Title: Anyone with a Strike account can get their salary converted into Bitcoin Post by: nullama on December 21, 2021, 12:56:07 AM Lately I've been reading headlines from celebrities saying that they're going to get paid in Bitcoin.
If you have a Strike account you can do that as well, with no extra fees. Here's Strike's Pay Me In Bitcoin announcement (https://jimmymow.medium.com/announcing-pay-me-in-bitcoin-455f4fa0a0e4) It's pretty simple really. In your Strike account you'll see a direct deposit section in your settings. Once you go there you'll see standard banking details that you can share with your employer. Once you have that setup, in the Pay Me In Bitcoin section you can just specify how much percentage of your deposits to be converted into Bitcoin automatically. That's it. https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/0*HaLFwjaTEhROQa1d That way you will be able to automatically convert a portion of your salary into Bitcoin, without having to do anything about it, and not paying any extra fees. This is a great way of Auto-DCA. Does anyone actually knows what's going on here? Jack Mallers have also confirmed in some interviews/podcasts that there are no fees. One time he just made a joke about how they make money by shorting $LINK lol. Probably based on data collection? Or just probably that they're sacrificing revenue for growth for now. Well, that's the problem... It's limited to those in the US [with the exception of a couple of states] and El Salvador [unfortunately]!Does anyone actually knows what's going on here? When "Coinbase (https://blog.coinbase.com/now-get-your-paycheck-deposited-into-coinbase-116fe1d073ce)" introduced a similar thing back in September, they did mention partnering with certain companies and I assume it's the same thing with Strike [I don't think they're sacrificing anything "from their end"].~Snipped~ Or just probably that they're sacrificing revenue for growth for now. The company have stated the focus is upon enriching the savings of people which in recent years have got shrunken. Through this people will be able to save against the highly inflated traditional fiat. This works something as bitpay. The difference there is no fee, if we check both the services we'll understand what really happens when a transaction is being done through it. However a big step to support people save/hold in terms of bitcoin.
