Title: Bitcoin Poker Rooms

Hi everyone, I just created a new account here to learn more about bitcoin. I also like to play poker and I'm wondering if there are any good and trustworthy online bitcoin poker room out there? Thank you in advance!  :)

I know SwC Poker (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5068812.0) is the most reputable poker site here in the forum and last year they a poker championship series (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5236603.0).

Aside from SwC there's also nitrogensports (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355081.0), just be careful when playing poker in nitro since there used to be a report about collusion.

Here's a small list they all accept Bitcoin as far as i know, although I haven't personally tested all of them but i haven't seen any complaints about them here in the forum so you should be good.
Code:
https://coinpoker.com/
https://realpoker.net/
https://roundercasino.com/
https://swcpoker.eu/

Aside from SwC there's also nitrogensports (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355081.0), just be careful when playing poker in nitro since there used to be a report about collusion.
Yeah you should probably stay away from them (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=88706??)

Why are you just now wanting to learn Bitcoin, where have you been all this time, Bitcoin has almost been running for 14 years, but it's good if you want to learn it.

Are you serious about wanting to bet on gambling especially 'poker' if you like you can see in the thread below.

Topic: Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.0)

There you will find gambling sites that offer trusted poker rooms, either here or outside, you just look there and choose 1-5 gambling sites that offer top poker bets.

That does not surprise me. The problem I see with crypto poker sites is that if they don't have KYC, it is very easy to collude. If they have KYC, they lose much of the reason to play on them.

I would tell the OP to get informed and learn about Bitcoin, and to play poker on fiat sites. There is much more traffic, more types of games offered and it is extremely difficult for someone to collude, especially in the biggest sites like PS. You can use software, etc.

Then if he learns to play and earns money he can invest it in Bitcoin.

I also play online poker with a few mBTCs every now and then for fun. Over the years I have tried several providers, including those mentioned here so far. But I found Blockchain.Poker (https://blockchain.poker) the best so far.
The service is relatively uncomplicated to use. No verification or providing of personal data is required.

SwC is the only site that I know that's pretty reputable to play in because they've been in this platform for a long time and they don't have any standing accusations in those times so I can say with confidence that they're my recommendation for a website.

Some sites has been suggested you, you can use one of those. Bitcoin has been the best and most decentralized cryptocurrencies while others are altcoins, but I will advice to hold bitcoin than using it for gambling, but if you know how to make use of bitcoin with low fee, then you can make use of bitcoin too.

If the mempool is not congested, you can use bitcoin with low transaction

Never send bitcoin from exchanges because the fee is too much unlike noncustodial wallet.

From the sites listed on the suggested thread, which sites are offering poker room that he is looking for? I can not find even a single site that provides poker room on that thread. The thread is also focusing in giving information related to withdrawal, no specific information about the provide games by each site. It will make him confuse because he is new to this forum.

@Saterday_to_da_moon: Not many sites provide poker rooms, only few are existing and running with good traffic such as SWCpoker. It is one of the oldest and the most reputable bitcoin poker sites you may check and try. Good luck.

oh, yes I misplaced the poker room link on Bitcointalk.

Yes, you can suggest the OP, to review here, if he is new.

I would like to do a list where we could find all the Poker gambling rooms that accept Bitcoin. Please add the ones you know!

Betcoin
SWCPoker
Nitrogensports
https://luckyflop.eu
pokershibes.eu

Sadly, crypto is missing a good poker place... by a good place I mean different poker variations, a nice choice of tournaments and cash tables, and most important a lot of active players!
I guess people who just wish to play poker here and there without big excitement can try SwC or some other crypto poker place... but for real deal fiat poker places are a higher level! American cardroom is one of the good choices, they accept BTC since 2015!

Good luck!

Hey and welcome to the forum. Glad to see that you're keen on learning about Bitcoin.

For poker with nice round the table and sometimes free chips,  https://chipstars.bet/ is one to check out. If you also have a taste for video Poker then https://crypto.games/ is also fun. Good luck and gamble responsibly ;)

I'm surprised that no one mentioned betnomi.com. They have great poker section with daily free rolls, GTD tournaments and stuff. They were also running Bitcointalk Poker Series some time ago, which I won. :)
Apart from sites mentioned above, I would recommend Betnomi also.

SWC is by far ‘the best’ pure BTC poker site but sad to say, it sucks and it’s not up to par with your average fiat poker site in terms of traffic, game selection and software.

The best poker site that accepts BTC is GGPoker.  I know it’s not a pure BTC poker site but hey..  as long as BTC is a deposit option.

I might try this one, haven't played poker for about 2 or 3 months already and I am itching to spend some of my money on those tables especially now that some days in my schedule is already vacant.

It is a shame but this is the state of things when it comes to poker online with bitcoin, collusion is not an issue in most gambling games as you are paying against the house but once this becomes against playing against other gamblers then all kind of issues come up and collusion is the most important one, so while I will encourage the OP to learn more about bitcoin and all the benefits it brings it think it is a good idea for them to stick with fiat poker rooms.

@OP.

You have various suggestions about poker sites that you can have a table. The most popular is the one suggested swcpoker and that's what I also recall for the known poker sites that we have in the forum.

Have many websites already and that's already enough for you to choose the poker site that you want to try out.

Betnomi official representative in this forum is not active anymore, maybe this is the reason why no one is recommending betnomi. I do not see betnomi has enough players too at the moment, when was your last time playing at betnomi and how was the traffic?

We have to go in parts so: Check, bet and then the fold or maybe...allin.

Check:
The interesting thing about a crypto poker casino is its technology. Point. But that does not take away the excitement of the game at a Fiat casino, it is the reality.

Bet:
Depositing in crypto is an alternative in any Fiat casino today, Payeer or Skrill allow deposits in bitcoin and are the two traditional wallets that are in any Fiat casino, even in some crypto casinos.

Fold:
Recommending a crypto-based poker casino should only be done if you have played them recently and have had a real gaming experience and with all that it is complicated: The traffic could have changed, been worse or better. The same on rakeback situation. The software and benefits could have improved. Etcx2.

Allin:
I think I would lean towards one but I'm sure someone mentioned it just to say that he was a BTPS champion (sigh!!)

that is a btc poker site because it accepts btc and infact multi currency sites has an advantage and can gain more players than if they will choose only one crypto .
no wonder why there is less traffic in swc poker than in ggpoker .
a good amount of traffic is important in online multiplayer games such as poker so that the game can start imediately .

sportsbet.io is a great site, but there's no poker room there. I'm waiting for the reopening because it's one of my favorite sites, and I love poker.

I'm a regular player on Sportsbet but I'm not aware that there's poker game there besides the live casino poker offered by other software provider that typically player vs casino. Can you provide some link since I can't browse that part when I'm visiting there website. I usually play BJ and Sportsbetting there but never see that poker table.

^Considering SwC poker is quite good because they had a tournament here because and most reputable members played in this poker room.
However, FairPoker and BetOnline.ag was my poker room before when I consistently gamble and poker game is the most game that I usually like to play. I know they don't have promotions here aside from FairPoker, probably time will come Betonline.ag will have an interest to have an audience target it here. Nevertheless, there are too many reputable poker rooms and also here in the forum.

I haven't tried fairpoker and betonline but would like to know if I got time to gamble. Kindly share your experience on the poker rooms you just joined. According to what I think, i'd prefer swc poker and sportsbet.

SwC has been the most suggested site here and honestly I didn’t try yet to play on this poker site but since I saw this on thread the demand for SwC, I might try this one as well because I’m also looking for a good poker site. Its good to have a site that focuses more on the poker, let’s see if this site will be good to me, though I tried already to play on other site.

Yes, but unfortunately, he does not search for the detail of what he wants because if he does that, I am sure that he can get it and use bitcoin for gambling, plus how he needs to save his bitcoin in the other wallets.

I am sure he is a poker player who has skills playing poker games. I hope that he can get what he needs while staying at this forum to know many reputable gambling sites.

But at least there are enough inputs about where he should play, various SwC can also choose according to his needs and convenience in accessing it. What's more, the OP also needs to read the rules first so he can adjust if there are rules that don't suit him. Like KYC that is not listed, he also needs to pay attention.

Yep. There's not much of good poker rooms in the crypto gambling. Around half of those I've encountered were not worth playing on. They were either full of bots(which actually not that hard to beat, but it's boring as hell to play with them), or there were outright cheaters with several players(most likely form the site) colluding, or they were using awful software, constantly lagging, throwing you out in the middle of a tournament etc. I'm pretty sure when sportsbet.io reopens poker, it will be one of the best places around to play poker on.

Taking advantage of the OP space, I do not know if you remember the platform that had to be downloaded to play Poker, called BetcoinPóker, which every day had free tournaments and paid tournaments, I remember very well that free tournaments could be won up to 0.050mBTC, just by playing, does anyone know if they will return? or if there is a similar platform?
The platform worked 24 hours a day, and all tournaments could be entered simultaneously, I miss this type of opportunity with poker, of course everything was PVP.

I didn't check the site properly, I just opened it and took a fast look, but there are links to downloads of a Windows app and lots of ads about free bets and tournaments.
It wasn't hard to find, it's in the first google result, so I think you actually mean that the site may have services disabled, is that it?

From the above 4 mentioned sites, one is scam(gone) already which is bit-exo. Fair.poker is indeed a poker site but I can say that the traffic is ZERO, no one is playing there since long time ago. How about earnbet.io? Are they providing poker room as what is wanted by OP? I did a quick check but I cant find poker rooms. You have to update your thread first, check all the listed sites before suggesting it to others.

Guys, the good one is PokerTon.

It's based on specific cryptocurrency - FreeTON (TON Crystal) and main bot is in Telegram. But in other aspects it's really good.
Pros:
1. It has good connection
2. KYC Free
3. Good design and style
4. A lot of gamblers
5. Weekly freerolls

Cons:
Site and bot will know your telegram username. So it supposed to create another telegram account for this type of activity.

Hi everyone, I just created a new account here to learn more about bitcoin. I also like to play poker and I'm wondering if there are any good and trustworthy online bitcoin poker room out there? Thank you in advance!  :)

All poker sites mentioned here are trustworthy. Check on what site attracts you most. To help you decide, once you were able now to choose one, try to find their respective ANN thread for you to know others' feedback about the site. Good thing, you asked first here before jumping to other sites. It's a good habit.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your poker gambling journey.

Since you're probably new to crypto and crypto gambling altogether. I'd suggest you the same site that everyone does which is SwC Poker. The site is reputable enough to be trusted with your money and you can rest assured that no monkey business is going on with them. As a newbie, it is always important to secure yourself from the scammers and people who will try to trick you out of your money and steal from you. Try new things as you research and learn. That's the best way to stay safe and profit well in this industry.

Nitrogen had past issues with Collusion and I saw some people sharing and suggesting that site to OP. Not to ruin the business of everyone but the fact remains that we want to secure OP's safety while traversing the cryptocurrency world, especially in gambling. Might as well suggest sites that have been confirmed to have no bad records so we can ensure OP's funds aren't going to some evil dude's pockets.

Yes, in fact I reinstalled it days ago, but there are no more tournaments, about 1 year ago I also reinstalled it and I don't know if they were in betatest mode and when I entered a poker table it did not load and I was only in table.

I don't know if they want to reactivate it now, but really those tournaments were very good, in fact I asked them in their thread a long time ago what had happened to that part of poker, but they did not know how to answer.

I remember this platform very well. Several years ago it was one great site called Betcoin.ag, and there was poker room there with at least 12 freerolls per day, but probably more. Lots of GTD tournaments with good money added to the prize pool. I remember times when from 1 to 2 thousand people were playing online simultaneously, and I myself used to play there a lot. Then one day, about 4 years ago, the site split in two: Betcoin.ag with casino and sportsbook, which is a great and trusted gambling site to this day, and another one - Betcoinpoker.ag, with different owners. They changed the software to an inferior one, reduced the number of free rolls, and started losing players so quickly, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was still playing there from time to time, but at one point I withdrew the rest of my money and left the site for good.

I checked it today: the site is still there, but only 3 players registered for tournaments and no one is playing cash games. It used to be a great site, but now it looks abandoned.

I'm planning to play some time, hopefully I get to win some although I haven't played poker in a while so it's really a challenge to play when there's stakes in line.
You might want to try downloading a poker app so you can get back in shape, poker rooms are an unforgivable place, you don't want to get caught off-guard in those games especially if it involves real money.

There is no shortage of poker rooms and many other games that you may be interested in. I have seen others have given you a few IPs and sites, so I am just adding some basic advice: read carefully the terms and conditions. I know these tend to be lengthy but at least make sure you understand the fees and the minimum withrawals and any other term that may affect the financials. Other than that... DYOR as usual in crypto.

yes there are many apps about Poker in which you can find fits for your playing habits .  why need a Poker rooms when we have another option to play.

The OP's recommendations are very helpful properly analyzing the sites will increase the demand for them. But it is better to stay away from kyc they usually scam the poker room is good for casino play and has improved a lot.
nope , it is not that very helpful , there are best place to find and those are Poker Apps that you can play safely .

And be careful in crypto poker rooms that don’t do KYC.  Chances are, the security sucks and the games are infested by botters and colluders.  Be especially careful if the games are played at higher stakes.  The bull market made a lot of people rich and have a lot in disposable income rn.  Don’t waste it away.

Probably KYC are important on Poker room though many gamblers still don’t want this and wants to remain anonymous, well its really their choice since its their money though this is just a warning of course. SWCpoker seems the best option to play with and a trusted site, and a fairpoker as an alternative. Always know their rules and regulations so you can play peacefully and your funds will be safe from questioning.

Oh man, can't agree with your words. There is a real problem of luck good poker rooms in crypto. With minimalist design but looking good (how it was in SwC), balanced rake system, good amount of alive people on cash tables. SwC is nearly dead and some other site, like Sportsbet has awful poker rooms (because this is not their main activity).

But yeah, you should always read a ToS  :)

I totally agree with you, it used to be a great place to play poker on. In addition to what I said above, I just remembered that they were running free roll series where you could potentially win a $10k ticket to $1 million USD GTD event. I saw around 2 thousand people playing simultaneously in one of those tournaments. I myself finished in prizes(won ticket to the next stage) 2 times! But it wasn't enough, there were 5 or 6 stages. And I took the 3rd place in 1 BTC GTD tournament once! I was so happy. ...

Yeah, like you, I hope they'll be back with some good software and many tournaments and users on the site.

It's quite a fun playing over Swc as i remember they also used to have free bitcointalk events also where you could enter with password and then win good amount of profit if you were lucky.

The second one i recognised is Betnomi which was also doing the same and have many players to play and only few got the chance and there were different competitions also. From a long time I have not played poker but will resume the same soon.

Agree there are ton of apps now a days that you can play it for free so that you can feel it and also be comfortable of after a few years of quitting. Thats the best thing to do first before jumping or involved with money. Also there are website that will give you credits upon creating account or a signing up bonus which you can take it as an advantage to make you feel comfortable with the website

Zynga Poker is, in my opinion, one of the best poker apps available today; I use it when I want to play poker before going to real-money poker rooms. Of course, we need to sharpen up on our poker skills and memorize all of the card combinations in order to win the game. I'm sure there are many pros in poker, especially those who know when to call or fold based on the percentages of the cards they hold. It's a great risk to play in a poker room with money involved if you don't know how the game works; it'll only lead to defeat.

My advice is to choose one that is safe and reliable and makes it easier for us to do gambling so that we are also calm in doing it.

Yes, it's true. Many people in this thread suggested SwC poker. This site  has been staying in the business for a long  time, and I've never read anything negative about it. Apart from recommending the site for experienced players, I would recommend it for beginners too. There are always some no-rake low stakes cash games going there, as well as free rolls in the Tournaments section.

Zynga is a good platform with all the features you need, it can be a good way to warm up before a real money session but the dynamics are always going to be very different with a virtual chip game. People will play a completely different game if they are not losing any real money and you'll find a lot of people who simply play bad poker - going all in repeatedly and really breaking the game play. People play much tighter and consistently when trying to boost a real bank roll. Either way, you get a feel for the cards and odds, you'll occasionally find players who play a similar game, good for refreshing your memory as you say and it is some basic level practice.

Yes it is SWC poker was the first online poker room that exclusively using bitcoin for deposits and withdrawals so most probably many of the member here will really recommend this site also it is a good site to visit too for beginners. In my case, aside from SWC poker I have also tried Bovada and Nitrogen Poker and these two sites are good to play with too. Bovada known as the online gambling site for a two decades also a trusted legit online gambling while Bitrogen were just started in online gambling late 2014 but still a good site to visit too but among the three SWC poker was also my most recommended.

Yes, it is preferable to play on sites that do not utilize real money and to acquaint oneself with the gameplay and mechanics of poker before participating. It's the ideal way to prepare for reality; in fact, games like this are an escape from reality; you can play better or worse without worrying about anything. It's unwise to risk anything without knowing what's going on, so use an app like this to re-acquaint yourself with everything, including bluffing to win the game.

That's what I think too, but I prefer the reality to simulations. Zynga Poker, as @Fortify said above, "it is some basic level practice", with which I totally agree. But if you want to play real poker, don't hang out there for too long. If you don't want to risk real money while being inexperienced, you can do it using free rolls. I myself played thousands of tournaments with prize pools ranging from $0.10 to $10. Yeah, sometimes you win only $0.02 when after 2+ hours playing you finish ITM, but that's real money. Poker without them isn't real poker, imo.

So far, I think one of the best bitcoin poker site is SwC. I believe I already replied to an almost similar thread before. But to give a background, SwC is a bitcoin only poker site. From the description itself, bitcoin-only means the site only accepts bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal. Your bitcoin will be converted into chips that you can use on their website to play games. SwC is known to be a founder of the poker bitcoin only concepts because it was the very first one established. SwC has a nice rakeback and themes which make it enticing to play. You can also get your payout within 12 hours, which is not bad because the processing time of payout is pretty much considerable. However, the two things that are concerning is that it has lower traffic for a site an it has no declared license.

The issue of where you play poker with your Bitcoin just check SwC poker site as they will give more than what you are looking for.

Man, SwC is a dead site now. Many people had gone even before i left. Even despite pretty good rake system, SwC was bad at marketing and new people that bought it from previous owners didn't invest in site development at all. So for now, SwC can't give you nothing except of disappointment. Sad but true.

Hi everyone, I just created a new account here to learn more about bitcoin. I also like to play poker and I'm wondering if there are any good and trustworthy online bitcoin poker rooms out there? Thank you in advance!  :)

There are lots of good resources that you could find on the internet these days. I was also clueless about poker before because I wasn't used to playing cards before but I got curious about it so I tried downloading android apps where I could play it for free. I also watched youtube tutorials about the strategies on it. It was confusing at first but also fun at the same time. Just have the eagerness to search and you could learn about it easily.

Poker is not quite hard to learn but of course there's money involved on it still better to have proper knowledge and understanding regarding with game itself. It's ideal too to play I'm with the different casual games in application because they are both the same way how to play. Also ideal too watching videos and taking practice. If you want to learn more deeply I guess statistics and probability are good for this game too.

Not completely dead, at least there are still some players who are playing regularly on the site. I'm not playing poker game anymore in this crypto gambling industry, I have to admit that it is hard for me to find good site with good traffic. I prefer to play poker in local site where I can play against local people who have the same timezone with me.

There is no shortage of poker rooms and many other games that you may be interested in.

Sometimes there's a shortage due to the active players the room is already fully slot and you need wait for the slot. Not only the Swc is the supporting for this poker games there are a lot more. So why not have different options on it. Also before committing to a platform one of the most important thing is always visit the terms and conditions this helps their users how the platform works and rules.

~Yes, it is preferable to play on sites that do not utilize real money and to acquaint oneself with the gameplay and mechanics of poker before participating.

I played many freerolls as well, with higher upper range, and I think it's not the "real poker"! Too many people play too fast, all-ins every hand, tables changing all the time, the clock is ticking and blinds are rising too fast... I won/got in ITM many times, but I see it as pure luck to get to the last tables, only then get's to be "real poker", when 90% of players fall out!

Betwrong do you play poker these days? Where? I am like on some break from poker, I can't find an attractive place...

Hello
Well I checked online for the best sites apparently for poker people preferred:
CGpoker
Betonline
Coinpoker
Jazzsports
Nitrogensports
Ignitioncasino
 Source :  https://cryptomaniaks.com/best-bitcoin-poker-sites (https://cryptomaniaks.com/best-bitcoin-poker-sites)

There are pros and cons of various sites and therefore you must choose the one's that you are used to and check the reviews as well. Other than that people have already listed a lot in here.

I absolutely agree with you on that. When no real money involved, it's not real poker, so I think we can arrange poker games mentioned in this thread in this way:

1. Zynga Poker, or similar games, - no money involved at all;

2. Freerolls - no money paid for the game, but there's a prize pool, normally very small one;

3. Low buy-ins(below $10) - much better than freerolls, but similar to them sometimes;

4. $10+ buy-ins - real poker, with the exception of rare cases.

Betwrong do you play poker these days? Where? I am like on some break from poker, I can't find an attractive place...

I'm kinda on a break too, because I play once in two weeks, or even more rarely, but one $10-$15 buy-in tournament per week is in my plans for the nearest future. SwCpoker is the place.

It would be nice if we have a regular poker tournament for bitcointalk members, but for sure there should be a sponsor from a specific bitcoin poker site like the one held by betnomi some time ago. I did not participate unfortunately due to timezone difference that makes the starting time not really friendly to me.

Yes, fundamental level practice is necessary, and I agree since people there are just having fun; there is sometimes no seriousness, and people just act without thinking. But, yes, I mentioned it so that people are reminded of how things work in poker before playing IRL poker for money. Alternatively, if there are poker rooms with low stakes, you might spend your time there before moving on to the higher stakes rooms to build or recover your poker knowledge and mechanics.

We also had four, if I'm not mistaken, great Bitcointalk Poker Series sponsored by SwC Poker last year. Those were great times! I hope they will return again.

Yeah, low stakes rooms are the closest thing to "real poker" imo. Actually, I've never seen a poker site without some low stakes cash games or tournaments with low buy-ins. So, they are always there for beginners to practice.

Maybe one casino can announce a bitcoin poker game in their site and invite all gamblers from here to register and start playing poker. Besides announce the poker game on their site, they can make a thread with the player list from here so we will know who is that the poker player. I think that will be excited if we can invite them as we know that we have a pro poker player here to join on that events. Who knows, we can learn from them to improve skills in poker game.

I immadietely thought of a good gambling room when you asked that. there are some good ones but I like SwC poker the most and I think many also like this gambling room. it's the first room I know in doing gambling and I think it's pretty good. some people have suggested you a good gambling room, you can choose it. My advice is to choose one that is safe and reliable and makes it easier for us to do gambling so that we are also calm in doing it.

You are right, for me the main thing is security, it is not pleasant to play on platforms that turn out to be a scam and you lose money and time, SwC is a very good platform, although as I say, sometimes I do not find a platform totally like it What I want and that I had mentioned before how betcoinpoker was, some time ago a casino that unfortunately things went wrong, they made a good tournament where many members of the forum were part of it, but I do not know what happened that later became a fraud, These things usually happen when something goes wrong, perhaps it is for this reason that I always trust the most reputable casinos, whenever I want to play I go to stake and play videopoker, but honestly you need a good site where PVP is always played and has many options to enter, with money or not.

SwC is a very good platform,

Let's say it again: SwC is dead. Those who bought the site from previous owners is not interested in anything except making money from rake and fees. So SwC decreased in numbers of players. No one from old players I know doesn't still play on this site. It's an end game for SwC.

Previously i have played many poker tournaments on SwC and was lucky to win some rounds also and participated in the free bitcointalk freerolls also but after that i also take a break from all this and have not visited the site from long time and no discussion about them as well so most probably the user base has declined for them as well. This is the rule that if you don't go with the trend you will not survive the market for long term and usually will end up your business.

For some of us, it's definitely dead! But what's left then? Where to play casual only-crypto poker?

A few of them are not available in my region (Ignition, Bovada, Bodog), Nitrogen and SWC are not so interesting... BetOnline poker was good before, but I didn't play a lot there for some reason, anyone knows how it's there now? Probably Americas Cardroom is the best option at the moment...
Juicy Stakes is a new name for me, anyone tried this casino?

There's quite good number of online players on swcpoker and I think they're the bitcoin poker site that has this much. Like the others who keeps on talking about swcpoker.
There have been a quite good number of active players and if the company decides to have another marketing, I think that they can increase the numbers in due time.

can we find a ranking and comparison with many of the poker websites that accept crypto or where you can compete for cryptocurrencies? (bitcoin or others)
are these all with Texas Hold'em or other game styles too?

There are plenty of lists that are showing the differences of each bitcoin poker site. But it's surprising to see that while most of the people here is suggesting swcpoker.
Those lists that you can search on google doesn't include it, those lists that are on the top searches. So if you go and search for them, you're likely to see the others that haven't been mentioned yet.

Are you saying that there still individual who are yet to know about around the world again. I was wondering why you should asked where he has been all the while for up to 24 years of Bitcoin existence. If everyone around the world are now aware of Bitcoin we shouldn't have been talking of Bitcoin price around $64k again if we are to be truthful to our selves.

Hey @Saterday_to_da_moon, welcome to the forum!

Well, I would like to share some information with you.

These are some of the sites I know (although I've never used them)
SwC Poker - https://swcpoker.club/
Real Poker - https://realpoker.net/
CoinPoker - https://coinpoker.com/

Don't make a decision about what I said, I'm not an expert on this subject, but I think it's interesting that you also consider the opinion of other users, because consequently, they have a much more in-depth knowledge than I do.

I hope I helped you!  :)

Just as what I've said earlier, it's better to have all of them checked before proceeding on what you've chosen as your poker site to go. Always be picky and get to research what's with these lists. If it's unfamiliar, check their background and the bias articles could be just paid by those scam poker sites that have a negative background and history of scamming.

I only got to play SwC for a short time before it got shut down but it was amazing to see a poker site with a strong fan base dedicated to crypto - nowhere else seems to have come close and maybe the skyrocketing price of Bitcoin puts very strategic thinking poker players off gambling with their coins. Somewhere really needs to make it easy to buy Bitcoin with fiat as easy as an exchange and that would break down one barrier stopping players. However it will cost a lot of money or some very savvy marketing to draw in enough players to keep going - poker sites can very quickly die off unless you can keep them busy 24/7.

I don't think everyone in the world will ever know about bitcoin (but that's another case)
In case everyone in the world knows about bitcoin then it will be the primary mission of countries in power to take over bitcoin, Which they can till now easily but still haven't, i wonder why.

Around me most of the people i see play cards using real cash and pay some fee in clubs which they won't be playing online.

totally agree with that
there are clear signals of scams too you can look on websites and that appear over and over
sometimes the website is clearly scammy, other times it's just shady (and of course some other times it is ok)

always a good idea to do your own research to verify and ask people that used it

I haven't been following the BTC poker scene for a while, so I would have thought that SwC would still be the best alternative out of everyone here.

I wouldn't be comfortable with using NitrogenPoker either for the issues that they had... And Bovada has recently announced the end of mBTC denominations. This is a sticky situation indeed.

Yep man, SwC is almost dead (at least if we compare it with the times like 1 year ago). So for now the best poker rooms is pokerstars net, but here we have one problem: it doesn't accept Bitcoin  :(

Whatever, you can try it by yourself, maybe amount of people which still their will be enough for you

It is a proof that fiat based poker site is still popular compared to crypto poker sites. Here in my country, there are many poker players who play in various sites and the number of active players is much more better than what I can see in SWC. I'm not really sure why, I have no idea why the traffic of crypto poker sites is not able to increase or at least compete with fiat poker site.

Maybe that is because the number of crypto poker sites is not many if we compare with poker sites based on fiat as people already know much about the poker site use fiat. They consider that crypto is a new thing for them and it needs time before they can fully understand how to use crypto to bet and search for reputable crypto poker sites. But with the growth of crypto itself can attract many crypto casinos to have poker games on their site to attract more people who use fiat to try crypto.

Traffic could increase, but there is no such poker crypto sites. And this is weird. There a lot of slots and dice plus crypto books, but there is no good poker lounge.

Lack of incentives, like a good RB program and a nice rewards store.  Lack of a marketing plan.  Lack of planning by poker site owners that it’s best to build a poker economy by establishing the micro stakes games first and let players move up and build the small stakes games from there and so on.  It goes back to having a good RB program and a rewards store.

All of this just because of people who bought SwC from previous owners just interested to make money from site. They bought it and they will monetize it untill it die. The main problem is that poker site it isn't house or land - you can't just get money from it forever until you die. Any site need all what you're telling above. Or it will die, sooner or later. This what happened to SwC.

It's that many are still liking the traditional online poker. But soon, there will be an enormous growth in the crypto poker scene. When they get to ride the hype and be in with being cool with the usage of crypto for poker, many will jump into this ship.
It's just a matter of time that we'll see a lot of new crypto poker sites that are going to be popular, only a few we know and there's not that much tables and players are in it.

Indeed. It is about a matter of time for crypto poker sites to become popular among poker players as it still needs a developer's development. Of course, the promotion factor will be necessary to introduce that the crypto poker games are available for them in crypto gambling. When crypto poker games can become famous, maybe that will be the time for the traditional fiat online poker players to move to crypto and feel the new experience of using crypto to play poker games.

As for now in my opinion it unlikely that everyone around the world are aware of Bitcoin existence already. You know, some people always believe that the level of their awareness are same or should be the same with other people around the world which is not so.
Some people do not become aware of bitcoin existence because they still do not have an awareness of the technology or what happens to the internet. So that makes those people does not know anything about bitcoin. But it makes the young people who always use the internet see the bitcoin promotion from many media. Young people are actively using the internet so that makes them have a big intention to try or search for what they do not know and somehow, some of them are involved in the gambling industry by playing many gambling games.

Knowing about Bitcoin is one thing and believe in it that is something worth investing is another thing entirely. Young people who actually make use of the internet must have seen one promotion relating to Bitcoin or Altcoins but in might not be on a good note because there are so many scam site advertising their services in Bitcoin and Altcoins related stuff and that is in a bad light. We should equally be reminded that it is not only people that comprise the whole world.

I find concerning the lack of popularity of poker in the market of cryptocurrencies, after all it is obvious that gambling is a very good match for a decentralized form of money as we can gamble with some level of privacy that is simply impossible to obtain with fiat, and at the same time we can see how big and powerful some casinos in this market have grown, however poker just remains stagnant, I wonder if this is because of the nature of the game, since you need other people to play against or it is because no site has been able to reach critical mass and become so popular that it becomes the place to go when it comes to playing poker with cryptocurrencies.

If they stop searching for other information about bitcoin, they will not find the truth but they will miss the opportunities to have a new investment that may be worth their lives in the future. Those people need to find out more details about bitcoin to think that bitcoin can be their way to have a new source of income besides their main works. Who knows, after they know bitcoin and try to invest or do other things related to bitcoin, their mind will change and they will not think that bitcoin is a scam. But if that is about playing crypto poker, they should stay away from that because that will not help them make money.

Perhaps the current owner is not having much money to do marketing or promotion to make swc become bigger than before. It was one of the most active bitcoin poker site but now it looks like a new site with no good plan to survive and to get better/bigger. Yes it seems that it will die sooner unless there is a big change in the management who can manage the site better than what they have at the moment.

It's just normal to have it seen like that because many are still in the fiat poker and they're all loving to be there. But once they've started to get involved with crypto, soon they might also be focusing in crypto poker after knowing that there are tables available for them.

Now in this pandemic situation, I don't feel like going to casinos because I'm already used to playing online casinos, and it's just as enjoyable. Virtual gambling establishments are a great alternative to land-based clubs. The rapid development of online gambling is the result of technological advances and the widespread prohibition of gambling. And besides, no matter where you are, at any time, you can get together with your friends and play on the Real Money Online Casinos (https://www.casinoslotsmoney.com/). I play in the casino because we play slot machines or roulette when we get tired of playing poker. The variety of games is excellent.

To tell the truth, you may be promoting the site or not, but I would go for the safest casinos, which have an excellent reputation and I know that they would respond to possible problems that may arise, I know many friends who have tried their luck In online casinos that are not so well known and have ended up scammed, I am not saying that the site is a scammer, but for poker I like the version that stake.com has a lot, especially video poker, of course at stake.com you get variety of games that are introducing new ones every time

this should probably be true since most of the players/people know how to deal with fiat systems better than with crypto systems
even though crypto is an interesting system it's still quite neach
it didn't even reach >10% penetration on the world as a technology yet

ChipStars (https://chipstars.bet/) is a nice place for poker, rather relaxing.

Their payout as far as I tried and know of is on time and never had any issues. At the beginning they used to advertise for free where people could join the rooms for free and get the reward, it might have changed slightly now but still something to check out for sure ;)

But if some people still want to test the new site because they are curious, that will be up to them but they need to be responsible with their money.

everest poker had a similar system where you could join a free tournament and win a small prize like 2-10 usd, then you could join the next tier on the tournaments like 2-5 usd entry and win a bigger prize, maybe 2x-10x the entry amount,
I've heard of people who build up from there and now live off playing poker only

This is one of the things I have wondered for a long time, the gambling industry is incredibly successful in this market and we know this is true as there are many casinos that are incredibly popular and that are getting a lot of profits.

However poker has not gained the popularity that I have been expecting, maybe it is because poker it is not as popular as it was back then when it began to be aired with regularity on sport networks, or maybe the kind of people that is attracted to the world of cryptocurrencies do not have too much of a preference for a game like poker, but whatever the case, something is happening that is limiting the growth of poker as a popular game in the market of cryptocurrencies.

Every poker site has this feature (freerolls). The main problem is if the site doesn't have much players to play. So there will be not much sense in freerolls, because tiers above (with bigger buy in) will be empty or close to it. This what is SwC looks like now (and semi-empty cash tables)

There are always high expectations regarding new sites, especially if the new sites offer PVP game, I particularly like playing poker that way much more, and I think that most players are waiting to see how they work. new sites, how trustworthy your platform can be and is it worth the risk of the deposit.

In any case, as they have said previously, the sites that have already been reviewed and are safe by confirmation of the forum members are the most reliable.

yes, most of the users are not that cautious when trying out new things and this is quite important
even online security is quite underestimated for new users, like the basic, not using the same email + passwords, etc...
we have a long way to go.

agree with you about not being a problem to try out new casinos but people should always be careful about their information and data

of course not  ;D More like vice versa: crypto poker rooms are very close to hear something like "omae wa mou shindeiru" (c), he he.
In the same time, pokerstars (i don't know about everest) is in 100 times bigger and have a lot of stuff to do. This is not funny, rather sad that poker on crypto is not so famous as on offline.

Well, when will we finally get the tournament together? and most importantly on which platform? I could think about looking for sponsors, but in this case, you need to consider a completely neutral playing field. By the way ... just think! The first tournament was organized long before Laszlo paid 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas, and if I'm not mistaken, this poker tournament took place even before the community accepted the Thai baht as the official bitcoin symbol.  :D

The "Worlds First Sudo-Anonymous Online Poker Tourament" was played with much success. [...] Total Prize Pool 1200 bitcoins (4 'real' players)

1st - dwdollar - 600 BTC
2nd - theymos - 325 BTC
3rd - BitcoinFX - 175 BTC

I would propose PokerTON, it has pretty good poker rooms, but in the same time it accept only TON (Everscale) and have some problems with withdraws. So i doubt that we find needed platform.

So i think the next tournament will be like... never  ;D

Nothing wrong with trying a new casino from time to time, however the problem I see most of the time is that instead of being cautious and just deposit a small amount of money on their wallets and see if they like the games and the promos the casino offers, many newbies deposit a lot of money on their accounts, and while this is not a problem with honest casinos we also know there are some casinos out there that are managed by dishonest owners which will keep that amount of money and scam the customer, and even if the community does its best to warn users which are part of the community and other people looking at their posts about this, there is nothing they can do to recover the money which was stolen.

yes, most of the users are not that cautious when trying out new things and this is quite important
even online security is quite underestimated for new users, like the basic, not using the same email + passwords, etc...
we have a long way to go.

agree with you about not being a problem to try out new casinos but people should always be careful about their information and data

People nowadays once they saw someone earning with the gambling platform they are trying to convince themselves to make a gambling play too. Still it is more ideal to check the reputation of the gambling platform because to be part of them its better to see the review of other people even though its just a small amount its better to make sure that you're credentials and assets are safe to their platform.

In regards to this, people’s desire to win and acquire money instantly is what drives them to jump right in without even considering these things that have been repeatedly mentioned like reputation and credentials of the casino and its management. It is undeniably the newbies who are being caught up in such situation, and maybe only through experiencing the unfortunate by themselves will they realise and learn their mistakes and misconceptions when it comes to gambling. It is just too bad to learn the hard way, so I hope newbies will be more curios and cautious on what must be done.

Welcome to the forum. It's a great place if you are interested in crypto currencies and gambling. If you are looking for a full crypto poker room I can recommend you SwC Poker. It is not a big casino but there are always players around looking for a poker game. In case you want to play a particular limit table and there is nobody playing right now, you can just sit down at the table and wait for 1-2 people to show up.
Alternatively almost all of the big casinos all you to withdraw money in cryptos. I also play on GG Poker for some time now, they have great deposit bonuses and money can be withdrawn quickly in bitcoins.

Newbie's are very well welcome to the forum and it's definitely a good decision to join in the forum to get a legit information regarding crypto discussion or even gambling and likes. With a lot of phishing sites and not legit sites that circulating all over the internet it would be hard to find which link are good to open or not. In terms of crypto poker room I would also recommend SWC poker too it is my favorite poker site and it is a bitcoin-only website that's mean you can only use bitcoin to play with it.

You are right, I have met some people who are new to the forum but have great experience in gambling, some are real life players in traditional casinos, and they bring their experience to online gambling, especially for poker each person has his own style, based on experience I think his game is much more efficient and if it is totally applicable to crypto.
I have read some books about poker, and I have also played with people who had never read or anything, but have a vast knowledge, I think it is also a matter of talent.

probably crypto-only websites are way more niche than the big ones like everest and pokerstars, right?

of course not  ;D More like vice versa: crypto poker rooms are very close to hear something like "omae wa mou shindeiru" (c), he he.
In the same time, pokerstars (i don't know about everest) is in 100 times bigger and have a lot of stuff to do. This is not funny, rather sad that poker on crypto is not so famous as on offline.

haha had to google this reference since I don't speak japanese (and I haven't heard of it before even though it's famous)

did some research and seems like everest has around 4k players everyday and Pokerstars, 15k, not so huge difference

<...>

Still it is more ideal to check the reputation of the gambling platform because to be part of them its better to see the review of other people even though its just a small amount its better to make sure that you're credentials and assets are safe to their platform.

so, nothing new under the sun
people are more interested in shortcuts to make fast money than in doing research and getting rich slowly
seems like it is like that for decades now, right?
In "the richest man in Babylon" written before Christ there were some warns about that already.

What happens is that people still do not understand that bitcoin and the fiat system are completely different in nature, people are so used to the protection that banks give them that they are not careful with the way they conduct themselves online and the transactions they make, so when if they make a mistake and get scammed with their fiat then the bank can enter the stage and recover that money for them, but this is not possible in this market and many do not realize until it is too late this difference, but by that time there is nothing that can be done to recover the money they lost.

Well you have mentioned those reputable gambling poker casinos that commonly I used to. It is better to have all accounts of them and visit which one has many players online because sometimes there are poker rooms that don't have players, you need to wait further time before there is a player. If you have other accounts on different gambling casinos, you can find which of them or which room that is good to enter.
However, if you also play poker that is against the house edge perhaps that is an interesting game that is also based on luck. Just try it.
