Title: What is better to invest your funds in if the alt season starts?
Post by: Den3892 on December 16, 2021, 08:05:37 PM
Let's imagine for a second that the alt season began in early 2022. What to do and in which market segment to invest your funds? NFT P2E or DeFi, or is it better to invest in tokens of promising blockchains like NEAR AVAX MATIC DOT ATOM?

I suggest put your eyes on RON (RONIN Chain Token) at the time this token can be tradeable.

IMO, this token could be like "UNI" and other AMM Exchange. Since "RONIN" is quite popular and already being use for the main chain of Axie Player Infinity, you can also tried with "Polygon/Matic" since this coin is also promising.

A simple strategy yet very good to hold on for the future.

Isn't a Ronin a wallet for Axie infinity players? I guess I need to learn more about this project I never thought they have a token and could potentially be used as an AMM. Thanks for the information ryzaadit. I'm currently into Ethereum as my main alt this hasn't been pumped better compare to what Bitcoin did from 2020 -2021 and I think 2022 is the year for Ethereum.

Edit: By the way, @ryzaadit do you have any links regarding their token even just a litepaper or something that can be of help researching? I can't find any specific info regarding even CMC and Coingecko isn't of help.

If you were 100% sure that an altcoin season was coming then I do not see the reason to take a risk with coins that may not become successful and you miss making any profits just because you were too greedy for your own good, invest in some of the bet coins in the market and you can easily multiply your capital several times over during a short period of time, after all even when there is an altcoin season and we see some coins growing spectacularly the truth is that the chances you are going to invest in one of those coins is still relatively small.

Hi ronin chain token is not out yet in the market. You can earn ronin through https://katana.roninchain.com/ by farming and pool. Hope it helps.

I think I would buy more of P2E coins and a few Layer 1 coins, why P2E coins? Because its the trend and its not wise to invest outside the trend, why Layer 1 coins? Because they always trend no matter what's trending in the market, my choice of L1's would be luna, sol, atom and Near Protocol, all these L1's are gonna do well in an altcoin season.

I am afraid with AVAX coin have raise all time high price and worry when buy that coin will price dump suddenly on not, right now AVAX have make new all time high and have chance back to lower price. Maybe I want to believe with matic or polygon coin only as my altcoin investment because still lower price and have many good news at the future to make matic become most popular and higher price coin.

Most new projects are going to become profitable in a short time as they likely get hypes, I want to have a ride with them, But, I'm actually out of the scope now which project to choose among these new projects since most of them are scams. Maybe I'd follow on your suggestions OP and some of the replies above.

Coz for now, I'm just focusing on the top altcoins but somewhat to see that they are less profiting this time. As I'm looking for short-term investment/trade, those in hypes coins are ideal.

Why wait for the altcoin season you are referring to? Why not just buy today as everything is the dip? There's no altcoin season but rather only a bull and bear trend. We should act now before the trend will now shift again to an uptrend. If that happened, every user will now ask again a question if it's too late to buy now.

This is sometimes what happened, people will just buy when the price is now rising. Don't hesitate and don't wait for too much low a price before making a purchase. We will never know when we can see an opportunity like this again once a bull trend starts to dominate the market.

It seems like investing in blockchain network projects is more potential for the long term, I see like SOL and BNB very well to invest in. And now that I'm starting to monitor AVAX and MATIC to put investment funds in there I'm sure it will be good for the long term.

In my opinion investment should be considered carefully especially for the long term.
For me it's better to follow a convincing signature project because we also don't have to spend capital if the project is successful we are also the ones who profit especially if the price of the token is hypes of course it is expensive.
But to buy coins, it's better if you try matic (Polygon) and Cardano(ADA) instead of AVAX, because apart from the price being expensive, if it drops suddenly, our hearts will drop too.

Currently NFT and P2E tokens are trending a lot. So yeah, they might be good investment, but the risk is high. In the short run, you might make some good profit. But in the long run, if the trend dies, you might end up losing everything.  And yeah, it is better to invest in other promising chains. MATIC, DOT and ATOM are all good projects that you might want to look into. SOL and ADA are also two other coins that might perform very well in the future. Don't forget to put most of your investment in bitcoin and ethereum. Those two are the safest options for you.

Why not invest on both. We don't know what kind of trend will be the hype one on early 2022. Metaverse or those ecosystem that adopt it is likely to do good later on. Take for example those you mentioned. Aside from dot and atom, most are doing their nft and p2e projects so I guess the more stronger contender are avax and polygon. But this is just an opinion. Who knows what's dot near and atom brings to the community.

For right now "RON" only can be earn by staking.

Once the token on exchange, sure we can buy. I hope the token at the time on exchange reach first 1$-2$ then I will buy the token just like "UNI" after listing on Binance, will re-accumulating for people who staking.

This is good for people who want to buy the token early, prepare your money ~XD

Crypto in the top 100 that you can earn passively is a good investment when another alt season comes. Famous play-to-earn NFT such as axie infinity will definitely take off again because of their future updates (Land Gameplay, Battle Version, and future NFT burning mechanism this early 2022) and also because of its profitable 100%+ apr.

Ohhhh, thanks for that piece of information that will surely be of help. I think WannaCry already give the right link for the staking pool and hope I can get in early since it got me really intrigued and interests me. I think that's the way to put it that it may like be UNI but not that in euphoric level. By the way, a huge thanks for the info.

I prefer the coins that already have their own blockchains like some coins that you have mentioned that and also the addition of BNB, Eth and Cardano because in the altcoin season they often experience a very extraordinary pump in the market.

P2E NFTs and Web 3.0 would probably dominate in the next bullrun. However, these list of yours are also great. I expect these to perform well too. ETH will perform well as well as BNB and other blockchains. Now is the time to acquire more and more with these coins and surely it will benefit us.

Hopefully, the altcoin season can come in early 2022 so we can enjoy a big profit from the altcoin while still waiting for bitcoin increases. From the profit of altcoin, we can use it to buy more bitcoin to accumulate and have more bitcoin that will be ready to sell bitcoin at a high price. Those coins or tokens have the potential to increase in the next year so if you want to add more amount, I think you still have a chance right now.

Honestly, DeFi.

I think that the whole NFT boom, especially the ones that are exclusively "art" (i.e., pictures of animals) are a bit overblown and could probably plunge during the bear market.

DeFi on the other hand has great potential to actually challenge a lot of the traditional finance concepts that we are so familiar, and are worth billions of dollars in revenue. It's a no brainer for me.

The same thing am already doing, I have diversified my portfolio into 3 different staking platforms to be earning passive income, I will then use part of this income to invest in other coins I see good enough to hold,
There are different staking options available to take advantage of, it is like holding and earning at the same time.
What are those coins  and platforms that you're staking right now? That's good move you've made and you're earning passively.

In terms of profit, we really have to be wise on which we're going to reinvest it. Whether you reinvest it or use it for what you want, you should be wise spending it.

I would prefer those altcoins which has good potential but failed to pump in this bullrun like XLM, Litecoin and I would prefer exchange tokens like GT, Huobi Token, KCS as they might boom just like Binance as these are the most trusted exchange only second to Binance. I wouldn't be going for meme coins.

Many people are seeing all these new coins as a way to get out, and some of the not so new ones that got a hype recently as well. Like ADA, SOL, MATIC these are not "brand new" coins by now, they are "old" in a sense that what we call new is usually under 3 months or at most 6 months old, and the youngest one of those is 2 years old. This is why either a brand new one, or one that got fame very recently all end up being popular with people.

I believe that I could invest into "old" ones and still make a ton of money during the hyped period. Bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, bnb, tron, stellar, atom and all of that have been around for a while and I am pretty sure that it would make me profit if I invested into them.

Check last year and year chart and some moment bnb was trending on Twitter, they were mostly by influencers and pornograp*** who where heavily shilling their bags because they the influence of CZ in crypto space and after the pump, it crash until later when it had a healthy and smooth growth later.
Kucoin is having a great utility and used case but has also performed magnificently, with new development with the increase in their user base, kcs will see some big moves.

Altcoin season may start in 2022 but it may not cover all the altcoins and tokens and whatever coins may peak in that time, might have already started its rally and only the ATH may happen by 2022. So, altcoin season is not like something a trend change and we can make use of it just before investing with it. So, you need to be carefully watching it to get all the benefits.

I guess eth and bnb might be the right choice to find the maximum benefits by end of the altcoin season and you need to book profits by that time and need to buy back by the mid time of 2023. This way you can grow your portfolio value in USD. I am just holding bitcoin and I am not actively planning anything right now for altcoin season and probably may sell 1 or 2 of my eth if it will be trading above 0.1 BTC (and this is not a financial advice; you need to do your own due diligence for your money).

That's were the importance of research comes into play, it's up to an investor to analyze possible investments, scrutinize them and select the one he feels is best based on the kind of Investor he is, for example if you're a long term investor you'll prolly not want to invest in altcoins cause they are pump and dump coins, long term crypto users always choose Bitcoin and maybe ethereum, they are the 'products' you can trust to be sustainable for the long period, notwithstanding the corrections and plunges that takes place along the way.

Having said that, before you go into altcoin investment, whether it's altcoin season or not, you must be aware that most of them are pump and dump coins, thus you have to be careful when you put your funds in, and always be ready to take your returns when you get them, finally do your own research and select the coin that suits you, when you ask users "the best coin to invest in" they'll always most probably choose the coins they have in their wallets, and that doesn't make it your best option.

That is because they see BNB can rise so far and have big opportunity to rise more than the price now. So they expect BNB can rise in the next year while they still accumulate more BNB by many ways. I see KCS have the opportunity becoming the next BNB but KuCoin as the exchange still need develop more and get more traders and investors that will trade on their site. While KCS price is not increase high, we can buy KCS and I think we can earn some KCS by participating on their programs.

Lol never risk your investment in trial and error when you can clearly invest in safer and sureball investment.

Like

Bitcoin(Of course this is not Altcoin lol)

Ethereum.

Ripple.

Solana.

and of Course Binance.

These coins are the safest and what we need to make it last.

Long term Holding will keep us safe now as the Halving is couple of years away.

Better start by investing in those worthy projects like MATIC, DOT, SOLANA, BNB, GALA, and many more. Don't wait for that altcoin season as buying coins should always be considered whether what kind of trend currently we are now. With the right timing, we can profit from any coins we choose even it's on a bullish or bearish trend. There are no signs that we are now entering the altcoin season as previously on bitcoin dip, no signs for the majority of an altcoin to increase their price. Most are still all dragged by the Bitcoin bullish price movement.

At present, if i considered fundamentally, then Matic would be the best investment. Investors are already aware of this and have come a long way in a very short time. But still the price of Matic is reasonable I think it can show a good performance at any time which will be really admirable.

I am agree with you. Matic is a great project.  The developer team of this coin are very active and they are doing best for this project. I am a investor of this project. So most of the time I tried to keep update about this project. There twitter page is full with a lot of update and this kind of update attract new investor. I suggest OP take a look at there official twitter page: https://twitter.com/0xPolygon Fundamentally this project is best at all.

There are so many promising altcoins out there which are worthy to invest in.
SOL, ETH, MATIC, BNB, FTM, SRM, AVAX, DOT are some of the really nice coins which I have my eye on.
If I had enough money I would buy these coins and keep doing DCA to accumulate more number of coins at a good price.

Some DeFi projects are starting to rise and show good progress. It would be good to have a DeFi coin to hold in a few years. In addition, MATIC can be an interesting choice among others as well. Matic with Polygon has transaction technology that can be said to be an advancement of ethereum. It will be an interesting coin in the next few years.

I'm still thinking about investing in pda matic. This coin has a lot of development, even when the price of other coins goes down, matic can still survive and even go up, meaning that the interest of matic is getting bigger. on the other hand, with its growing products, it makes this coin community stronger and worth investing in when the market is still bearish like this, so that later we don't lose the moment

Let's imagine for a second that the alt season began in early 2022. What to do and in which market segment to invest your funds? NFT P2E or DeFi, or is it better to invest in tokens of promising blockchains like NEAR AVAX MATIC DOT ATOM?
I'll invest more in P2E, I want a passive income.

And then, when I'm profiting from there, I'll invest into other altcoins like ETH and BNB. Just like the normal coins and won't forget to DCA in bitcoin.

A simple strategy yet very good to hold on for the future.

I think in the next year the most popular and most profitable will be projects which relate to play to earn sphere! I see big interest from community!
They've became big already this year.

But who knows what will happen next year and it's possible that they will still dominate by next year and so on. Because of the demand that it has, there's really a chance that they'll become popular.

I do agree that Matic is something marvelous and they are doing the best they can, but remember that the whole existence of Matic depends on the high gas fee of ETH right now. The moment price of ETH gas fee drops under 1 dollars will mean that matic is useless and nobody will use it which is why I doubt that it has a long life.

The improvement towards eth 2.0 is seen as a way to drop the gas fee, if they can actually make it work and the gas fee drops thanks to 2.0 then we will not have Matic or sol or any other thing that is aiming to drop the transaction costs. I am not saying that this will happen, maybe 2.0 will not drop the gas fee, but there is a risk involved and I am not sure if I would like to keep my money long term there. If you want to invest then nobody can stop you, I have some as well, I just like to keep a watch over ETH as well just in case.

If there was to be an altcoin season wave in 2022 then it'll be focused on metaverse related projects which NFT and GameFi (play to earn) projects will profit from but that's unlikely to happen. Although this doesn't mean this trend is dieing down anytime soon  they will still be a point of focus when the next bull market comes around. Remember the ICO trend also found its way at the start of the current bullrun and many projects that did so well all came from the ICO trend.

We saw launchpad and IDO also making wave in this cycle and all this are similar to the ICO trends. In the near future related trends to the metaverse will also come to trend, you just have to watch out for those to be ahead of others and profit.

That is a big mistake, investing when the bull run starts is a wrong move, you need to buy when the bear trend is on. Of course I would only buy bitcoin and not altcoins or the hyped projects that are running in the name of altcoins.

Just because something is hyped does not mean it is a long term value project. Rather it indicates that the project is a short term one and the cheap thrills are the only thing worth getting from it. If you are into joining ratraces which may crash when you sleep, by all means get into them. But bitcoin is evergreen decentralized and censorship-resistant, you can never go wrong with it.

Next year some new hype will start and these will die out, imagine that happening right after you invest >10% of your assets into such tokens. You are going to go rekt and you will realize it too late.

Everything depends on trends, as I think that hype of metaverse will continue, I would rather invest in tokens that are connected with blockchain games and metaverse. Also I see a big potential in alternative blockchains, so I invest in near, dot, bnb, matic. They take up a large part of the market now as they are cheaper and faster than Ethereum.

I suggest you turn most of your coins into stable coins because 2022 might be bloody, the reason why I said this is because of Omicron virus it's not decreasing it's increasing and also crypto bull season have been around for way longer time than the past bull seasons I won't expect much from next year than been very careful

I'll invest more in P2E and DeFi, P2E offers an opportunity to get passive income and some of the platforms also offer staking rewards. DeFi for some people is overhyped but I don't think so, one just have to be careful while choosing a DeFi project to invest.

I would prefer putting my funds in P2E so my investment would continue to earn a passive income but it would be better to look for a P2E game that has a good potential for a long-term goal. Investing with top coins is also my choice so I would have an assurance of a good profit in the future.

Your suggestion may be very true, but I also can't trust you completely because you are only afraid about the Omicron virus that you associate with the cryptocurrency market, even though in my place no one has talked about the Omicron virus.

Right now my main focus is promising blockchain tokens and some good DeFi. I am not really interested in NFT, I have not fully understood what all these NFT tokens are all about, almost everyone is creating NFT and putting it online and you can’t even know what’s going to be worth the investment or not, in fact the way it has worked in general never really interested me.

So, I just focus on the ones that I like and fully understand, which is Blockchain tokens and DeFi. Even in the case of DeFi, I am always very careful and I have selected only very few that I am confident with. In this cryptocurrency market, before you invest in anything you have to be sure about what you are investing, if not, just stay clear from it. I have seen some people complaining about how bad their portfolio has been after they invested in the wrong coins.

It depends, investing in bitcoin and other solid altcoins like ethereum or the binance coin when they are going down or they are in the middle of a bear market is without a doubt a good idea, however it is not a good idea to do so if you are interested in new altcoins, this is why if you are interested in taking such a risk and invest in those new coins then you have no other option but to wait until the bull market comes, as those coins tend to do well at that time, but then once the bull market begins to slow down they tend to crash at an alarming speed.

My choice is Alts with their own blockchain, such as BNB, Matic, ADA and Solana, because the need for crypto players for a strong and fast network will also increase, so I don't think my choice above is not excessive, if I want a 5x increase in the coming year.
Actually there are several choices of meme coins on my list, but I don't dare to talk about it before doing a more in-depth study about it.

People those coins as "solid" altcoins. I've got nothing against with them but they could be right since they're promising and they're proving their worth as they're at the top.

Are they from the early stage of their project? Give us a clue on what they are so that we can do the same research as what you're with them right now.

I will be diversifying my money into all kinds of crypto and i meant like blockchain coin, metaverse coin, nft coin and many more. The key is when you're in bearish market and that should have become the best time to buy more tokens from the market. As far as i understand it doesn't matter what kind of tokens you have bought that as long as you are buying legit coin like in top 100 or 200 CMC and you may be fine about that.

NFT P2E or DeFi, or is it better to invest in tokens of promising blockchains like NEAR AVAX MATIC DOT ATOM?
DEFI coin is not stronger as before caused by the trend is moving forward. It's better to invest your money into the promising blockchain like avax and matic. These coins have potential to enter into the top 10 CMC. look at what matic does last week and it was making 100% increase in a short time. That makes sense to buy more legit tokens from the market.

Not much of altcoin fan myself but if you are really interested to invest in some of them then find a project which is running successfully in the market and have many users supporting it or in other terms we can say that like Metaverse tokens like Sand and Mana are giving good returns to the holders at this time and have chances of rising in future also so you could take risk with them if you want to but don't go for any project blindly and have your prior research before that.

Regarding the publications that I have read in the forum, they continue to name Sand and Mana a lot, and this has a lot to do with metaverses, and I think it is not bad, because in my particular case I have seen that Matic and Solana give a lot more to talk about, in fact in many beta tests there are many networks like Mumbai where they use Matic for their tests and they are really betting on this type of currencies no matter what, I think it is due to the need for the non-congestion of the networks, the network ERC-20 from ETH is the most expensive, to get BNB to metamask from binance it is at least 100usd, now I think that the other networks are the best alternative to face the possible projects that are on the way.

I was speaking about the hyped coins and they are a mistake to invest in either in a bear or bull market. They will be going up during bagholder-induced pumps and then drop down back when the hype ends.

Bitcoin will not face this problem since there are buyers at almost every level ready to pounce on any coins that the weak hands drop. Ethereum might see more movements if their next phase of starts and Binance coin has been in a bull run since its launch.

Actually there are several choices of meme coins on my list, but I don't dare to talk about it before doing a more in-depth study about it.
Better not to waste time on those shitcoins mate. You should spend that time on researching about fiat markets to invest in. Crypto should be limited to only those assets that have stood the test of time.

Always DYOR before investing so that if something bad happens then we don't blame anyone, there are too many choices and this often makes us confused but I only recommend investing in top rankings so it is safer even when a dump occurs like today.
