA, DOT is among the ones with great potential for the long term because it can be seen that when the others are not moving but they are achieving renewable ATH, it means that the development carried out is quite successful so it deserves to be a noteworthy investment.

From the list, I prefer to invest in ADA, DOT, LTC, ATOM.
ADA, DOT, ATOM would be a strong candidate to be good for the investment while we know LTC is and old player in the cryptocurrency but LTC have a big chance to increase in the future.
Those three coins will compete with each other while ADA is now in a good position in the market so that ADA could lead the competition among those two coins.
You can invest in those 4 coins for each $4,000, so you still have $4,000 for backup if those four coins' price drops deeper.
I suggest you do not use all of the money to invest in those coins.

I'm absolutely bullish with XSN - the native currency of Stakenet. This project has solid fundamentals and an amazing team of developers. I strongly believe this project will going to have a bright future ahead.

Their upcoming Layer 3 Lightning DEX will going to make any transactions and settlements instant, fee-less, scalable, cross-chain, private, API supported and no wrapping. They are building a real BTC/ETH (and ERC20) bridge.

DOT is a good choise. It's from co-creator of ETH and it's growing fast and seems to try to six ETH's issues.
LTC is an interesting choise too but with late fake news i can't fully trust in it.

It is not recommended to invest in any project of altcoin in the initial stage, especially if the investment is large. This is due to the fact that the community was not established in the early stage of altcoin, the consensus is not clear, the project party may not have a large pattern, and the contract code is not It is confirmed that there is no problem with the deposit, so it is recommended to invest in mainstream currencies, or altcoins that have a long issuance time, a stable community, a safe contract and are optimistic about the future development!

Many suggestions have been given and most are ADA, DOT, maybe you OP can still invest in all coins you have mentioned, it's just that the percentage is lower than the coins that are recommended.
Now is the time for you to start investing and don't forget to save it in a hardware wallet because your investment value is high so having a hardware wallet is not a problem.

It's great to see someone doing extensive research before investing in a coin, and I agree about these choices. Perhaps diversifying into a couple of them is a good solution? I'll comment on some of these. I invested in IOTA a long time ago because the project itself is amazing. I was sure that at some point, with the growing concerns around the scalability issue, IOTA would finally gain the attention is absolutely deserves and become one of the top-5 coins. But that never happened, and now I tend to believe that it never will because people aren't willing to go through the difficult initial phases for the sake of a promising future, and because IOTA doesn't gain enough media attention. Then we have Litecoin, which is IMO pretty much like investing in Bitcoin, but a bit worse because it follows its patterns on a lower scale. I first invested in LTC when it cost $20 per coin and sold at $300, so it was quite a ride. Unfortunately, I could barely afford investing back then, so we aren't talking about profits that changed my life or anything. I still have a lit of LTC just in case, but I doubt it'll ever reach more than $1k-$2k. The project I feel strongest about in Polkadot. It's new, so it has more potential than those created many years ago that already went through all their pumps and dumps. It also has significant investments, attention of big market players and Ethereum co-founder behind it. I believe it can get to top-3 or at least top-5 by market capitalization, so if I had to choose one coin, that's the one I'd choose.

Congratulations for disposing shitcoins and only picking that have potential in the market, all the coins you've listed are worth investing they all have the potential, but wonder why Binance is not on your list and so is Solana, of all the coins in the top 10, Solana seems to be with a huge potential in the market and touted as the Ethereum killer, though they have to prove that they are worthy of that name, but since you don't want to add more and it's your final list I say Goodluck to your choice.

I think for that much investment I think it's good to invest in polka dots, from the list I feel that it has great potential for long-term or short-term investments. because there are so many new altcoins that have successfully partnered with polkadot. but that doesn't mean other altcoins don't have the same potential, so don't get hung up on my statement.

I think avax, dot and ada are the good ones among the list. Actually all are good but these what I mentioned have a wide ecosystem that could rival ethereum someday. Especially avalanche. Many are joining their ecosystem as they create a lot of way to expand their network to different chains like ethereum. Also they have some major dex that has huge TVL that contributed on their success.

I would add in Solana, UNI, CAKE, BNB, Matic with these as well. The list is good but with the ones I listed it will be even better. Don't get me wrong the list is great but it is limited and I would say if you have 20k then there should be even more coins.

Even the ones you and I listed together is not enough, there should be even more. Consider picking 40 coins, I know it will not be reasonable to find that many, but if you can do $500 per coin type of investment then you could actually be doing a lot better in the long run. Just put 500 each and forget about it and in 3 years there is a good chance it could be 100k+ total, 5x is not that weird in crypto world.

This is a list of great coins but however great any coin is, everyone have their own preferences.
Starting with ATOM, it has already moved and don't seems to be slowing down, and all that is needed is more work from the team and a scenario like SOL will or might play out, thus I see it good for both long term and short term. IOTA, internet of things, this is one of the ecosystem in this crypto space which is yet to be fully utilized and enhanced as little is being heard about them, thus IOTA is good for only those who are long term holders.
AVAX is yet another which I have seen attractive and most importantly the growth it has been witnessing for days now.
Thus from the list, my top three picks are ATOM, IOTA and AVAX. If I am to add another it would be ADA, the reason for not seeing ADA as one of my top three is that, whatever the team are working on is yet to be tested, thus some people might be sitting on the sidelines and waiting to fud it, if it doesn't meet up to expectations.

From this list my choice would definitely be a Polkadot. I think that it is one of the most promising projects. It will provide us with a big number of useful connectable projects, so we will use this platform and have access to many other projects on it. One more advantage of Polkadot is that it can run many transactions at the same time, as it uses several channels instead of one. Anyway, don’t put everything in one basket and diversify.

I would suggest using DeFi and yield farming. Buy Fantom or NEAR protocol and farm on spookyswap or Ref Finance. You can get even higher rewards from farming than staking. You don't have to worry about trading to make money because the funds are always coming in, no matter what. You can make money even in a down market.

Polkadot and Cardano in my opinion are suitable to be chosen as investment coins if it is not allowed to mention other names other than the six coins that you have written on the list. Cardano appeared earlier than Polkadot in Crypto and both coins have more value than other coins. 50% for DOT or Polkadot and 50% for ADA or Cardano.

The best thing is to divide into 2 types of investment namely long term and short term, for the long term portion of 40% I will invest in BNB, Polygon and Solana, and 60% for the short term I will buy new listed coins, a big daily profit opportunity makes I prefer to invest in new and cheap coins.
