So if you have historical data it would be better, otherwise tell us how many bitcoins are needed to buy a house now and several years ago.

I will archive this topic in a few days so that we can compare it after 4 years and see the difference in the houses.

Housing market crashed as a result of pandemic. During the pandemic lots of layoffs, covid-19 attack, business losses, daily deaths which made people to think of staying alive than thinking about investing on real estate and properties. This caused the decline in the market for housing. When things started to recover and normalised similar to the pre-pandemic, people started to think of investing into properties.

To construct a house similar to this it costs around $40-45k based on the present market condition. This doesn't include the land value. If land value included it costs around $75-$80k in the town region. If the same is located in a City region the price will be as high as $140k - $170k. The construction along with the land value hasn't varied much between 2020 October and the present month this year.

Nevertheless 1btc can go a long way in my country to buy landed properties such as house, supermarket and also a plot of land to establish anything such as hotels, hospital, commercial house, and it totally depends on the environment because the prices are differs do to it's location.

1 btc is approximately thirty five million in my country currency, so it can buy this.

I was quite surprised. From which countries are you, guys? You've got really cheap houses.

I am from a developing country and yet houses here are very expensive. In my city in particular, this one below costs around 5.3BTC.

The house location matters significantly, of course. The first house I posted is located in a subdivision near the city proper. However, even if location matters, the cheaper house I posted is located much farther from the city center.

Can you ask in a smaller scope, for example "the price of a house in your city"? There is no property price (eg comparing 2 houses with the same design) that can be determined due to several factors such as:

Area class - If the house is located in an elite area, it is usually very expensive because it is targeted by upper economy class individuals even though there is really nothing special (like well-known artists, where every product can be bought at high prices by fanatical collectors).

Accessibility - Location can become a pricing standard. You will see the price difference between houses on the roadside will be more expensive than houses in the middle of the forest because in a simple assumption the house is close to the center of the crowd, for example the market, hospital, police station, fuel station, presidential house, or whatever.

Security - This is the most important factor. There are several cities in certain countries that are hotbeds of gangsters or prone to criminal acts, so property prices there are not too expensive even with luxurious designs. Or also, the house is located in an area prone to natural disasters.

Sales process - If you buy directly to the homeowner, you will get an exclusive price. Another thing with you asking the price to the property agent / intermediary. In fact they can charge up to 100% more than the homeowner's price (even more).

Not wanting to get off topic, there was 1 member who once offered a house on my local board. Fyi, This is not located in my city (maybe in my city you can get much cheaper)

You can buy a small house for approx 3BTC in my country. It wouldn’t he a great house in a desirable neighbourhood though. You definitely won’t get a home for 3BTC in London, you’ll likely have to go 1-2 hours further north in the Uk.

As an example this house is £140,000 in Manchester (approx 3 hours from London). You would likely see a 3BTC offer accepted.

Since the average house price rose in the UK by £25,000 a year, the situation has become bad, especially in cities like London.

The level and type of house of course each area is different, depending on the model and building area, there are 2 rooms, 3 and up to 12 depending on one's budget and wishes.

For sure, where I live there is a house that has a buying and selling value: 0.2 Btc and up to 1 Btc at the current price, 0.2 Btc is the simplest type 36 two rooms, living room, 1 toilet and kitchen, it can be said that the owner of a type 36 house is the lowest income poor, when measured by the dollar, around $12000.

While for 1 Btc, if the current Bitcoin price is calculated at $61,531, including elite houses, the conclusion: for 2021, in my area, one house with a price of 1 Btc, can be said to be classified as luxurious, also with furniture facilities in it.

One Bitcoin is all you need to buy your dream house in my country. Exciting! one Bitcoin = one dreamy house! You can buy some houses, even with less than one Bitcoin.

So to answer your question, if it is a good idea to buy a house with Bitcoin, I take you back to this article that was posted in 2018.

Based on the Bitcoin price today at $57,460 ..those 2,739 bitcoins will be valued at roughly $157,382,940 :o :o :o  (So even if the property market boomed like crazy, you will never see an increase in the value of that property at that rate over the same period.)

The other scenario is this... IF the Bitcoin price drop to say $1000 ....those bitcoins will still be worth $2,739,000... but the property will be worth a lot more.  ;)

It mainly depends where would I buy the house; if we are talking about buying a house my hometown, approximately 1-1.5 BTC would be more than enough modern ~200 square meters house. Then again, its a small town in less developed part of my country (Croatia) and if anything people are moving out of there.

If we are talking about town where I currently live, you would need at least 4 BTC for anything even remotely decent. My goal is house with a sea view, and for that I would need something like 8-10 BTC now, or hopefully 1  BTC in a couple of years. :D

In my country cost life pretty much low and following it the lands to build houses too pretty cheap even for the houses we will find various prices of houses from ordinary to luxury and there are various price for them so it depend on the budgets itself but for ordinary houses you can get 0.5 btc to 2 btc and for luxury it usually started from 2 btc or higher

Some considerations:

1 - the price of land in my country is very high, it becomes a big headache to have land to build a house, minimum land price in my country: 0.025 BTC

2 - the prices of construction material are very expensive and consequently the prices of houses are high

I haven’t found yet here in our place that accepts Bitcoin as payment to buy a house. I am looking forward to that. I’ve been imagining having Bitcoin as one of the regular payment accepted here in our country. I think that will be a big leap as our country is not that leading when it comes to technology.

What countries those guys are from that are posting good and lavish house @ 1 btc? Here in my country, you barely get that house with 1 btc. It would cost you around 2-3 btc from having that house and with a very limited space. Well, city land is always that expensive. But when I've checked those rural places, they're also becoming expensive, I don't know why they're going up despite the pandemic. I thought that it would be the best time to go along with it and scout some but maybe for my option, it would be the best option to just buy a piece of land and save again for building if I want to save or at least wait for the next bull run again.  ;D

same as in my country, payment with bitcoin still not accepted, but if we use the current bitcoin conversion, with only 0.2 BTC I can get a simple house and 1 bitcoin for a luxury house around my city.

In very few countries we've got real estate businesses accepting bitcoin. As the adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were happening with different businesses, soon cryptocurrency acceptance can be seen with most of the real estate developers.

In my country it is possible to buy a good appartment with 1 bitcoin. For 0.5 btc it is possible to buy a property and build a house of 1500sqft.

Would really vary on  cost of living on a particular country.Some might only need half a bitcoin and some would really be needing more and it would
really depend on how big is the house you would be planning or needing to to buy and its good that there are several brokers or real estates that do
accept crypto payment which is totally good or convenient but as for the serve of investment then i would tend nor prefer on using fiat instead.

Houses are of different types, and prices depend on location both in a state and in a country. I'm a fan of of building a house as i have always expressed.

 You can see that he sent the asking price of the two bedroom property which is decent for a bachelor like me at this stage is just around 18million, which is very okay for the modern facilities the property boast of.

With 1 btc i can get a house, i don't think the cost of houses have or will reduce in my country now or in the future.

Three Bitcoin is needed to buy a medium-sized house in my country and city. This estimation is about buying a ready made house through a property dealer with his commission & other charges, taxes etc. But when you build a house after purchasing land. Then its cost may be doubled because Consciousness, Lord, inflation has turned people's backs. The cost of land is very high, construction material & labour cost is also very high. So newly constructed house expenditures will be nearly 5 Bitcoins.

In the eastern part of Central Europe you can buy a new house with a little garden if you have 2,5 bitcoins, but not in the capital. In the capital, the prices are doubled, so you need to have 5 BTC to buy a house, and in the luxury part of the capital, you need even more.

It's Africa. Most likely in Nigeria. But one thing I'd like to point out is that it depends on the location. There are some location over here where you would need 2-3 BTC for the same or nearly the same type of house give or take. At least that's something to keep in mind. But in hindsight, 1 BTC should be able to put a rough over one's head, permanently.

In my country NIGERIA, 0.5btc in price right now is enough to a good and well furnished standard house. Nevertheless, $5000, $7000, $10000 can also buy a house here, but just might not be as standard as that of $20000+.

Well, in my country I can not really say the prices of House can crash, It is just the in the past few years, the price of Bitcoin has risen  ;D also, it depends on the area/location you are buying the property.

Looking at the current housing prices in my country, I think 1 bitcoin is enough in my country to buy an upper middle class house. at least with that money we will get an area on the outskirts of the city with a large enough land area, at least there is a garage in front of the house to park the car. we can even buy a house with 2 floors

i think in my city, we need 2 bitcoin for buy the house, actually in my city, i can buy house with only 1 bitcoin. but you will get the standard house. but if you spend 2 bitcoin for buying house in my country, you will get the good facility of house, like security, and all maintenance.

in my country, with 1 bitcoin, you can get a pretty good house, with a fairly large size. however, I think it applies to other countries as well. it's just, I think that in my country, house prices are still not as expensive as houses in other countries.

in my country, prices house are influenced by location, for 1 bitcoin can really get 1 luxury house in the city but for suburbs with 1 bitcoin can get 3 or even 5 livable moderate houses

I don't know which country you are from but I'm sure the cost of living in your country is very expensive because the price of a house is already expensive

It actually depends on the area, like for the developed part of my country houses are really expensive so it would cost up to 0.6btc (if converted to cash though because they don't accept BTC as a payment method in my country :'() while for the lesser developed part, houses are quite less expensive so 0.15btc would be enough to purchase a house.

It is already a fairly large size of home for a whole family and with the interiors and exteriors structure system of a house, it is already good enough to be comfortable, in peace, and a dream house for everyone. Here in my country, a 1btc could afford a small house than you have shown in the picture but quite fair enough too as long as the home is called yours. 1 BTC is already a good amount to become an asset it could already give us a comfortable home, a somehow good and comfortable life but to make it grow in its value you need to learn how to double the value or amount or must learn how to diversify it to the most profitable business that will lead you to the opportunity to afford a much more larger house that everyone is dreaming for.

If in my country, if I live in the country, it may only need 0.8 BTC
