You probably need to move your thread into a proper board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0) to get more related information regarding your question about minimg alts.

Mining is not easy and you have to config your rig, have to know technical things to do maintenance for your rig and you have to be able to fix minor technical issues.

If you can not do so, you will have to carry your rig back and forth between your home, your mining location to customer service or maintenance location. It will take a lot of time and waste your time for mining.

You will have less flexible entry and exit with mining. In bull market, you can easily to sell your rig but in bear market, it's hard and price must be discounted a lot.

You will have better and  more flexible entry and exit with investment or trading.

For someone who have the money I think it's wise to build a mining rig, mining rig have some advantages just like investing money on other coins and tokens, bear market is a good time to buy coins at cheap rate but for mining is a good time to accumulate coins for long term or just for survival till things get better

If you are a beginner, start by purchasing one or more RTX 3060 or RTX 3060Ti video cards.
It will be relevant in mining for a long time, these video cards have very low power consumption and suits your budget.
Now I do not advise anyone to invest in mining, but if you want to learn, then it is better to start with these video cards.
