They work fine for me. Have a couple of units with 2 of these for 8 gpus no issue. Have seen others use 3 of them for 12 gpus. This splitter can be used on motherboards that have 6 Pci-e ports and only detect 4 or 5 video cards. This splitter can be used on motherboards that have 6 Pci-e ports and only detect 4 or 5 video cards. It varies…dpending on cpu and mobo chipset used. But cost is low so i have several extra. In most cases i can get to work no issue but i do have a couple of boards that simply refuse to see more gpus. So it is one of those thing you have to actually try it in your specific setup. Good news is no drivers or software to load. Either works or doesnt.
