Title: MEXC Wallet: Payment Methods
Post by: KHamilton on November 19, 2021, 03:34:12 PM
I watched several Youtube vids about how to add payment methods to Mexc wallet and followed the instructions step by step. There aren't but 2-3, as most of them just explain how to swap crypto to crypto...Anyhow, I set it up to draft from my bank account and from Paypal. However, when I go to actually buy crypto, it's telling me "insufficient balance"..which I KNOW to be a fallacy. I just don't think the payment methods are actually connecting. For PayPal it only asked for my email address and phone number. For the bank account it only asked for the name of the bank, account number, and branch address....This is SO frustrating, as I've missed the major dip on several coins that are on my list to buy...Please HELP!!

Have you tried asking their online customer service? You will see an icon at the bottom right of their site if you haven't tried that option yet. I'm not sure how active their live chat is but it's the best place to ask regarding these matters.

Where are you trying to buy through your PayPal or bank account?

AFAIK, they only let you buy crypto:

a) through crypto itself or stablecoin trading pairs (i.e BTC/USDT, BTC/USDC, BTC/ETH, etc...).
b) through credit card (https://otc.mexc.com/otc/quickCreditCard)
c) through OTC (https://otc.mexc.com/)

As far as I know there is no Paypal option for buying crypto via otc in MEXC, they only support P2P and Credit cards. Just want to ask why MEXC? there are many alternatives like Binance and Kucoin for more easier payment methods or you mentioned you have Paypal funds to buy btc then you can try here in this section use trusted escrow for smooth transaction: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
