Title: Tokpie exchange - unethical and blackmailing way of doing business Post by: examplens on December 17, 2021, 02:47:12 PM I think I understood well, their main business is a cryptocurrency exchange. https://tokpie.com (I hope this is the right place for this discussion)
Following topic TOKPIE Exchange - scam (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376009.0) in scam accusations, they have shown an extremely strange and unethical way of doing business. (This is not about that accusation, nor the dilemma of whether they are a scammer or not). User CryptorClub (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1929635) paid them for their services listing on CoinGecko, Coinmarketcap and Etherscan. with their basic service, listing on their platforms including bot trading to keep fake daily trading volume. Sounds legit. however, they failed to deliver on their promises (Listing on CMC, CG and Etherscan), so the user CryptorClub decide to open a scam accusation topic on this forum. to which they respond by pure blackmail. threatening that they too will launch a negative campaign against his project if the accusation is not dropped. How blackmailing going in this case: and that they did. they opened the charges without any clear evidence of the scam. Green Exchange is selling fake tokens https://polygonscan.com/token/0x68caf7335aa11188d9d91e1c9a5ab73a6de827be?a=0x6d12915e425caa0d99e611a7b4c7425bc79931c8 Previously they were selling these GREEN tokens: https://etherscan.io/token/0x5e68801a5dda8671051006eb2920ffe9cd553544. Don't trust them and their fake exchange. Also added some warnings on his blog webpage dedicated to this token. although the complete previous advertising text remained. therefore, this was added only because of intimidation and forcing him to withdraw the accusatory topic. (later deleted because the topic of the accusation is expected to be deleted) link: https://tokpie.io/blog/trade-green-exchange-token/ https://i.ibb.co/mSTz16C/image.png (https://ibb.co/3kdhGBy) therefore, you must not say anything negative about them, because otherwise, they will cancel the service you paid them for regularly!? *user BTCITA187 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=357369) represent them here on the forum. From our side, the work was done and we continue to support your ERC20 token. Moreover, we give you as much time as you need to improve your project web quality to satisfy CG requirements. But, If you will not close these proceedings in the next 10 days we keep the right to delist you forever because of your bestial attitude to all work that we provided to you. the same project was not suspicious or a potential scam when they Tokpie suggest adding fake team members due to easier acceptance of CoinGecko. https://i.ibb.co/3yKqd5L/image.png (https://ibb.co/pvq8w69) original image (https://i.ibb.co/2Pq1hKY/Screenshot-2021-12-13-at-22-42-54-GREEN-price-market-cap-on-Etherscan-CMC-Coin-Gecko-Trading-View-an.png) Apparently, they made a mistake by taking money from a trash project, but it’s amazing what they’re all able to do to keep the same money. "most of the projects place fake members (2-3 core team members) and it works" ?? How many fake projects he supports and help them to enter the market? "most of the projects place fake members (2-3 core team members) and it works" ?? How many fake projects he supports and help them to enter the market? This makes me think if coingecko is even verifying the team's authenticity and/or what methods are they using cause it has to be more than running a reverse image search since there are easy workarounds to get off the radar. In any case, best if we tip this to coingecko (including the archived versions of related threads). It could trigger an investigation from them and/or urge them to tighten up. Title: Re: Tokpie exchange - unethical and blackmailing way of doing business Post by: The Cryptovator on December 18, 2021, 01:15:39 PM I am just worried about how exchanges are doing that shady business. This isn't the first time happens between project and exchange. But most of the time they aren't exposing that publicly. How funny an exchange even giving the idea using a fake team. This kind of exchange doesn't care about their users anyway, they just need to grab money from the project. I don't know how these exchanges manage traders to enter their platform.
Besides of shady activities of this exchange, I am wondering how stupid the project team is. Even they can't list their token in some listing sites themselves then how will they manage the project? Isn't that prove they intend to list on a few shady exchanges and skip? I think so. they respond by pure blackmail. threatening that they too will launch a negative campaign against his project if the accusation is not dropped. I wouldn't be surprised if that so-called exchange platform, is being controlled by a bunch of teenagers!original image (https://i.ibb.co/2Pq1hKY/Screenshot-2021-12-13-at-22-42-54-GREEN-price-market-cap-on-Etherscan-CMC-Coin-Gecko-Trading-View-an.png) SMH ???Apparently, they made a mistake by taking money from a trash project, I think they clearly knew what they were getting themselves into but decided to accept it anyway [another red flag].This makes me think if coingecko is even verifying the team's authenticity and/or what methods are they using cause it has to be more than running a reverse image search since there are easy workarounds to get off the radar. Based on the above screenshot, I don't think they're even doing a "simple reverse image search"!- Unfortunately, we had a few other platforms before who had similar behaviors as well. Title: Re: Tokpie exchange - unethical and blackmailing way of doing business Post by: logfiles on December 18, 2021, 09:45:06 PM Looks like a scam service helping to promote other shams. I will definitely leave them negative feedback. Such services should never be trusted here.
If they had the guts to try to blackmail someone who had already paid them some funds. Imagine how many other projects they must have blackmailed and have gone silent. In this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376009.msg58669335#msg58669335), I see another account that I think is also part of them - tursunalimenman (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1887294) Title: Re: Tokpie exchange - unethical and blackmailing way of doing business Post by: holydarkness on December 20, 2021, 02:08:19 PM Hmm... I actually wanted to give BTCITA187 a chance to explain themselves before tagging the account with an accusation of encouraging fake team profile and raised a thread about it, but as one week passed and they weren't even online --somehow I think they ditched the account, now that it's tagged with multi negative trust-- I think it's fair to void the benefit of doubts. And now that a thread about it is already raised... it saves me some time, LOL. I think I'll put a warning on their official thread, to discourage people from using their service as well as to notify me in case they created a new account to continue the project
User CryptorClub (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1929635) paid them for their services listing on CoinGecko, I don't get why certain people, pay for something that's free while also not doing a little research about the platforms they're planning to get listed on:I think the main reason why people paid the service is to get the volume assistant as well as get through --presumably in a dirty way-- the other requirements that coingecko didn't disclose Once you have verified that the exchange is tracked on CoinGecko, do fill up our Request Form. Listings will have to fulfill an internal set of criteria before it is listed on CoinGecko. These criteria will not be disclosed. which, from what I can conclude from the wild, wild, wild quote-pyramid on the earlier scam accusation, includes: a thin spread, certain amount of highest bid and lowest ask, and a high daily trading volume... as well as team details. I can see that a high daily trading volume would be a difficult criteria for a low quality project due to the scarce numbers of people interested to buy and sell them, which is why they'll need a good volume assistance (A.K.A.: trading bot). The first reason, why we wait, that this volume assistance can be positive in long term for possibility to be listed on CoinGecko. Shame on me The second reason - is tried to trust to Tokpie, that with volume, that can do something. Shame on me Edit: oh, here, I found the email describing the requirement (https://i.ibb.co/p4dJ2TC/Screenshot-2021-12-14-at-04-44-18-GREEN-price-market-cap-on-Etherscan-CMC-Coin-Gecko-Trading-View-an.png) Title: Re: Tokpie exchange - unethical and blackmailing way of doing business Post by: Beparanf on December 20, 2021, 02:18:19 PM What this shit Tokpie Exchange is doing. IIRC they are a small time exchange for bounty stakes here in the forum. Not enough money from small time project payment for fake service?
Only few use Tokpie or atleast all those bounty hunters themselves is the one using it so why spend money for fake volume and listing there while there's already DEX that has decent volume with free listing fee. The Screenshot just show how unethical they was and worthy to send a negative feedback for shady behaviour. There retaliation to a customer is so funny. |
