All the social media facebook, whatsapp ,instagram are not working at the same time. Is something happening or its just an accident ? Or its just in my country!

I am facing the same problem here. And I think there are a major problem of of facebook as a result others which are also managing by facebook namely whatsapp, instagram etc. It is top of the news of the world for now. Probably you have not seen news from any media thats why you do not know about it.

Yes, it not all the social media that's not working but only those that belong to the Facebook empire.
We don't the reason why all the social media that belong to the Facebook empire all went down but I believe it will be a serious tech problem.

It sounds like they were hacked or there is some sort of government intervention that we will soon learn about. I know they were a small monopoly (Google is the elephant in the room) but perhaps this is a new precedent that they can just shut down anyone they want without warrant if they post misinformation about COVID. It all links to the new medical tyranny we seem to be under.

It's not first time when Facebook goes down, but I can't remeber that they were down for so long - maybe 5-6 hours already. It's kinda strange to not be able to use Facebook, but I think it's not that bad thing - I waste too much time there.
It's fun to see Facebook communication where they said that ''some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products.'' It's just ridiculous attempt to reduce scale of issue when whole world facing it :D

The issue is apparently related to problems with Facebook's DNS records. When a user goes to a Facebook-owned domain for one of their services, the user will be directed to an incorrect server associated with an IP address that is different than that of the correct server. This is affecting all facebook services, including its internal services.

The problem is already solved, at least I can now access facebook, instagram and whtsapp, this time they took a long time to fix the problem and this shows that people shouldn't be addicted to zuckerberg social networks.. I don't use it much facebook, instagram and whatsapp so i wasn't worried about them not working.

They are now back up and running after a long hours shutdown it was said because of networking issues. I was a thinking it was good thing, having a break from social media because some people are so obsessed with online world and forget about the real world they are living in. I know there are also some positive effects because it can make the world really small by bringing people together despite being apart but spending too much time on social media can also affects mental and physical health.

This problem has been seen in many parts of the world that social media is not working at all. I think their site is getting some new updates so this is a problem this often happens when there is a problem with the server multiple users have expressed their problems through twitter meanwhile, facebook said through their website something has gone wrong. Trying to fix the problem as soon as possible it is not yet clear how long this problem will last.

It's now back and with those early thoughts that I've read in other forums, they've said that it's all about the congress hearing and FB did it intentionally and it's not a coincidence that their servers were down. I don't know the whole thing since I don't reside in the US.

No it ws not intentional and there were so many rumors spreading on the twitter, the only social media platform online at that time of outage.

It is not a hacking issue and I'm yet to find out the cause but footing what suchmoon said: "Unfortunately a few years from now we'll probably have cars refusing to run when some domain gets pwned." I believe it domain issue.
Meanwhile, I noticed a feature was added to WhatsApp settings that will allow anyone to add people to any group on WhatsApp if the setting is not changed to "my contact".


Now I understand you. However, you shouldn't have base your conclusion about the issue footing what an influencer posted on Twitter cause those people can be funny at some point just to create hype, and the last time I checked the picture was edited.

Thank God it's now back,I failed to notice it because through out that period,I was occupied with my other jobs that I couldn't come online.I did not even hear of it,but it was later that I was told that the internet's were not working,I tried opening immediately,and it opened,so I didn't notice it.
But personally I think that happens as a result of multiple users,and I also think that the person in control just wanted to prove to people that he is able to control it.
For that few period of time,people were frustrated because they couldn't have access to their online work.Thank God it now perfectly ok.

The problem with those sites been down has been solved now and it will be good for this topic to be closed with the thread locked. The moderators or op should do that to avoid people spamming here.

Dude, seriously? Look at date when OP made this thread - it's not that he posted it recently. Few days ago when he posted it all Facebook owned social media were down.
And yeah, it's obvious that this downtime cost a lot of money. Even few minutes downtime is serious thing for such website and now we talking about whole 6 hours.

Did you guys have experienced the outage again? I haven't experienced it and didn't know about it until these media posted it.

From what I have seen on social media, they mention that Facebook is in controversy over the "Facebook Files" revealed by a former employee but that we will surely know more in the next few days.

Social media not working ,sometimes every company suddenly poor signal hard to get a higher access.Hard to connect every places,or some changes,for policy and rules.

You can imagine how much an individual can loose in a few hours from an online thriving investment. This is to tell you that there is a lot of money online and points the need for people to see the need for an online investment.

It's always about an insider when it comes to matters like this. I heard something similar but then, what was really the motive behind the file leak? Was it really for a change or just a way of getting to Mark Zuckerberg and bitting where it actually hurts!

You have not mention the correct amount, you have mentioned only 6000$ but it will be 6 billion dollars. 6000$ dollar is nothing to Zuckerberg  and for this 6 billion loss (https://www.wionews.com/technology/mark-zuckerberg-loses-7-billion-in-hours-as-facebook-plunges-418427) he lost his position of global richest people list. How would you think that Zuckerberg  loss only 6000$ for such a problem?!?
