Polkadot is way overvalued and it has some major flaws. One for example is the limited amount of parachains they allow. Octopus Network has an infinite number of parachains it can support and its gas fees and transaction times are better than Polkadot because it's run on top of NEAR protocol, which uses horizontal sharding for scaling. Another cool thing about Octopus is that since it's built on NEAR, its appchains can also work on Ref Finance. That means that you can already yield farm with OCT and other appchains are coming to the farm. You could double your money by investing in the DEIP IDO on skyward finance, then farm with the token on Ref Finance. That's what I'm doing at least. So far it's been working out really well for me. NEAR hasn't had as much hype as Solana yet but it's backed by coinbase and greyscale so it's going to be in the top 20 pretty soon.

Then you don't understand how this ecosystem will work.
100 projects is enough to build a good ecosystem, and the auction method is scam for projects in this ecosystem.

This project's team has released a new Chrome Extension update, based on the latest SubDAO Substrate node. SubDAO Chrome Extension is positioned to bridge Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.

Manta project's team announced official realese of the Dolphin Testnet. Dolpin is the testnet for MantaPay (Manta Network on Polkadot) and MariPay (Calamari Network on Kusama). Using it, users will be able to try out privacy payment services.

I'm not sure that it will be a huge step towards increasing privacy of payments. But defienetly it's a big step in developing Manta Network and Calamari Network. This testnet will facilitate every step for Manta and Calamari users.

Real World Asset Market: What is it and how will it work?

What is the RWA Market?
The goal is to launch the first (permissioned) market for Real World Assets (RWA) on the Aave protocol. This will allow Aave depositors to earn yield against stable, uncorrelated real world collateral while Centrifuge issuers can borrow money from Aave, automatically balancing capital needs and providing alternative collateral to volatile crypto assets.

What does this mean for Aave users?
Aave is a decentralized system of lending pools where users can participate as depositors or borrowers. Depositors provide liquidity to the market to earn a passive income, while borrowers are able to borrow in an over collateralized or undercollateralized fashion. Currently Aave users can only borrow or lend against cryptocurrency, which is volatile. The RWA Market will mean that Aave depositors will now be able to earn yield against stable, uncorrelated real world collateral.

What does this mean for Centrifuge issuers?
Centrifuge enables issuers to create an on-chain asset fund for RWAs, otherwise known as pools, accessed by our decentralised app Tinlake. Each pool is issuing tokens representing a share (in this pool). Issuers of these on-chain asset funds can now provide the collateral assets to the permissioned RWA market by adding such tokens (called DROP) to the pool in exchange for USDC additionally to DAI. RWA Market diversifies the available stablecoins to issuers.

Project Efinity, participant of parachain auctions on Polkadot announced information about additional bonuses for crowdloan supporters who use Parallel Finance. So users can get 5% $EFI bonus for re-staking via Parallel, and 25% $PARA bonus for new Parallel users.

Binance extended the first distribion of polkadot auction parachain Reward. I did not check on other Exchanges. Its just happen due to Mainnet launch problem. Now first reward will be distributed in feb 2022.

I am bullish on Polkadot's parachain auctions. The first batch of auctions went well and a lot of DOT collected is good enough. Winners are also quality of course.

I have tried to contribute also to the Acala network by using the Parallel Finance crowd loan platform. As Acala Network won, my choice went well. Another thing is Binance also offers para chain auctions in which I participated and contributed to some projects.

I love joining on parachain auctions because if the project is lost, your DOT/KUSAMA will automatically send back to your wallet.

Ethereum is by far the biggest ecosystem at the moment, and Polkadot has to work hard and enlarge community to get where Ethereum is at the moment

a lot of promises for Polkadot, but there is no clear progress so far, I hope they will deliver better than Cardano in the end, which provided semi-smart contracts

I never liked the idea of Polkadot because there are a limited number of parachains and they have to pay to be on the network. Other projects like Octopus Network have appchains and you don't have to pay for a slot.

I should add that appchains are necessary because some apps require high tps, which cannot be achieved on most blockchains. If a blockchain has high tps, like the internet computer, and is scalable, appchains are not required.

Dot definitely has the backing of its community there is no doubt about that, but is it enough? That's the question they have to ask themselves. I am not saying that it would not be enough but we are not going to see it become something huge in the future neither.

The best thing to do would be making sure that you are going to end up with prepared portfolio. Like you could get some DOT but not too much that it would hurt you if it goes down, but good enough if it goes up 10x, which is usually like 10% of your portfolio at max, and more than 1% at minimum, that is usually a good level to be in. I do exactly that, 3% right now and quite happy about it.

Polkadot is one project I will say do disappoint a lot of people, it has failed to live up to expectations, with all the big names behind the project I expected this to be a real competitor in the space, and to my surprise with all the talk of centralization around Binance Smart chain it is the most competitive of all these Ethereum killer and the team did not raise any fund from investors except that the platform has the blessing of CZ. Polkadot ecosystem is more or less a ghost town, it is difficult to name one project on it that is doing really well when compared to Binance chain, Avalanche, Tron, Polygon, Fantom etc I hope there is still more to come from the project

Will it help them! I doubt as such initiatives have been launched by other competitors and I don't think it went as expected. I am not against the such initiatives, I don't see anything good happening. They came up with a brilliant idea when the launched polkadot but it has not been the same for the so called Ethereum killer.

You are right that the Polkadot ecosystem has fallen behind Ethereum due to some bad policies, but management is trying to correct the situation and cancel auctions. I've been talking about this for a long time. But Ethereum needs competitors in the market, so Polkadot and Cosmos have a chance at market share.
