Bitcoin is extremely precious for me to spend. You never know that if you pay for a play station console using bitcoin today, the same amount of bitcoin can buy you buy you a car in 2 next two years. So I personally wouldn't prefer paying with bitcoin for anything at all.

I would rather use USDT or BUSD or any other stablecoins. Because their value is fixed as per the market rate if the underlying asset and don't have extreme upside or downside potential.

I use BTC to top up my phone and to buy some pc hardware every now and then in some online stores

I have some XMR and LTC  but they've been sitting on the sidelines for so long, they're part of my hodl stash (along side btc obviously) and i'm not toughing that stash for a very long time (need a really good altcoin season to see some profits), plus, Monero isn't as widely accepted as you'd expect so it's not like i have many places to go to and spend some xmr, same with Zcash, privacy coins are a no go for many stores that accept crypto as a payment method

At present I'm a fiat guy, because there is very few shops that accept cryptocurrency. Most of the time I used to convert bitcoin to fiat and use it. If there exist a way to spend directly without much of transaction fee as fiat then by that time I'll use cryptocurrencies. Today only explored and came to know about the application Krypto which has been developed to pay with cryptocurrency on any shops that has got the upi payment option. Hope this growth will progress in the upcoming years as a big userbase is getting created in my country after the pandemic.

I wish i could.
I've user use bitcoin for buying in game cash in one of browser games last year but the fee is crazy expensive. I think if someone want to open bitcoin or crypto payment, they have to make sure the fee is not higher than the sale item itself.
I heard bitcoin lightning network has already solve this problem but haven't try it yet.

For local payments I use fiat. For international payments I use Bitcoin but I add the amount I spend almost instantly.

I am investing in BTC like you would do in SIP. So, I am not really looking for ways to spend my coins.

But come to think of it, I could start keeping some stable coins for online payments but I don't know which ones are more widely accepted.

Plus stable coins are not really stable. Their value could be '0' tomorrow.

And they are difficult to spend. Not sure but I think you need Ether for gas fee to spend Tether. Which is another problem.

There is a thing binance card
I have it but didn't use that much yet.
But my friends are so excited about it (nice rate to fiat currencies, no fee, and good atm withdrawals)

I also use Litecoin more often for payments, in addition to the cheap fees and very fast service. But in certain situations I also use bitcoin and ETH as other payment options, because I think that's the only safe and I can trust so far. But still enjoy using Litecoin payments.

Yes, I do use bitcoin for payments. There's no need to be afraid of spending it for payments. I'm aware of its value and preciousness but if I have to spend, I'll spend.
That's one use of bitcoin and as long as you're not going to spend all that you've got and the amount you're paying is like pennies then there's nothing to hold back.

I still use stablecoins as my payment and for other coins only trade for profit. Stablecoins become final coins which I then exchange for my country's FIAT currency and also as payments for goods and services to my friends.
Bitcoin is still very much worth spending. Bitcoin is such a volatile asset that I simply take advantage of every purchase at a low price and then sell it at a high price.

Though bitcoin is illegal in my country, So there is no shop or any service that will be given via bitcoin payment. In an incident, I gave a treat to my friends at one of my friends' restaurants. My friend asked me if I should pay the bill with bitcoin for him. If I pay, he will give me a 10% extra discount. Though the discount doesn't matter to me, I did a transaction as a payment and it felt good. When I paid him the $135 payment, the bitcoin price was $18k. He is still holding that amount now. Just think how much his $135 now is.

I'm only able to spend BTC because none of the online services I use accept other altcoins, or even Lightning.

Among the list though, the only coins I would consider paying with besides BTC would be stablecoins. ETH transaction fees are crap, and I don't see the need to hold any of the other coins.

In my country still bitcoin is not used in payment services but i use it online in small things. Like I normally do recharge in my mobile with bitcoin only.
Rather than that Still I am not using bitcoin or any other crypto on a regular basis to pay.

If available I pay lightning. If not the coin I use tends to vary based on the amount of the transaction.
For small purchases, I do use doge a lot, for mid size LTC / other alts or BTC if the fees are low.
Also at times it depends on the conversion rate that the payment gateway is showing.
At lot of times it can be a far amount above or below the average and you bet I am going to take advantage of that. :-)

There are way too few places in my country where crypto payments are accepted and last time I've tried them, they were be highly overpriced (+8..10%).
So unfortunately direct payments with crypto are not much of a choice for me. I use sometime crypto card though, but that doesn't really count as crypto payment..

I only ever tried using bitcoin to pay for something in less than 5 occasions. If there is an option for me to use bitcoins on a payment without being gutted by transactions fees and whatnot, I'd do it just for the experience. Sadly though, there aren't many such options, and it's economically and practically better to just hold your bitcoins and convert to pay for fiat on the things that you buy. At this point in time, bitcoin is extremely important to keep, due to the continuous uptrend it has been receiving.

I have a few food merchants that accept Bitcoin as a payment option ....so I buy lunch every day with Bitcoin. Other than Bitcoin, I deposit some ETH and TRX at my favorite casino to gamble and to have some fun.

I am lucky, because my employer gave me the option to pay me in Bitcoin (BTC) .... but I only accept 15% of my salary in Bitcoin... because there are too many of the expenses that I need to pay... that does not accept Crypto currencies.  :(

Most of the times, if there's option for USDT (TRON chain) & Litecoin, I go with any of these as fee is quite cheap. Fee with BTC/ETH is a bit high when you consider paying for something. Well, when BTC fee is low enough, I don’t look for alternative.

Bitcoin 97% of the time, but that's not my preference. Would prefer a faster, cheaper (but decentralized) alt - ltc, dgb, xvg.

With the potential for crypto fluctuations, I never use it as a payment. What's more, because I really don't have anything to pay for using crypto. Also, you should use Bitcoin to pay for items that won't have a high selling value over time. Until now I still use fiat money for any payment process. Except if there are people who have the same profession and I know maybe if the time is going to make a transaction I will pay for some things with crypto.

I used to pay with bitcoin especially buying digital goods, game credits and regarding my hosting account in namecheap, until it came to this price range and I stopped paying instead I used paypal and other alternatives.
At this moment that it reaches higher price, I have hold and wait till get profit instead ;)

There is no place or online store that accepts Bitcoin payments where I live. Even if there is, maybe I will think again if the level of trust in the store is very minimal. And also in terms of value it is very suitable to be exchanged using bitcoin.
I still use the Fiat payment option in the online shop and they don't provide Bitcoin or any other crypto. For me bitcoin is for the long term as an asset that I have to collect and don't waste it just to pay for a pile of stuff.

Depends on what coin you are trying to accumulate on and if you do find out that LTC is something that is fast and cheap then go ahead. It wasnt really bad a consideration on getting Litecoin but as you can see

on most people suggestion on here is that they do tend to accept the main crypto which is Bitcoin since they do know its future potential use and adoption which might result into more further profits

when the market tends to pump up and this is one of the benefits that you could really get but although it isnt really an assurance though.

When it comes to payments with cryptocurrencies, I prefer Bitcoin mostly. But I prefer to use Bitcoin Lightning where it is available. Because it makes a really big difference in terms of fees and speed. It really gets boring when I don't use Lightning Network as I have to wait for a much longer time to transact. And I can come across surprising fees too.

When I can't use the Lightning Network, I pay with bitcoin, cause that's the only electronic asset I'm holding. Otherwise, I enjoy the comfort of our second-layer solution which is extremely fast, cheap and practical.

I find no reason of existence for Litecoin and Dogecoin other than speculative. I also find Zcash useless since there's Monero. Ethereum isn't going to ever scale. Stablecoins are crap. I've heard some good opinions about Nano, but couldn't understand a thing from its whitepaper.

As for the last poll option, everyone's using fiat. I guess that doesn't make them fiat guys, right?  ???

It's very obvious that cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin is used for exchange of goods and services depends on you domination or areas of concentrations towards your objectives via payments of any kinds

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.
Personally i like payment with bitcoin because it's the coin among other cryptocurrencies i started with in terms of transaction, but in the aspect of charges or fee, litecoin is more better than bitcoin base on it's transaction fees

I am partially paying with Bitcoin for paying bills and fiat for the usual transaction outside my home when I tend to travel a little bit, for the obvious reasons that there isn't that much adoption of Bitcoin just yet, so I do not have any particular measures to be able to pay with Bitcoin, although with the use of custodial wallets to cash out my Bitcoin, I am still somehow "indirectly" paying it with my Bitcoin. Maybe not the usual p2p transaction that many think of

I voted for bitcoin, ethereum and stable coins, I have also used dogecoin in the past as well as it is fast and cheap as well, but since Musk began all of this supposed obsession with dogecoin I have preferred to stay away from it, now while bitcoin transactions can be expensive we know this is the coin that is accepted everywhere where cryptocurrencies are accepted, I have not used stable coins and ethereum too much recently but I have done in the past and I never had problems with them either.

I used to pay with ethereum previously whenever i bought gift card for purchasing new games or other in-game items. But litecoin is also better asset as of now rather than ethereum as transection fee is high on ethereum mainnet. If any platform supports TRC20 USDT (stablecoin) or layer2 based any stablecoins, than that's also prefer than spending precious bitcoin from my point of view.

I like to use stablecoins just like everyone here because of zero chance of last minute manipulation in price to save myself the extra price that I'd need to pay if the sent coins (of other types) do not arrive in receiver's wallet on time. Yeah I do use USDT (in TRC-20 chain) to pay my friends, family and merchants if I buy something online through them.

I see so few places actually accepting Bitcoin so far that I had to go for the last option. In the few cases where it is available for niche goods and services, crypto can be an effective method of payment. Even cases like moving money overseas whether your on holiday or business can be very useful to avoid additional exchange rate fees with banks. However in day to day life it is simply too much hassle, when I go to a shop to buy some food each week a credit card is simply too straight forward to use. Things are developing though, more and more businesses are adding crypto to their accepted payment methods every month so it will become more ubiquitous.

Well we are the same but I only used to pay bitcoin when the price is in bull trend but if the price has a correction, I will not use bitcoin as payment --I use this to store value and keep it into my wallet. Lightning network as I know is good for making transactions in bitcoin, I like to use this feature of bitcoin but I did not try it yet because I am afraid of having a mistake. But base on what I have understood, it is very easy to use using Electrum wallet and for a bunch of tiny transactions.

I so far only use cryptocurrency as a commodity asset, for trading and investing only.
So, when asked about buying or using crypto directly for any payment, so far, I have not.

Actually, I may be able to use it to buy some coins from abroad, yeah it may be, sometimes.
I really hope that I can use it in my country easily someday, but the govenrment in my country even have said that it will be impossible for 10 years later accept cryptocurrency as a currency  :D

But if I have that chance and go to the payment, I will probably choose the cryptos that have low fees.

I've used Litecoin and many companies including refill companies are accepting litecoin but if you use Bitcoin Segwit then you're paying a small fee in Bitcoins around 0.1$ at the time I made the last transaction and it cost me around 0.000001 BTC or 100 satoshis.

I'd say use Both but when the Bitcoin's mempool isn't loaded with transactions and the last few blocks are getting confirmed at minimum 1sat/B then use this fee or 2 or even 3sat/B, It isn't a lot if paying for some service that accepts only bitcoins.

Currently living in a country where cryptocurrency wasn't legally adopted but good thing it also not prohibited or should I say maybe there's nothing more serious action from our government over this matter because those who are in position are still busy to figure out how to respond the contagious virus and how to recover economic crisis so meaning to say I haven't encountered such kind of services here in my country where they accepted crypto token as a mode of payment. But if ever I would encountered such thing I would also choose those cryptos that are low fees and stable coins like usdt. Did you consider the fact that many of the users in this forum may not be living in countries that are "accepting" crypto and having marketplaces that allow crypto as a mode of payment? Of course this is an internet poll, no real seriousness there.

I can do recharges using Bitrefill and buy giftcards for merchants to spend on but I still consider this a secondary method to spend crypto, I would defenitely like to see merchants accepting crypto directly and me being able to spend it there.

Altcoins are even less known to merchants. Their first choice is always bitcoin. Someone may argue that converting to bitcoin is easy but again why put in a third party in between?

My country also prohibits using crypto for payments, so for now I only use crypto as an investment. I hold several cryptos that I consider potential
and could be my retirement plans in the future. Actually I have experience several times using crypto to buy an item, but I do it secretly, like I said
the reason is because the government forbids it. I did it because at that time I bought an item, but the person selling the item charges in Bitcoin.
The two of us are actually friends, and I know the person quite well, then I believe in making transactions with Bitcoin payments at that time.
I feel good when I get to experience using Bitcoin as payment, even though I know it's against the law. I actually really hope the government
in my country can change its mind and legalize crypto as a means of payment, but I know the chance is very small.

Currently I still use fiat as a means of payment, because in my country there is no acceptance of payments using cryptocurrencies and the country does not recognize bitcoin as a legal medium of exchange. so i became bitcoin as asset to invest and seek profit in short term and long term.

Using Litecoin as the payment will be an alternative to using bitcoin as the fee is not too high. But I do not use crypto as the payment to buy a product or pay for some services because I prefer to convert to fiat or buy a Paypal balance from my sellers.

I am trying to save my bitcoin and not use it for paying something because I see the potential of bitcoin price rising so high is wide open. After what happen to bitcoin reaching $64k, I believe that the price will increase more than that price.

Presently No, majority of my assets are in alts which can't be use for transaction, I have come across some few online sites that accept btc for payment but am more comfortable using fiat for now, besides btc price is volatile and since I don't have much of it I don't plan on spending the little I own on items online when fiat can still serve that purpose, I will rather hold them as assets for a better price.

Yeah BTC payment in some sites are not confortable to use, they usually not using the latest update of btc price but it's higher than the current price also with the transaction fee is crazy.
I think it's better to use USDT payment if available, still make sense if we want to make any payment transfer but ofcourse with low fee.
Cryptocurrency still need many improvement if they really want to replace fiat in the future

Agree that it is far better to keep it than to spend it now, as the price will undoubtedly rise. I believe that a ton of websites are now using those cryptos because they are so well-known, but the issue is the higher fees and the fact that they are extremely volatile. If you want to hold your alts, then Fiat is a great option. Crypto  is both an investment and a fun way to keep just to watch the price change. For the time being, I prefer fiat to alts because they serve the same purpose of payment; I'd rather keep my alts than spend them now.

Have you ever tried crypto payment transactions with ETC and ZIL, I saw both crypto nothing in the vote, apart from cheaper fees both crypto are super fast in the payment process.

If you don't believe me, maybe you can try, I guarantee you'll like it, I've done it hundreds of times in payments with ETC and ZIL.

For now I am more comfortable in paying using the two crypto that I mentioned.

Maybe in this case it has to do with transfer speed and cost. Although I've never used LTC and ZIL, I do use DGB a lot. Although sometimes not everyone accepts, but several times I negotiated and was accepted. Because the network is not congested, so it is quite fast and the cost is quite cheap. If I'm not mistaken it costs around 50$/worth about 1100DGB at a cost of 0.2 DGB. Although this is like a P2P transaction it is not an official transaction, because my country forbids using crypto as a legal tender.

So far, I'm using TRX and BNB. You know that BNB is very popular right now, and even people are using BSC for it. however, for transactions between exchanges to exchanges, I use TRX. some exchanges only use 1 or 2 TRX for one transaction. so I think, it is the cheapest transaction fee.

Depend on the availability of which i am dealing because in my country it is Bitcoin in demand or mostly accepted but i also use Ethereum in some cases in the past.

also In some local trades we are dealing using XRP because our local wallet supports this still and having very cheap fees and fast transaction.

But what I am aiming is the time that all crypto will be available so i can choose which to use from my folio .

Well Binance coin is still on hold in my local wallet but there is a rumor that in this year it will be open so this is also one of my options .

I also do the same choosing to store it instead of spending it using crypto, and another reason is because in the country where I live it is not available or prohibited from using crypto as a means of payment.
so I'm more comfortable keeping it because I believe in the future it will be much more expensive and even though I need it I have to convert it and even then rarely do it, because I think as long as I can use fiat to do whatever I want why should I use crypto which I think will be more expensive in the future .

I am interested what do you guys use for payments.

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.

Doing this little research because I am preparing project
I will appreciate honest answers and comments

Thank you
Using Litecoin as the payment will be an alternative to using bitcoin as the fee is not too high.

Litecoin is indeed an altcoin that has low fees for transactions, but to my knowledge, people who use it as payment is still rare. Most use Litecoin
to send funds, the problem is that it is still very rare for merchants to accept payments with Litecoin, so Litecoin is rarely used for payments.
Most merchants only accept payments with Bitcoin, but we know Bitcoin transaction fees are quite expensive. With the price of Bitcoin reaching $64k
it is better to save rather than spend it on buying something. Because there is a possibility that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and reach
new ATH at the end of this year. But if there is an urgent need, I can't help but be forced to sell some of the Bitcoins I have. Because in my country
it is forbidden to use crypto for payments, I will convert my Bitcoins to fiat first.

From the few transaction I have done using crypto I only meet Bitcoin users and less of altcoins. Although most altcoins have less gas fee compared to Bitcoin but the feel more comfortable with Bitcoin which requires me swapping my altcoins to Bitcoin each time I need to do some transaction.

Another coin I have transacted with is XRP but I think it's only twice. All along it's been Bitcoin all they way and stable coin Usdt when ever it involves boarder transaction

For now I am more comfortable in paying using the two crypto that I mentioned.

altcoins are rarely accepted. i have not seen any merchants going to accept ETC or ZIL. if an altcoin is going to be accepted, it has to be used by the community, dogecoin is being used in casinos that why there are some businesses that use and accept it.

there are more merchants accepting ETH than any altcoins but it's got to be BTC that businesses like the most.

I use Bitcoin to pay some of my online subscriptions and gift cards if I want to buy certain products that'll be on sale. Back then I usually convert my crypto to fiat since there's a lot of exchanges that didn't have KYC but now I spend my Bitcoin directly now that a lot of services are starting to accept Bitcoin. I remember paying with an altcoin that one time, they also accept Bitcoin but for some reason, their payment processor didn't have the option available while I was making the payment.

Just see the profit and return of holding Bitcoins , don't we all know a guy who spended Bitcoins for some pizza?
Yeah the value are too much inflated as compared to the older days , imagine we buy something with Bitcoins today and the value increases then we would be just overpaying  for the services or good we buy , or take it this way if someone runs a business would they be accepting Bitcoins when the bubble forms and is about to burst? Would they be willing to risk that the value of Bitcoin would be going to get higher and accept huge payments? .

I personally believe that Bitcoins have developed  to such an extent that majority of the people use them as an asset rather than using them as a currency,

I usually use the TRON USDT network to transfer money to my friends or buy something from them, sometimes I have to convert USDT to DOGE because I have a client and he only accepts DOGE. I only use crypto payments for people I know, I still haven't had a chance to pay for crypto in shops and restaurants in my hometown because crypto is not yet popular here.

Yes definitely, I used Bitcoin to purchase a few things. For example, the domain name from Namecheap for me and for others as well. I have bought an Amazon gift card from the forum with Bitcoin. As I can remember I have used Bitcoin in these two things, I never used any other coin like litecoin or Ethereum to purchase anything. If you are wondering to integrate a payment gateway on your platform then I will suggest using Bitcoin. It is most secured and I am not sure if it is possible for you but you may use a lightning network to reduce fees.

Paying with crypto? No not at all.
Paying using crypto? Yes but I'm converting it into our own currency and that is what I'm using to pay some bills or expenses here.

I'm involved into crypto for some time already but I never tried to pay some things online using crypto. I wish I could have to but right now, merchants that are accepting crypto are very few. I choose "Fiat guy" since not many establishments are using crypto. Maybe if the pandemic will be gone, I might try to explore different establishments in malls and ask if they are accepting crypto :).

Its easier with fiat too although I can find some stres and vet clinics accepting BTC in my town I prefer to pay them in fiat because every satoshi counts. If I have to trade my btc to fiat, I will do it and avoid making transactions with BTC as much as possible.

Its best to just use the banks app whcih you can scan QR code in paying.

That's great, I do remember buying league of legends gift cards and Amazon Gift from 2 websites that accepted bitcoin as payment for those Cards.
There were other websites but they had bad reviews so I avoided them.

Regarding fee you're correct also, Segwit is the best option right now average transaction to get confirmation of 1 requires 6 V/B which costs around 600-700 Satoshis.

But if you can wait for a day then 1 Sat/B fee can also work it will cost around 100-150 Satoshis which is not that much.

Yes, but not in a form of Bitcoin as I converted it to our local currency. It was not yet accepted in our place and so it gives me the reason to do it, I'd never hold like the others, I really spend it all. This is actually how it means to be because of me, Bitcoin is not an asset but a form of currency in which we can enjoy them spending like fiat.
But anyway, we can do anything we want with our Bitcoin. We have come in here for different reasons or purposes.

I'm afraid to spend bitcoin for the moment because for me I would choose to hold it for a long term.
Sometimes we do feel so.
But of course, the state has its own reasons why (like in my country, where Bitcoin is legal as a commodity asset for trading, investment, or other activities, but not as a payment tool such as money) gives such rules.
Maybe this will be related to the readiness of the country, both from the government, technology, and also the community.
At least in my country, it has been said by the government if, in these 10 years, Crypto may not be used as a currency or a valid payment. Because it is related to decentralization and complicated rules that might occur later.
However, let's wait and see.  :)

Altcoins are not accepted here yet as means of payment, so im using bitcoin to pay my bills and to top up my phone through our local wallet. Though we cant directly use bitcoin to buy goods but somehow its convenient since we can easily convert it to fiat.

However, at this point im refraining myself to use my bitcoin because of the current price.

Its best to just hold since the market is bullish and its more wise to not spend or else I might regret it.

Once we can get the favourable coins as payment, we will stick to that coin and not change with the other coin because we feel feel-good to use that coin. But maybe only a few people will use bitcoin as payment, especially if they have many bitcoins, because with the high price of bitcoin now, they consider selling bitcoin than to use as payment. That will give them a big profit so they can have the money in fiat.

I have never used any of these cryptocurrencies as a way to make payment for anything online before, but I have used it bitcoin to accept payment for so many services, which I would say is quite similar to also making payment with it for something; because if there are no people who are ready to offer services and accept bitcoin as payment, then there wouldn’t be those that would pay with it.

And so far it is only bitcoin that I have seen people use for making payment for products and services, and no one has talked about using Ethereum or any other. If I am going to be using any of them in future to buy anything, I am sure it is going to be Bitcoin or Tron, or even Ethereum.

What an interesting find. People pay a lot with BTC than any other alts  ???

I would have thought to be on the safe side people would convert what they needed into stable and use that as payment. Most merchants now accept stablecoins and there's no risk of devaluation or hyperinflation. That's my reasoning anyway.

Still super interesting to see how people use their alts like LTC and BNB to pay for things - you learn everyday!

I have a feeling that merchants claiming to be adopting Bitcoin would almost instantly convert them still into fiat if not stablecoins for safety purposes. The volatility of the price of BTC could be too much of a burden for a certain business to still be alive. It is like an eggshell business.

I also use Litecoin more often for payments, in addition to the cheap fees and very fast service. But in certain situations I also use bitcoin and ETH as other payment options, because I think that's the only safe and I can trust so far. But still enjoy using Litecoin payments.
Actually the habit factor can also determine someone to be able to use something. but i've never used litecoin myself so not much i know. if now it's clear that ethereum is still paying quite expensive so you have to look for other alternative platforms and usually now used are the bsc or trx platforms.
once again the low cost factor is very important in all transactions that we will use and keep it at the same speed and obviously as safe as you say.

BNB provides a cheaper fee compared to the other cryptocurrencies you mentioned above, I as well use BNB a lot for transactions since it's really cheap compared to other coins, though I use Bitcoin for such payments if the online store only accepts Bitcoin or ETH, I wouldn't want to use Ethereum though because of the gas fee, my go-to cryptocurrencies will definitely be Bitcoin, BNB and Ethereum.

I have not used Litecoin before although I have heard that it is very fast than Bitcoin and also has cheaper fees. So far what I’ve been using for making payments are Bitcoin, ethereum, and Tron. Among these three I think I like Tron because it is usually fast and also has a really cheap fees that I have to pay for the transactions, unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum where I would have to be paying a lot of fees for a single transaction.

I once had to pay around $15 for a transaction of around $120 for Bitcoin, so at times the transaction fees that you have to pay for Bitcoin is usually too much, although sometimes it also reduces as well, and that’s the same thing with Ethereum.

Unfortunately, it is forbidden to pay with crypto in my country. We can invest in it, we can work on the crypto market, but we are not allowed to pay with it for any goods or services. But if I had such an opportunity, I would choose stable coins for it, as it is a stable asset and I would know exactly how muck I pay. What is more, I prefer holding Bitcoin, so it is rather an investment asset to me than a means of payment.

What country is this? I think it is something difficult this  because if the country will ban bitcoin completely meaning all sent, received and earning  is prohibited which mostly they do this on the banned the bitcoin in countries. But there are still people in the countries that they invest illegal and also in secret since the government will not know. I am glad that here in our country is they not banning bitcoin so it is good to us

I have a feeling that merchants claiming to be adopting Bitcoin would almost instantly convert them still into fiat if not stablecoins for safety purposes. The volatility of the price of BTC could be too much of a burden for a certain business to still be alive. It is like an eggshell business.
True, maybe they will understand the volatility will change with time and therefore hold some to sell later. In either case it ends up being the same for them as it was to the previous owner, waiting to sell it for a higher price, in the meantime the previous owner got a chance to use the money to buy something they needed.

Although I have seen that volatility in the bitcoin market tends to remain below 15% every year maximum. Therefore a <100$ transaction would not make much difference in price when the price rise or falls. It is not like gold where you should wait for the market to drop before you buy it.

Markets for cryptocurrencies are typically unpredictable, and the amount you pay now may not be the price you pay tomorrow.
Like I said, a low value transaction that you would likely do for a daily necessity will not be influenced too much by the daily change in price. Some days can be extreme for the markets too but that is lesser in frequency than general.

i using those 3 currencies (bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin) to get a few services from online, but now i avoid to use btc and eth because of high transaction fee, ltc is making my work easier because it's a quite lower cost network.

Currently the coins that I often use for transactions are BNB, ethereum and Polygon, I rarely use bitcoin because the transaction fees on exchanges are very high up to 0.0003 btc or around $19 per transaction, whereas with BNB I can send money for under $3 if from exchanges and under $1 if using TRUST Wallet.

As for now some of the establishments in my country are supported with the use of the bitcoin payment but it's just limited stores mostly on the fiat currency payment some of them don't want the crypto payment because it's volatile well unless if the platform has the fixed rate of the payment. In terms of payment to some of my known friends make a ripple (xrp) payment if they need to pay ir debts which are good for some of them to get a ride of the market volatility.

The interesting part is not what you pay in but the exchange service used for the permanent, considering the rate of transaction charges, you can exchange any coin using different exchanges but the transaction charges is the maajor determinant, as for me i used binance to perform my transactions in bitcoin, all other coins i exchanged to bitcoin which is my desirability.

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.

Doing this little research because I am preparing project
I will appreciate honest answers and comments

Thank you

the Only option in My country is Bitcoin , ethereum and also Ripple in which can easily use with our local wallets so this means each coins has a value for me using as payment.

but also there are limited use in my place so I may choose conversion to Fiat first before paying .
so what i choose in Poll are the coins I literally use.

Well, that's basically the same as spending fiat after being converted from crypto.
You will never going to experience an actual transaction of cryptocurrency like XRP, ETH, or BTC which you might going to pay much or less depends on market volatility when you use stable coins to pay for something.
That's what majority prefers anyway to secure the funds.

Give it a try and you'll see why Dash is the payments coin to use.

In my country being unable to transact using cryptocurrency it is strictly prohibited. We need a conversion to fiat first. Maybe some digital stores provide it, but not many networks, usually just dogecoin and bitcoin only.
not many accept bitcoin or another crypto for transactions. even in a country that doesn't prohibit it, I believe the use and adoption of Fiat will still be greater than the adoption of crypto for trading.
updates such as the use of crypto-assets such as bitcoin for transaction tools, I believe it all must go together. Of course, it will get a lot of opposition, but it must all be well thought out.
I have not used it as a means of payment. only crypto investment and trading assets.

crypto is still too valuable and carries a high risk of losing value due to fluctuations. I only made payments for services using bitcoin a few times and at that time the price of bitcoin was still very cheap. If I held on until now I would probably gain many times over. As you said, crypto is currently only used as a means of investing or trading commodities and some countries that are starting to adopt bitcoin as a means of payment still need to do a deeper study so that it doesn't have a bad impact on their country's economy.

Many business men and women in my country prefer bitcoin payment for any goods or services in the community because many bitcoin users are used to bitcoin payment than fiat money in the country. Those business men that is accepting bitcoin for payment are seriously doing well in their businesses than others that accept ethereum and BSC in the market. Bitcoin users are more popular than others altcoin users in the community because most of the people that are accepting bitcoin for payment are making more profits from their businesses than others that expect crypto for payment .
I prefer to buy goods from where bitcoin accepted for payment because, it easy for me to carry out my transaction successful without any delay.

Paying with crypto for sites that use cryptocurrency for joining or paying any specific fee is possible.

it seems that paying for something through crypto is becoming a trend right now because there are so many people doing that.
but don't know why I'm still not interested in using my assets in crypto for shopping or just buying something whether it's a need or a want.
I still love the assets that I have and prefer fiat or real money if I want an item or product.

Ever since my country has started to be lenient into BTC, merchants nowadays can utilize the option of demanding BTC as payment to their products. Not to mention, GRAB (which is Uber in the Philippines) has this option where you can convert your BTC into their credits so you could enjoy their services being offered to the public.

Though back in 2018-2020 I have constantly used BTC as payment (I viewed it as fiat also), I understood that the value of it is much more valuable due to its inflation and limited supply. That is why currently, I save most of my BTCs and HODL them for long-term value.

there is no acceptance of crypto payments in my country at the moment because crypto is still not licensed to use crypto as a means of payment. therefore we never use crypto as a means of payment. On the other hand, it is not appropriate to pay for an item with crypto because the transaction fees sometimes exceed the cost of the product itself.

Locally we also do not have any option to pay with crypto but many times i pay using USDT. There are number of reason why i choose usdt in online payments. One reason is that it is a stable coin and its price do not fluctuate. Secondly by using the trc20 chain, there is almost zero transaction fee which makes it best medium of payment.
If USDT is not an option available in some sites then i prefer ethereum over bitcoin.

Yes if you are spending your coin for payment .

No if you aren't using this for payment.

I voted for bitcoin, stablecoin, and none of the above because you did not list XRP which is one of the best online payment systems.

I usually move my crypto for gambling purposes, that's on a regular basis, my other assets are for investment purposes and I'm keeping it for long term. The adoption of crypto will grow in the future but we are or we belong to the early investors so it's wise if we also take the opportunity to hold for long term.

You can use bitcoin to pay online for the things you need without having to do transactions face to face, I am pretty sure that is what the majority is doing anyway as there are not many businesses that are accepting payments for bitcoin directly at the time, so if you have not made a transaction to buy something that you want I encourage you to do it as we must remember that bitcoin is not only an investment but the best form of money available at the moment.

Litecoin is what I use to do transactions. I used to use bitcoin for transactions, but with the high network fees, I switch to litecoin for payments. Most crypto payment gateways now accept it and the transactions are fast.

Payments through Binance network BSC is also very cheap atm.

Anyways have you tried Bitcoin segwit? if mempool isn't flooded with transactions then you'll likely the confirmation at 1sat/B which is around 100 satoshis.

It's better to check "mempool.space' before making transactions at 1sat/B.

As far as I remember, I only used btc for payment purposes but that was when btc was in the 20k level. Because today, if you try to use btc as payment, the fees are quite expensive so it is not practical. It is better to convert your crypto to fiat and then, just pay fiat. Because if there's available payment method as crypto, usually their charges are quite unreasonable. Also, as long as I can hold, I will hold. But if not, I convert my crypto to my local fiat and use it as payment, not really in direct payment of crypto.

But unfortunately, not all crypto gateway payments or platforms accept BSC networks. I really hope that this will spread soon to many more platforms, Because well we know that the fees of this BSC network are lower than others.
I am feeling very lucky in this case because now I can use my bitcoin and Litecoin for many things even I am not able to use this in my country but right now having few merchants those are accepting these as payment method from me and I already start few buying's with this all its give me really pleasure because sometime back I was not able to do these things which are now possible just because of crypto. Can buy many products which are not in my area and have difficult payment methods, but crypto bring all world in my one click.

If I want to spend something with crypto currency then the coins that are often used are usdt and busd because the coin is already classified as a stable coin so that we are more in use, but unlike other coins whose prices are always changing so that we arise regret when the price increases but the coin we have spent by buying certain items, like the history of bitcoin at that time can only get a pack of burgers with 1 bitcoin if the person concerned is still monitoring the current value of bitcoin then the biggest disappointment and regret he feels right now.

I use to pay with bitcoin in my country because there are many bitcoin users who accepted bitcoin as payment in their stores. They make more money from their business than those who are not accepting bitcoin for payment in the market. Bitcoin transaction is very easy to become successful for you to buy what ever you want from the store. Of course pyrchasing nfts or other alts is a different story, but if fiat is available, why not use it?

That's not the case in my country. We have to exchange it for fiat first. Cryptocurrencies are prohibited from being used as transactions here. That would make the image of cryptocurrency bad in the eyes of the government, we try to obey the rules with it. Cryptocurrencies here are commodity assets.
it seems that there are still many countries that do not allow the direct use of crypto to be used as a legal transaction tool. but if you want to trade or something like that then it is allowed as long as you have to exchange it to fiat first. but actually there is no problem with events like yours as long as there are no restrictions on crypto trading.

it does take quite a bit of time for the government to be able to accept crypto as a recognized tool. because each additional use for each transaction clearly requires regulation so that it cannot be misused or conflicted with the use of fiat itself.

Bitcoin is really precious for me too. I used Bitcoin and also altcoin as my digital asset . Now a days I'm not prefer any digital currency to pay my bills because of

 security issues.

  Bitcoin is my investment option.

But we can use stable coins like tether to buy things so we don't need to bear any lose here. I know only few shops are allow to use digital currencies now but we can definitely hope it will change soon and one day bitcoin will going to become future currency.

So, I think it's safe to say that I'm a fiat guy because I never experienced buying some sort of stuff or food using my coins. But it's good for me that I can maintain my asset because I always see it as a sort of investment rather than using it to pay stuffs and as long as I can, I won't touch it to buy any other things except for the returned profits I had from trades.

Until now I have never paid with cryptocurrencies, this is because in my country it is difficult to find outlets or online shops that accept crypto, I've seen online shops that accept bitcoin and ethereum, unfortunately when I tried to pay with ethereum it turned out to be a large transaction fee of up to around $9 and i cancel for crypto transaction.
those shops have to include others crypto there cheap transaction fee, as we know that about currently matic, tron and binance chain are very  precious.
from long time ago i did not use bitcoin and ethereum in online shop also on the others stuffs because of large fee and delaying to confirm the transaction.

I use BTC to buy literally 90% of what I buy.

You can buy 100s of online shops & restaurants gift cards, including Amazon, using BTC.

but my mostly use coin is Ripple because i have bought XRP when the price is super Low and now  i am enjoying the opportunity to use as payment tools.

I shopped several times on online sites that accept bitcoin, ethereum and USDT payments, I think cryptocurrencies are very good because of the faster transaction fees and lower fees, I hope that more online shops and fintechs accept cryptocurrencies for payment so that it can improve marketing .

Personally, I've been in this industry for over 5 years now and I don't recall myself using any coin as a medium for any transaction and aside from that, it's very hard to see any stores or shops that accepts bitcoin or any crypto as a mode of payment here in my country.

I believe you're not the only one having trouble finding merchants that accept crypto payments. Because many people also have trouble finding
merchants that accept payments. Moreover, in some countries forbid crypto to be used as payment, this is what most people end up using crypto
as a digital asset. Because my country is one of those that prohibits using crypto as payment, so if I want to buy something from the profits obtained
from trading crypto, I will first convert it to fiat. Even though I can't use crypto to buy things, I'm already grateful to be able to make money from crypto.

Number of merchants will grow as the popularity of bitcoin will grow.

The government will play a vital role in that, as without a regulation that supports crypto, that wouldn't be possible.
Right now in my country, there are only a few ways to spend crypto, not yet in our basic needs like food, but I still enjoy using it as I can buy online goods that are not in our country and most especially I can gamble using crypto without any problem.

I personally don't have much hope like that until crypto is actually legalized in the country where I live and is available in all shops and so on to be used as a means of payment, because the only legal tender is fiat currency.
because I prefer to use crypto, especially bitcoin as an asset or long term investment and prioritize holding it over spending it for satisfying profit.
and i can still convert it if i really need it to make a purchase and i can also gamble using crypto so everything is fine, and most importantly i can still use crypto in any way without strict ban from the government and apart from that i can have a promising additional income from crypto.

I'm curious what type of project you have going on that has to do with this question you pose.  I personally like paying for things in cryptocurrency.  I believe that is what cryptocurrency is about, an electronic payment system.  Sure there are now many other uses, but this is what it (bitcoin) was created for.  I use bitcoin, litecoin, and ethereum.

Because those merchants do not find the "right" reason to even include Bitcoin in their methods of accepting one. When they go digital transaction, they only think of DR and CR cards. When personal transactions, it is obvious that fiat comes first into their minds.
Unless they realized that decentralization is more than "no authorities involved", I don't think we will be able to find more merchants accepting Bitcoin soon.

When it comes to payment on online sites or physical stores, we have limited options. Most merchants will only accept bitcoin or USDT. They may not accept ripple, bnb or any other coin. So bitcoin and usdt are the most common crypto which can be used for the payments.

I normally buy online using crypto and prefer to pay in usdt using the trc20 network and save on transaction fee.

it is not easy to support bitcoin and adopt it as a legal tender like Fiat currency.
some countries do not provide full regulation to bitcoin because Bitcoin has a high risk of being used as the main currency. Bitcoin is full of speculation and high volatility, so it is still very risky for a drastic decline in value. The regulation of bitcoin in some countries has grown only to be limited to commodity trading.
Several other countries that accept bitcoin are still adapting the nature of bitcoin to their economic needs, such as El Salvador which has already accepted Bitcoin as a legal tender.

Yep, sometimes I pay using crypto which is bitcoin but now I'm holding it.

In the past years, bitcoin value is not that much so I'm using it as a payment method and that's the time also where BTC's market movement doesn't change a lot.

But rn, I don't use it too much, tx fees are very expensive.  ???

it's clear that can directly pay with crypto for purposes that we might also do using fiat. of course it is better to use it directly with crypto so that it obviously saves a few steps of work and may possibly reduce the burden of fees that must be incurred.
agree with you that there is no harm in trying to do while there is a chance to do so.
as long as it becomes easier and can cut the work that might be reduced, of course there is no harm in doing it and not reducing the essence of the purpose of what we are going to do.

Well, this is exactly what I am doing to do, I purchase online when I have profited in my holding bitcoin but when the price was down, I much prefer to hold my bitcoin rather than pay it on online store. That is right --bitcoin is hard to accumulate nowadays and it seems the price becomes more precious at this time and people perhaps regret seeing the price that we are in another ATH or another highest price level. But when the price goes up, cutting some profit is not wrong and that is the time I will use it or transfer to my bank account which is using fiat if there is a transaction online. Remember that there are too many things that alternate with bitcoin, for now --bitcoin for me is a valuable asset, not a mode of payment, sorry for that matter.

government support by legalizing crypto, it seems that many merchants will not dare to accept crypto payments. I believe that if all countries
in the world legalized crypto as a means of payment, many merchants would accept crypto payments. Moreover, the popularity of Bitcoin is
quite high since Bitcoin managed to reach new ATH twice this year. So a lot of people are looking into Bitcoin, and shop owners should be
happy to accept crypto payments, because it will definitely attract buyers if there is a crypto payment option. But again without government
support it is very difficult for many shops to accept crypto payments. Even though I can't use the crypto I have to buy things, but I am quite
entertained at least I can still use the crypto I have to play online gambling. And for the past few years I have had no problem gambling online
using crypto, playing online gambling is one of my entertainment on the weekend.

Just careful of the risk involved when you are planning to put it all in stablecoins, as they can be frozen even if it is in your own non-custodial wallets.

Edit: Somehow I recall this thread back in 2019 about the stablecoins frozen even in people's own wallet. [UPDATED] PSA: Most Stablecoins Can Be Frozen, Even in Your Own Wallets (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204055.0)

there is always an impact that will be received from payments using crypto, because indeed every time there are fluctuations that we cannot know. If it increases, it will certainly lose, but if it decreases, it will benefit. but I agree with you and agree that it is better to use Fiat than crypto or it can be with a USDT/BUSD stable coin.
indeed we will always imagine a loss if the situation is indeed crypto rises and will obviously make its own regrets.

Also for any international payments I would prefer to use bitcoin as its globally acceptable.

^ It is always good to use BTC in international transactions if you want to send money abroad, it is easy to transfer across borders in a hassle free.
I used BTC before spending it purchasing a crypto-related book online, I don't have any bank account to use but there is one shop store that I use to purchase a book and that was a successful transaction and the first book that I bought was I keep it until now. There is nothing wrong if we threaten BTC is a good investment and an asset that we keep value and hope that it will grow and can be profitable someday. This is the reason why people do hold BTC because the value was keep growing and it means they will gain on it.

If it is for a payment purpose, I prefer to use stable coins because the price is relatively stable or no big changes. It will be easier to determine how much to spend it for paying something. Stable coins such as USDT also have an option for low transaction fees with TRC20 network. So, when we need to pay something with that coin, we don't have a problem with the transaction fees.

Bitcoin is the father of all coins. All other coins are sub coins. Most of the sub coin move with the rise and fall of BTC. But some of them have the ability not to have much effect on the movement of bitcoin as Ethereum etc. Although, The main source of payment in cryptocurrency is bitcoin. But sometimes I have to use some others coin according to the requirement of my trade or business.

For now there are a lot of networks that can be used and i don't need to afraid if want to hold payment from people, it is same with what i want to use as payment, because stablecoin is stable, and sometime we not want to pay more when price of other coin which dumped and then pumped again.

I am also from a country where crypto is banned, so only option left for me and people like me is to HODL and convert my profit into fiat. So far it good experience, since I don't have options to spend BTC most of BTC are bound to HODL (blessing in disguise).

What do you mean? I don't understand this statement. In my understanding, there is no main source of payment in crypto. People are free to use whatever coin they want to pay, as long as it is acceptable. Instead, I thought people prefer to hold their Bitcoin than use it for payment purposes now. The reason is clear, that all of us believe the Bitcoin price probably to increase significantly at the end of this year.

Another thing is that I only use gambling websites that support crypto deposits. He could mean that the value of coin depends on Bitcoin and that's how the merchant or a service provider could base their rate/pricing when you're buying or subscribing for their service using crypto.
Or he could be mean that the first crypto that has been accepted by the merchants is Bitcoin.
But base on his full statement, he said he  usually use Bitcoin more often during transactions rather than any other coin in his wallet.

Neverthless, we can choose different kinds of coins today when we purchase using crypto.

In my community many customers prefer to pay with ethereum after purchase of goods some years ago, but since bitcoin price increase to another level few months ago, the population of bitcoin users in the market is more popular than ethereum recently in the community. Many sellers in my community now swatch to bitcoin payment since many of their old customer now prefer to buy any products and pay with bitcoin. There are many stores in the community who are now accepting bitcoin as a payment without involving fiat money before the customer can go with their goods from the store.

Using Bitcoin as payment is okay, but nowadays the transaction time is partially higher rather than other altcoins.
For example, I don't want to wait much time after depositing funds to a gambling platform, but if I send funds via Bitcoin sometimes it will take more than 30 minutes even if I use the next block fees, this is very annoying. For this reason most of the time I use XRP when I have a little hurry.

It is cool to pay with cryptocurrency, but I will regret it after paying, because the price of cryptocurrency has risen, I think my payment is not worthwhile. Now I am not in the habit of using cryptocurrency to pay.

Never regret spending your coin in valuable things , remember that crypto is also a Money in which must be spent to circulate , and besides the amount you will use as Fiat if converted in crypto that time is the same .

I don't know if this counts as paying with crypto but I bought some gadgets using SLP from Axie Infinity. I had around 40k at that time so I was able to buy 2 phones and a decent laptop. It's a pretty awesome experience, never had any form of investment, it was all pure scholarship so it's basically free money. I haven't found any use for my bitcoins yet though as I feel like it's worth more if I continue hodling bitcoin rather than selling it.

Bitcoin is extremely precious for me to spend.

You are spending fiat though. Why not move everything in Bitcoin then if you consider it to be a currency?

To make payments using crypto is certainly cheaper transaction fees, and stablecoins are my mainstay because it is easier for us to use and does not have a big effect on the price when experiencing an increase or decrease, but for bitcoin and other altcoins it feels very valuable for us to use because for the future there will definitely be an increase so that we can cause very deep regret if the price has become 10x of the value now.

for now, crypto seems to be an amazing investment tool, but we can see that it is still difficult to make payments with cryptocurrencies, this is because in my country there is no clear regulation, even if it is legalized, I think if it is not for urgent needs , then it's a shame to sell, because nowadays we can make a lot of money from crypto

for a payment regarding crypto we must of course get approval from both parties for the payment process, but for me if there really is someone who wants to accept payments with crypto then I will also do that especially considering the payment is very instant so it is very easy for us to do the process quickly, but this has not been realized where bitcoin is currently not widely adopted among the public

if everyone is willing to accept bitcoin as a means of payment maybe it will be easy to do bitcoin transactions in any form, such as giving wages in the form of bitcoins to workers if they want to actually accept or adopt bitcoin widely, this is waiting for approval from both parties so that the process can be realized.especially payments regarding bitcoin to workers

in my country I can't use crypto to make purchases, even if I personally even if the government in my country issues a license to pay with crypto, most likely I will never make payments with crypto money, I prefer to pay using fiat currency, I still going to make bitcoin as an asset for myself..

I've never paid anything using bitcoin, and I don't really want to exchange and buy anything using bitcoin, even I find it difficult to make payments in my country using crypto, because the government still prohibits buying goods using crypto.
Even bitcoin as a representative of crypto does not have an easy position for the payment system, other cryptos also don't seem to have a chance to be used in real cases, quite a few countries also do not have special regulations on crypto but their goods only require cash or pay by credit card, rarely allowing the appearance of crypto wallet addresses. Businesses need a stable amount of money in circulation, instead of looking at the type of money that can increase in the morning but decrease sharply in the afternoon, which is a lot of pressure for them, after all, we are in a state of forced social compliance, can't apply crypto indiscriminately

Probably most of us use debit cards which we top up with different coins. Mostly im using LTC because of cheap sending costs but sometimes also other currencies. Binance, Crypto.com and others made it much easier for us to spend crypto on everyday things but if you are not short with money, it would be wiser to hold your coins for now since the bull is still not over.

I continue to use bitcoin as a personal loan to myself, if I need liquidity I withdraw the amount I need, gradually I put back the amount, thus I avoid asking for loans from the bank, it often happens that I return with the loan earning a lot

I am interested what do you guys use for payments.

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.

Doing this little research because I am preparing project
I will appreciate honest answers and comments

Thank you

I don't really think that is something I consider for now. every Bitcoin I have is basically for investment. With the little I know about Bitcoin, I don't see myself spending Bitcoin directly in buying anything I can spend Fiat on buying for now except if spending Bitcoin is the only option and I really cannot do without that thing.

Absolutely Yes! It's easy than banks. Sometimes btc has high fees, so I used xrp or lite coin.

There are some countries that still placed bans on cryptocurrencies, China dominates that territory at the moment.
Even in Bangladesh, a guy told a story of their friend where they got ripped in a P2P scam by sending them money from the bank of someone else's.

I have never made a payment using crypto currency because none of the shops in my country accept cryptocurrency payments. I really want to use some of my Bitcoins to pay for all my household needs, but the government in my country has not legalized Bitcoin as a legal tender. I heard that some countries have legalized Bitcoin, people in those countries are very lucky because they can use their Bitcoins to buy anything they want.

Currently, here in our country I have never experience paying in shops or physical store using cryptocurrency as much as I want too but sad to say I haven't encountered any store accepting any crypto token and if ever I've find one I will definitely love to try it. However, in some case I do try to pay using crypto when it comes to example I am buying a token or NFT to my colleagues and friends who use to accept crypto as a mode of payment because they are also a crypto user and we prefer to use a two way crypto transaction nut in terms of buying needs in a physical store I don't try it yet.

I haven't got access to spend cryptocurrencies directly. Myself used to cash it out for the local fiat and spend on the needs. I don't remember for what purpose I first used the cryptocurrency cashed out. I think it is a mobile phone that costs me $150. By that time of purchase the price of single bitcoin was around $3000. Right now if I want to make use of cryptocurrency as payment I'll go with tron for its low fee.

Sure, If I work something online with someone, I offer them crypto first as a payment. If he refuses to take the crypto then I pay in local currency. Most of the time I use Ripple as payment because we have Ripple support here at the bank. If the block fee is low, I sometimes use Bitcoin to make payments. In addition, I use Bitcoin to make purchases from online (for example: gift cards, virtual cards).

Its the most convenient imho when it comes to payment but not totally get rid of fiat payments which is also convenient and if you do really mind about investment then you would really have doubts on spending your
crypto which you would really be ending up on using your fiat in the end.

I have been able to use my coins wayback when steam was still accepting bitcoin on purchasing steam wallet funds which its really convenient but once i do tend to accumulate coins
as much as i can then i do stop that habit.

I do spent up fiat if i would able to do so but if there are some convenient ways then i do go with that.

Since some businessmen started accepting bitcoin as a payment in my community, it hard me to to use meme coin which is very popular in the community for payment. Now that meme coin users are all over the country, many sellers will stop accepting bitcoin as a payment because their users are very few in the community compare to meme coin which everybody want to invest on for future profit making.
Bitcoin price is try to hit $60 for more investors to have interest, so that it can attract more sellers that will be accepting bitcoin more than meme coin in the market. Many stores in my community are preparing to start accepting bitcoin for any goods consumer need in the shop to pay with bitcoin.

It's not just about paying bitcoin but also with other cryptocurrencies.

The point of it is for everyone to be aware that cryptos are also for payments. It's actually the main usage of it.

And then next is being an asset.

I tend to save as much as i can.If i could make use of fiat instead of my coins then i would better still do that and would skip out on having those unwise spending since
we know the chance or probabilities on getting some profits on just simply holding your coins.

Paying up crypto into something does really add up some circulation or adding up more awareness and adoption but not all people would be having the same mindset
and majority will really be keeping it instead.

Only in times of need I paid my due with BTC. But if not I only use cash in my pocket. Since I am mining eth, I also use it for paying my monthly bills. I can say this time of year is a times of need, whether you pay it cash or with crypto, pandemic did land a good beating on me and most of my savings are gone. Thankfully the ones that I save was a great a help since I sold most of my portfolio at high price so I did pay most of my expenses with crypto.

There are many coins that has very cheap fees that you cannot almost feel when you send or transact , though talking about Bitcoin or Ethereum is the bad idea to use for payments when there is congestion happening .
means try to prevent using those 2 coins for a while until the season ended and return back after the rampant use because Miners take this advantage to gather profit from trading .

Ethereum is such a bad idea to use for payments because of the gas fee, imagine you're paying a lot on your transaction fees than on the product or item that you're going to buy. So far, I haven't tried to use crypto as a mode of payment though yes when it is transacted inside the platform or like when you buy NFTs, or in-game characters this is where I have tried to use crypto as a payment but in real cases like purchasing products and services never have I tried it.

I still pay for my daily stuff with fiat, most of my crypto are investments and I don't really like spending my investments because I know that I could get more profit hodling it or trading it rather than spending it. Plus, there's not a lot of places that I can use my crypto to buy my daily needs in my city so what can I do besides following the norm.

Same here. I prefer to pay in crypto if the option for the payment in crypto is available. However, i prefer to pay in litecoin to save on the transactions fees. Also, i prefer to transfer from exchange to exchange to my friends or relatives and it has a zero transaction fee.
The sad thing is that still on many online sites the payment in crypto is not enabled and i do not prefer to use my credit card online.
