More than thousand cryptos with their own blockchain are running around but to be I can only see Cardano and Solana to be a better version. People following crypto since 2015 might have fall or many crypto projects. What do you think about Solana? I would like to learn more from people of this forum

Solana cannot allow users to set up a node easily and neither can Cardano. So far, Solana's network has had two outages. Cardano still works well with the supernodes they create.
Regarding the method of creating smart contracts on these two platforms they are completely different from Ethereum but all of them are difficult and unpopular languages.
Cardano is trying to create Haskell-based lingo. Solana uses Rust, a language that requires a high level of developer skill.

Solana is great for the long term as well. As far as I follow the development they are very extraordinary from anything, can even adjust the current trends, such as DeFi, NFT, etc. They never miss out on big projects like ethereum and bnb. However, solana needs more support in order to really be seen by everyone.

i will not call it the ethereum killer but I have a strong believe that solana will do perfectly well. the price will hit about 500USD before decemeber. to be honest, I think this is the time to accumulate solana. i am rooting for solana to reach High price of over 1000usd before decemeber. it is not late to join for whoever that missed out in the early stage.  i

Well, cardano and solana, both of these coins are having hype from the whole community as we see a lot of hypes from different coins or sub-chaina. So it’s just one of those and eventually this hype will slow down when other sub-chain or ecosystem will take that place. But both are good for long term perspective as well.  :D

Solana obviously is the best as we move ahead but we cannot take away Ethereum, the reason behind the success of Solana is the solution it has find to the problem of scalability, the 80% validation rules ensure the blockchain doesn't become centralized and behaves in a decentralized way, therefore, is absolutely secure, and the third best thing is the speed of transactions, it actually is the only blockchain which I can say can really be used as a medium of exchange because it takes less than a minute for Solana transaction to be confirmed which is really awesome. It did had a couple of outages this month, but if you deep dive into the reason of these outages you would realize these problems happened because of the inherent structure of Solana which keeps it quick, even though moving ahead devs should obviously try to reduce these outages. In terms of comparison with Ethereum, I think only time will tell, Ethereum 2.0 needs to come in time to compete with Solana otherwise it could easily take the lead.

There were a lot of blockchains that claimed that they would replace Ethereum, and what do we see now? Ethereum is still number one, because of Proof-of-Work it is much more safe compared to Solana that works on Proof-of-Stake. Maybe you see Cardano and Solana everywhere because of their recent pump, but I don't think that people will completely switch to one of them.

the solona network recently stopped suddenly, the price fell quickly because there was a market correction, reportedly the ETH network has just started to improve, if you think about solona coin it's good time to buy at this time of market correction.  it's going up again since solona has been in the news recently.

Both of them it's the best Ethereum alternative beside BSC, Solana itself offering tons of benefits and it was simple, Higher TPS (50k+), Cheaper Transaction fees and more flexible Smart-Contract Programming (From what i read on the other discussion) and it will making more wider scalability, Cardano itself it's good too but i think solana it's much better.

Solana chain was a good chain coz it was fixing all of problems that happened with the old blockchain like ethereum. ADA was also a good platform but it's not better as solana. Solana was offering a new ecosystem that more scalable on its TPS. The problem is just because it can load big transactions and it makes the blockchain to be stopped. That's quite strange to see that. If there's a lot of nodes and this may not possible to happen as long as there are still active nodes in the network. SOL can be considered as a new version of ethereum but almost all of smartcontract projects were also fixing problems of ethereum.
The tech that already brought by solana was not a new tech.

I think Solana will do alright but projects that try and partner with Ethereum and scale Ethereum, like NEAR and Aurora will do better than projects trying to kill Ethereum. That said, if you are still trading or farming on Ethereum you are stupid or a whale that doesn't care about throwing thousands of dollars in ETH away for mining fees. It's better to farm on Solana or NEAR protocol- Ref Finance or even on Fantom or Celo for that matter.

 Solana is a growing fast blockchain and on CARDANO blockchain will also perform well in coming days, Solana blockchain projects getting good success and many projects coming on Solana blockchain, I hope will be along with Ethereum and will rival of Ethereum.   

Solana is more hype and less work. They have rebounded from last weeks crash but they still not have a ecosystem good enough for people to switch. As newer platforms with better speed and fees are coming with easier development, a lot of people are still stuck with older ones. So, it would be difficult for any new projects to gain attention of developers as there's a though competition and a better one comes out every day. Till they fight, Ethereum is going to go strong but in long run the newer platform that attracts the most developers is going to win.

Its true that the market were going through hype in the recent past and some project has gained enough from this time .SOL is on of the coin which has shown a lot of potentiality and also get a good hype that's why it has gone so far within short time .I strongly believe that SOL is a great project with a great ecosystem and well developed.Team are working hard to established project so that it climb the top position but it will really impossible to replace eth in near future .Lets see how it will move in the upcoming days .

I have seen the price of the cryptocurrency solana (SOL) in recent times attracting the interest of crypto asset investors.
What's wrong with Solana?
When the market trend is correcting, the stock price of the SOL currency continues to increase.
Perhaps one of the reasons for Solana's skyrocketing price is that the blockchain project that is the center of the crypto asset continues and the results are increasingly visible.
So the Solana blockchain project is claimed to be the fastest blockchain in the world.

Every project's doing the best efforts to be in the top list, but none's gonna be the ethereum killer or same like that because every new projects has their extra feature along with smart contract support. So blind users will always say, next ethereum killer and other stuff like this to create fomo among the newbies. So lets wait and see, how long solana or other projects will keep the hype or gonna keep the bullish momentum for long run by increasing the adoption.

I'm expecting next 1-2 years to be bullish for Solana and if devs make to stable release and several useful projects get on this ecosystem then it could run for next 5-7 years with increasing price.

For now I would consider both sol and ada a good option of eth although they have some limitations, recently sol network experience a serious breakdown (I know it can happen to any network) but it goes to show that the network still have some work to be done to actually be in the level of eth in near future,  they are doing good but more work needs to be put in.

Most modern blockchains use some form of PoS. But Solana's biggest competitor is Ethereum, which still relies on PoW – though it's in the process of switching to PoS.

You can assume anything you want in the crypto world, but that doesn't mean it will be right or wrong. Solana is a great product, it is a great project and it would definitely run all of ETH on its blockchain without increasing the gas fee at all, but none of this means that it would be second ranked coin in the future. However, it also doesn't mean that it will suck neither. We are talking about things in crypto that are totally incalculable because it is not something we could predict.

We have seen doge which was a joke to begin with to make people laugh become 5th biggest coin for a while this year, it has a horrible blockchain and it was a pure joke and still somehow got attention, and we are talking about amazing projects that do not even go to top 10. We also have great projects in top 10 and have horrible ones crash to zero as the common thing of course. All in all nothing about SOL can be predicted just yet, we need to wait and see.

There’s also a lot of people who get trapped on top because of the hype, so not everyone makes money. Anyway, SOL can really work along with ETH, it can compete and there’s a chance that it will be next to ETH but I don’t think this project can really replace ETH since we also anticipate for ADA to beat ETH and yet they failed to do so, its better now to work together because they can’t really replace ETH.

Apparently, the reason for Solana's recent outage for hours is that it's still running on it's test version - still not an excuse though.

To be fair, in my view both Cardano and Solana still have a long way to go to even come close to the activity performed on Ethereum. They are good alternatives but still in their early stages.

You can't say Cardano is ready when the upgrade for smart contract deployment has only just been launched. The proper stress test hasn't even began yet.

There's potential as much as there's work to do.

Yes, there are many blockchains but if you notice, a lot of them must have started on the Ethereum blockchain, however because of how outstanding the Ethereum blockchain is, they are all finding it hard to beat it till date. Starting with ADA blockchain, sometimes it gets congested and one will ask if it is capable of challenging the Ethereum blockchain, even Solana some days ago had issues with their network thus still proving that Ethereum is more effective and efficient than them.
Asking, about Solana, it has proved itself through the massive growth it experienced so far this year alone, and currently a lot of projects are building on it which will lead to more growth. Also, owing to the fact that DeFi and DEX are still coming back gradually, Solana might be the centre of attention soon because it's evident the blockchain is attracting more good projects. Nevertheless, more blockchains are stepping up such as Fantom, and the competition in the coming months will be a good one, which will be good for Solana as it is already leading in that aspect.

Can't deny that Solana is performing so well which might a thing to consider in choosing a project for investment. I can't say that it will compete with Ethereum closely or it keeps that momentum for long but at least we are seeing the new coin, a new project that is somewhat potentials and in fact, only a few of them have this kind while many were just shit.

therefore, I could say that Solana is a better market prospect but don't expect much for this, we are still not sure about its future.

With Solana's current price, I can see it Bullish.
The important thing is that Solana Network does not stop like we saw some time ago, if it continues then the price of solana will go down as we saw today.
But if you look at the development of the SOL price, the price increase is happening so fast, and I don't expect this to be manipulation by the whales

Yep, I think that's why these alternatives Ethereum networks starting to become popular because Ethereum users are indeed having a hard time with transaction fees, look how these PoS networks boomed recently specially Solana.

I don't think also Solana or other POS networks will flip Ethereum, what can I see is Ethereum is too far from other POS networks, so I don't think so that it makes sense to make a comparison since Ethereum still has a lot of upcoming updates.

They're good but with eth continuous developments like the upgrades they're doing I guess solana can't beat their worth. Though they had been showing us a great times, that won't be an assurance for us to loss support on established coins because they're more reliable compared with altcoins. Sol, needs more efforts to compete along other coins in the market and it might take several years to do it.

Solana had a DDoS attack on it's network and was down for hours. That's the weakness. If it FUDs in the future that's the reason.

ETH still on top SOL though have that good chance to work alongside with ETH andother alts such as BSC and ADA where
chain is mostly used by the developers, just need to have more positive updates to bring more end users to trust the system.
With more support coming from both developers and investors this system will continue to grow and succeed.

Actually I'm sure you know more about Solana than us. As a newcomer in Cryptocurrency, Solana deserves better because Solana develops so fast. Even though he had a problem some time ago, Solana managed to overcome it and in my opinion Solana was very worthy of being a long-term asset...

Maybe we need to give more time to SOL to grow and if their project is really good, I am sure SOL will be bigger than now and it can have a chance to compete with ethereum. SOL now is like ethereum at the start so their team needs to reach every phase of their project and that will need time doing that. If he really believes SOL can become bigger in the future, he should buy SOL from now on and hold it. Otherwise, he can buy Cardano, which has a low price compare to SOL.

Solana is now one of the most quickly programmable blockchains in the crypto world. It's also one of many coins being considered as possible successors to Ethereum's (ETH) throne.

If we look at the beginning of entering the stock market, we must admit that there has been a very surprising development. that the sol is increasing rapidly and is in great demand by investors. but can it replace ethereum in the future? it may or may not be, because it still takes more time to be able to prove it and there is still a long way to go for such an acknowledgment.

With the development that Solana is undertaking at the present, and with the continuous demand from its newly investors, who knows in the long run, Solana will beat ethereum and will take the lead. I think there is only a need for more recognition of Solana so that it will be more visible to the community. Because i know Solana is a complete package already. Solana became one of the most talked project last couple of months and many investors have said that it is good to invest in Solana I feel bad about not grabbing the chance to make my investment in this project at the time where Solana's market price wasn't yet skyrocketing now as what we can see on the market performance of Solana is that it is doing a great development. I think the aspect of more recognition of Solana so that it could be more visible in the community was effectively activating now since everyone have had seen that this project is definitely good and maybe in the long run Solana can beat ethereum.

The current development of Binance is almost identical to the movement of Ethereum when it first appeared. Everyone was hunting for Ethereum back then because people's ability to invest in Bitcoin was a bit hindered due to the high price.
If at this time there are still people who are not convinced that Binance will be a good asset for long-term investment, then that person does not understand very well how the development of the crypto world is currently.

To my knowledge Solana is very good, a good ecosystem too with a high level of support from all managers which is quite consistent. The level of shipping costs is cheap, fast and efficient. I don't know how long this will last but the fact is as we already know wanting to replace Ethereum is very difficult and will not be as easy as one thinks.

The name of the last coin you question, Solana, is very interesting to discuss. For me Solana is an altcoin that can be used as one of the right altcoins to invest. Maybe the function and focus of Solana is very important because it is able to accommodate large-scale transactions as I read on coinmarketcap although some time has passed, Solana is reported to have had problems with it.

It's true, bro, it can't even be denied that the Solana blockchain is very good at the moment, but we need to know that the development of the Solana coin can't be separated from the ethereum chain too, so if it's to compete with ethereum I don't think it's possible, because ethereum is a very popular coin and  have a strong market influence today.

  I totally agree with that, Solana according to my research, is quicker than Ethereum, handling 50,000 transactions per second or more versus Ethereum's 15 to 45 TPS pace. Although Ethereum has the advantage of being the first, Solana may show to be faster and more capable.

Well you are right but Ethereum network itself right now it's very congested and mostly only used by some whale or any other big institution, Paying more than $10 for simple transaction it's a big problem and if this continue other chain like Solana, Cardano, Poly will taking over Ethereum place for sure, The only hope it's Upcoming ETH 2.0 update.

For now, I'm sure a lot of people really like solana. It has fast transactions and low fees. Also some of projects that using solana network always ended succesfully. I also got three projects IDO whitelist and invest on it. In the end i got more than 5x profit from three of them, i even got more than 20x profit from one of them. So i think solana still have potential in the near future.

Add Avalanche to that list. And yes, Solana has the stomach for a good fight with Ethereum. BSC has shown the Ethereum DeFi pie can be shared, and so Solana can do it. Looking at its properties like high transaction speed and much more transactions per second, only one way is up

Solana is doing very well compared to the rest of the competitors. Sol overcomes the problems that ETH is having, but to become a real competitor of ETH, Solana still has a lot to prove itself. The last rally was just temporary hype, Sol is very young it needs more time to develop and perfect its ecosystem.

Solana is position to be the next big altcoin.  I have read however that many developers prefer ethereum platform! Ethereum seem to have developed infrastructure needed for developer for various uses!  Cardano is yet to develop it's platform for effective smart contract deployment!  I think ethereum is still the leading altcoin!

Solana is doing with some better features and having very good feedback even it's under beta version, but development is going good for this and growth is also very fast community now feeling good with this because Ethereum gas fees is also killing, so I am feeling this could be good competition for future between these two and some more new blockchains can also join this for more competitive market and healthy environment in this crypto market.

Many claiming Solana blockchain is fastest in world, so this could be also good advantage with this, but still Ethereum is also going to be very good in near future.

Good to you to be able to take nice profits in solana networks, besides the hype itself in the past few months I also heard some people around me had good experiences or profits on this chain networks. If the people who running project on solana networks keep up the good work and bring more beneficial to people I bet Solana could perform long run along with ethereum.

Yes obviously they are, they had a very active developer and also in social media, they are active announcing their activities upon developing such a project. But we can't compare them with each other because they had different blockchain use and each of them has different usage. And yes, Ethereum is still the best cryptocurrency for holding a long term, but for now, using it vas your daily of making transaction maybe will piss you off. If you have a lot of money to afford to collect them all and I think that is good.
