Title: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish
Post by: Bergkampsballs on October 25, 2021, 07:10:05 PM
Hi, I'm just trying to plan ahead here and assuming that we are going to have a bear market at some point in the next couple of years, I would like to try to put my bull market profits to good use. I was wondering what is your strategy to continue making money when things turn bearish?

Whether it's shorting, leveraging, trading, earning interest, finding hidden gems, longing coins that perform well in a bear market, investing in gold or the stock market or anything else, I'm interested to hear what strategies you are planning to use and how you are planning to execute them in order to continue making money. If you made money during the last bear market I would be interested to hear how you did that as well.

Thanks.

Whats more to do, just hold what is available with you. The growth chart clearly shows how the market price have moved gradually and has profited the users who kept hold of it without falling for negative news and FUD, FOMO, etc. The market need to be trusted, and if you're with good learning then you could give a try on regular trading practice. This will help you increase the cryptocurrency portfolio. This is what I did earlier when I had good sum of cryptocurrencies investment.

1. Find a market while crypto is bearish like maybe real estate.
2. Reserve some of those profits to buy BTC and coins at a huge discount while preparing for the next cycle.

Those are the only things I could think of right now. I wouldn't recommend day trading on a crashing market unless you have time and really good at it.

If this is all about trading then you can only do is leverage and short trade to make a profit on a bearish market.
But I think you are looking for another source to earn?

There are lots of ways actually to use your Bitcoin to make money you can buy a domain and hosting to start a blog this is not instant but if you know how to make a blog post every day and know how to manage your blog with a little knowledge about SEO then you can make a stable income from crypto Ads. That's the best thing and for long-term income.

Is not easy to deal in the Bearing market actually you can just sell all of your assets then wait for cheap price but money your money is sleeping even you invest it in other projects it would be risky. So only blogging is what I think would be the best solution if you are looking for continuous income.

Since we're here in the forum and I assume that we're talking about crypto investment and then you're thinking that after investing during this bull run it will turn out to bear market, isn't it?  Well, that's a part of the risk in investing in cryptocurrency we should understand those consequences and when the bear market will come, I usually hold and never sell my Bitcoin.  Talking about a bear market of course you will not earn anything, all you have to do is wait again until there's a bull market come and there's no loss if you won't sell your crypto asset during a bear market.

Some say, during a bear market you can still earn, by spot trading through other altcoins, but it seems that kind of strategy is very risky, I prefer to hold for the long term and wait until my profit were there.  Because dealing in a bear market isn't just easy, it might easily your hard earning will wipe out.  I would rather accumulate more crypto into my portfolio if there's a bear market come.

You mean other than getting a job?
Perfect answer, getting a job and accumulating more.

Cash it all out before the profit turn to loss or maybe stablecoin. I will probably invest in play to earn games when the bear market begins. I will play all day will only get out of bed when shitting. I guess I can consider it a job even if I will just earn half of the basic minimum until the prices begin rising again.

If this is all about trading then you can only do is leverage and short trade to make a profit on a bearish market.

Definitely not easy. We who had been in crypto for years and experienced the 2018 bear market is no joke. It's good for you to have in-demand skills and have an online business which will help but for those who are just coming to crypto to invest and forgot to take profit, it's traumatic.

It depends on the bear market.
If price reaches $400k based on previous 4-year cycles and then followed by a very long bear market then I prefer staying away and enjoying the amount of bitcoin I accumulated in the previous cycle while earning money by working!
But if the 4-year cycle is broken and we see short term bear markets then it is the golden discount time where I would buy bitcoin in each dip to maximize the amount of bitcoin I can accumulate.

If the market is bearish, perhaps, we need to take a break from the market for a while and enjoy our profit because before the bearish time, the bullish time will give us profit. If you can sell at a high peak, but if you don't do that, you should still try to earn profit in many ways. We can't expect to make money during the last bear because in that situation, it will be difficult for us to get the right coin, and we can pick the wrong coin and wait for some time to see the price increase.

if I was certain the that the market wont go up in near future I would just invest in any other crypto by studying them , I know most of the crypto currencies have a similar graph but if we carefully study we would find some which would hold or get a little bullish , holding BTC would also be an option but if we can make profit by just trading it we can always buy them back after we make more by trading .
there are many apps which allow crypto currency exchange with other crypto currency exchange without any transaction fees , just head into one then analyze the crypto and invest with your holdings .
high risk even higher reward  ;D

if you don't have so much time for it to monitor wherein in order to prevent the bearish market, perhaps the good idea is to provide bots that will work for you like what you said above such shorting finding gems and so on. Because you know it's more safer if you have no enough time to trade, but if your plan is long term then i suggest must choose which project that will last for how many years and can guarantee a massive profits after all.. Follow those influencer around the internet because for sure they already have a list for it as they're work is to find gems around the space.

As long a there is a trend then money can be made out of it, so I suppose that great deal of traders will just short the market and be happy with the profits they can get, however according to my small research shorting is nowhere near as profitable as just going long on bitcoin so you will have to use leverage as well if you want to obtain significant profits out of the market, another option is simply to move to other markets while bitcoin is experimenting that decrease, after all while the market of cryptocurrencies is profitable it is not the only one you can use to get profits.

The only strat that is essential is to simply not rely on Bitcoin alone, it's already the year 2021 and having a single option is unnecessary, better invest on fiat or on other coins if you don't want to lose profit when the bearish market starts, or you can simply HODL.

Nothing that much to do when a bear market comes and that's just to keep what I've been holding and as well as take all of those discounted bitcoins if I've got a lot of spare cash.

As you think of a good plan, if you're new if a bear market comes then secure your profits and put that into fiat or stable coin. And when the bear market comes, use it to buy cheaper bitcoins as many as you can.

The bearish season will be always coming, like the previous period. There will be a bullish and also a bearish era. This is like a cycle.
And I personally believe that after this bullish, there will be another bearish.
If we are a long-term investor, I commonly will take profits at the highest rate of mine before the bearish era.
And I will go buying more Bitcoin again when in Bearish and hold them for years until the next bullish era.

But, we can also still take profits from daily trading. Commonly, I will take altcoins for trading and take profits even little by litle.
I know that everybody may have different strategy and this is mine

For sure if the bear market will commence or Bitcoin will turn to bearish for some period of time, I have some stable coins in the bag that time.
And that's the time I am starting to use it to yield farming or staking via decentralized finance (DeFi). It's the best time your portfolio is in stable coins so you will not somehow get affected by the price fluctuation or declining price of Bitcoin.
But I will still hold and keep buying some of the dips when that time will come.

the use of stable coin is really good during bearish season. however, if you can hold long term and not worry about the market performance because you believe btc will go up again, then you better hold.
when it comes to farming or staking, make sure the platform has somewhat good foundation, let's say pancakeswap. but will other newly-created defi platforms, that's hard to trust. it is also worth buying good alts like eth or bnb, because their chance of increasing its value is very high.

Yeah, imagine bitcoin reaching $400k, went on a bearish cycle and goes $200k, just wow, a bearish cycle when the price is just like that. Still very expensive for the majority.

Personally, I will just sit the next bearish cycle and then for the next bull run.

Of course I think majority of us here have work outside crypto, then it's the best time to continue as this is your plan A.

I'll always prefer to buy at this bearish season because its definitely a good buy particularly for bitcoin and potential altcoins. After that, i may be sitting the whole time around watching as how the market moves and waiting for another price increase. I also prefer making investments in fiat this time but i make sure to invest in which there is a continuous, increasing demand from the consumers. Since there is no big activities in crypto when its bearish, so maybe its time to take a break. Day trading might be profitable somehow but there is higher risk in it and if you are not good at it, better just stay way from it and just hold your investments.

Bearish doesn't mean we have no chance to gain money. But it may the chances will be smaller. So, don't so worry about being bearish, we must still have the chance to earn money from trading. People are too worried about being bearish, they are like newcomers in crypto world. We have experienced some bearish seasons, and we still survive until now. What we need is just being smart to see the chance. And we secure the profits to USDT or USD as long as the bullish season lasts.

When Bitcon turns bearish, the crypto market will turn bearish. The priority in bear market is protect our capital. If it is a real bear market, you must wait too long to join because if you join early and you are not smart and fast to enjoy dead cat bounces, you will see your capital vanishes with bear market.

If history won't change, a bear market will need two years to stabilize and get its bottom range. So if 2022 is a star of a new bear market, we can wait till 2023, perhaps late months of 2023 to enter the market. We might see the market warms up since late 2023 so we can take risk by joining since middle or late of 2023.

By saying that you will put your bull market profits to good use, do you mean to say that you will be converting your Bitcoin to fiat?

It seems to me you have a plan not to continue HODLing and instead convert your Bitcoin. Perhaps you will do it as soon as Bitcoin breaches $100,000 or more, or perhaps you have a specific price target for selling. If you are indeed planning to do it, the best thing to do when the bear market finally arrives is to buy the dip. Not at once, of course, as there might be a series of dips. But I think it is wise to make a buy back during bear cycles of the market.

Talking about latest bear market that was in May-June when bitcoin fell to 29 000$, I did yield farming and staking, so I got about 50% APY in reliable pairs on reliable platforms. But yield farming is good in case of high activity on the market. If it is low, people don't exchange coins and don't pay commissions, so this way of making money becomes unprofitable, so I also should think about how to make money during long bear-market. What I know for sure is that I will continue hold mainstream currencies.

My strategy is to continue to accumulate. DCA. You can never know for sure when the bear market is going to come, and Bitcoin is profitable enough that you don't have to go crystal ball gazing to see when you get it right.

If this cycle repeats past cycles, I may spend a little more Bitcoin at the peak, and if next year or the following years there is a deep dip, I may buy more than usual, but in general I will buy the same amount periodically. Rise rinse repeat.

Actually, when the crypto market gets the bear trend, that will be a good time to buy so many potential coins. But sometimes, it is hard to determine which coins can increase quickly as almost all coins tempt us to buy the coins. I am not forcing myself to make money when the crypto market turns bearish but I will not stop trying to get the right coins. If I can not still get the right coin, I will keep searching for the coins and start buying low and selling high without waiting for a long time.

Buy in each dip then wait for it to pump again. Basically, what most hodlers do right now, buy low and then hodl. Though from what I'm understanding here, the question means more to having different venues of income other than Bitcoin. Trading isn't my main work so I have no problems there really, I'm just one of those hodlers that hope to profit off of Bitcoin being a great coin, an early investor so to speak. If we ever hit a huge bear cycle I'd probably sell mid-way? And then wait for the bottom dip before buying in again and hodling.

I think you should start learning real trading by transiting from being hodler to a trader thus irrespective of whether the market is bullish or bearish there are always trading opportunities as a trader but this comes with a lot of hardwork by learning of TA, charting analysis and learning candlestick patterns couple with the your desire to learn all these things for a long period of time, of course all the resources needed is available on the internet.

I really need to know who is good at day trading, whoever do so find himself in loss. HODL is best and tested strategy. The greed of becoming overnight millionaire will give you loss only.

bearish.. its called discount period.
the season of buy

Yup but majority run away from red market and buy only when its green. In other words, we don't become greedy to buy in bearish season.

None. I won't try to squeeze my brain juice of options when I can just go on and do my day job and let my bitcoin sit for a while. Besides, time has proven that bitcoin performs well in the long run, so why would I need to stress myself of making money out of it when it can do just that without me interfering anyway? I would be pressured if day trading is my only source of income, but right now, I treat bitcoin as one of my investments for the future that does its job quite well.

Well, sometimes there is no better strategy than just having patience, when you think the time is right. Most of the time I have been able to make huge money from my cryptocurrency investment was due to I had patience when the market was bearish, and when I thought that the market was really down I decided to invest more in the market, because I see it as an opportunity to buy it at a lower price and then wait for the bull run to start.

So, it is up to you if you can have that kind of patience, if not then it’s going to be quite hard for you. Unless you are a day trader, then you have to figure out what’s best for yourself asa day trader and look for strategies that would work.

Lets put up some links about on whats DCA(Dollar cost averaging)
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/profiting-big-from-bitcoin-dca-2021-08-15

This is indeed the best time on making this move on where you do slowly making out some accumulation
while the price turns out to be bearish.

Somehow this isnt something simple specially if we do talk about emotionally engaged kind of actions.

Realistically speaking, I just don't think of it as much of an issue. That Bitcoin will never be touched ever, excluding the BTC I earn though. The Bitcoin that I hold don't ever ever ever get touched.
How I earned when Bitcoin turns bearish? I continue in my own day and do my usual job outside crypto, and that is pretty much the answer. It is like asking how would I save my crops and grow more crops while it is drought season.

And no, I don't day trade. Not working with my schedule.

When bitcoin turns bearish?

It's better to buy more, you'll get more percentage of bitcoin when it's bearish compared to when it's in bullish.
You can also sell your altcoins that have increased while bitcoin is bearish, Same can be done with bitcoin when certain altcoins is low in value.

There is no much to do when bitcoin turns bearish as it will also affect the whole crypto market and turns it bearish too.

I will say that this is a great buying moment for bitcoin and even altcoins that are making good developments in the market. Since most of the prices have drop down, then let's start filling our portfolio again with those coins that will create significant pumps in the future. And maybe if you are good at day trading, you can still be profitable too and make advantage of the bearish market. But for those who prefer to play safe and stay secured, just buy and hold those coins and watch them how they grow in the market.

Bearish market is the season to buy affordable coins then hold. But im only pertaining to crypto that already existing for years and has potential. The one that is unlikely to be delisted on exchanges and become shitcoin, I prefer this kind of coin so there's no worries even bullish season takes longer to occur.

After buying a certain coin, the next step is to forget about the market and look for other opportunity outside of it. Its better not to rely alone in crypto, having other resources to earn money is necessary in order to have a financial freedom.

I don't make money via trading Bitcoins.I make money via having a job and working.I'm sure that 80-90% of all the crypto traders don't make any money out of crypto trading. They have jobs.
Even if the Bitcoin market turns out to be bearish, there will be ups and downs so there's a chance for every trader to take advantage of the price volatility and make some profits by buying and selling at the right time.
The current BTC price dropped a little bit and newbies start asking about bear markets. This is hilarious. ;D
Remember that a bearish market doesn't last for long,so there's no reason for panic.

More precisely, altcoins that are in the top 20 of CMC will provide the potential for faster returns or faster price recovery compared to altcoins in the lower ranks. However, everything also depends on the fundamentals of the coin in order to make a good recovery, positive fundamentals are needed. The bear market caused all the altcoins to drop and there were only a few altcoins that survived because they had some good news. Technical and fundamental analysis is very necessary.
All also depend on the strength of psychology and capital management. everything has to be in sync. bear market is the time to buy in deep prices.

Thanks.
The things you must do when Bitcoin turns bearish is to hold what's available on you. Bearish is the season you buy more affordable coins then hold because you'll possibly get more percentage of bitcoin compared when it is bullish. You can also sell some of your coins that the price increases when bitcoin is in bearish.

when there is a decline in bitcoin, many traders make short-term trades by taking advantage of the support area on a smaller time frame, so we can see the support area that will be used as a buying area. but we have to be observant to see it because the market is in a downtrend, so crashes can happen anytime

The best strategy that can save you in a bearish situation is to do capital management. save some capital for bearish conditions that are beyond prediction, so you can buy back at the lowest price. this will provide profit and save our capital on the first entry.
choose altcoins with prices that have experienced a lot of decline and with large volumes that have the potential to return to normal prices quickly. Don't panic too much when the price starts to bearish, it's an opportunity to buy and double profits.

To hold and stake my coins in reputable exchanges is the 1st option I'd plan and the next will be selling and investing the money outside crypto or having my own business, and 3rd one is to buy more. Trading is very challenging in the time of the bearish season, so this option is somewhat beating us especially when we are not totally good at this.

That you are right, it is a need to plan ahead of time and anticipate the market for what is possible it comes. For staying in the market for many years, although we can't say that history repeats itself, we will still be experiencing such scenarios. And much better to be prepared for those things as the execution went so smooth.

It will be a bearish season for sure since this cycle just keeps repeating in the market. If you can provide a good capital, prioritize on buying bitcoin and then consider buying top 10 altcoins in the market and just hold them as much as you want. There's no really much activities when bearish season attacks so all you have to do is just buying and holding your coins until you see they are slowly recovering from the dump. At least even while you are sitting at home, you have incoming profits to look forward to in the near future.

Yes save and to do that always learn to take a profit when market is in bullish so that we will have enough money to buy again once bearish market enter since if we keep believing that there are more something to hit even if another ATH already achieve then for sure we will miss those certain correction happening in the market and those one are earning potential for us to gather more profits so people should need to learn this although its hard to spot the perfect time to exit and enter but if we know when to settle for sure we can spot close to our target.

Short the markets, but not btc.
If btc turns out to be bearish some time later, money will not only be taken out from btc but alts, and alts will fall very fast than btc as the volume on btc is higher compared to end volume of alts. Spikes will also take place when markets tend to go stable and mainly btc, that is when you must stop trading and wait for the top before the fall continues again.

Maybe options number one and three that you do, I also do it. Because when entering a bearish trend, it's time to collect as much Bitcoin
as possible. Because of how deep the price of Bitcoin fell, will eventually recover and could climb much higher. While option number two
I did not do, because in my opinion Bitcoin is the most profitable asset for now. So when the bears came, I didn't think about selling them
and trying to invest in other assets. I'm not saying investing in other assets is a bad choice, but the profit that Bitcoin offers to me is more promising.
To deal with the volatile crypto  market, it is highly recommended to have good planning, so that we can make good decisions. Without planning,
we will easily panic and end up making wrong decisions.

You just have to do one thing. When it bearish and the price dips, invest more. Keep investing what you can afford to lose. In the long run, you will be making massive profits. If you are looking for making profit in short run during bear market, then you can try trading. Take advantage of the volatility and earn some quick profit. But the risk is high. Avoid looking for "new" altcoins that will give you some quick profit. Most of those coins are just pump and dump scam coins. And you should be careful when trying to earn interest with bitcoin. To earn interest you will have to store your coins to wallets that you don't own. Not your keys, not your coins. If the key owners get hacked or disappear, you lose everything.

I could not agree more with you. When it comes to the strategy to carry on earning in the crypto market despite of Bitcoin turning bearish, investing more and taking advantage of the price dips is the wise thing to do. This is of course after a thorough analysis of the market and the potential of the coin as well. Although this is indeed risky, it can also bring more profit if done right as aforementioned.

I always check the market trend and volatility if there's a signal regarding the changes I trade my assets to a stable currency and try to buy in the dip and make another sell for the highest price. Most people trying to sell just hold your coin its not an ideal thing because sometimes they are the one who losses a lot due to holding and not focusing their assets. Holding is ideal only to the people who bought at the dip and losses when they bought at the ATH. Always check the market graph and signals when to buy or hold.

It depends on the bear market.
If price reaches $400k based on previous 4-year cycles and then followed by a very long bear market then I prefer staying away and enjoying the amount of bitcoin I accumulated in the previous cycle while earning money by working!

I think many people will sell at that point as even a small amount of bitcoin will be enough to improve their lives in a massive way, however I think other people will resist the temptation to sell even at that point as they will be so used to hold their bitcoin by then that even such a price increase and massive crash is not going to be enough to convince them to sell their coins despite the benefits they can get out of it.

You can just decide to keep holding what you have in your wallet, and you can look for something else to be doing. Investment is not the only thing there is in this community, there are lots of things you can do, even writing and a lot more.

So, I’m going to advise you that if you’re not skilled in trading, you can look into other options that are available to you, so that you can be able to be earning income even when the market is down or bearish. Some people usually think that it’s all about investment and trading only, but that is not the only thing there is. You can even try cloud mining if that’s something you’d be interested in. You can check out cloud mining websites and see how much you will be able to make from it.

I have defined bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as perpetual.  In it, when the bitcoin price drops and there is a correction, buy to accumulate.  Also, I will go to the market and shop for some altcoins.  If you can't accumulate, you can't survive the year-end bull run.  It will actually be much bigger than imagined.  Red don't buy, blue don't have any for sale 8)

You do not have just to hold, but you can also buy more as the price is down, so you will get more amounts when you buy more. That will depend on your budget because not all of us will buy more in the dips but they can panic selling. That is not recommended because the price can bounce up after drops. Although the increase is not too high but it will slowly increase and back to the high price.

That is why we need to have a strong hand to hold the coins and avoid panic when the price drops. Just leave the market when the price is dropping so you do not think much about the situation and do not panic selling.

Once I see your posting date then realized you are talking about the current situation. I am just curious why are you wondering that the market will be bear for the next couple of years? Rather then I can see the market is skyrocket in next couple of years. You haven't mentioned any reasonable references why are you worried about the bear market.

However, if in case the market becomes bear then isn't that another opportunity for you to accumulate more cryptocurrency? Since you made a profit in the bull Market then you may take advantage to reinvest again in cryptocurrency. Then hold for a long time till multiply your investment. Because you already have experience in how to make money from cryptocurrency. Just follow your own strategies.

Absolutely well said mate, take advantage to make a good profit from bullish season also it is one of the way to prepare yourselves from the upcoming bearish season which we don't know when will going to happen but expectedly going to happen because crypto market is volatile. I don't have any idea how to make a good profit out of bearish season because I think this is a season to hodl and to accumulate another token to your portfolio so better to be always prepare for the worst case scenario if ever

The best way to earn money through crypto is buy when market is bearish and HODL. Its a time consuming process but its worthy. So if I find bearish season (which is OP question) I will gather btc and HODL. I don't expect profit during bear mart.

A bear market is a market where the price of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has decreased, I think at times like this we are not trading because there is no profit there. But we can take advantage of the falling price of Bitcoin to buy cheaply, besides that I can also participate in bounty campaigns and also airdrops to make money during bear markets. A strategy like this in my opinion is the best way to stay in the crypto market and make money.

If you have kept your money in the crypto market for a long time during a bull run, that probably means you are more of an investor. If that’s the case, don’t be afraid of the bear run and let your investments as it is. You can reap the rewards when the cycle repeats. However if you don’t have the heart to see the value going down then simply withdraw your money with whatever profit you’ve made and put it in some other asset.

When the market is bearish, the most suitable strategy is simply to hold Bitcoin. Or you can buy Bitcoin when the price drops slightly, buy little by little when the decline continues.

That won't make you continue earning if the bear market continues like the winter season for crypto. What he is asking is how he will continue making money when the markets go down. You can think of it like he is asking for Plan B actaully.

An investor I think may continue earning if his coins are on Cefi or Defi but this is him trusting a 3rd party. I will probably do my best to learn leverage trading if I have to rely on trading. The Casino tokens which send out dividends will actually be good but needs huge investment.

You have a good views about matter but what I'm trying to establish here is that How can we really knew that bear market is coming and we have idea what to do? if you can take your funds out of Bitcoin or out of your currency inside then i believe that there are tons of opportunity to do , like investing in real life business? or buying real estate for a while ? or engage in day trading(in which very hard) in where you can make profit little by little .

well op is asking about what can be carrying strategy meaning profiteering when there is a Bear and buying is not an option because your profit will come once the market backs up and not that very moment of bear.
what i am thinking is converting your coins to altcoin for a while because there are currencies that goes up when bitcoin goes down .
but of course this is not that easy to find so best to seek for a chance learning while the price is hyping like now.

When bitcoin turns bearish, all I have to do is stay calm and don't panic because a decline is bound to happen after a significant gain and although it does happen often, I can't deny it because panic is definitely there.
and usually I will hold and leave the market for a while to research what causes bearishness, and usually most of the declines occur because of profit taking or many investors take profit when there is a significant increase.
and we must take advantage of such conditions to buy and hold in the long term because the increase will definitely come again, even exceeding the previous increase, although it will take us a long time to be patient to get much better profits.

Simple advice, don't ever depend on crypto for your daily living cos things can turn out bad tomorrow. As a crypto enthusiast, it's always advisable to have a side hustle than hopping on bitcoin for richness. Only those patient enough smiles when the bearish market breaks off.
There is one thing crucial about investing in bitcoin. Always invest with your spare money.
As for the bearish market, it always comes and go. It doesn't last for too long.

Turning to other crypto for profit is a really good strategy for me, diversification in general helped me a lot since I can be at ease knowing that if one is going down, the other one is still doing just fine. And it also helped me in a way to get more bitcoin because most of my crypto that had made a big profits, I put them in bitcoin if I don't have any potential expenses in the near future.

There is nothing we can do to make money when the market is bearish, what you say is absolutely true all we can do is just be patient and don't
panic, keep holding the Bitcoin we have until the Bitcoin price is bullish again. Especially with the high popularity of Bitcoin, usually if there is
a bearish trend it never lasts long. My advice if  we have extra money, we can buy Bitcoin when there is a bearish trend. So when the bullish trend
comes we can make a profit, that's the strategy to  make a profit from Bitcoin. Let's just say when the bears come, it's our moment to take a break
from the crypto world, we can look for other positive  activities until the market is bullish again. Therefore, it is important to study Bitcoin first
before deciding to invest in Bitcoin, so that we are better prepared to face the bearish trend.

For me, always the same strategy. DCA. Earn what I can, sell what I need, spend what I'm able to, keep however much I can.

Survived one significant "crypto winter" on this dumb strategy and it's done spectacularly well -- the bearish periods tend to be long and hard, but you earn a lot more in this time, and every ATH you climb also brings up the bottom. You're always going to end up in the black.

Thanks.

Bitcoin can actually be used to make money in many ways. E.g., you can register a domain and host a blog. If you know what you're doing and know how SEO works, you can make money. You may also want to join some online businesses like 'WeMakeReview' and earn some money.

It's good to have an investment plan. I have been thinking of a bear market strategy as well.
All these years I did not have any strategy for the market and just kept on holding throughout these years which is in itself a good strategy.
But I think if we could sell at the top for a stable coin and then buy back at a lower price then we can potentially accumulate larger amount of coins.
The only thing is that spotting out the exit and entry points is a tough job.

If that so, then I encourage you to invest outside crypto like in the stock market. It can just be the same or have to start your own business. Even it was just small but at least we are able to keep our funds growing.

The best choice is to invest and that is what I've mentioned above.
Don't ver try trading during this time, not especially when you are just a beginner, you just make lose of your money so fast, honestly.

You can do a lot of things but just to remind to choose the strategy that you feel you are capable of, not just because of someone is doing this or suggesting this.

My strategy is to make money by my every day job.  The important thing when it comes to finance and your portfolio is to make sure that  you are well diversified.  You don't just have to try and make money in the cryptocurrency markets, there's plenty of money to be made in the traditional markets.  If bitcoin turns bearish, the likelihood is that most other crypto stuff will as well.

If bitcoin turns bearish, then the whole crypto market will definitely become bearish too. And by that time, mostly there's no big activities that will happen in the market because most of the investors have been taking their breaks and enjoy their profits with the previous bullish season.

However, since majority of the coins are dumping their prices, then its a good time to buy potential coins that will be added in our portfolio. For me, bearish season is the best time to buy and hold those high potential coins that will be very profitable after long term of holding.

I think finding hidden gems is going to be really difficult in the bear market because coins get dumped too hard in bear runs therefore you have to rely solely on white papers to choose the best among all the projects, I think the only thing one can do during a bear run is buying every dip, I really repent not buying on dips in 2019, I think best one could do is load your bags as much as you can especially for the people who are lucky enough to sell at or around the top. At best you can do is put out some money to cover your living expenses for at least 3 years because I feel that generally is the longest duration for which bear runs last.

Actually it is a classic question for those who are "restless" with long-term investments, if they trust bitcoin they don't have to do anything, sometimes it happens that we walk the money through different projects even offline and at the end of the road we draw accounts and patience with the ATH for example of about three years gives us those same profits or at least they leave us close, if your thing is not investment as the main source of income, just think how much you need ROI in relation to bitcoin and stick with cash regardless of the future of bitcoin price.

I don't make money via trading Bitcoins.I make money via having a job and working.I'm sure that 80-90% of all the crypto traders don't make any money out of crypto trading. They have jobs.

Well majority of traders end up in loss, read this to learn more.
If You're Day Trading, You Will Probably Lose Money: Here's Why (https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/if-you-re-day-trading-you-will-probably-lose-money-here-s-why-1030667770)
The best way to earn money through crypto is buy when market is bearish and HODL. Its a time consuming process but its worthy. So if I find bearish season (which is OP question) I will gather btc and HODL. I don't expect profit during bear mart.
One of the most basic principles that should taught to all of those that want to become traders or investors is that most of the time whether you become profitable or not depends in a big way on when you buy, if you buy when the price is going higher and higher you may turn profitable but you are taking a risk as the market could always turn around and begin to go down, however buying after a significant crash is most of the time a good idea as you are buying for a price way below the average, and what better example than those that bought after the most recent crash that brought the price of bitcoin to the 30k level and after a few months they have more than doubled their money.

This is why investors are advised to only invest what they can afford to lose, and to also get a job in RL, it's absolutely risky to depend just on crypto, the market is unpredictable, so you can't put all your eggs in it, thus on that basis, if you invested with only what you can afford to lose, then it's expected you have some other cash somewhere else, you can put it in some other investment or start a business, and then if you have a job, then you can also use the income from your job to start up something during the bear market.

Having said that, another thing is to try as much as possible to have diverse skills, making it possible for you to offer one service or the other, that way you get paid for what you do, and you'll not even have to worry about the bear period as you're sure Bitcoin will still rise up again and you'll make profit.

It will always be an edge if you have other skills that can help you land another job than just trading along in crypto because in time of bearish season, there are less opportunities to make profits. However, buying and holding your trusted coins in this bearish time can give you profits in the future but the question is when will be the exact time. Crypto brings a lot of uncertainties and if you are not wise enough to survive, then you won't make good profits at all.

When bitcoin turn Bearish then alt coins got dump and this was a time to buy amd hold for long time and if i have good money to invest I will buy Bitcoin for trade and will wait for pump of price. It is simple strategy which is used by many of traders.
Experienced investors/traders would really see this way on which they would really be seeing this as an opportunity to buy cheap because market could eventually make out recovery later on.

Making money on bearish market is still plausible specially to those who do scalp or make out short trades and to those who do buyback
when its cheap and wait for the right time on selling on a certain point.

DCA or accumulation on cheap price is a common way but its not simple as it sounds yet you would really be that in doubt in doing such action.

Many think about holding could save their money from loss although sometime its through but sometimes not since its really not worth the stress we can get for continuous holding compare if we do cut loss and buy back again where we have chance to recover what we supposed to lose then earn with profit when another round of pump will go on. Although its hard for someone to do this but if we just familiarize the market for sure we will have higher chance to go success on doing this.

But if you are buying cheap coins, buy those coins with concrete foundation. What I mean is, they have use case in the market and people are really using it. Because as we have seen, there are so many worthless coins. So in this case, better look at least in the top 1-50 coins, and check each one which has the chance to survive long.

yes , when bitcoin starts falling best to sell it all first and wait for altcoins to dump as well then buy some shitcoin (but make sure you know which coin is not to die completely) and trust them for a while.
actually thisis the strategy of normal trader but not for me because i would rather hold than selling my bitcoin in no exact knowledge when to dip.

Hmmmmm many are saying that its better to hold if you are holding some Bitcoins already and some saying that buying in a bear market is better since all of the crypto coins are at a discount.
While these 2 are good, I think another way to make money in a bear market is to transfer some into stablecoins and then wait for Bitcoin to go down and then convert it when you feel that it is the right time and then wait for it to go up again.

Of course this takes time but there is no such thing as easy money right :). Gaining profits in crypto is a process so just trust it.
Another way to make money in a bear market is thru shorting it. Although this requires experience and knowledge, you can still earn money thru it as long as you know what you are doing. Another one is accumulating more overtime or in short, Dollar Cost Averaging.

Don't think about doing a panic sell. When the bear market attacks, I do nothing, stay HOLD and buy more at a low price and will get a profit when the price goes up again. Bear market is a discount event for us

In essence this is doing a buyback when there is a crash dump. But capital management here is very important to run this strategy. We must have capital reserves to do buybacks.
A bear market will not always be bearish. Buying during a bear market should pay attention to the strongest support points. making purchases in stages might help. what is certain is that when the price starts to rise, we will benefit in a bear market situation.

Thanks.

Everyone should be thinking about this and aim to spread their money around numerous different assets. Sure Bitcoin could go a lot higher from this point and it's looking very likely, however it is currently at record highs which often leads to corrections. If you just had small holdings of Bitcoin this might be irrelevant, however if you have large holdings of Bitcoin that you've held for a long time with few other assets - then selling off a portion to buy property, stocks or just having a nice amount of cash would be a prudent idea. As you suggest, it is a matter of when and not if, Bitcoin will turn bearish again at some point as it has done many times before - you can even get more in the buying opportunity presented if you have liquid assets elsewhere.

Common answer maybe short, but if me when bear trends come usually i am holding fiat and wait for right moment to trade. Because sometimes i easily to panic, even doing short, price will bounced too, and it can made i lost in trade. That is why for me wait is better until market stable.

How long you can hold Fiat when bear comes\? aren't you triggered to spend the funds since this was being converted into Fiat and not moving up or down?  why instead in converting to fiat make it worth at Cheaper crypto?
liek Dogecoin or at least Shiba Inu? or at least other coins?

Cryptocurrency has bullish and bearish season. As much as bullish market is beneficial to most people who are doing crypto, we can't also deny the fact that bearish market is inevitable. Hence, you shouldn't just only rely on crypto because there will be days that the market would just be red. If you sell, you lose. It's really advisable to make many stream of income so that when bearish market enters, we have income generating fall backs.

Diversify your funds. Allocate it in different investment vehicles that are reputable and trusted. You could check how stock market works and see if you'll have the gist and like it.  You could also make use of your passion to have some sort of side hustles that could make some money alongside with watching the market movement. Or you can start a small business that is relevant and needed by the people in your community. You can also freelance online with the skills and talents you have. Selling something could be an option too. You see, there are so many things that you can make a profit with. You just have to be creative, strategic, and determined. After all, it isn't always christmas in crypto. There are low and saddening days too. We just have to utilize the resources we have to survive while the market is still on its low phase.

If you are good in reading the charts, you might wanna go for shorting BTC but it’s considered high risk as the market cannot be predicted. Since BTC is the world’s most popular and the ultimate mother of all cryptocurrencies, the less risky way is just simply holding it because you can’t deny that BTC’s value will rise once again.

Not everyday is Sunday, you can't make profit everyday. I being Not good in day trading or short term trading like to accumulate btc when it gets bearish and will sell when it goes up. There are traders who make money whether its bearish or bullish season since they have necessary experience of handling wild fire of cryptocurrency. New commers must go for hodling.

As an HODLER investor, every bearish market opens an opportunity for me to purchase more BTCs while the price is down on the market. Although this technique will not guarantee profit short-time, it definitely has the potential of earning you significant amounts of return in long-term (basing this purely on the price history index of BTC).

If you aim to earn short-term profits, then trading would be the advisable way to go although this may be extremely risky especially for newbies who lack the experience in this kind of platform.

Trading will be more difficult especially in times of bearish season and if the trader alone is still not skilled or lack of experiences. I'd rather be buying and holding for long term as it has less risk and yet, the profits will be huge enough after long term holding. Patience will always be the best virtue not just in holding but even in trading too. Aside from that, we can also start making real businesses offline so we can gain profits too from other sources aside from crypto. Bearish season cannot give us immediate profits most of the time so looking for another source of income is advisable.

Truth be told, if you want to make money off bitcoin being either bullish or bearish nothing beats the art of trading it. I know most have hodling to be the strategy of all time but i think most hold onto their losses and miss out on taking profits out when momentum seems to have diminished....but of course if you are in the markets for long experience becomes your ally and you get to get profits out on several occasions which are some of the tricks you get to learn. But I think trading bitcoin is the best way as you always have targets were you want to take out profits from regardless of a bullish or bearish market, you make profits from either directions.

There's some various ways to still gain money or carry on money making. But it usually depends how you handle it or how ready you are when the bitcoin starts to turn bearish.
Hodling coins is still a profitable but it needs more patience due to the bear market. Or you can join signature campaigns in this forum but I'm quite sure you already joined one. You can also do some marginal trading but you need to be more focus and put an extra effort and time to gain because you will buy and sell any small movements in the market to gain profit.
I know bear market wil gonna be a headache but it depends you handle it smartly and still make profits even the market is declining.

If you need some more ways to earn while the market is bearish. Here are some examples and ways to earn that I found on the internet.

I personally believe that when Bitcoin is acting bearish, it's time to hold. Don’t sell it in a hurry because we have seen the journey of Bitcoin and its volatility and prices keep on fluctuating. If it's bearish now, it will see a bullish trend soon.

There is a too much probable scenario this time .
The trick to sell at the top and by in the bearish can be dangerous because the fiat can really die this time .
How do you solve this problem?
You sell btc in bull-top and buy fiat ready to buy at bearish meanwhile the fiat _crash_  .
How do you protect yourself from this scenario?

Once bitcoins turn bearish it will be very hard to make a profit with our coins. Professional daytraders will be able to keep making money in a downward trend, but I am more of a HODL investor when it comes to bitcoins. The problem with a bear market is that if we buy and sell too much we might miss the next rally. Prices can move very quickly in the crypto markets, not being invested can us miss out on profits. In my opinion we should turn towards other crypto currencies when bitcoins are bearish. There are so many crypto projects out there that are independent of Bitcoins. Investing in some new crypto projects until we get another bull market, can help us to make some money while our BTC are tanking.

Now that we are approaching end of the year, it will be a good idea to both long term and short term investors to hold their coins because there is something good that is about to happen to the price of bitcoin that will make all bitcoin investors celebrate as never before in the community. Since the price of bitcoin is not too stable in the market correctly, it will be a good choice for any bitcoin investors to buy more and hold before the price will hit $70 before the end of December.
Always take your personal research serious in this season for you to be able to achieve income from your investment.

I have to say I'll just be sitting on it :) That strategy worked well for me last time and I plan on continuing. I work enough for crypto when the season is active, so when it's time to chill, I just hodl. The thing is, that works for me because this is not my main income and I can treat it however i can, but it might not work for everyone.

It’s still trading, or you can look for something else to do while the market is down. For most people, what they do is just have patience till the market is up again, and they will make profit. Then as for others who are skilled enough to understand how trading works, and they can analyze the market to know which direction it moves to within a short time, they can decide to go for the short term trading and be able to make a little profit from the price fluctuation that happens everyday in the market.

Then you can decide to look for other things to do, there are so many opportunities in the forum that can get you some profit if you are able to participate in any of them. So it’s a kind of decision that you have to make for yourself, and whatever you think is going to work for you, then that’s what you should be focusing on.

If you are a short term trader then these conditions wont really be affecting you much but if you are going for long term then you would really be minding on on how to make some DCA moves which is really very common but not really that easy to make out decisions to be like this because it would really mainly involves about emotion which is really very that hard to make out direct decisions.

When you see negatives about bitcoin or FUD regarding it in News, Paper or any other sort of media then remember that someone's trying to make the majority sell their crypto currencies which will reduce the price so they can buy them at a cheaper price.

Make money by shorting futures with a large of leverage. It's risky, but it's probably a lot of money. Alternatively, you can sometimes make money on shitcoins because those coins are controlled by the pump and dump. You can still make money by joining the pump of each shitcoin and ensuring that you profit once the pump ends. Finding hidden gems is really one of my things when the market is very bearish, it could give you easy x10 if it pumps.

holding is my passion, get coin from campaign or buy trusted one, than hold till price good.
im not sure if want to try on new coin these day, some of my coin give back my capital, and the rest just sleep as well on the wallet.
i have my own job on real life, and thats from my bitcoin, so when the market go down, i just focus more on my daily struggle.

There is a too much probable scenario this time .
The trick to sell at the top and by in the bearish can be dangerous because the fiat can really die this time .
How do you solve this problem?
You sell btc in bull-top and buy fiat ready to buy at bearish meanwhile the fiat _crash_  .
How do you protect yourself from this scenario?

mostly, people wont think about that one, they just think about how to get money as much as they can. and admit it, we will do that if chance come repeatly.

trade immediately, with good analysis, if the price is low, immediately buy and sell when the price is high later, maybe that's what I can suggest, because an opportunity doesn't come twice, so we have to take advantage of that opportunity as well as possible. We can't predict what will happen in the future, but the effort we must do to prevent something bad from happening is very necessary.

When I feel that the market is going to bearish mood. Then I convert my 50% portfolio into usdt and from the reaming 50% I open the short position. And make profit from bearish market. And buy coins within dump. Because they are available at very cheap price

Maybe you mean to reach the price of $ 70,000. maybe the end of this year will be achieved and become a new ATH again.

However, the market is currently bearish and looking for new support as a jump to reach a new ATH. Buying more and holding on to it would certainly be great. This is where capital management is needed, because if you don't manage, your trading will be messed up. A steady market like this is a good opportunity to multiply profits by buying at the bottom price.

I think you must have something doing apart from investing in Bitcoin and like you said if you are one of those who made profit during the bull, then pull the profit together and invest in side business that can sustain you if there is going to be a time you claim in the future

Holding is the safest way, but if we can’t wait then better convert to usdt especially if your in profit already those who have extra money can buy more during that time or do day trading to take profit whenever the price dump and increase a bit, though it requires a knowledge in trading and more of monitoring. I regretted the time I needed to convert my BTC due to emergency even the price is too low, and most ICO altcoins losing their value, that’s why it is okay also to convert and wait to buy back once the market is in status of recovering since we can’t guarantee when the price will be better again.

I personally believe that when Bitcoin is acting bearish, it's time to hold. Don’t sell it in a hurry because we have seen the journey of Bitcoin and its volatility and prices keep on fluctuating. If it's bearish now, it will see a bullish trend soon.
You are right. selling bitcoin in hurry will make you not to know your direction and values of what you have, relaxing for some time before selling bitcoin have advantages because time of keeping may come during the size when bitcoin price is going up, and i will like to keep my bitcoin for long way before i will sell.

You should have a plan to preserve your wealth before "bears" take over the market. The best way to do this is to sell your Bitcoin to Fiat when it's going up, and then buy back when it's going down. Stablecoins are extremely convenient when it comes to protecting yourself against market volatility. As they always say, "Cash is king when the market goes bearish".

Consider the current situation as a huge opportunity to grab some Bitcoin at a discount. The future holds many exciting things for Bitcoin as it continues to improve every step of the way. With subsequent halvings, Bitcoin will only become valuable over time. If you "stick" to the plan, you'll be on a road towards non-stop financial success. Just my opinion :)
