Title: MyEtherWallet help! Can't send token , "execution reverted"
Post by: Heartilly on October 12, 2021, 07:17:52 AM
Can't send token from MEW and Metamask. Getting an error "execution reverted".

Gas fees are enough.

Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Have you tried it on some ETH wallet apps like Alpha, Guarda, or whatever? You can find them (which ethereum.org recommends) here (https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/).
Looks like @Darker45 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5212731.0) had the same problem in the past but he doesn't seem to provide any updates after that. Better you PM him if he found a solution for it.

Read the comment on this post of the same error.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MyEtherWallet/comments/n91wl4/returned_error_execution_reverted/

Check those factors that made that error as said by the guy who commented below it.

Thanks, noorman0, for mentioning me. But that was a long time ago. I cannot remember everything. I think I didn't proceed with that transaction.

Anyway, OP, which particular token are you trying to send? I suspect the case is about tokens being locked for a certain period of time. I think I experienced the same. If you have already tried sending the same token using different wallets and increasing your gas fee but the same execution reverted error pops out, it might be what I suspect.

Set gas limit to 200k and try.

Alternatively you can import your wallet in Trustapp wallet to transfer your token from you wallet, Trustapp automatically gives you the amount of gas needed to send out token from your wallet.
you can import it as Binance Smart Chain or Ethereum network, after which import the token with the contract address and it will pop up for you to transfer the preferred token you wishes.

How much is "enough"? Always have some extra more funds on top of the suggested gas fees.

If only on that specific token you are encountering that error, then there's might be an issue with the contract itself. But if the error applies to all tokens you are trying to transfer, then I believed it's only about gas fees. Just to be safe, at least, try to add more funds, maybe around $50 + the gas fees suggestion.

Did you mean Trustwallet instead of Trustapp?

That's not really a solution for this case, we didn't know what's the specific problem of OP. If the problem is the token got locked by developer, using Trustwallet or any wallet wouldn't work, all you need is contact the developer itself.

Also using Trustwallet will got a same error messages, which OP will confuse too [1]

i mean import his private key on Trustapp after which he can send out his token using the APP.
i guess you understand me clearly now.

Set gas limit to 200k and try.
Someone said the same suggestion on the reddit too which happened a long back but there is no further discussion either so don't know it worked or not. But if the error occurs due to the developer locked the particular token then there is no option than waiting for them to release it.

I forgot to update this topic.

Status: This was already solved and what I did is just increase the gas fees.

The fee shown to me during that time is $10. I have $20 that's why I think it's enough. I send an additional $30 worth of ETH then the transaction now goes through. The question is, how much are the exact fees needed on top of the remaining balance as gas so just do your own guess. I think $30 would be enough so I take chances and succeed. It was sure varies depending on the network congestion status.
