As it typically happens when BTC fall down, most of the altcoins follow suit. Ethereum leads the adverse trend with a 6.5% drop. Just a few days ago, ETH was well above $3,100, but it’s now down to approximately $2,900. Can we still see ethereum reach 6k$ this year? Bitcoin price is being affected by new set of Chinese fud and altcoins are affected too there are a lot of altcoins a top altcoins that is now falling down and 1 of them is eth. So how would you defined the ethereum price next 3 months or at the end of this year can we still see it 5k$ to 6k$ or not?

Actually most of them had the same pattern especially bitcoin and ethereum and some known alts in the market, so expect if the market becomes fully recovered or there's a good new occur, for sure all of them will rose up or will break new all time high.  Perhaps if you used to visit their graph you can see it as well that there's ni big difference on their performance in the market.. Must try tradingview.  ;)

I think it's still too early to tell if it wouldn't reach the $6k mark. What we could do is continuously investing in the asset if we think it will get it. At least with that mindset, you can be at the market all the time, and you wouldn't need to time it ideally. As long as you are exposing yourself to the suitable risk, it will inevitably change the course of your profits once you HODL the right coins.

My chart there shows only support and resistance. With this in mind, I do see a pattern of it rising again because it has bounced off the support line below and could now break the resistance. Once that penetrates, I think we are heading off to beating the ATH again.

Keep note that I'm only on a small timeframe because of my trading bot. I like to have multiple trades done 24/7 instead of monitoring it continuously.

Ethereum will look fine in the final round of this year and as long as Bitcoin is still able to fix itself through the price in the market, then Ethereum will reach the price as you said it is on the condition that there will be no further declines or market corrections in the next few months or as long as the current year period has not ended.

Now, the price stays at $2,800 and hopefully, it will not go down for more. No one will know what will happen in the next 3 months but we still predict the ethereum price can be at $5k-$6k at the end of the year or next year. But that will depend on how bitcoin price is at the market and if bitcoin price does not increase and back to $50k, it seems, ethereum is not increased higher too and maybe that will be at $2,700-$3,000 range of the price. I hope that everything will change in the next months.

5k cannot be denied can happen if Bitcoin breaks the ATH before this year ends .

Wrong mate, it is 2,900$ as we speaks now , though there are some small falling happen to 2,800 but coming back constantly to 29 hundred.

At the moment, it is very difficult to predict the price of cryptocurrencies, since there is instability and uncertainty in the market, in the world at the moment. Many, like me, are waiting for a new flight to the moon by the end of this year, but you need to understand that this requires funds. The next drop in cryptocurrency prices just solves several problems, namely, pulling cryptocurrency out of weak hands, as well as a set of positions and funds for a new leap up. It is difficult to say exactly when this will happen, since what will be the new ATH prices for Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

If $6k and for this year, I'll say the chance is low.

But it can happen, I'm not closing the possibility that it can happen but the chances of it happening next year is higher than this year.

$3k - $4k is what's on my mind if it's for this year.

My prediction is that ETH will reach $6k-8k by the end of the year or the beginning of 2022. I'm sure because I see ETH making huge progress this year. when ETH 2.0 rolled out, its price skyrocketed from $1.8k-2.2k then skyrocketed to $3.9 a few weeks ago. the market has crashed several times and ETH remains at $3k. this is a big achievement for them. This is just my prediction and everyone has the right to have their own predictions.

ETH will hit the price of $5k, $6k or $7k? I have a prediction that ETH will reach $10k. I dare say that because I see the very rapid development of ETH. when ETH 2.0 was released the price skyrocketed and many people viewed ETH with a positive outlook. ETH seems to show its fangs and make the others fall behind. although the price is still far from BTC but ETH is far superior to other coins.

Prediction is non sense if you don't combine it with the time for your prediction.

Prediction will be right if I say Ethereum will have price at $20,000. I believe it will be hit and the issue is only when. I mean the time when Ethereum is exchanged at $20,000. My prediction will be wrong if I say it will happen in 2021 but it will be correct if I say it will happen in 2032.

We can and why not? the sky was the limit, maybe this time ethereum is facing another correction but we can believe if in the next months the bullish trend will happen as the whole chart of bitcoin has been showing the bullish chart.
Just ignore it, so many times china was always creating FUD to the bitcoin. bitcoin was starting without any support from the government and regulators. This is the truly decentralized crypto which can't be controlled by anyone. So many crypto services were taking their decision to keep growing.
I do believe if 5k should become the next target that will be achieved by ethereum. The next hardfork will be coming. When the new EIP that will be reducing the gas fees will be implemented and this will be triggering another bullish trend like what happened with EIP 1559.

For me it is very difficult to determine the price of Ethereum at the end of the year with a target of $6k, but this pattern can indeed happen but we have to think that it all needs a process and also the existing sentiment, for me this is very difficult but it could possibly happen if the pump is big re-emerged in the market and has been against fud from china, but about this decline it will obviously affect other altcoins below it but ETH could rise again to $3k in the near future.
It's still in the selection stage after the dump and will bounce again.

In crypto world, it's really hard to predict the exact price. We didn't know that such kind of news would come from China and thus many types of news may arrive. It may positive or negative both and this type of news affect on price strongly. Ethereum is much potential and there are enough scope to rise up. But reaching $6k within this year is so tough for Ethereum.

if bitcoin can't recover back again to the above 50k rate and ethereum may still be stagnant. In my opinion, if the key was not on the ethereum but on bitcoin although some people keep saying that ethereum sometimes didn't even stand with bitcoin but this will be a different case. The hard fork gives short-term impact but 5k would be a very difficult floor that will be achieved by ethereum as this will force ethereum to find big buyers from the market to make it happen. The update will not be enough. there must be big news just like approval of ethereum ETF or something like the adoption of ethereum by the institutional investors. We know that if institutional investors can trigger the small or even whales to did FOMO to the ethereum market.
Once this happens and massive buy for ethereum will be coming soon. This will be pumping ethereum to the 5k or even more but when we have no good news come and don't expect the price of ether can go high in the next quarter.

Predictions are not completely meaningless if it justifies those predictions.
Although I love and hold ETH, I personally don't care too much about how big it is, because I basically know what's going to happen to it. It's the price increase and that's it.
We'll see it in the future that's for sure I'm sure, the signals going on are good and all you have to do is sit back and watch it happen.

Predicting the future price of Ethereum is very hard to do because we don't know how the market behaves in the following days, weeks, or months but for the sake of fulfillment let us try to predict base on the current situation I believe Ehereum price will be around $3K in the remaining months of 2021. due to many factors that currently affecting Ethereum itself and also the crypto market in general.   

This comes from someone (me) who was never into Ethereum until during the last crypto winter, and when Vitalik stepped back, and when the ICO fad went and Ethereum showed it was still a big utility platform.

$1400 was old ATH and overvalued.
$3000 is probably a good price, and a true floor. So if this is what the year will be,,, I think it is not a bad deal at all. This is my prediction.

This year's target for around 6K still doesn't look quite supportive. Well, because at the moment, Fud just keeps coming almost every day and causes the price to rise for a while and then fall with a deeper price.
To be honest, paying attention to the current market conditions tends to be more worrying. Maybe next month it won't continue to fall, Ethereum needs to give it a boost. Apart from Fud and the shocking news from China, it is difficult to change the price course. The fortunes of altcoins are also not looking good later this year.

Nearly in a year, the Eth price can climb to $16k according to my personal prediction. The huge price jump on BTC charts will start rally towards ATH price and alt season will be real if Eth can follow footsteps of BTC, IMHO.  Maybe a new accumulation point will be actual on the charts if BTC can go up. In terms of value, it stays the same and the competition heats up among the alternative coins. ETH has the huge potential to continue as the second place on CMC but the prices have to go up to compare the real money flow towards alternatives,in my opinion.

Why it's so much important that ETH will reach $6,000 this year? If ever ETH hits that price, what will you do next? We can consider reaching $6,000 as a realistic price target that's why you don't have to worry that it won't happen. Personally, I'm not seeing ETH will reach that price this year but if that happened, then good for those ETH holders.

No right guesses here and it's impossible to predict that. Don't stress yourself about it. If you want to buy ETH, just do it without hesitation.

I think we've had too much of an opinion on the future price of ETH, looking back over the past period, it has had a great growth. Personally, in the coming time, there will be a lot of big news that will directly affect the market and in my opinion that is good news. And the end that ETH reaches 2021 will be around $5000.

Ethereum is less and less like this pattern this year though so we should give credit where it is due. Remember the last time (before this fall) that Bitcoin fell Ethereum actually moved above and beyond 3k.

We are back again in 3100 now so I would prefer to see it stay this way this entire month, rather than go back to 4k and fall back again below 3k,,, all the interest is still in defi coins now though.

It is better to enjoy the price now by selling some ETH we have because the price can finally break $3,000 and hopefully, it will still rise higher. If the price can still increase from this month, no matter slow or fast, we might see the price at around $5,000 at the end of this year. Otherwise, it is just a little increase and the price will not increase above $5,000.

But I believe ETH can be more than $5,000 in the future, no matter how long the price will reach that price. We need to be patient for more because ETH is still on the way to break every high price.

It is impossible to predict for sure. It is already above 3.2k at the start of the month and we still have 3 months to have it 6k as well, not that it will be there but nobody could say that it can't happen neither. What we are doing here is just guessing and assuming what it will be and if you can't do that then how are you going to buy ethereum or sell it? You have to try to predict it and maybe you will be right or maybe you will be wrong but you will have to just try to predict, without trying you will not reach anywhere.

I personally believe that it will be around 4k+ and close to 5k by the end of the year but I have no way to prove that aside from waiting and seeing.

We can always see the price of ethereum to break another ATH anytime. The price of ethereum was dropping back again to the 2900 didn't mean if that will be the end of everything. The bullish trend has not yet started. Don't be a pessimistic person. Crypto has its own bullish time. Chinese FUD was nothing and bitcoin can still even bullish without the Chinese supports again. Ethereum can surpass its ATH again. Pump and dump just usual things in crypto and you must not feel worried if that will be going down even deeper. The next quarter will be far better than this time. Bitcoin already surpassed the key point to enter into the bullish trend again. This is just the beginning. You must be patient and should not feel worry about what happened with the market before. I can't guarantee if the price of ethereum will be touching 5k at the end of this year but let the price of ethereum to surpass 4k again. We entered the last, fourth quarter of the year and this is usually a good time for cryptocurrency prices to rise. I think that this year, too, we may soon see the continuation of the bull market. An increase in the ethereum price to $ 5000-6000 by the end of this year is still quite possible.

That's what you and I are thinking about in the future. Honestly, if you're not too concerned about the ongoing short-term trend, it's really easy to patiently watch ETH rise.
But not everyone can do that, I myself am still holding ETH when I bought it in 2020, and plan to hold more rather than sell them at any rate because those are not the what's on my mind.

For starters if you have noticed that whenever the market is crashing,  bitcoin might or usually drops more than Ethereum because Ethereum has other tokens to serve which helps with its demand and cushions it from a violent drop unlike bitcoin which has its own back. So should we get into a bull run I expect Ethereum to do better than btc and I know it's following in the foot steps of bitcoin so I see $10000 to be a good target if you are a long term hodler.

There’s a lot of situations where ETH surpassed BTC in terms of the returns, and that is because of having a good network that is being widely used by many projects though of course BTC is still leading all the way in terms of its value. I see a bright future with ETH and if the bullish trend continues, we might see its new ATH beyond the level of $6k this year, we are halfway on that and its really possible.

When Bitcoin price fell, Ethereum was still high which I was surprised that Ethereum was able to resist the force that always draw altcoins whenever bitcoin price falls or rise. Now bitcoin had gone up and other altcoin had follow the attraction, but we can see that Ethereum is still trying to meet up with the other coins that are surging now. Maybe Ethereum is trying to gain and momentum to surge high again to the moon.

It's hard to predict this time while it seems there's a hardships we've been presently experiencing. $6k in december is very possible especially at the end of this year Ethereum 2.0 to be fully in place by the end of 2021, a move which will suddenly transform the crypto into one of the most environmentally friendly of its kind.

Ethereum is now at 3400$ and the Bitcoin is almost 48k$ so it we are going to calculate there is a possibility that ethereum will reach 6k$ maybe at the end of this year. As bitcoin was preparing to challenge the $49,000 price line, though, the situation changed, and the subsequent rejection drove it down to a daily low of $47k$ if btc broke the price line which is 49k$ there is a possibility that the altcoins will continue to rise and ethereum will surely reach a new ATH.

Bitcoin can indeed have an impact on Altcoins especially in terms of price and I am aware of that. Having experienced several market corrections this year, Bitcoin prices fell and rose again as they are today. But for Ethereum, I don't think $6K will happen again until December. The opportunities I see will only be in the highest price range of $4.7K and that I can't really confirm is just an opportunity.

When you look at what bitcoin price does and what other coins do in reaction to it, you realize that bitcoin can't move all alone, altcoins could have some news and all that could make an individual coin go up or down, but whenever bitcoin moves in a direction then all altcoins move to that direction as well.

People need to realize that bitcoin is not alone anymore, all those coins are looking up to bitcoin for their moves. It is clear to me that bitcoin movement could be parallel or opposite but it will always change other coins prices. So, why buy altcoins if bitcoin makes them move? Well for that individual moves I talked about, a coin could go up as much as 2 without bitcoin moving if there is a special thing going on for it.

I fully agree with you. Not every altcoin will be dependent on Bitcoin's price movement. There are already a lot of time that some altcoin rose its value to even 2X, 10X, 100X of its value even bitcoin isn't has significant movement at all.
So people, don't think that it will always be dependent to Bitcoin's price. Tho I think, if bitcoin make some significant movement, it will have an effect to every altcoins out there.

You know very well that the altcoin market usually follow the BTCitcoin market and that is the case with Ethereum as well. If you really want to know whether the price of ETH would reach above $6k you should have a clarity about when their insane transaction fees would be sorted out. Even the ETH core developers have no idea about that and one we have a conclusive answer on that we can talk about these insane valuation.

The answer is simple, it will follow how the BTCitcoinm market will perform.

this is due to the current trend, where with potential coins, many investors will come to invest, so it will be easier to raise the price up to 100x though, especially with a relatively small market capitalization, if the coin can survive. after skyrocketing, then in the future of course the coin will be able to level up

I think ethereum will only break at least 4000 this end year , because there are so many competitive coins rising this year special to mention ADA and SOL.

also Ripple is starting to climb up and those will prevent the complete rising of ethereum.

Should not be surprised anymore,,, more and more times now we see Ethereum going through its own market path. Sometimes intensely in the opposite direction from BTC as we saw this year. And even when it did follow the overall crypto trend, it was able to make more gains/losses than BTC itself.

Alts now even follow ETH rather than BTC, especially for ETH-based defi.

Did you see the BTC price in April this year with a very high ATH? if you see that, then you also see a decrease in the price of BTC which is almost 50% of ATH after April ended and all that happened within this year, don't joke too much buddy. ;D :D

It will not be an easy one for someone to predict the ethereum price in the next 3months correctly. Beginning of this year, we find the ethereum price wolverine around $600 before the bull run. During that period, ethereum was downgrading in price badly before the help of bitcoin halving(bull run) that skyrocketed her price to ATH of $3900. This last quarter of the year might be a very good year for ethereum to gets to another ATH($5k-6k)

I guess people trying to make a profit on ETH right now are missing the whole point. I will not make a profit from ETH today, or maybe tomorrow or even maybe in a month. However what people are missing out is that, if you buy right now, and wait few years, it will be eth 2.0, and if you wait few more years after that you will see the results of it.

In 5 years I believe there is a good chance you could see eth over 20k, even at 30k. That is 10x increase in 5 years, we could see even more but I do not want to get ahead of myself. So all in all, if there is a chance that I could make 10x return in 5 years, I will take it, and ETH looks like it is definitely possible. What we need to do however is that we need to keep it calm and wait and be patient and do not show emotions and panic as soon as it has some little drops, that will ruin your investment.

Indeed no one can predict Ethereum price movements with 100% accuracy, but at least by doing a good analysis, our predictions are close to accurate.
And it really helps us to make decisions, this year there are only two months left and the price of Ethereum is now at $3300. So it's really hard if
Ethereum has to reach a price of $5k-$6k, at least this month Ethereum should return to the ATH price. But if we look at the price of Ethereum
up 13% compared to last week, this is a good sign. Ethereum should be able to return to the ATH price in the near future, if Ethereum manages to

Changes in the price of Bitcoin have an impact on the coin, although there are coins whose impact is not as big as the Solana coin. If you actively follow the price movements of coins in the market, you will definitely see how Solana moves when all the coin charts turn red. Solana seemed to be walking alone at that time.

It definitely will. 4k is a very low estimate - just my opinion ofc, based on it's use cases, projects & history since 2017 I would think something like 8-10k is very possible. 4k, absolutely. This of course is only my estimate on it. Everyone should do their own research.

with the growing popularity of NFT I think it is very possible for ETH to touch $6k by the end of this year...

although ethereum gas fee is very high but it doesn't affect ethereum transactions which are very large, erc based defi and NFT are really popular.

If bitcoin can pass and back to $64k this month, ethereum could be back to $4k or even $5k. The wild prediction will be at $6k before the end of this year but we never know how high ethereum can rise. It is still 3 months later to see how much the ethereum price will be at the end of this year and besides that, we do not have a clue how high the bitcoin price will increase. Everything is possible to happen and with the bitcoin price increase slowly to $54k, ethereum will have a chance to increase more. And $4k is the next high target price for ethereum.

In this year the coin price went down and up again several times even as you said that was only in a matter of days the price of Ethereum was like that.
The next 3 months you mean the end of the year with 2 months remaining. If I feel that the price of $5K there is still hope for Altcoin Ethreum to reach that price and it is difficult to reach a price of more than $5K let alone $6K.

Currently the price of ETH is $3600 and will be very close to the price of $4K, so the chances are clear that it will happen, because ETH is a very popular coin from the past until now so to reach more than $4K it would be very possible to happen

Even if the current price will dump the next day, i know there are still high chances for ethereum to reach $4k before this year ends. My own price prediction will be $5k and that's because ethereum has always been in constant with $3200-$3500 so maybe if it moves upward, $5k might be its last possible target. Bitcoin has always been leading the market and it will be able to hit its new ATH before year ends, then more possible that ethereum too will reach its own target ATH.

I don't know about you, but I think ETH can hit $ 5k this year. However, I have been looking at many technical analysis articles and I am surprised by this article that says that a very bullish move can occur if all goes well for BTC:

Expectations are very good, and this can provide the necessary security for ETH investors, which is not crazy to invest at this time, even more so that the ATH of BTC has not yet been reached.

We are grateful that near the end of the year the price of coins including ETH is in good condition. In my opinion, in predicting prices, we can look at the history of price data from several years ago. After seeing it, predictions can be made, that ETH will increase in the year 2022 just a little bit. But this goodness will make price stability.
