Title: Where is my tokens?
Post by: hack3rcon on November 07, 2021, 03:19:08 PM
Hello,
In the Trust Wallet, I had 128.X Tethers (ERC20) and some Ethereum and I wanted to buy some Ethereum Meta (ETHM) token. I used Uniswap to buy the ETHM, but I never received any tokens and I have some questions and I'm thankful if anyone answer to my questions by number:

1- Where is my tokens? The Transaction Details are https://etherscan.io/tx/0x17cc7d8f4d82c35a208cadb06a920d870d8c9a3e5720fc4791e79e13ab9661bf (https://etherscan.io/tx/0x17cc7d8f4d82c35a208cadb06a920d870d8c9a3e5720fc4791e79e13ab9661bf).

2- At the time of purchase, I visited https://etherscan.io/gastracker (https://etherscan.io/gastracker) and the gas fee was something about $10.X, but why it get me $112.87? How can I calculate the gas fee exactly?

3- What is the cheapest wallet? Is Trust Wallet a good wallet?

4- Ethereum use Binance Smart Chain (BEP20) too, can I order an Ethereum based token via Binance?

Thank you.

It might be not listed on your wallet. Try open this (https://etherscan.io/token/0xfd957f21bd95e723645c07c48a2d8acb8ffb3794?a=0xc2743547aa23ceb4d46be160a212fa9d06726a1a) on the "Profile Summary" section click more, and then click "Add Token to Metamask".

That's the estimation for a regular tx, you should look at the "Uniswap Swap" estimation.

3- What is the cheapest wallet?
The tx fee does not affect based on what your wallet is.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
Where is "Profile Summary" section? As I said, I use Trust Wallet.
How to see the "Uniswap Swap" estimation?
Why Uniswap in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum-meta/markets/ (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum-meta/markets/) is "N/A"?
In https://etherscan.io/address/0xe592427a0aece92de3edee1f18e0157c05861564 (https://etherscan.io/address/0xe592427a0aece92de3edee1f18e0157c05861564), what does "Pending" mean? Is it a problem from the Uniswap?

You are right, my bad!

You can refer to https://community.trustwallet.com/t/how-to-add-a-custom-token/213. and the contract address for your token is: 0xFD957F21bd95E723645C07C48a2d8ACB8Ffb3794

How to see the "Uniswap Swap" estimation?
On the gas tracker site you mentioned.

what does "Pending" mean? Is it a problem from the Uniswap?
The transaction hasn't been confirmed yet. It's not a problem from Uniswap.

You can't if you are implying to buy ERC20 ETH using BEP20 wallet but you can buy BEP20 ETH which is same value but can't be use as utility token on Ethereum Blockchain simply an ETH(ERC20) pegged token, They are separate blockchain now. BSC came from Ethereum Blockchain so there are some similarity on there blockchain. You can possibly buy ETH(BEP20) and just use bridge to swap it to Erc20. But you will still pay a conversion which is very expensive since most of the smart contract fee on ERC20 unless its a peer to peer transaction.

Thank you.
I got my tokens, but in the Trust Wallet, I have two Ethereum Meta. One of them existed in the Trust Wallet token list by default and another one is that I added it now. That one that I added manually not have any price. Why?

The first Ethereum Meta was in trust wallet by default. You didn't need to add it manually. All you were supposed to do was to activate it.

The first Ethereum Meta is configured to pick up the coin price from an exchange automatically, while the second one which you added manually isn't. That why you see no price. Just delete the second one and use the one that was there by default.

~~~
I will leave you a tip for your next transactions: before buying any coin, use coinmarketcap and possible options for buying the coin you are interested in. In your case, the most optimal solution was to buy Ethereum Meta (ETHM) using BSC. In this case, you would pay a commission that would be equal to a few cents.
Regarding second point, those fees shown are for ether transfer, dex transfers like uniswap cost more. If you scroll a bit, you will see estimated cost for uniswap transactions which is $130 atm.
