Title: Top 5 NFT Games You Should Be Looking Forward To
Post by: vladn00ne on November 04, 2021, 04:14:06 PM
Few people only understand NFTs through the lens of crypto punks and other jpegs? What about NFTs for concert tickets so an artist can better prevent scalpers. Or having your mortgage and title on the blockchain so it can be easily accessed and can't be disputed with your neighbors or other documents because it's immutable on the blockchain. Or loot from games being NFTs and you can "melt" that item to unlock the underlying coin that has a value.

With hundreds of NFT games dominating the gaming community nowadays, it is hard not to look for those who stand at the top. There are many games out there, but only a few of them poses a bright future to make it out alive against the challenges and demands of the current time and the future. Let’s identify the top 5 NFT games today!

1. Axie Infinity
Probably the most popular NFT game today, with over 485 million dollars of earnings between July and August of 2021. Axie Infinity is a turn-based, pokemon-inspired game which allows players to earn different animals called “Axies.” Three of these will form a team that can be used to challenge other players’ Axies or battle towards the Adventure mode. The game currently has a massive player count in the Philippines, with over 40% of its total estimate. More game modes like Land Axie will also be available in future updates. Despite being on its Alpha stage, Axie Infinity has gained so much recognition and revenue in 2021, allowing it to earn the first spot on our list. Visit https://axieinfinity.com/ if you are interested to become a part of the growing community.

2. Plants vs Undead
Sounds similar to Plants vs Zombies, right? The Plants vs Undead game is set in a world called Planet Plants. Players are tasked to take care of seeds and grow plants to fight the undead army. Plants from the in-game shop (non-NFT) or Plants bought directly bought from the Marketplace (NFTs) require everyday care as they grow and bear light energy which is an in-game currency that can be exchanged for PVU tokens, the currency that runs in the PVU ecosystem. PVP and Core game: Survival Mode is expected to be released in Q4 2021. Plants vs Undead has also gained the attention of players and investors. The game’s continuously growing recognition holds for its potential to become much more popular in the coming years. Take a peek at https://plantvsundead.com/ for a more detailed look at the game.

3. Samurai Doge
Referred to as the “next Axie Infinity,” Samurai Doge is a movement of 10,000 animated NFTs that is based on the Ethereum blockchain. Players may purchase a limited Samurai Doge NFT paired with its unique emotions, facial attributes, elements, and many more. These Samurai Doges also have their own specific armor, weapons, flags, food, and other accessories. The limited number of Samurai Doge’s available is what makes these NFTs valuable. Players who hold Samurai Doges will be able to breed the next generation of another Samurai Doges, claim a 3D Voxel Army, and participate in decentralized battles which will allow them to earn $HON tokens. The first pre-sale of 1,000 Samurai Doge units was sold in less than fifteen minutes. Another 4,000 units were also sold by the team on a later schedule. The beautiful and high-resolution design of these Samurai Doges will surely attract gamers and investors alike, not to mention the upcoming gameplay where owners will see their Samurai Doges in action. Visit their website at https://www.samuraidoge.net/ for more information.

4. Lost Relics
Powered by Enjin Coin, Lost Relics is a free-to-play NFT action-adventure game where you grind and loot inside dungeons to score rare items that can be sold in the game’s marketplace. If you’re a fan of the timeless action RPG Diablo franchise, this game is perfect for you. Lost Relics has gained the interest of many gamers that dedicate hours of their lives to continuously grind and build up their character’s stats. The rare items that can be looted are called “Relics” which can be labeled in the following rarities: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical and Transcendent. These items can either be used or sold to the market at a fair price. To date, only a limited number of players have access to the game as it is only on its Alpha Stage. Hop in now to https://lostrelics.io/ to register an account and be given a chance to participate in the game’s ever-evolving world.

5. Darkspace
An upcoming MMO real-time strategy NFT game that is based on the Conscripts.gg decentralized gaming platform. The game sounds similar to Starcraft and/or the Red Alert franchise where you are tasked to establish your own territory called the BEP-721 planet, build an army, and eventually challenge other commanders to colonize galaxies. Players can expand their empire by winning battles and defending themselves from enemy attacks, which will create other unique NFT planets. The resources garnered can be traded in the Conscripts Marketplace to earn a $CONZ token. The Darkspace NFT game is release is expected in 2022. Take a look at https://darkspace.conscripts.gg/ for a better view of the game’s future.

Beginning today and continuing forever, NFT games will continue to prosper and shape the way how the “gaming” economy works. Keep scrolling around the internet to look for more NFT games that pose great potential for development not only today but also in the years to come. I'm sure there are many other Play to Earn out there, care to share?

Actually, these games have already too hyped. What comes to Plants Vs Undead, I got to know about it 3 months ago when it just launched. I decided to buy its token for 17$ and then it rose to 24$ but eventually I had to sell it for 12$. Now it costs 0.5$ so I understand that this project died out in spite of its good idea of a game.

I think Axie Infinity is in the right spot. It's the #1 game and it will continue. It's like the Bitcoin in cryptocurrency space, but now it's within the NFT games. So I think it will stay at the top for a long time.

What I don't agree with is the rest of the list. Why didn't the OP include, Illuvium? It's one of the most awaited NFT games that are launching next year. It's a AAA game and the way it's being played is amazing for sure. I'm really hyping it based on the trailers and the possible gameplay and PTE type that they can give.

You won't be making high gains from them since they are already too high in value, the only way they can surge higher is when heavy alt season comes, my not look into the new gems like Hera token, wonder hero, doge dash?

Sorry to heard about your experienced in playing at plants vs Undead, actually, there are some of the games that has been arise only in the beginning then after a few weeks it got down their price value into a horrible thing in the market, just like Fusion Hero where I invested at around 8$ something then after a couple of days it went down to 0.3$ now if I am not mistaken. Meaning, with the author of this topic only Axie Infinity has the capability to stand for here in cryptocurrency under blockchain technology.

I guess PUV just don't have the right burning mechanism for their token when players keeps on producing them. I haven't played PUV and I was close to putting money in while it was still pumping. Luckily I've come to realize I might be late for the party, everyone was enjoying their gains and it seems nothing interesting about the game except If they have released the pvp feature.
I don't have any update but I guess they still don't have the pvp feature up until now.

Axie infinity is just different from any other play 2 earn Nft games when it comes to sustainability.

I´m right, if we see that Axie Infinity is still in charge, it is fine, although its earnings have dropped a lot and in some there is a lot of discontent, since several people have not recovered their investment yet, because apparently the new update of the AXIES requires buying others, and the problem with schools that when they change owners the axies remain at level 1.

Excuse me, you are in charge of all this Illuvium. I have been reviewing that project and it promises a lot, but I'm not very sure, is the investment very strong? I have only read a little about it, and although it seems to me to be quite promising I have not evaluated its scope.

I have a question for you OP. Are you playing all these games right now? Among these 5 NFT games, which one should you recommend for anybody to play? Or are you listing these according to rank, with Axie Infinity being the best one among them?

In these 5 NFT games that you mentioned I have only heard of Axie Infinity and Lost Relic but I haven't had the opportunity to play them myself. I have friends who are already playing and they seem to be doing well with those games.

The games you listed need some high capital if you wanna play which will make it hard for you to recover it easily since you are gonna play until 3-5 months until you get your capital back. Some of the investors who play these kinds of NFT games didn't get their capital until now. Because it will be hard for those who don't really know what they're and you will find those games often updating until your estimated time of ROI will no longer exist. the result is they always changed their way to play the game and mostly put more money into the game to speed up their ROI which will not be the case when the game starts to update yet again.

No need to be on high gains since these games are sustainable especially axie infinity. Usually early adopter ripped of the gains but if the game can be last long then it's fine. Play to earn games or meta verse designed specifically to earn within the game so high or low every players playing it can eventually do it without worrying whether the game is profitable. Some of the games listed got some hype but without a proper development it can die anytime.

I myself only focus on potential coins to trade..nft is a masterpiece that can measure the beauty for art awards..for image art both commercial music...can be from selling my own work and many developers who distribute both works and game rewards

it is undeniable that more and more games are loved by all people.. even companies don't want to miss this gap with the popularity of Nft/cryptocurency..

for the price of this Axie Infinity nft it's brilliant enough to be able to
Maybe the most popular NFT game right now, I didn't expect to get to $153 even though a few weeks ago it was still $20/coin .. for other tokens or other games I've never seen the chart..

where can i see the latest game listings? or monitor the nft gaming circulating.??

Another topic that praises Axie Infinity ? Why nobody warns, that to be able to play this game and start earning, you need first to invest around $500? Yes, I will repeat - to be able to start playing, you need to get 3 Axie to form a team. 1 AXS cost about $150 plus Ethereum transaction fee. Every played a game that ask you to pay $500 just to start? And is not a passive income. To be able to earn, you need to play daily. It is like going to a work, where you need to first buy entrance for half a thousand.

Axie Infinity is a top NFT game, but it is a costly game. A game that is not for everyone. I doubt that a school boy or teenager can afford it. And I doubt that a grown up can seriously play this game for a long period to reclaim investment.

excellent list but i would also add two games on the wax / eos blockchain more precisely alien worlds where you can mine a token called tlm and win / airdrop of the alien world and cryptomonkeys nft cards and then rplanet where you can stake various nft (di many collections) and create new nft with earned tokens

Unfortunately for me I won't be able to buy into these list of yours because they've gained the fame and some seem pricy in the Crypto space. I rather buy into the upcoming ones, what matters most is to understand the head start so as to get in at the right appropriate time.

I've played both Axie Infinity and PVU, Axie Infinity continues to grow and I mean grow than the mentioned games by OP, apparently, PVU is also a good NFT game but it does get boring unlike Axie Infinity wherein you actually get to experience a PVP strategy-based game, it's like playing Pokémon which I am a big fan of, and these cute axies but literally annoying when you face them in-game, some developers from a big game company should actually try to develop an NFT game and try to oppose Axie Infinity, I bet there's a potential NFT game in the making out there, it just needs proper marketing.

Axie Infinity is one of greatest and fully hyped project and can boom more because usecase is so high and demand is big.
I like also Sand and Mana which has great features and many games are launching under them. These games can increase the usecase of these coins and in future we can see a big increase of price in these tokens

You can also add MIR4. It's working relatively fine and no investments are required to start playing (f2p). Probably it's going to become one of the most popular play to earn games. However, it's a very competitive game where almost the entire map is PVP, especially the most important areas for the development of your character. Sometimes it's really annoying and stressing to have your progress delayed because the interference of another players.

Axie infinity is already popular and future growth is still possible but I'd prefer investing in projects that haven't done over 1000X since launch already that's why I choose the following

1. Elemon
2. Start atlas
3. Doge dash
4. Wonder hero

You are very lucky for selling at 12$ still, some crypto gaming projects lack real development and everything you see on their roadmaps are promising that won't ever be filled overtime, also abstain from buying coins when they are surging, imagine you just buying the dips at 0.5$, just because it's down doesn't mean it won't hit ATH again

Axie Infinity has been ruling the charts of play-to-earn ecosystem, but I would wait for Aurory, a role playing P2E game based on Solana to come out. Recently they have conducted a successful IDO and have raised millions as well. Apart from this, Solana Foundation is backing up the game and they have released various teasers which were promising enough for the project to rise in popularity in the upcoming days.

I like also Sand and Mana which has great features and many games are launching under them.
I believe MANA/Decentraland can serve as a non profit competitor for Facebook's Metaverse as both have been working on the same concept.

The fun will probably be gone after long hours of grinding. But you really need to grind in order to reach a certain level. Also the income will start only after reaching a certain level right? Meaning your efforts in the beginning will not be compensated whatsoever?

I am not really much motivated to invest in any cryptocurrency or blockchain game. Most of them that I’ve seen so far usually when they are launched, they come out with a high price and as time goes on they start to lose value, which is why I don’t really have much interest in them. But I do follow up and they seem really cool to me, I’ve seen a lot of them before which I can remember the names, but some hasn’t been launched.

I do make my research on them to know what is trending, and I know much about Axie Infinity and TheSandbox. Maybe as time goes if I am able to find one that I believe would be very good and worth investing in, then I will definitely go for it.

NFT and the gaming industry are becoming more and more interesting. I recently studied KAWAII ISLAND. This is a customizable anime metaverse game. Of course you know the metaverse is very developed and I suggest trying this. I know this game will also develop into PC and mobile versions.

The game doesn't become boring, because there is an automatic function you set that allow your character to grind for you while you are AFK. This automatic function includes auto-mission, auto-gathering and auto-combat. Many players stay logged in 24 hours for this reason, so they never stop evolving in game.

To start earning real money you have to reach at least level 40 and complete some "conquests" to be able to mine the called darksteel inside the valleys (mines). If you are an active player I believe you can reach to the minimum requirements in 3 days or so.

The only game here that I have heard of is Lost Relics on Enjin. I don't know what is the current state of development but i do remember having somethings collected from their games in my wallet. I have no idea what the Xilborn Axe of Might is worth now.

Apart from that, I probably have a few wooden bows, swords and maybe some pet i picked up. Does anybody here have played this game recently? It'd be great if someone from the above posters can expand upon the current state of the game and whether its worth running into a dungeon again. I was really hyped for this game called 9LA and Age of Rust which also started out on Enjin. No idea what happened to them either. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Playing the NFT game Axie Infinity  turns out to need capital to buy heroes and others, meaning it takes time to be able to reverse capital, and the price of each item is very different depending on the advantages and disadvantages.  for other nft games i don't understand and for axie not completely too

Thank you very much for answering my query. Now I understand I really need to have a desktop computer for it rather than just a laptop. I think my laptop cannot survive being in use 24/7. This is the downside of a level-up game. Aside from long hours of grinding, you can turn on the automatic function or have it piloted by another person, but it also means you character remains busy even if you are AFK.

I am surprised at how level 40 could be reached in just 3 days or so. How's the income by the way? Is it worth all the grinding?

I went to try and play Axie Infinity and it looked like I had to buy at least $300 in pets to start.  Barrier to entry. And some ETH barriers also. I hold no eth.

IMO Axie will be easily replaced by a product that has a low cost to play and is entertaining. I can't see it lasting in its current format.

That's true with Axie Infinity, you will have to have money in order to create a team. But the good thing about Axie Infinity is that players are not allowed to play multiple accounts. This results into the creation of scholarship. Those who cannot afford to create a team for themselves will still have the opportunity to play as scholars from those who are breeding Axies and create teams. So it is a great feature because not only are the owners who will earn, also other people who like to play but do not have the money to build a team.

Axie Infinity might last longer because it has become a sort of a Bitcoin in NFT gaming.

Hahaha, true, a desktop computer would be very welcome in this case. You can also check if you smartphone supports the game, because there is a mobile version as well, although the experience isn't complete by playing only this way.

In the beginning the grinding was totally worthful and the income awesome. The DRACO currency which you sell for another crypto currencies reached to 7$ or 8$, I can't remember exactly. It was speculated we could make 20$-25$ dollars daily easily, but as soon as the bots appeared and the players became more aggressive, the mining operation became harder and less rentable. At same time DRACO price also decreased and it's around 1,70$ right now, however it was pretty stable at 3$ until some days ago.

I was so satisfied with the profit made in the beginning that I felt incentivized to invest some money in the game to accelerate my progress, but now I confess I'm a bit unmotivated to continue with the same effort I was putting on it before. The game must remove the cheaters and give players who don't belong to top clans some decent opportunities to also thrive in game.

Right now if you are from the top clans' alliance of the server you are in heaven, nothing can stop or bother you, but if that is not the case you are doomed...

To be honest, Plants vs. Undead sounds too similar to Plants vs. Zombies, it looks like they are trying to ride the popularity of the latter, while I would not say that their game looks interesting.
Darkspace, on the other hand, looks like a decent project.

Axie Infinity, Plants Vs. Undead and Lost Relics are the ones that I've played already with the 5 games that OP has shared.

With NFT hype, there are new games that are being created every single day. I always see a video on Youtube regarding new games that are being created every day (sponsored). Different games, different genres, some of them are inspired with different games and characters like Axie Infinity, Monsta Infinite and Illuvium which is inspired by Pokemon. Bombcrypto which is inspired by Bomberman. Mir4 and Lost Relics are inspired by some other MMORPG's out there and Diablo as well.

TBH, its hard to invest into NFT's right now because of too much NFT games. I suggest that investing into some games that has a huge daily active users and has a huge communities.

From those 5 lists, I am only very familiar with Axie.
This is also very popular and trusted enough. Many people have played this, moreover we know how increase has been experiencing by AXs coin in the previous time.
Well, today, NFT is very happening, combined with the games, this is completed enough.
We can see how the world of the crypto industry is always changing and developing. And this year is the year of NFT, not only NFT games but also other NFT projects.
But yes sure, Games become one of the most favorite one. But, will they survive for some next years? As long as still many people are playing, this may be okay, isn't it?

From the list I know AXIE because I've played it and I know how its system is, however I have a Plant vs Undead account, but to be honest I don't see potential for the game, some say they are waiting for new updates, but I see that the updates they are not as relevant nor do they put something good such as the money gain as Axie had in the beginning of 2021, that everyone who played AXIE filled up with money quickly, now the truth is that I do not see that any game calls my attention to what be profitable. My hope is that this year they release NFT games based on the metaverse to see if things improve.

The latest update from the market. PVU is dead and the value is dropping a lot and so many people are loosing a lot of their money caused by they can't meet ROI. The price is too low for them all to get reliable reward from doing play to earn on PVU game. Axie is the one who is still alive from your list OP. I tell you now that the majority of play to earn token can't sustain for long term. PVU is the best example about how bad play to earn without good tokenomic.
People are only grinding for money and they didn't care about the game. The fact that only top play to earn game that can still alive. PVU, SKILL and BOMB already dead.

 1. Axie Infinity
 2. Plants vs Undead
 3. Samurai Doge
 4. Lost Relics
 5. Darkspace

Beginning today and continuing forever, NFT games will continue to prosper and shape the way how the “gaming” economy works. Keep scrolling around the internet to look for more NFT games that pose great potential for development not only today but also in the years to come. I'm sure there are many other Play to Earn out there, care to share?

the games you mentioned all, high quality in the use of money for initial capital to build a team. for now the game is not suitable for entry by newcomers who are just for learning or looking for freebies,
I have one game that is still quite affordable for beginners http://www.crazydefenseheroes.com

I've heard about the game you mentioned and if I'm not mistaken Animoca Brands (the developer of this game) is from Hong Kong. I will try to explore this game, if it turns out that this is a game that is worth it to play then it will be good for all of us.

With hundreds of NFT games dominating the gaming community nowadays, it is hard not to look for those who stand at the top. There are many games out there, but only a few of them poses a bright future to make it out alive against the challenges and demands of the current time and the future. Let’s identify the top 5 NFT games today!

~snip~
I would disagree with this list but I do not have 5 that I could list. Like Axie is definitely a great one, but then I would say Floki Valhalla is another upcoming that looks like has a great potential as well, gods unchained is up there and not on your list, defi kingdoms has been there for a while. That list has none of those, maybe a list done to shill something, but it is lacking a lot and I would definitely try to avoid that as much as I can.

Doesn't mean you should be making a good return, it just means that we should not be avoiding the real good games with high potential that people already putting so much volume and ignore them from our lists.

Honestly, I didn't want to spend any more money on crypto this month
Me too. I have stopped spending on NFT games to be specific with Axie Infinity. I'm at loss but that's okay, rewards that I'm earning right now are on hold, and waiting for the price to pump.
This is part of the volatility of the market and anyone who understands it won't think of anything different from the usual cryptocurrencies that we hold. I am still looking forward to the v3 that they will release but I don't think that this is going to pump the price of their SLP since any major release and update they have, they get a little pump, and then that's it. The pump's over!

[..]

Thanks for this list. I like this combination very much. However, in my opinion, one very important position is missing in the games mentioned.

You should also pay attention to the Splinterlands:

https://splinterlands.com/

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/splinterlands

According to statistics, the number of players is increasing faster than in Axie Infinity  ;)

For me it was a big disappointment to not be able to earn SLP from adventure mode anymore. After that I've stopped playing, because PVP mode is a big waste of time if you don't have a professional team, which is my case. Now, just like you, I'm waiting for SLP price to rise again, so I can sell some tokens I still have stored here.

But definitely I'm not going to sell them for 1 cent. I prefer to not profit anything than earning 1 cent on each SLP.

this kind of game should be judged after a long term in seeing their quality because most of them could be having a really bad economic model that aren’t sustaining in the long run.
just like the case of axie infinity that are generating NFT like there is no tomorrow and as a result the value of their NFT always decreasing day by day.
instead, it could be said a blockchain game is a great game if the team behind the game also thinking for the long term, because honestly the core reason why so many people keeps playing this kind of game because they could earn profits out of it, if the value is dropping everyday I can guess they gonna be leaving the game ASAP.

The fact that only some from all of them in the list are sustainable for long term judging from the concept

From the list you make is indeed the NFT game that we are waiting for, because the game does have great potential to develop in the future, especially infinity axie which has been very popular even though in the past few days they are experiencing problems due to hackers but it is not a reason to be able to develop in the future, If we want to get results from the game then we all have to try.

There are some more into development that could replace these games but axie infinity has grown to wide range and at big level so it will go on for long term. The benefits of axie infinity are utility and player engagement through different moves of cards and you have to make plans to win it not like simple P2E game without any use.The next series of game might bring good usecase for players. So looking forward for them.

Axie could go long term if they keep doing what they have been doing, but they just got a hacking situation going on, and SLP have been going down a lot and earning money there right now is nearly impossible, it is just not happening right now. They could start their "origin" game and maybe that will be better, maybe the game will look better but I do not think that it will be a long term thing.

I believe that there will be some 3D good looking game that will come out and make a lot of money for people. My friend "tested" something and literally built a better game connected to web3 and crypto token that he created, and that was just testing. Imagine how amazing games companies can build if my friend can build something better than axie while just testing. So the future holds many great games for sure.

'NFT games' and 'look forward to' simply don't go in the same sentence.

The fact of the matter is that you only play these games to make money, and the actual gameplay mechanics are atrocious and downright fraudulent at worst.

Axie even suffered a significant hack, but the hype within the space was so great that they were able to secure another round of funding within the month. Absolutely crazy how much money is sloshing around in this space, but not necessarily to a good cause.

And the worst part in this, is that some projects put their money into the quality of games, arts, novels, etc. But projects who put all their money in marketing, and get full mint, I know one project that does everything, they called Reptile Chronicles, but they are not on top for now

My question about this is the following, perhaps the NFT games, with the exception of Axie Infinity, what internal economies are they managing? because I know that the failure of most NFT games is because their internal economy has been uncontrollable and it becomes a bubble or a pyramid scheme that cannot be controlled, I think this is the reason why NFT games in 2021 they went down, and that any developer could leave with all the funds of the users, leaving them totally scammed, which seems to me to be a joke much worse than that of the ico in 2017.

Those who played Axie Infinity made great money. I saw the game in the early period, but I did not play it. Because high prices were required to enter the game. It looked like pay to earn instead of play to earn. But those who invested some money in the game earned very good money. I couldn't manage to take risks in this matter. Honestly, looking back, I feel regretful. It is necessary to follow the trends in the market well and not be afraid to take risks when appropriate.

I am looking for some new interesting NFT projects, which will be successful for a long time. And I think that I have found it yet. Have you heard about the p2e game "reptile chronicles"? I am so waiting for the release of this game

I'm still new to the NFT theme, is it promising right now?

In the current market situation, it is difficult to say that NFT or other trends such as p2e, m2e... will continue to exist and develop in the market. Now is not the time to invest in things that are unclear about the future, I think you should look to the top projects that would be more suitable at this time.

The top coins have dropped a lot since their peak, so you'll have plenty to choose from, I'm not sure if you will profit from NFT, but if you invest in top projects then I guarantee you will be profitable when the bull season comes.

I don't play those games listed by OP but speaking of NFT games I played MIR4 and Thetan Arena before but were stopped by that supertyphoon Odette as it damaged and broke my phone and laptop. I was so unfortunate with NFT's as I was not able to jump in to that famous Axie Infinity right after it was launched but lucky to my friends and relatives they've earned pretty decent during it's peak.

The five NFT projects that you are talking about here are undoubtedly good projects but the Hype of NFT is at the very end. Now the web three and website projects are very hyped in the market. Maybe the upcoming Earn to Earn and play to earn projects are very good, so in my opinion this NFT project is very good. You should keep your eyes on Earn to Earn and play to earn projects.

Are you sure that the NFT hype is over?, If you think web 3 or metaverse will be the next hype trend then you shouldn't ignore NFT, all 3 are closely related. But P2E projects I really don't know if they will come back or not. It's hard to say for sure but there are still a lot of P2E projects that are still in development despite the bear season that has brought a lot of projects down.
