Title: What did you buy with crypto?
Post by: Easteregg69 on December 16, 2021, 10:01:41 AM
I bought a NordVPN connection with Crypto! Paid in BTT (Bittorrent coin) But they also accepts BTC and LTC and.. Like Newegg.

Keep it real.

BTW. Looks like Russia has deleted it self from the world map of VPN's. Moscow and Skt. Petersburg is missing.

Check this out: "Connected from Hong Kong".

Quite sadly, what I've mostly spent my BTC/crypto on are proxies, VPNs, and servers as well. There's simply not much things you can spend crypto on if you're in a 3rd world country besides digital stuff.

I mostly buy coupons. E.g. for Amazon.
This definitely saves taxes and is anonymous...
There are now many providers who sell vouchers of all kinds against crypto!

Currently, use crypto or Bitcoin in buying hosting and domain on Namecheap and Hostinger but there are lots of sites out there accepting it.

Like purse.io where you can buy any item from Amazon with discounts.
Or buy a hardware wallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5282364.0) most of them accepting Bitcoin or altcoin.

But take note of this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198903.0
You can find most of the sites that accept bitcoin and altcoin.

Brotherly is uncountable to mention what i bought bitcoin with, bitcoin has become what  i really use for my daily exchanges transaction, currently, from the level of tutorial i gave to my mechanic concerning cryptocurrencies and especially bitcoin, after educating my mechanic about bitcoin and also created a wallet for him, he is now accepting my payment with bitcoin instead of a fiat currency, and also i cut my hair with bitcoin, i dont know from your various countries if bitcoin adoption has come down to the grassroots. I even noticed that without government implementation of bitcoin in my country people interest over bitcoin is accelerating with high frequency.

I bought a keyboard once with it, that was probably the only physical product I've spent Bitcoin with (and that was a few years ago iirc). Nowadays I just use it to pay hostings for my websites as well as VPNS that I use for playing games. On that note does gambling count? I've had a few sessions here and then when I want to do some stress relief and I mostly use crypto casinos now compared to other casinos (together with sports betting).

IIRC, that's been the case for a very long time on NordVPN but you can still find Russian servers in other VPNs that also accept BTCitcoin and other cryptocurrencies:
Note: I prefer to not vouch (DYOR)!

  • CyberGhost (https://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_US/vpn-server) has 60 servers in Moscow [screenshot (https://i.imgur.com/vkXm88t.jpg)].
    • ProtonVPN (https://protonvpn.com/vpn-servers/) has 9 servers in St. Petersburg [screenshot (https://i.imgur.com/PNPlrU3.jpg)].

In regards to the question in the subject field, I usually purchase "gift cards (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208530.0) [I can vouch for the first two on that list]".

The laptop am using right now I bought it with bitcoin and have also pay my fees with bitcoin when I was in a trading institution. I haven't acquire much with bitcoin,  but the little I have obtained with bitcoin it was a nice experience  indeed. I would love to come across people who are in business who accept bitcoin  constantly.

I have not been able to buy a single thing with my crypto except other cryptocurrencies and digital stuff. There is nothing that I can buy in my country with cryptocurrency but you do have an option to get cashback in Bitcoin by using an app if you make a purchase on Amazon using their service. I have done than paid in fiat on that app and got a cashback in Bitcoin.

IIRC, I've bought my hardware wallet with bitcoin as payment. That was years ago.

But if it's about using bitcoin and then converting it into cash. I've bought a lot of things just like my accessories and as well as personal stuff that I needed for my jobs like having a new phone and laptop.

If that would count, I've bought things that came from bitcoin profits.

Are you serious? Or was your question just the fulfillment of your subscription quota? ;D
Don't know how to use an internet search, ask questions like this?
In this case, if you are not cunning, let me help you with the search.
There are several VPN services provided with payment in bitcoin. Hope this helps.

Speaking about me, I have been paying with Bitcoin for my digital TV with hundreds of TV channels and a home theater for a long time.

I have only limited my crypto to swaps converting one crypto to another on different exchange. I should be looking forward to having my crypto do some extra function like buying some interesting stuffs from Amazon or possibly go for NordVPN so I can get a good feel of my crypto doing some extra jobs other than just investing and spending

In fact, in my country, a lot can already be bought with crypto, from coffee and technical goods to airline tickets, apartment rentals etc.
Crypto can even be bought or sold at the state post office  ;D
I didn't use crypto much to buy or sell but a few years ago I bought a new computer with crypto.
However, given the rise in crypto prices, it is actually better not to spend it but to hodl it.

I've ordered for graphic cards using Ethereum all the way from China before and things went smoothly with no single issue, at first I don't have the mind but verified buyers from the same seller gives good reviews about the seller so I just risked it, good experience so far

Thats interesting to be able to widely and easily spend Bitcoin at will.
Its relative in a way, while Bitcoin prices rise and FIAT prices stay fixed
we dont have to spend as much Bitcoin for the same product.

My recent purchases were a domain name from Orangewebsite and
hosting from Hostinger, all with Bitcoin.

In the case of buying and selling with crypto,it's always gonna be a different case all over the world because most countries haven't legalised crypto and I think it's just a handful of countries that have done so.
These will only be possible if the is an agreement between the seller and the buyer of whatever commodity.
We'll For me, I have swapped my coins preferably (Bitcoin) very many times and have also purchased a solar panel and LCD regulator. Lol

Well I might be different here. My recent purchase using my BTC was a p2p transaction with my friend. He was offering Steam wallet cards to me in exchange of some few Bitcoins.

Speaking of Newegg, I could have bought an RTX card for my rig if only the price weren't so broken. I also thought back then that they weren't accepting Bitcoins anymore, but I could have been mixing Steam and Newegg. :D

What I do to my crypto is I converted it to fiat and then I bought it for daily needs as I don't have a job anymore and I am looking for a job right now but I think it's not gonna be easy because of the typhoon rai but I'll find a way to have a job. Before, I am saving/hodling most of  my crypto and I only get a small percentage from it to buy game credits and also when I need money I have crypto funds to use

There is quite a lot now that you can buy with crypto, especially as credit card companies like Mastercard are onboarding bitcoin and other assets to their payment services.

I'd say however, the best thing to buy with crypto is simply more crypto! :P

There's simply not much things you can spend crypto on if you're in a 3rd world country besides digital stuff.

Don't know for other third world countries outside African but those in African are getting a taste of what it like to transact using crypto. Although the government haven't approved it yet as those services aren't offical but things are been bought mostly through peer2peer with some additional centralized service providers. We now have shoe, cloths, bags etc shopping plugs that  accept cryptocurency payment. These are boutique own by individual with interest in the crypto space and I also know of online services that offers cable and mobile bills while accepting cryptocurrency but all these aren't offical yet.

I'd say however, the best thing to buy with crypto is simply more crypto! :P

Funny but true to some extent although you should never make the mistakes of buying altcoins with Bitcoin instead buy altcoins with fiats and trade them for Bitcoin when you get yourself some decent profits. Reason been that altcoins deprecate in value when viewed in satoshi even though it's appreciating in fiats value over a long period.
