Title: A newbie has honest reasons for being involved with crypto
Post by: SensitiveEyes on December 21, 2021, 01:32:50 PM
It's my first post and it isn't wrong to be honest. I'm trying to get involved in crypto to make money and this website's a great place to start. People here do the same thing making money or try to make it every day. I don't have a crypto background so I'll post about things I'm good at or know about. I'd like to build up my rep because signature campaigns pay well but it isn't easy starting from nothing.

If it isn't for personal reasons what made you join? If it isn't about money it's got to be social chats, crypto trading or crypto development. Some of you joined years ago and you're still here so what's keeping you here? Sorry I'm not being nosey I'm trying to make conversation and understand what's the best way to make money from crypto.

If you are getting acquainted with this forum, you will be able to know that some people join to manage campaigns. Some join to participate in campaigns. Some because they just see this forum interesting and do not join because of any money making reason. Some people are on this forum as bounty hunters. But, above all, this forum is about sharing constructive posts that can also help others in their day-to-day lives, while also asking questions about what you do not understand are highly appropriate.

First knowledge; everything else comes next. You're lucky. You've come to the best place to learn about bitcoin!  :)

The best way to make money on crypto right now is to invest your own money and buy potential token. Crypto already passed the initial stage so there's no way you can earn huge money here by just posting. Your best chance is to find a bounty campaign that will soon will skyrocket the price of the token. The salary of signature campaign here is less than the salary of a normal job considering you are not from 3rd world country. If you are planning to go full time here and chase for income then don't do that.

I initially used this forum to get more knowledge on Bitcoin and trade altcoins via P2P since only few trusted exchange at my time. But now I'm just casually visiting here to get some news and discuss to other people that knew crypto since most of my friends, family and coworkers didn't want to be involved in crypto so this is my place for my crypto thoughts.

I don't have a crypto background so I'll post about things I'm good at or know about. I'd like to build up my rep because signature campaigns pay well but it isn't easy starting from nothing.
The forum was not created for members with a crypto background, but those who are trying to build one. If you're really interested in learning, you'll find lots of useful content scattered around the forum and their are lots of members willing to help with any I quiet you may have. Of course, you'll have to get aquatinted with the forum and cryptocurrency Bitcoin, before you can earn or try to.

Everyone has different motives for joining the forum and as long as you are not a negative to the forum, by spamming, scamming or engaging in some other unethical practice, then you're free to do what you want, that's what the forum is about; freedom.

Judging from your thought, it seems you're not a real newbie since you know about signature campaign and it's still exist until now.

Let's say your hobby is writing, you have a website or blog with a bunch post you created. You're also need money to buy daily food to survive, but your website and blog doesn't have good traffic to earn money. In this forum you can express your hobby (writing) and if you lucky you'll get paid, which is better isn't?

I joined a few years ago from interest in cryptocurrency and just kinda stayed here and tried to advance with it a bit - I've used it as a form of guided research before now too in certain aspects of crypto.

If you're here for noble reasons and will actually interact positively with discussions/or try to advance yourself in them then you should do quite well here (also don't try to force stuff - everyone here is relaxed or a troll).

Just a tip: if you're here solely for the money without any prior knowledge at all, you're going to have a hard time. Just like a person showing up to a job that he/she doesn't know much about. You're honestly better off doing something that you're actually interested in.

Pretty simple: money + genuine interest in cryptocurrencies.

I also joined the forum a few years ago and I hate to admit that I joined because of a decent financial gain. However, becoming involved in cryptospace for years helped me to stay in the community while constantly developing my interest and knowledge over time.

The forum also serves as my primary source of information to get different opinions regarding some issues/events that are happening in the crypto space -- some of which are gossips. :D

I'm trying to get involved in crypto to make money and this website's a great place to start.
In fact, the forum is not an ATM so if you want to get any income here, you must work.

First it is a Bitcoin forum so discussions about Bitcoin is first priority. Altcoins are other discussion type. They have common things such as security and privacy. If you are not in crypto for long enough to get knowledge about it, you can start with security and privacy on the Internet. Tips to get such things are very welcome.

I'd like to build up my rep because signature campaigns pay well but it isn't easy starting from nothing.
Build up reputation and join campaigns are different. To join good campaigns you must have good quality from your posts. Because people will pay more time to read quality posts and they will skip shit posts.

Reputation is different and it is more relevant for business or service if you want to run such.

Op,
First you need to know what a forum is. Use the forum as a university. You can learn about crypto for free here. The more you pay attention to reading, the more you can learn.

The forum is not designed to be used for earning money. But it has been introduced for some poor countries. You can earn money from bounty campaigns if you want. You can also signature campaign  again. You must be a minimum junior member. It takes a merit to be a junior member. Then you can signature campaign.

The best way to profit from crypto is to buy bitcoin and hold it long term without too much drama. I'm sure you know how to do it because usually a knowledgeable newbie or not can be identified from his first post on the forum.

I will not blame you and your goal to register in this forum because basically this forum is free for anyone. You can come and go at any time for any reason, but it can be difficult to develop yourself when you are interested enough in making money as your background to sign up. Maybe over time you can learn how it works, but it is much more interesting if you are willing to learn something useful as an initial impetus to gain knowledge. But first, welcome to the bitcoin discussion forum.

Seems like OP admits that s/he is here for SCs.

@OP, this is a forum not an earning platform and for earning money, this isn't the great place to start. You'll have better opportunities doing freelancing in the long-term unlike SCs. If you want to be paid in crypto as a means of "earning money", you can check LaborX. You have a long way to go if you're just going to pursue SCs in here.

Since you are also asking about what makes us stay here, for me it is all about that conversation I get in some threads that I wouldn't get from some other sites like Reddit where I feel biased in the Karma system there. ::)
Sure I am wearing a signature, but that's just an "icing on the cake" like they said.

If it isn't about money it's got to be social chats, crypto trading or crypto development.

Well, none of the above for me actually. I mean, you can say I got into the development of crypto in a general and not based on programming, more in a cultural sense, a social project, and an idea that is interesting to see where it goes. And that's what kept me here for the most part. But nothing wrong for going straight for wanting to make money. That's also legit.

A newbie like you shouldn't think this way in the first place, it should knowledge is our first priority before thinking of making money.  There's too much fraud that happened everywhere because of the people that have the same mindset as you, they didn't know how crypto will work and put investing without thinking about the possible risk.  Besides, a forum isn't the sole purpose of making money, we're just here sharing ideas and knowledge less priority is about the money.

If it isn't for personal reasons what made you join? If it isn't about money it's got to be social chats, crypto trading or crypto development. To have a new update related to cryptocurrencies projects and also Bitcoin's improvements, if you're one of those who have Bitcoin interest, you might be here to monitor and gather information about the development.  Or just simply, because it's your habit to be here.
Making money in crypto is easy if you've been fulfilled with knowledge.

It is unfortunate every time a newbie enters the crypto community to make money. Be that as it may, since that is now a strong trend, that is actually risky. Since money is the goal, you might easily get blinded or fall victim to various kinds of scams enticing people with very nice ROI and other too-good-to-be-true offers.

Having said this, the number one goal of every newbie is to understand Bitcoin or crypto first. Moneymaking will follow.

Well this is a bitcoin forum and posting about other stuff makes it off-topic.
You also need to educate yourself about cryptocurrencies and the technology in general if you want to use them. For example at the very least you need to know what wallets are and what the safest way to use them is.

Quote
what's the best way to make money from crypto.
It is called cryptocurrency meaning it is supposed to be a currency. So far bitcoin is the only one worthy of the name. So you can earn this currency like you earn any other currencies (namely fiat). By doing jobs or converting one currency to another (eg. USD to BTC).

I have some trading profits that's are bigger than what I earned here as a signature participants. But I think the knowledge and idea I grasp here are also part of earnings in a different way and not financially cause I also check some news here from time to time that I also used as indicator on such trading aside from basic technical analysis. Also staying here sometime gained you friends that you ought to know.

See we can make money on forum through different sources like Bounty campaigns and signature campaign mainly and apart from them there is collectibles and services section to sell goods and services but if we solely approach forum for that purpose then we are at wrong place as on primary basis we all are here to have bitcoin and crypto discussion and have knowledge about the technical and non technical stuff about them which is essential for all of us to progress in this market. But if we completely have earning purpose then you can go join bounty campaigns which does not have anything to do with forum interaction on good basis.

From my point of view, there could be no other reasons other than personal that would get you to join a forum. Generally, people consider forums a place where they can discuss or learn more about the topics they think they are interested in. For example, if you like cars, you join the forum about cars to talk about cars. There might be an option on the car forum to make money off your car, but that is not the main reason the forum exists. Likewise, you can make money off this forum because there is an option, namely signature campaigns and bounties, but it doesn't mean you will make money. Why? Because if you are not interested in discussions in general, which I assume is true since you never answered to people who replied to your post, you won't be able to create quality posts required for successful participation in signature, you won't get enough knowledge about cryptocurrency because you won't be able to talk and ask right questions, you likely won't succeed if you use the forum not for what it was created.

The only thing I would add here is what I usually recommend to these newbies. Don't just be interested in the money. Get to know the forum, learn about bitcoin, and don't be in a hurry to make money. If he makes good use of the forum and posts regularly, he will be able to make money in the future. We have too many cases of newbies in a hurry to make money who end up buying accounts, or plagiarizing.

I found Bitcoin talk reliable enough to get updated about the happenings surrounding crypto currency and also a good avenue to add to my portfolio while I learn I should still earn so I can have enough to get better understanding about how the crypto system works get personal experience about the risk involved and a better understanding on why most projects fail.

Not only in this forum you can make money, outside you can also, the only thing you have to have is knowledge and skill, it will make you able to make a lot of money.

In the forum as well, the members here are full of challenges, they are always learning about crypto, Bitcoin and everything related to the forum, what they got was purely their hard work over the years here, which is why they are still here with the effort they put in.

For that you can also be like them, as long as you have the will and work hard in crypto science and all things related to digital currencies.

Some of us have the ambition to come and make money here in the forum through Bounty and signature campaigns, likewise some of us are here because of the love for crypto trading so as to gain more information about cryptocurrency in order to avoid unnecessary losses during trading, while some of us join the forum to share information and learn from others in different aspect.

In my experience, the best way to make money in "crypto" is to buy bitcoin (and only Bitcoin) and HODL for at least 5 years.

That's it. It's literally that simple.

Don't get distracted by people making claims that they've made 6 figures in less than 6 months and bought a lambo, etc. The real money is in long term thinking.

Best of luck to you. Let me know if you'd like any help with getting started with Bitcoin and only Bitcoin.

Well, in my case, it is a mix of a few different reasons. When I started with crypto and writing in this forum, I did it mainly to socialise and understand more about BTC and other cryptos. Then I knew about ICOs, participated in a few bounties, I was rewarded a few thousand dollars :o in one of the bounty programs, and continued participating in the forum for the people, the knowledge and the money (like the apple in the Iliad: love, wisdom and power :D).

I was about to rank up and suddenly appeared the merit system + bear market, which got me demotivated so I quitted for many months. After the global dump due to the start of the pandemic, when the bear market finished, I came back, until now.

To be honest, I suppose that if it wasn't for the signature campaigns I would participate less (because I am a bit lazy) but the weekly quota supposes an obligation. Nevertheless, if I didn't like the people I know here, and the topic, I wouldn't be here, no matter the money.

It is undeniable that most newbies have the main goal of earning money when they intend to enter the crypto world or to this forum.
Personally, to be honest, I used to go to this forum to get additional income from various programs, especially airdrops and bounties.
Therefore at that time I only focused on posting as much as I could, without willing to learn more about what was actually more important and prioritized.
This is normal and natural, the money is very sweet, very tempting. And when people know that crypto or this forum can make money, then what is on their mind is how to quickly make money from here.

And in fact, this thinking is not entirely true. indeed we can earn money from crypto and also from this forum. However, there is something more important and main based on my personal experience, namely knowledge. Knowledge about crypto, about this forum, and various other knowledge that must be developed over time. Because without knowledge, our hope to get money is only hope or we can get money but we can't maximize it.
Let's try to change the mindset again, that try to do something first, something important, useful, and consistent so that we can reap the expected results. Don't just get hung up on the money at first.

Welcome on board buddy. Building your rep towards the signature campaign comes with a lot of work and knowledge. You can't get there overnight if you are not well educated about crypto. Whatever you find interest in, is in this forum. Just feel free to ask and get acquainted with the forum. This forum is made up of different boards where you can get the knowledge you desire.
Avoiding plagiarism and spamming totally will do you good in the forum to avoid being banned

If the advices in this whole thread were enough, I would advise you to lock this thread to prevent further spams.

I gave you a merit for at least coming back in this thread, reading and replying to other's reply to you. Good luck with your journey, OP!

You claimed you are a newbie so how do you know about signature campaign that pays members on here? A friend or ? Make sure you spend time on the forum's rules and regulations because they are easier to break which can earn you a bad rating, you are welcome and I wish you the best of good luck.

If it isn't for personal reasons what made you join? If it isn't about money it's got to be social chats,

As in my own case, all you've made mention were applicable, personal intent, cryptocurrency knowledge, tech-savey, investment, sustainability, suitable replicate for social media chats, it informative, educative and interactive. it also places one on a good platform in handling a credible professional business development, strategies and the study of the economical trends.

You're not wrong about your question though and I understand that you are asking outta being inquisitive on the other hand but I want you to understand that every single member in these forum  has a different perspective of thinking, thus a different goals to achieve and since we're all different in faces, we're also different in the values that we add to the forum on the other hand.
The forum paying anyone doesn't really mean that's the main purpose of joining after all it wasn't playing anyone since 2009 up till when campaigns were lunched. It's just an added advantage not to make the process boring ( that's how I see it).
