My question is can Elon musk sustain this new found financial spot for how long? We have seen bill gate coming back to this spot from time to time and occupying it for a longer time. Now that Elon musk is said being the richest in the world , is he going to keep to this status longer or we are yet going to hear another story of selling off assets because Elon musk is now known as a public stage man ;D ::) So what do you think?

Elon may sustain it for longer time but there's always an end to every beginning much like Bill Gates where he is the world's most richest man on earth but later on didn't became the world's most richest person on earth but still on the top 10 though. We won't know for how long elon will keep the title of being the world's richest person on earth. Only time will tell.

I don't know when it will end but for sure it will still be replaceable. Remember that the wheel is always turning and the world wealth rankings can also be changed. Elon Musk can still be replaced by someone else in the future like he replaced Warren Buffett and Bill Gate as the richest person in the world although it will take time.

Elon is an investor as well as a businessman so he has a good master plan to maintain and increase his wealth through various businesses. Currently he is quite active as a crypto investor, in the future maybe he can just walk away from this crypto after reaping so many profit and wrestle with other fields. It's just a matter of time, we don't know if he can really keep it up for long.

Bill gates current Position on the richest men list is one he hasn't been for over thirty years, that's three decades so we don't know if he would come back from it.
Elon musk biggest rival for the richest man in the world is nit bill gates, rather the Amazon chief, Jeff bezos, and I think Elon musk won't be at the top for months, his stocks will still drop, and Jeff bezos stocks would rise and there would be hand over of richest man in the world from Elon to Jeff, but I know bill gates reign is over I don't think we would see him at number one again for a very long time.

If he keeps financing his projects then he very well may not stay in that position, but that would be the point of all that wealth, to spend it. So as long as he is spending it on doing what he likes, I doubt the positioning matters to him. And if he slips out of that position due to him spending on projects, he might very well get back if any of those projects becomes big.

It's primarily based on Tesla stock, so his fortune is tied very much to what Tesla's stock price does.  My own opinion is Tesla is disgustingly overvalued.  It's valued like it's the only EV maker in the world and given tech company multiples instead of automobile multiples, so as competition ramps up and Tesla continues to have quality and safety problems, this stock will eventually run into reality.  Same for Elon's net worth.

No one knows for how long he will be able to keep up that position, we must remember that in the case of people so rich most of their fortune is invested in their companies.

This means that if for some reason the stocks of his companies begin to fall then his wealth is going to be compromised. Also it is difficult for this spot to be maintained because unlike Buffett  which is mainly an investor, Elon Musk is an innovator and the moment his companies stop innovating or they do it at a slower rate then once again the price of his stocks could go down and he could lose that position really quickly.

This man is a phenomenon, he's a true businessman, whether you like it or not. It's surprising that he reached the top within a few years, surpassing the wealthiest of all. He used to be involved in the most renowned companies, such as PayPal, in which he was a co-founder. I know that he has pissed the crypto community off, but this man is a true genius.

It's literally taken him his whole life to get as rich as he is, what are you talking about with "a few years."  People who build world-changing companies are often billionaires.  That's how capitalism works.  It's been this way since the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts and Morgans of the world first amassed huge fortunes for building such world-changing companies, and it continues today with the Gates and Buffets and Musks of the world.  But none of it was done "in a few years."  It took all of them literally their whole lives to get as rich as they did.

Elon Musk can still be replaced by someone else in the future like he replaced Bill Gate as the richest man in the world although it will take a long time. Recently the rankings have gradually changed as they are. We see that today could be Elon Musk, tomorrow could be Jeff. In the future there is a possibility that Jeff Bezos has significant gains in stocks and conversely Elon Musk will not be at the top for many months his stock will remain down this will always change over time but at least he is still in the top 10 of the richest people in the world.

It all depends upon how well his Tesla and SpaceX stock will rally and the new found billions is because of the rally in his stock market. I really do not care if he sustains the wealth or not and the reason i am not a big fan of Elon Musk is because of the constant shilling in the cryptocurrency space and the number of investors who lost a ton of money because of his shilling degrades everything he does.

Elon Musk would sustain to be one of the richest man in the world same with Bill Gates was, and despite challenges he had faced I think he'd able to manage those barnacles.
However, he couldn't overtake the richest of Bill Gates because he's the top one of all of them but that's not impossible if Elon's projects will soon take off to it's most potential. We don't know how long it will take, that depends on current progress and I believed cryptocurrency who's backed up by this man would also soar someday.

IMO, there's no permanent in this world, anyone could be overtaken by Elon Musk's position and it could be Bill Gates that can get back his position since last year Elon Musk was overtaking the position from Bill Gates and announced his number richest man on earth.

But I think Elon Musk has more wealth than Bill Gates, I saw articles that Elon Musk's wealth was worth more than Bill Gates and Warren Buffet if they combined.  I can't imagine how rich this man and that's why he can able to manipulate the crypto market space.  Rich people become rich because they can invest more as much h as they can.

This is the race where many are interested about, knowing the richest man on Earth and how long he is going to remain. Well, he's really someone special, removing the conflict about his stance before the market.

I think he'll sustain it pretty well especially that there's a massive business and improvement that he's bringing to the people. If his businesses starts to expand like many other countries will be able to important Tesla cars then that'll make him massive sales.

As I know about his other product such as Starlink, it's already being considered in my country by some idealists who really likes it but it costs too much for me.

They are definitely not the richest person on earth, far from it. The wealth they hold is barely a few week's QE of one of the many central banks. I also remember a few months ago, there is a report claiming that one trader's position in an exchange is larger than all their wealth.

This helps me to see that money is not everything, even though Elon has more money than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, I still see the influence that Bill Gates and Warren Buffett create more than Elon. Actually, I think this position will soon be replaced by another billionaire in the near future, but anyway, I think I should feel happy to see such people exist and contribute to the development of the World. 

Even if this is true i am pretty sure his off spring and their off spring are well settled financially. Even if he is left with a billion, that is still more money that he can ever spent in a life time.

Sure most of his wealth is tied to his Tesla stock holdings. And it’s possible there might be a larger pullback in the markets and he can lose tons of his billions but I don’t think he would really care.

You think Bill Gates cares that he is no longer the riches or Warren Bufffet, obviously they don’t.

He wasn't shilling, he was trolling.  Anyone who lost money buying doge deserved their losses.  Guess some people just have to learn the hard way that FOMOing into garbage investments is risky, especially if they're not smart enough to realize it's a stupid move on their own.  Does Elon trolling idiots degrade the work he does at Tesla or SpaceX?  Lol, no.  He's got some major personality defects, but there's no denying the world-changing work he's doing.

I'm sure he can sustain. He does have Bitcoin more than anyone. If Bitcoin will really become $100K, he still going to be rich even if the value of his Billions in fiat is driping.

Keeping his place on top is difficult to do, there's always going to be a better one coming in few years. But why does he need to be on top all the time, he can move to mars he wanted to invade that planet, I'm sure not any Chinese have a residence there yet.

Money is not everything but without money, we can not buy something to survive. Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are still more popular than Elon and yes, that position will change soon with new people who can become billionaires. But Elon will have a chance to increase his wealth because he is younger than Bill Gates and Warren Buffett and besides that, he can expand his business to many things to help him make more money.

He also has a brilliant mind that is constantly innovating, which could lead to a brighter future. Consider what Elon Musk wants to accomplish in terms of technology and space travel, both of which could be extremely beneficial to humanity. Yes, he is still young and has a lot of time to make money, which Warren Buffett and Bill Gates do not have. I believe that this is not the pinnacle of Elon Musk's career; he has yet to earn more and contribute to causes that will benefit humanity.

Elon will have more billions in the coming years and the nearest one is by 2022 first quarter. He will definitely get funded and invested by many after he moves close to the SpaceX launch for the first manned mission. The project is set to be completed by first quarter so just few months left when you will see his money driving crazy. Elon is man of multiple income sources with almost all of them are reasonable good projects. He is one of the standee whose got whole private space research company which at its best. With NASA's collaboration they are actually at perfect place and time. Elon will surely hold his position for very very long time.

He's giving it his all and making a lot of money for it. I dislike how he acts at times, but I can't deny that he's one of the brightest minds in cryptocurrency history for what he have done recently.

Well, Elon Musk is also called the greatest traitor and the most extravagant in crypto as well as his obnoxious attitude on the world economic stand,  he has repeatedly proven himself to have special and crazy thoughts about Tesla's investment and development direction in technology but just a few days later such arguments will be rescinded by him and quite a few followers have lost money from this unusual angle. But there is no denying the wealth of Elon Musk, but I believe quite a few people have a mysterious and undisclosed source of wealth, sometimes richer than Elon Musk but concealed with the intention of tax evasion and the pursuit of the law.

He wasn't always that famous, I never implied that what he has achieved was accomplished within a few years. He was always a phenomenal businessman, but he became renowned in the last few years, I'd say a good two decades, with the creation of Tesla, SpaceX, while he was also a co-founder of PayPal. I never meant to imply what you said, maybe I didn't phrase it correctly, I just meant that he wasn't always that known.

Many people do not understand this. It is thought that a rich person who has 5 billion net worth, has them as cash, and the truth is that if he has them mostly in shares, and tried to sell them massively, it would cause a considerable drop in the share price, and he would have to pay taxes, so he would have much less. But well, having that wealth ensures him a high lifestyle, even if he is short of cash, as Elon likes to go, the banks welcome him with open arms and give him plenty of loans.

He is a very smart and clever business man who is willing to go the extra mile to get to the top, he cleverly uses crypto on his way to the top, the difference between Elon and the likes of gate and buffet is that Elon is diverse, he even had to invest in crypto to achieve his goal despite his initial statement regarding crypto investment, I don't think we can say the same for the other 2 gentlemen  :D
So in any case, if the spotlight is something he desires more, he will definitely find a way of staying there for as long as he can.

This is what Elon Musk deserves to become the richest man in the world. He is a smart and daring businessman with great ambitions that resemble fantasy dreams. He wants to colonize Mars and implant artificial intelligence in the brains of humans and many other aspirations. He is also fond of cryptocurrencies and investing in them, and his wealth can manipulate the crypto market at any time. He is a renewed person with his ideas and goals, not like other businessmen and billionaires.

I'm interested less of what he is worth but of what he is capable of and is willing to provide for the future of humanity. So far he's good on my book, spearheading the species to its first interplanetary exploration and habitation, remodeling rockets to be cost efficient and safer than our conventional ones that are basically like airplanes strapped with bombs, plus the fact that he is at least showing respect and support for cryptocurrencies he deems will be the future of money. His actions may perplex many but as long as they serve the greater good, I'm okay with him. I'd say Paypal allowed him to be noticed by the people, and then SpaceX along with his goofy tweets and that flamethrower he sold to people really brought him to the spotlight. He also founded the Boring Company which revolutionizes construction as we know it so even when the guy is goofing off, he at least does something that will benefit the people in one way or another. People may have bad takes against him due to him rescinding his investments in crypto, but I have gone past that and looked to what he has been able to do for our species thus far.

He's been criticized for his actions plenty of times, however, I remember reading once that he has Asperger's syndrome, which might explain his goofy character now and then. On the other hand, I admire his work, he isn't giving up easily, let's not forget how many SpaceX missiles blown up but still persisted.

Exactly. A few months ago I saw a video of him extremely happy to buy a nice car, nowadays the guy has his own car factory and still makes rockets. Most impressive of all, these were events that took place in just a few years.

I don't know if that is the ultimate dream of the Tesla CEO. He may not consider staying on there himself if that is not what he has in mind, he may not work to sustain it for a longer time. Elon musk to me isn't a business man whose aim is to be stable in a particular spot. He may take another step that will drop him a little lower from the spot. He pushed himself to this level with the role he played on doge coin who knows what he has on his sleeve the next moment.

You might not admire the man, but you have to admire some of the things that he has funded to great success. He took the money he creamed off peoples transactions in the early days of Paypal and put it into some rather high risk endeavors like Tesla and Space X. He funded companies that actually produced things, rather than just moving money in and out of shares like Warren Buffett, or mostly digital services like Microsoft (mainly windows) software. If only he could tone down the arrogance and disrespect he shows people that disagree with him, then he would be a very admirable man, but there are more humble billionaires out there that are probably better individuals personality-wise.

This is because elon musk have influence to many people. When elon posted on twitter, many people have follow what elon twitted so he much have earn a huge profit from it plus his conpany. Elon can sustain it as long as the profit he earn is stable or won't decrease overtime. There is time limit though just like bill gates before.

Real wealth is measured in productive capacity, most of his wealth depends on Tesla shares being in demand.  Tesla itself is not essential productive capacity, it relies on constant expenditure and development for cutting edge technology.    I'm not convinced long term he is wealthy should we find QE is no longer available only certain companies will be as valued not the luxury type that currently do well with easy money policies.

The realistic in me says that he could definitely keep this going because nobody in the world owns as much of share in a car company as he does, but at the same time I keep feeling like other can manufacturers will end up with decent EV eventually. Sure Tesla is still by far the best one, nobody disputes that, and they sell as much as they produce and that is their power, they are selling so much that even new factories are not enough for them, they keep selling at maximum level constantly.

However I believe that we should also realize this is just cars, it is literally just cars, he can't keep up getting richer and richer. Jeff Bezos on the other hand sells everything, and that is why his future looks a lot more bright. I do hope both of them get poorer by huge taxing though, someone getting THIS much richer should not be paying that little taxes neither.

Elon Musk is indeed destined to be the richest servant in the world, no wonder his company is currently growing rapidly in the public, not only that, he can make billions of dollars in one day, that's not to mention the money invested in Bitcoin.

It's only natural that he became the richest person in the world, the business he developed, there are hundreds of businesses that can make billions of money per day for Elon Musk.

Well, I think they will be exchanging places in the top 10 Richest People in the World. I mean all of them, those who specialize in modern technologies, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, anyone of them can take first place at one point. Well, nobody really stays at the top forever, as time goes on things begins to change. There was a time when nobody knows who Elon Musk is, and it was like he’s not even existing. At that time when Bill Gates was the world’s richest man and if you’re to be told that he’s not going to retain that position today as the world’s richest man, you are likely going to doubt it back then.

But, then it happened and Jeff Bezos became the world’s richest man, and nobody knew where the next richest man in the world would be coming from, and out of nowhere came Elon Musk. So, that’s how it’s going to be as time goes on, because someone else will also come out of nowhere and take that position from him. He won’t stay there forever, but one thing for sure is that he’s going down as one of the greatest in history.

Well, from someone that I know of, maybe this is just another conspiracy theory. That these people including Elon have been stocking a lot of things and preparing for something that we don't know when shall come. That's why his businesses including SpaceX, aren't just a business for him but a gateway whenever that 'something' has come to the world. He could be the richest today as it's not about having cash but having stocks of his companies that have tremendously grown a lot.

Well, I agree that he should enjoy it because if I'm on his shoe, I'll definitely enjoy it.

I do understand that the top 10 do change place all the time but I have to say that Elon and Jeff reached to a different level. Yes there is a good chance that other rich people could eventually pass them as well one day but I do not think that they are going to do that anytime soon.

Jeff Bezos owns amazon which is growing constantly and there is a chance that they could be the richest company in the world and pass apple whereas apple doesn't have that much owners which is the problem with that. I understand that Elon musk is not really big company owner because Tesla is a huge company but not in the running for being the richest company in the world but he owns a bigger portion of it. So I believe those two will be changing hands and the others will not be able to pass them just yet.

Honestly, I don't think these guys are in competition with each other for the title of world's richest person--especially Warren Buffett.  I am kind of surprised that Elon Musk is worth that much, but then again I don't really know much about him (yeah, I don't follow the news all that much).

Regarding the retaining of the title: If Musk is worth $23 billion, I don't think he'll have much trouble remaining the richest person on earth.  On the other hand, I don't know a damn thing about what he owns as far as investments, properties, and so forth.  I know about Tesla, but I'm thinking that if he's holding risky assets or if any of his business ventures fail, his wealth could take a big hit.  No idea if that would shave off billions of dollars from it, but I guess it's possible.

And boy, what does a person do after he's declared the richest individual on earth?  I mean where do you go from there?  Lol.  I'd love to have that problem.

What makes me sad is that while this man does some good, he does bad too. Lies, manipulated the crypto market for his own wealth growth, then crashed it even again for the growth of his own wealth. Some may be pro Musk and say that there is nothing wrong with it but helping such methods to become richer than others (your opponents) isn't a good idea.
Also, for me, the fact that someone is the richest, means that he/she doesn't do much for the society. He/She can do even, even more and more.

Probably he'll keep the position for long, because his investments and the innovation is completely future focused. Think of crypto involvement as well as the Tesla products. Maybe some downward slide will happen when there is unexpected downtime as that happened with Facebook recently. His mentality for the society hasn't supported anyone big whereas Bill Gates does a lot of charity.

Making himself worth of $23 billion happened out of a big process. So, the same won't gets destructed all of the sudden.

He can sustain that position because he so many Initiative that is making a lot of money from. With time someone else will take over the position the same way he did to Buffet and others, but one cannot tell that will be though. In this crypto currency era young people are coming up a lot of initiative that earning them huge amount of money so, time will come younger people will take over.

He definitely won't sustain that position for long since history has taught us that the richest people rankings are just as volatile as the cryptocurrency market which is why they keep shifting places on a regular basis.

Musk, Gates, Jeff, Mark etc will continue shifting places for various reasons and this will most probably never change in my opinion.

But those listed as the richest man on earth is also have many initiative to earn a lot of money but we don't know if he can really sustain that knowing Elon sometimes he will go bullish and not, but good things to see his name again back at the top since for sure curiosity in business side will float and think about on what action will be made by elon to sustain the top ranking where he is on.

Also I'm curious to know if he will get his ass back on bitcoin and create noise again here.

Elon Musk often become twitter trending page, what he tweets even though it looks meaningless but always gets great attention from the public, the wealth he gets is of course because he always dares to innovate and the biggest thing that makes his money skyrocket of course is because he entered crypto.

     I believe this man, Elon Musk will really be able to sustain this for a long long time. Heck, I even think that he'd be doing far more better as time goes by. Because this guy, although not famous with the common folks that got fcked in following his tweets blindly, is such a great visionary and possesses a tough diamond-like heart in terms of making hard decisions and most importantly sticking to those decisions despite norms or the contrasting opinions of different people around him. This is what led him to where he is now and will still be the traits that would be leading him to greater heights.

For a while now, the race has been on between Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk for the conveted number one spot with Bill Gates taking a sideline look. These two have successfully taken that spot from Gates. I think being number one richest person is not something that stays forever. At a time while growing up, I thought that spot was reserved for Bill Gates alone because he was always clinching it year in, year out. Now, I know no one has that sole right. Fortunes do change quite alright, just like time and season. I guess Elon has this rise in fortune because of his alleged activities in the pump and dump of Dogecoin and Bitcoin he has been recently involved in. Any other wealthy person who bought Bitcoin during its dumped period should be in huge gains now, and Elon isn't any exception. Let's just hope his fortunes don't nosedive once the bear rally sets in.

Actually, this changes all the time. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are in the race to be the richest person in the world. Some time ago, Elon Musk lost his place to Jeff Bezos but now it seems like he reclaimed it. Amazon is the most valuable company in the world now. But still, Elon Musk succeeds in being the richest person. But of course the reason is that Elon Musk is not the owner of only Tesla.  ;D

Doesnt matter on how much they do own in terms of companies and assets because it is calculated overall but i wont be surprised if there were assets which hadnt been proclaimed or tell out.

Crypto has made Elon Musk the world's richest person, and I'm sure more and more people are getting rich because of Crypto but they don't show it publicly, I'm sure the founders of Ethereum or Binance are also world's richest people at least in the top 20, this is a positive inspiration that we too must be successful like them.

I can't say precisely if Elon musk will be able to stay at this rank forever because before now Bill Gates has been and we see the recent drop he had, so we don't know another person who will override him in his position.

The op is saying that Elon Musk added extra $23 billion to his wealth, and is as rich as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined together, not that his worth is only $23 billion; currently he is worth over $200 billion. If Satoshi Nakamoto happens to be on that list, he’s not going to make the top ten list of the world’s richest people, rather he would be somewhere around the top twenty list.

The least on the top ten is worth over $100 billion dollars. I would put Satoshi around 16th on the list of the richest people. But that’s still a good position, and in the future he’s likely to be worth more than this as the value of Bitcoin will keep increasing in future.

Elon musk is an example of a person who deserves to be imitated, dares to take strange policies and decisions but now everyone knows that strange thinking often makes people successful, Elon musk's greatest wealth is of course because he dared to enter cryptocurrencies so that his assets increased hundreds or even thousands of percent in a year or less.

I have to say 230+ billion dollars is the richest we have seen so far officially, but nowhere close to what the future rich people will be. We do not have that much money right now that we could attribute it to people who are rich right now, it is the future we are talking about. One day someone will come up with something new, a new technology, a brand new idea, something that will shock the world, for maybe a decade or even longer he will just be selling pieces of his company to keep making it better and eventually he will worth over a trillion dollars.

We don't know about this, Buffet isn't the same as Elon. So, there is no guarantee Buffet can be successful in crypto. Elon has done a brave decision to invest in crypto, buying Bitcoin for Tesla and he also used a good strategy. Elon even used his popularity to influence crypto market, it was a crazy thing. The question is can he sustain his wealth. Well, in my honest opinion he can. Lots of untapped resources are his targets so it could being him lots of more money. Space tour could be one if his SpaceX succeeded in their missions. Another thing is his global internet made also possible by his SpaceX. Aside from that, his boring company could also attribute some to his wealth soon once its fully operational.

Elon Musk is a great that deserves an accolade. He had really done well becoming great again. Although his contention in the cryptocurrency market is what had pushed some investors to there kneels. Crypto is a game of the strongest. If you are weak, you may end up losing your funds if care is not taken. Elon had strive had to get to the stage of becoming the greatest.

That is the way things work, for example the case of bitcoin is similar, many complain that the price of bitcoin does not reflect its everyday usage and in a way they are right but that is because the people that are buying bitcoin are seeing the potential that bitcoin has, now in the case of bitcoin I think that potential is going to eventually materialize, while in the case of Tesla many other car manufacturers will eventually catch up to them and the price of the stock will eventually go down.

Of course he can; Elon Musk isn't simply a regular guy who became rich. He's a genius, and he's used his knowledge to rise to the top of the financial ladder. With the current state of finance, he has invested in crypto, which has yielded significant earnings. Tesla, his company, made a large profit in Bitcoin, which they invested heavily in the second quarter of 2021. So obviously, he can sustain himself from being at the top of the leaderboards.

He is real good mind person and doing some great things which will help him for staying on top for some long time because innovative mind peoples can change things very quickly for their own sack his few projects are unique like already mentioned if his SpaceX succeeded then surely he is going to be touch some more highs.

Everything depends on Tesla shares' price as Elon Musk's capital is mostly invested in this company, so if the price remains high, Elon will keep his position of the richest man. I think that he will continue invest in crypto and he will investigate this market more deeply as it is really interesting so he will work on some crypto projects I think.

Our world is world is so fast-changing today that I think Musk will be replaced earlier. I hope losing the top position among the richest people on Earth will not make him frustrated much. I mean, if he was that kind of person he'd hardly achieve today's heights. I bet he doesn't care about those rankings, just doing his job and getting them as bonuses.

Also, I doubt very much that Elon Musk will ever succumb to actually selling any of his stock or Bitcoins, unless he absolutely has to. I remember watching a interview video where he explains to the rude karens of the world, that he does not pay taxes because he does not sell his stock. Even when his stock was plummeting and all hope seemed to be lost. He never sold.

He only sells if he has to, because of the expiring options. Other than that, he has always been very very loyal. So I feel that his Bitcoin will be hodled, possibly for the next 100 years.

Well, some of us just can't do that. From time to time we encounter situations when we need cash and we don't have it, and there's no place to borrow from. That's when we cash out, even knowing perfectly that the price is much lower than it will(most likely) be in several months.

But this guy, Elon Musk, never being short of cash, he can afford such behavior.

I can fully understand and appreciate the situation of people who need to cash out to finance their own lives, that is very familiar to me as I have experienced it before as well. What I meant by my last post was that Elon Musk has poured his trust into his ventures and has not shown cowardice or pulled out even when most of us would have experienced great fear and cashed out. He has also never been driven by greed or selfishness. So what I meant by being like Elon Musk is being a grounded, steady person who sees things through, to the end.

Nothing lasts forever and we will never know until when it will happen, Musk is a great person and is never satisfied with his achievements and in his journey there are bound to be obstacles or problems that he faces and he can turn things around.
But whatever the reason, everything has a time because above the sky there is another sky that is better and only time will tell, and basically Musk is a great person and has the character of a person who never gives up, is focused, has a very high entrepreneurial spirit. Humorous, humble, generous and always consider mistakes as learning and idealism.
And if Musk can keep his character, I think he'll be fine.

With all those positive traits you've mentioned about Elon, there's no reason that he can't sustain his spot. But we are only looking at its present status, we really don't know what will happen in between. Its either Elon will gain more huge profits from all his investments that makes him even richer or the other way around, most of his investments will fall due to some unexpected reasons. No one really holds the future, we can only tell once we cross the bridge.

For now, Elon is very capable to sustain his present position, but it will be uncertain how will Elon look in the future.

I believe there is no such thing like permanent, so no one can always stay on the top. Maybe now and for the new few years, elon can sustain his spot being the richest but once new technology arrives and globally being used by the people, I don't think he can sustain his position. Especially now where there are a lot of things happening in tech world, bright ideas that can truly shape the future, things like AR/VR and etc., which for me might dominate all things in the next 15 to 20 years. So I have no doubt elon can sustain his spot being the wealthiest. Even Jeff Bezos soon can't once what I'm saying truly arrives.

With this I absolutely agree, and I'm not joking here. In real life you won't find a person that has never been driven by greed or selfishness.
