In your opinion, what is the DeFi project to keep on radar and study and which DeFi projects do you consider new gems and have you already bought them?

There's just too many and it's hard to keep with with all of them. Coinmarketcap and Coingecko has a page for them for easier viewing. I'm not mentioning any projects since I'm also not sure if it's 100% legitimate. Sometimes what you thought as real could turn out as scam or a complete failure. Look into P2E projects if you want to narrow down your search. I think that's an area where DeFi will thrive for a long time.

People are richer in bull market and they get money too easily. They are not satisfied with profit they have earned and want to find new potential projects. They don't know that 90% of potential projects will die in bear market. 2020 or 2021 market is bigger and different than 2017 and 2018 market because with ventures, they won't invest in scam projects.

However, not scam and really potential projects are not the same. Bear market will tell you a potential project in bull market can keep  up their potential in bear market or they will lose it.

DeFi ecosystem is too big now and there are many competitors in this ecosystem. If you want to get safe investment, choose top ones but their prices are high and expensive. It means even they are top DeFi, they are risky because bear market can come anytime.

Its not the best investment time. Good time to invest was in 2018-2020. Good time to invest will be in 2023-2024. Now its take profit time or trade the most hyped projects. Fundamentials does not make any different right now. Of cours its better to invest in something that have value grater than zero, because it will not dump 95% in one week during market crash but better project does not mean it will gain more. Trade shitcoins now if you are experienced trader, invest after market crash.

Investment should be done with projects that have good fundamentals and in bear market. Don't chase the market, and don't invest in mid of bull market. You believe it is mid of a bull market but are you sure (investor) that it won't be a mid but a top of bull market. Who knows?

I think your advice is trade mid and small cap coins, not shit coins

99.99% of coins are shitcoins. There are only few projects (like 3-5) that are worth investment and all of them are overpriced or well priced right now. I dare to say that their strong fundamentials wont translate into higher returns during bubble we are currently in. The fact is that if you want to max out your profits from bubble, the best strategy right now is to trade the most popular shitcoins with decent volume and volatility (damn did I just described shiba - shitcoin with decent volume and volatlity...)

Hence the greed begins when people believe that these currencies will continue to rise for a long time, when corrections begin, they will be strong and may witness a sharp decline.
Most currencies that witness sharp corrections die and may not be able to return to those peaks again, so the best time to sell is when you make a reasonable profit instead of greed and trying to earn more.
DeFi Projcet was trend of this stage, just like ICOs and Hardfork in 2017.

I personally will try to put bitcoin defi as the main defi to be considered as promising defi this year. I have been seeing sovryn, stack, ICP as the next defi projects that needs consideration. Remember that defi in the smartcontract blockchain already become a mainstream defi and we need something new and bitcoin defi was the answer consider we are only seeing a few bitcoin defi that exist in the market. The defi like sovryn was also working with el salvador to provide bitcoin backed stable coin for the country. That's a very interesting defi to be considered as the best defi project this year.

Have been into DeFi for sometime now and have seen the ups and downside of defi, enjoyed benefits like juicy farm rewards, High APY & APR, same time seen some disadvantages like rug pull, expoilt, weird UI, high swapping fees when it comes to any DeFi platform launched on the ETH network, at first I did enjoyed pancakeswap Buh saw it as a less when I found DeFi on the Near blockchain, everything there looks cool, all of its DeFi projects are awesome and at same time safe. Discussing the future of all these tokens draws everyone's attention. Because nowadays, if you want to get a good return on your investment sooner, there is nothing better than that. But be very understanding and invest in it. Now if you talk about a good project, you can know it from the side like Koin Market Cap and Koin Geko. But do research on the project and invest in it. That is my advice to you. It is not easy to say which project is the best, as thousands of projects are currently coming up.

I completely agree with those who write above about the Axie Infinity project. This project gave faith to all other projects in the mechanics of p2e and definitely made this niche mainstream. Axie made a new niche and this is the best project in this definition in my opinion.

Almost all of trusted defi has become major coins. Only a few defi coins that are still undervalued at this moment. It's for me that if pancakeswap and dydx will become a game changer. More and more defi coming every day but it's quite difficult to pick which has big potential among the defi coins in the market. You can try to see some defi coins like uniswap, pancakeswap, quickswap or another swap token.
Top 100 coins should be enough to get legit defi coins from the market, the only thing to do a deep research about that. We can't predict it correct but it's better if you are diversifying your money into the various defi tokens. This will also help you to increase the chance to get legit defi tokens but remember just put your money into the legit coins.

My favorite DeFi projects right now are Ref Finance, Tarot, Spookyswap, Qubit, Qi DAO, Alchemix and Abracadabra.

It's not undervalued. They have low value than top DeFi coins because they are late in the game, in the DeFi ecosystem and they can not compete with other late DeFi projects or with top DeFi projects.

Why did they participate too late in DeFi ecosystem? Because they are not game changers, and they only follow a trend in crypto. Without good brains, they only be average DeFi projects and you can not expect those projects will have values of hundred dollar per coin.

In bear market, average or small DeFi projects will die. The bear market always kill weak and less competitive projects.

There are several candidates for the Best DeFi Project 2021-2022 that have the potential to become GEMS and among them are;
REN, LITERATURE(LIT), SWINGBY, FANTOM, POLKASTARTER, ONE(UMA) all of these coins have their own advantages including minimum supply, current total supply and sources, market value and number of token sales in the future mass

Avax is a defi project that is very superior in terms of the Blockchain it has. In fact, Avalanche defeated Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polkadot. In addition, Avalanche allows developers to easier to build decentralized applications (DAPPs)

Currently, farming HCT in Hurricaneswap with own risk as it’s so much hyped up and having great backers. Although, previously one project called VEE finance, was hacked which was also launched on avalanche chain. So be aware of new projects on avalanche chain if anyone's planning to jump for those. TBH, next hype will be from harmony chain, so be prepare for new defi project in that chain.

My personal opinion Defi is not one of the best projects in 2021 - 2022 because it seems to me like a passing hype and cannot last as long as coins do. such as BTC. I personally choose BTC as my favorite coin because BTC in the ups and downs of many years has always kept its top position and holding BTC for a long time is one of the risky investment directions the lowest that other investments we have to risk with a very high risk ratio.

I'm interested in Uniswap why I've seen it big from $2 at the time I have it now it's ±$27 which makes me sad I didn't buy it in bulk.

Not following a certain trend after its hype is over and become silent later on. Try picking some NFT-related projects. It's the trend today and I think will be more successful compared to ICO and Defi projects.

I'm seeing the NFT craze will run for the long term especially that there are numerous and rising blockchain games that are now involved in the NFT trend. Give it a try and include that on your research list.

In my point of view, NFT-games are not so hot like they were a month ago, and it is difficult to predict what trend will be the next. I think that projects on Polkadot will attract many attention from investors, so it might be a real hype, so maybe you should also take Polkadot into account  and the fact that parachains' auctions are about to start.

I’ve been in defi for a while. I love SOL, ADA and ETH. My new favorite defi network is NEAR. NEAR is fast and easy to use and the community is amazing. When I was to the project they walked me through everything. NEAR is built by a team of world class developers and it’s backed by huge VC’s like Pantera Capital and Coinbase.

For me I suggest to look into spiritswap dex. Its a project under the fantom umbrella, and seems could do a very big potential in the future most likely same with what pancakeswap did. The only difference its residi ng on fantom opera chain where ftm is their ecosystem. Im not recommending it to some beginner since everything in defi is quite dangerous or risky. But I assure you this platform will be one of the top tier projects in the future.

It's highly recommended to check out PAYB the token of Paybswap. A super undervalued token that holds so much growth potential.

I won't drop specific project but rather I will give pointers on how to spot a good DeFi project so that you can decide for yourself and not through the shill of other user here. It's better to always do your own research.

Pointers:

1.) Check if the idea of the project is unique and not a copycat of other project. DeFi is very famous so there's a lot of scammy project that usually just copy other famous project for easy hype. You can check the launch date of each project for comparison.

2.) Check the VC that supporting the project. Good project is always supported by a very reputable VC such as bluzilla, sequoia and Almeda research . But there still a lot of famous VC out there for you to decide.

3.)Lastly, Make sure that the team behind it has an impressive portfolio and verified.

The DeFI I know is very quick to end. At first it only lasted a few weeks. However, SFUND remains the best DeFI I've ever known. I'm bullish about a new DeFi called wapswap. They are doing something different from the regular defi projects. Most of the Defis just launches, promises unrealistic yields, lets its token crash with farming and launch on a different platform. Wapswap is going to maintain the price of it's token the same on different platforms. And comparing it with the popular max supplied defit token from Biswap, Wapswap has a max supply of just 21 million while BSW is maxxed at 700 million.

DeFi is one of the ecosystems in crypto that will survive and continue to grow. The ecosystem in DeFi is now increasingly interesting with the presence of many projects for problem solutions in crypto. One of the defi ecosystems that is quite developed I think for example is Uniswap. Of course, there are many more because the DeFi project is a financial system that is easy in terms of sales and purchases so do not hesitate for this.

Uniswap is the because it is the trend starter for the DeFi ecosystem that's why I agree with that it is the best due to its unique ide by the time it was introduced but tech wise discussion, there's a lot of AMM exchange that has a better feature on Uniswap like PancakeSwap, DyDx and many more. But since this topic is all about the best in 2012 - 2022 discussion in general, I will agree with you and cast my vote to Uniswap for starting this whole DeFi trend.

This is something I could definitely back 100%. It is certainly true that UNI is something that I highly suggest to be on top of the defi world right now. I am not saying that it is the best token, all I am saying is that it is allowing the defi world to get shaped and that is a very important job.

As long as we have DeFi world following what UNI is doing (or Cake sometimes) then we are going to be able to make the most profit from UNI token first and then whatever else follows. This is why I have increased my UNI and Cake holdings like crazy during this year, it was both profitable but also very scary considering they are relatively new. Hopefully it will get better with time but so far they have been great.

No one can guarantee which defi projects need attention and study, even too many to follow all of them, try to open coinecko which will make it easier for you to analyze, I'm not so sure about defi projects for now, but don't forget that scams will be easy if we don't master every thing we want to join and I'm not saying defi project is a scam, but choose wisely every project we want to join.

Polkadot (DOT).
Namely a multichain sharded network, meaning that it can process many transactions in several chains in parallel (parachains). This made several projects built through DOT compared to ETH.

Sovryn and The Standard. Sovryn is the defi for Bitcoin. It is in its Alpha Version which has still big room for improvements. Aside from that, it is also undervalued in compared to what other defi has created. It created what Ada was promising for years in just a month so its clear that the team is very knowledgeable.

The standard in the other hand is creating a Golden standard again for DeFi. The protocol will allow you to create a algorithmic stablecoin that is backed by BTC or any other assets that is approved by its DAO community.

I think there are some good projects for the future but I prefer pancake swap. My reason is that he has an advantage in Competitive transaction fees are among the main drivers of this network's popularity, and are a key explanation as to how PancakeSwap has attracted such an enormous community of users.

My TOP of the best projects in defi:

1) Pancakeswap
2) zks.app
3) Monox (though now he has problems, hackers hacked and stole money), but the project is progressive.

Currently defi project is not as popular as previous years but I still hold some defi coins like AAVE and Cake and recently I made about 4x profit from ICE project. I bought at $17 in mid-October and I sold everything when ATH came on 06 November last month and that was the last time I made a profit on a defi project. Right now the hype of the metaverse project and the game is going on. You can invest some of your funds in such a project and make sure only with the top choices.

I can say that the best defi platforms are pancakeswap, uniswap and 1inch for this year, they are valid for this year, maybe they can create better ones in the future. I'm afraid that they may lose a lot of value during the bear season, for some reason this comes to my mind all the time. Almost 90% of the current transactions will be made less than 90% of the current transactions, in this case, what would be the benefit of dexes. Anyway, it's perfect for now, we'll see how it will evolve in the future.

Pancake and Uni will stay the "best" if you ask me. There are many coins listed here by people who are not DeFi but just networks, like saying "cardano" is a defi is saying like ETH is defi, it is not, uniswap is the defi and eth is the blockchain uniswap is based on, pancake is the defi and bsc(bnb) is the network. This is why cardano, eth, sol, matic, avax all are out of this discussion if we are talking about only the defi projects.

This is why I believe that if we are strictly talking about defi projects, then uniswap and pancakeswap which has tokens called uni and cake are the two best projects. They will keep being the best projects next year as well and will probably increase a lot too.

Who on earth would deny pancakeswap and uniswap are the best? Volumes are all there anyway, so why would anyone argue otherwise? And this is again proof that cheap and fast is not necessarily better;) As everyone knows Uni is anything but cheap.

But isn't 1inch just an aggregator? I would use 1inch but as the best DEX aggregator since you're essentially just using Uni/Pancakeswap but with 1inch.

 If you look at categories outside of Play2Earn, Gaming, and Metaverse, you see that DeFi has been flat and falling for a long time, blockchains have slowed their growth, and some have already fallen decently.

Everything has a time to survive and fall and some will also be able to get back up at a later time as long as their development has not stopped, because all projects always have basic concepts that their respective teams must always consider.

Sovryn. For me this is the most underrated DeFi project ever. It is built in rsk network which is merge mined by BTC miners. It gives the opportunity to have a DeFi for Bitcoin and is building a decentralized bank in El Salvador as of the moment. I don't know why it doesn't go to mainstream hype. It has all the spices already and ready for booming.

I still feel very much in love with UNI and Cake. I know that they are cliche and I know that they are not really possessing any "jazz" to it. They are not some stoic "viva la revolocion" "destroy the banks" "be your own bank" cool hip cats. Sure they are ordinary at this point because people are already bored with them.

What we need to realize is that many people all around the world hates banks, banks are hated as a business model more than any other business, I hate them more than anything else in the world and yet they are making incredibly amounts of profit, and even if they do not, they bribe some politicians and get bailed out. That is what matters to me, UNI and Cake may get boring and even get hated eventually but they are too good and they will keep on being superbly priced and keep on increasing as well, people may hate them, but they will keep on using them.

Sovryn is not hype in the mainstream nor is it booming in cryptocurrency, because basically Sovryn is very good, it's just that crypto lovers don't know about it so they are less interested in it even though Sovryn is very worthy of a boom.

For me, the best defi platforms are pancakeswap, uniswap and Sovryn are also good for this year, because we don't know if they can provide the best for the future.
But I see the price of the Sovryn is still pretty good today around $10.43 and I think the Sovryn is really worth fighting for.

There was a time privacy focus project where trending and dominated the top spots but currently none can be found in the top 10. If we're to follow the cycle then NFT and metaverse related projects are those to be dominating the top spots in coming years.

Luna is one trending coins at this time and very good to invest now. Avax is also very good and same bouncing like a Solona. If I would invest in any coins Avax and luna would be my first choice.
These both are top coins and very low risk. May be some more defi coins rise more than These coins but high volatile

Today I invested about $55 to buy a new Defi project, namely RAMP, I've been studying since a week ago and following a discussion on a telegram group, and I'm optimistic that this is a promising Defi project. I suggest investing now because today's price is still around 19 cents, a lot of predictions 10x will happen soon

Mana and Land seems to be some new ones that could worth something in the future. Sand also seems like a good deal as well, right now there are a lot of money to be made if you could get your hands of some cheap land, especially if you could buy it in bulk in many different places because that means you could also end up getting a near one to yours by trading or just selling and getting that one.

I have heard a lot of stories of buying 2 lands far apart while offering to trade them to your neighbor land owner, he would end up getting 2 instead of 1, but you will have 2 connected together instead of 3 far apart from each other and sometimes that worths something more. All in all the "idea" is great, and I am hoping that it will pick up, can't guarantee that it will but these metaverse stuff do look like they do have some sort of future in the end.

i'd keep an eye on defi projects on new defi platforms, e.g. on the new CRONOS chain of CRO, or ethereum layer 2's like arbitrum.

CRONOS will for sure have an alternative to pancakeswap that will blow up.

A good DeFi project can usually be an ongoing DeFi. Where we can invest for the long term and earn passive income and done continuously without a period of time. It's like a CAKE and BAKE project.

I think it will be some kind of dex with pharming functions on Layer 2 blockchains, because due to lower commissions and high speed, more and more projects are transferred and cost there. Although many people say that there may be bugs and all sorts of technical problems, I would not say that, for example, I recently used WannaSwap on Aurora myself, and everything works fine. The same Plygon, the application on it also works without problems. Therefore, I think that the top defies will be on Layer 2.

Wannaswap is an excellent DeFi project launched on Aurora (EVM works on NEAR Protocol), the price of the Wanna token increased from $0.1 to $2.5 in two weeks, but this is not the most important thing.  APY% on their site is 1300% on average. And also, since WannaSwap works on Aurora, tokens can be entered at any time into the Ethereum Network or into the NEAR network, as well as gas for swaps on WannaSwap is <0.01 $ since this is an EVM

This is means there are some hidden gems brewing in the near/Aurora ecosystem, 20x in this current market condition isn't easy, I just checked it out now and it did a solid 20x+, I will start looking into the Aurora ecosystem it seems they will be more gems coming out soon, hopefully I'll get my hands on one before it moons.

If you go to coinmarketcap and check what DeFi projects are listed at the top, you could see that Avax has been doing very well. I mean it was obvious from the start that they managed to find a very complex solution to a very simple problem, but people liked it, the more complex it was the more smart people imagined they were. SOL did the same problem and they solved it with high TPS nad end of story, Avax on the other hand is a bit more complicated than that, still simple enough to understand but uselessly longer process.

This is why just recently I had to sell some of my investments and I picked Avax to sell, I would guess that it could still go up, but I believe top 10 was the max it could reach and I want to hold others that can reach the same place.

I think that Balancer is very interesting. You could take a look.

But overall, there is a lot of risk in DeFi right now and a lot of projects are overhyped. There is an insane amount of leverage in the system as well which means that there could be a lot of risk if token prices start falling massively.

I would stay away from purchasing governance tokens for now for any protocol, and be very careful in yield farming/staking.

Actually, I am not looking for defi-projects to invest in their native tokens, but I look for defi-projects to work in them. Usually, I invest in different pairs that give me really good APYs on some reliable platforms or just do staking, but when there was a boom of defies, I invested in different new platforms so as to get exorbitant interests.

I've been hearing NEAR protocol to be a promising one to invest. Not bad because they already entered the top 20 in crypto market. But still, we need to keep up with their updates. Can they truly deliver with their target objectives? How about their clients? Are they satisfied? SOL and ADA as well are worth to look at. So far, I am not seeing them as pump and dump project.

I think that FTM is one of them.

A lot of DeFi activity is now on FTM because of the fact that they have EVM compatibility and they are so easy to use with low transaction fees.

AVAX is another project that I think has significant promise, although it has already pumped quite significantly.

DeFi is the next logical rotation after the NFT hype, so definitely watch out for this space.

Every time IDO is over, I wish I had bought more tokens. But not in the case of Spellfire. I spent everything I could on $SPELLFIRE, so now there’s no money I can regret about, lol. The release of the game is too close, so I couldn’t miss such an opportunity. It’s not every day that one of the most famous card games comes out on Blockchain

I know this but we have one called gala project. This is also pretty similar like steam and it has become a crypto game hub and it has billion valuation.

You can also trade your crypto with the game that already launched on gala. It's not all of game available to make its player to be able to sell the game item.

Launchpads with defi infused in them are getting all the attention. They have a certain amount of followers and they use that follower base to sell their platform to all the other companies as well, projects that will start new. Since, everyone would love to be listed and launched in a great place, the good ones have a chance to get listed in a good place and they will be charged accordingly.

These places not only get tokens from them but also % from the launch as well, then they list those coins and get deposit fee or even swap fee as well, basically they use that token to make as much money in as many different ways as possible.
