Title: Do you think swap between stellar-polygon safe at all?
Post by: SOCAR on October 21, 2021, 11:01:34 AM
Recently there was news that Newscripto will be developing a bridge between the stellar-polygon to enable swap between the two ecosystems and thereby expand the user experience. However, I have a question about the safety of my investments.

Do you think swap between stellar-polygon safe at all?

We need to figure out how this bridge works.
As a rule, the mechanism of operation is very simple:
liquidity is gaining in both ecosystems
You transfer your money to a specified account in the first ecosystem, and they transfer money to you to a specified wallet in another ecosystem.
This usually works through smart contracts.
If you are afraid that the smart contract will be hacked, then transfer the received coins to another wallet. The bridge's smart contract will not have access to your other wallet, which means it will be able to steal coins.
You can use the same method in all ecosystems with smart contracts.

well you said its new,, so probably much better to wait so that you can obtain first some feedbacks in it , because you know its too hard to tell if such new offer and way of swapping is really safe.. Make more research instead and wait until you see some feedbacks for your safety.. Perhaps a good idea.

It is not about just being new, but also not being big neither, so it is so new that it is not even done so much enough to have a good LP neither. Which is why people should not be focusing on anything that is as new and as risky and as little interest as this right now.

There are so many other options that you could do right now that would be a lot better in the long run, so focus on that and you would be doing a lot better in the long run. What I believe we should be doing right now is going with the high LP stuff and swap between them if we want to, both of these have a lot better stuff they could be swapped, focus on that and you would be doing a lot better.
