There seems to be a lot of congratulations from everywhere, and I'm glad I got to know Bitcoin so far. What do you most want to say as a form of gratitude because without Bitcoin, maybe I would not have been born in this forum.
For the presence of Bitcoin that has changed my life into something I never expected before.

What are your hopes for the future for Bitcoin and its sustainability?  ;)

A whitepaper (https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf) that I must keep forever and will hang on the wall of my room for my descendants to see in the future  :D

Only need 9 pages for the most genius guy/s to describe the most innovative ideas and start the decentralization financial revolution. Even though there are now many derivative innovations (creation of Altcoin), but do not change the slightest position of Bitcoin as the only most trusted Crypto and are widely adopted by financial services, institutions even begin to be legalized.
I thank Bitcoin has been with me in my 6 years, after all Bitcoin has changed my financial condition a lot for the better. So far, I have succeeded in stages since 4 years to build a real micro business thanks to Bitcoin. May my business develop as Bitcoin with extraordinary achievements.

What are your hopes for the future for Bitcoin and its sustainability?  ;)

Hopefully Bitcoin users can spend them anywhere freely (legalized but not controlled).

In just 13 years, it has changed the whole world when it comes to financial matters and all government in all nations was afraid because they think it's the biggest threat to the traditional financial institutions.  But in fact, look at now, there are some governments in embraced Bitcoin and it becomes legal tender and all of these should we give thanks to the great anonymous name "Satoshi Nakamoto".

At the age of 13th, it seems Bitcoin is now a teenager.

We're so lucky that we're here in the forum and being a part of the history and here we are now celebrating another year of existing on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has changed many lives and has changed mine too, after working
for 30 years before I met Bitcoin I had very little to show for it. Bitcoin
indirectly has made me more knowledgable about finances in general,
especially my personal finances and directly has offered me a better way
to save some of my earnings for the future without them being devalued
year after year.

More and more people are waking up to this and finding the best alternative
in Bitcoin and as FIAT financial problems become more evident Bitcoin will
be there to escape into, that is the future.

Hopefully in the future it will provide even more benefits for the future of all of our descendants. If Satoshi was still, then he was the happiest person in the world. That is all what you need, if you take the time to at least look at the best known works of the different geniuses through the ages you will see they do not need thousands of pages to describe a principle of nature and then find practical applications for it.

And this is true in many disciplines, for example some of the most beautiful music around the world is just a few pages long and yet that is more than enough for those masters to show their skills, so I am not surprised this is the case for Satoshi as well.

Do you agree that the name SATOSHI NAKAMOTO is included in the list of 100 MOST INFLUENCED FIGURES IN THE WORLD (by Michael Hart). What is the proper rank for someone as genius as him? Isn't that something that deserves to be included as the person who first caused an uproar in the digital world with his creations that have had a major influence on the world's technological advances.

Wow, time flies fast, it feels like Bitcoin has only recently been created, and yet it's already 13 years from publishing the whitepaper and soon it will be 13 years since the first block. I remember how people were saying all the time that Bitcoin is a ponzi or a bubble, but today almost no one says this. Maybe 13 more years and Bitcoin will very commonly used.

My Bitcoin story isn't that different from others.

I got into crypto in late 2016. While I wasn't here earlier, Bitcoin has changed my life for the better since then and I'm totally grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way since then. Bitcoin, Blockchain and crypto are fruits that have kept on giving.

What are your hopes for the future for Bitcoin and its sustainability?  ;)

I'm hoping that Bitcoin eventually gets the much needed scalability it needs to onboard the next billion users, doing this without tradeoffs in tx costs and finality.

Op, I must thank you for this particularly for the provisions of the white paper because this happen to be my first time of reading Bitcoin white paper and it was really amazing write up buy the author. Though I have through the abstract and the concluding part of the white paper, I will now take my time to go through the nine pages of this amazing write up. One must remain great full to Satoshi for his initiative as that has helped many around the world to make a living out of his initiative.

Unfortunately, there are some users that can't access that site dues to the court order. Listing a collection of the whitepaper mirror would also be good and encouraged. It will preserve the Bitcoin whitepaper. There's also a thread here that collects a mirror of Bitcoin whitepaper: Thread to gather all redundant links to the bitcoin whitepaper (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346576.0)

13 years has been a blink of an eye, and just looking at how Bitcoin grew throughout the years coming from a small value to thousands of dollars by now, this is actually my first time reading the whitepaper of Bitcoin and I get to see how the transactions were explained in a detailed manner, if I get to see that whitepaper back then, I would have told myself to definitely invest in this because it looks promising, more like the future of digital currency.

My hopes for the future of Bitcoin is definitely the access of Bitcoin anywhere, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is definitely going to be utilized well in the future, so I really think that the accessibility of it is something I'm looking forward to.

Who would have thought that the release of this whitepaper 13 years ago has something very huge that came out from the inside of those content.
I'm just wondering what was Satoshi's prospective percentage on the success rate of his creation after he released the white paper to the public.
Well, Bitcoin isn't just a very interesting asset, but It also possessed with intriguing and mysterious questions behind the creation of the first cryptocurrency in this planet.

Again, congratulations to Satoshi Nakamoto for creating such wonderful work of art, and for everyone who trusted his work. Cheers!

I do believe that Bitcoin will be used more and more widely in the future. It will be possible to pay with Bitcoin everywhere as well as everybody will be aware of it. As well as Bitcoin, the whole crypto industry will grow and people will be free in terms of their finance, we will be able to make any transactions we want without fear of banning them like in case with traditional financial system.

Happy 13th Anniversary to the most profound research in the field of financial and technological frame! I think this was the wild day when they published their wildest dreamy idea to make it reality. I am also thankful for such great mind who managed to overcome the centralised and traditional banking system by creating complex yet simple to use currency system. It's been 13 years for the paper, but his research might have been started long ago as a way to achieve his dreams. Who knows when this spark came in on Satosh's mind and nobody will ever know that since the secrete lies with them only.

Congratulations to this SUCCESSFUL PUBLIC EXPERIMENT FROM MOST SECERETIVE RESEARCHER _ SATOSHI

This anniversary is today known only among us, the Bitcoiner communities, but the creation of Bitcoin has been so important for humanity that in the future it will be studied in the history books. Besides the anniversary of the white paper will be mentioned in general media just like other events such as the discovery of America or the arrival of man on the moon.

Happy anniversary everybody!

I cannot believe it is 13 years already..... "13" the number that are unlucky for some... but lucky for other. I wonder what Satoshi Nakamoto will say about his invention now? Will Satoshi be happy that it lasted this long... or unhappy that centralized financial institutions has latched onto it to make profits? (effectively destroying pseudo anonymity for a lot of people)   ::)

I think he will be happy that adoption has grown and that countries like Venezuela has accepted Bitcoin as a currency. (After all... Bitcoin is not supposed to be a commodity, but rather an alternative currency)  :P

If i remember correctly, there was a major economic crisis in 2008 and just after a year later Satoshi come up with this white paper which rectifies the problems in the current economic model. This was in reaction to the current paper money model, which makes rich more richer and poor more poorer. Sadly bitcoin has not been accepted widely and openly even after 13 years. Lets hope the adoption come soon everywhere.

It's amazing now that it's been 13 years and it's really beyond belief that bitcoin can reach this long and grow rapidly, with the 13th anniversary of the bitcoin Whitepaper being proof that those who used to be behind bitcoin became one of the heroes that many are proud of and are proud of I'm certainly happy to be in this great community.

Apart from that, adoption has also had a big impact, now being part of bitcoiners since 2015 was able to change my life, which means a lot and it's a sign that many communities have changed to know better what bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are.

This is a day history will never forget.

True, although the whitepaper isn't that great for newbies that aren't already familiar with encryption, Crypocurrencies or have a technical background in computers. If I was going to try, and persuade someone who is a member of the general public, I wouldn't be showing them the Bitcoin Whitepaper right off the bat. Instead, I'd look to find less complex resources which explain it in a friendly manner, then supplement that with the Bitcoin Whitepaper.

Since, I believe the whitepaper is more for the technically minded, rather than the general public.

If i remember correctly, there was a major economic crisis in 2008 and just after a year later Satoshi come up with this white paper which rectifies the problems in the current economic model. Generally, when life throws up a problem, a solution is found. Bitcoin was the solution to people losing their money with banks that needed bailing out. However, most people are sleeping on that very fundamental principle of Bitcoin, and instead see it as a risky investment that could potentially make them a lot of money to put back into their bank which will likely need bailing out yet again eventually or worse cease trading entirely.

Times flies, it seems like yesterday event but its 13 years.
I realised what btc is, when I started receiving payments of my online work from clients across the world. Payment is instant and without any cuts. I was amazed since I user to get payments via fiverr where 20% was deducted by fiverr and payment is also released after 14 days of order completion. I have to admit I am not a trader just a hodler.
The reason why I like is because it makes p2p payments a reality and I am happy I used btc for the purpose its created.

I really hope that Bitcoin can be used and enjoyed by the generation after mine. We really cant know for sure whether or not a central entity will try and close access to it. The government's best interests are those that are of the people, they try as hard as they can to keep control of currency.

Lists like that are always difficult as there is a lot of bias involved when it comes to decide what is more important or more influential, however if it was up to me I would put Satoshi on the list without thinking about it.

Bitcoin despite all the growth that has experimented during all of its years of existence is still relatively new, if we give it a decade or two I am sure we will see people using bitcoin everywhere without even thinking about it, and when we take into account that money is an essential part of the economy then it makes sense to have Satoshi in a list like that as his influence will be enormous at that point.

I've checked on Twitter yesterday and it's the top trending on my wall with the tag #satoshi. The trending is related to the Bitcoin whitepaper. Well, happy 13th anniv to bitcoin's whitepaper. But I think there are still people that are very misinformed about satoshi, I sadly saw some people as I hover on those tweets that they really think that it's CSW who's the real satoshi since they're bringing up the issue about him and 1M btc. I just feel that I have to share it here and feel bad for those misinformed folks.

Thank you a lot for this post. On the 31 of October 2008 year (13 years ago) the word Bitcoin was firstly mentioned in the whitepaper. But actually BTC was “borned” in the beginning of January 2009 (3 January 2009 year -12 years and 8 month ago) when the bitcoin network was created and the first block was mined. Really, a lot had happened during past years. Can you even imagine that on the moment of writing this post 707919 blocks are already mined (that is 18,862,000 million of BTC or 89.819% of all BTC)?! Only 2,138,000.0BTC are left to be mined but it will take more than 100 years to do this. Many investors and miners became millionaires because they believed in BTC at the very beginning or entered on time. Some investors lost their passwords and there were situations when people even committed suicides because of this when find out that BTC increased a lot. Some only now entered the market (on hype) and started actively to invest or mine. BTC have changed our world forever.

I wonder if we will ever get to find out who Satoshi is within our lifetimes. Right now there is not the slightest indication that that will ever be the case, which is an odd thing to imagine. If Bitcoin is a government project we may find out in thirty or forty years, who knows. For now it all is unlikely.
