Title: NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER Specifications might be confusing to customers
Post by: safar1980 on September 22, 2021, 11:53:32 AM
NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER Specifications
The full list of all four RTX 30 SUPER SKUs has been shared by kopite7kimi, a leaker who revealed the specs of NVIDIA Ampere GPUs more than a year before release.

Kopite revealed the specs of the missing three SKUs of the upcoming RTX 30 desktop series. It is worth noting that NVIDIA is also planning a refresh for its mobile GPU, in fact, we have just covered a leak featuring such SKU here, but those were not included in today’s leak. The desktop SUPER series is supposedly coming in early 2022, but the firm date has not yet been revealed.

I don't understand why a manufacturer should release new models of video cards.
Perhaps these models will not reduce the hash rate for Ethereum mining and they can be sold for much more.
Or use an even stronger hash rate reduction so that only gamers buy these cards.

It's for the bleeding edge consumers with more money than brains that must have the latest HW.
If it's new they will buy it regardless. How many times has the same movie or record album been re-released
and some people have every one.

As far as LHR goes I expect a new improved version targetting more algos.

NVIDIA is really doing all they can do to milk their customers. Some leakers suggest they do this to prepare the market for the new standard of TDP so they won't complain too much when the next-gen arrives. Hashrate probably won't be that much different but the price might be another story. Assuming RTX40 series launch at the end of next year, no one should buy this.

Don't get too technical.

If you can ROI it, then buy it.. ;)

Miners are in top of the GPU food chain  8)

I think Nvidia has given to the gamers what they wanted, the RTX 3070 ti,3080 ti which are always LHR and the new versions of Rtx 3060,3060 ti V2 LHR which is targeting that customer base.I think these Super versions should be free of LHR as the market has enough cards for gamers and their price consequently will be high as long as mining remain profitable.

I'm not sure if Nvidia will make new free of LHR video cards, because they will be competitors of the CMP series.
And such a policy will be stupid, perhaps the free of LHR will be only 3090 super.

I think nothing is stupid as long as it nets you more income. These cards if LHR free will generate another steam of income for Nvidia and we know companies like Nvidia are looking always for bigger profits. That would not be a direct competition as both type of cards will be sold massively to the general public, more of course to the mining public.

3060 super should be perfect and the other is fake super, doesn't need to exist if this actually real specs, they might be bump the price for 2-5% performance bump lol thats suck

It's the opposite, Super is supposed to be below Ti not above, so the 3060 Super is the one causing confusion.

Now clearly the 3070 Super and 3090 Super look useless (probably a bump in frequencies but still).
