I came onboard cryptocurrncy through a friend who introduced me to this forum as where to start from and since then the journey began and am finding this it exciting.

Absolutely, this forum is a great repository of cryptocurrency knowledge, thus it's a great citadel to start learning about cryptocurrency and of course, other whatnots. I'm elated you're finding it interesting here, mind you that you're free to ask questions in areas you find hazy, users would be more than available/ready to help make clear what it is you do not quite understand. Now you're somewhat of a newcomer, the best thing to do would be to focus solely on garnering crypto knowledge, other "things" can come later, welcome mate and merry Christmas to you and everyone in here.

Cryptocurrencies spaces have a lot of things that need to be grasped on, if there is one thing that would I recommend you to look around this space, it is the collection of useful threads of Beginners & Help Encyclopedia (http://Beginners & Help Encyclopedia). The topic is filled with a compilation of threads across many subjects in cryptocurrencies made by generous members of Bitcointalk. Kindly look around over that thread, and just start small in case you get overwhelmed about any specific topics.

You are welcome to the forum I believe you will definitely learn alot here and I believe you can also share your ideas or knowledge so that other people can also learn from you, don't think you are new here and you will be scared to share your own knowledge too.

Maybe most members here also have the same experiences, introduced more deeply with cryptocurrency in this forum.
I remembered the first I know and learn about cryptocurrency was when I was still as a content writer, asked by one of my client to write articles about cryptocurrencies and this niche was very new for me. Not many course can be got at that time moreover in my local language. Moreover at that time, cryptocurrency is very debatable, negative news and issues that could make me very curious about what exactly cryptocurrency.
And finally I found this forum and the client also told me about this.
Started from that time, I tried to learn more about cryptocurrency, moreover through this forum.
but as a newbies, I really knew nothing, I felt so worried to write posts here because I was afraid to make some mistakes. Although have been being a content writer for a longtime ago, but because that was my first experience in this new world, this seems that I was really a super duper newbie.
One to remember mate, everyone here starts from newbies, but there are some differences in each other
There are some newbies that can grow up and learn much from this forum, and they become very great members here, helping each others.
But there are also newbies that always become newbies because their main focus here is to earn money at first.
At that time, I also became a shitposter, only focused on money, and that was a bad experience.
That is why I suggest you to learn more about this forum, I am sure that everyone has similar chance to grow up and develop in this forum.

OP it's a good thing that you adhered to the advice of your friend. The process of getting to the top ranks is sharing information that you have learnt about cryptocurrency or bitcoin alone. Endeavor to send your message across in a simpler form such that people will vividly understand your write up. The comments section is another great tool for everyone that needs to learn something new. Participate in other peoples post and whenever you are online in the forum read as many comments as possible because, the core knowledge about every topic in this forum is digested on the comment section.

This forum is not just the best place to start the crypto journey, but also a perfect place to stay during the whole process because crypto is an everchanging landscape and people need to be up to date. Yes you arw right and your friend did a good job introducing you here. Most newbie here are probably joining just to join bounty and airdrops which shouldnt be the focus of the stay here. Learning with such engagement on discussion would likely be a key to your success on plausible earning in the future. But only served as perks and not as a goal. The better goal here is to socialize and discuss here different topics pertaining to bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

This community is a community of bitcoin is highly competitive in research and developer of new things that will elevate the community, merely is meant for all cryptocurrencies analysis through cogent or reasonable discussion which i emphasised on initially, many people have come and go because they were unable to carry the functions or the task, but as a newbie i will advice you to make proper research and follow the steps of other higher members.

Bitcointalk is a forum of crypto enthusiast and a few antibitcoin too. The biggest community there is that, is more concerned about teaching and straightening issues that relates to crypto and the crypto space.

The atmosphere of this forum is not much different from the real world where you can interact with other people even though they are not people you know. I think that the knowledge about cryptocurrency is what is needed first before merit begins. He is lucky to get some encouragement in merit already but adequate knowledge and skill will help grow for him

Indeed the Bitcointalk forum is the best place right now to learn about crypto especially Bitcoin, it took a long journey to learn crypto especially about trading, investing, market, analysis, mining etc, compared to other forums out there, bitcointalk is an easy way for newbies to know how crypto works, i experienced it all from start till now.

For that, you need to learn a lot from the seniors here about crypto, so that your journey is fun and not misguided, the questions you should ask and the information you really need before going on a trip to start trading crypto, I hope you will have more success here in the future.

Do you mean here -this board- is the best place to start your forum journey or here is the best place to start your crypto-currency journey, well if it was the former yes this board as the name reads is a good place for -Newbies- to start off but they should also check through other boards like Meta, if it was the later then this forum may not be your first point of encounter when starting your crypto-currency journey but this is place that changes everything and improves your knowledge.

Yes, it's an exciting place to start from. I think anyone who is genuinely interested in Bitcoin will most likely find this forum first if they googled Bitcoin before Trump got off any of his speeches calling CNN fake news. It was a similar situation with me in 2017, though no one introduced me to this forum. I stumbled on it by stroke of luck. I guess I got to it through coinmarketcap and on Bitcoin's social or something. Well, it has been a great story and learning process since then. All you need do OP is to throw in your heart to it and you will surely be glad you did.

I think it depends on your interest. Firstly if you have an interest in learning about cryptocurrencies better then forums are where you interact and consult with those who are more experienced. I think unlike those who try to join just for the purpose of making money, they will fail from the start and just spend a lot of time without being able to get sufficient knowledge.

If you are interested in learning, then try to be more active whenever you have time. Ask some questions if you need to get a proper understanding. So since it's 2022, start now. Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy it.

Yes your are really right, you may not earn merit now but later run you will earn thousands of merit according to the level of your research, one thing we don't know, is that, we have to know that any solution to problem rely on our hands, to get uplifted or elevated in the forum of bitcointalk undergoes consciousness of the person to work towards the development of the community by bringing a new innovations, remember that everyone started from the beginning's and to an extent they became a member and other numerous position to be mention.

Ahh yes, this is definitely the place to be if you plan on starting to learn about cryptocurrencies.

I also remembered my journey way back in 2017 when my close friend introduced me to this forum. I thought that this was just another 'scheme' but when I read and browsed through the topics, it definitely gave me an idea on the potential of cryptocurrencies in our transactions. Fortunately, I was also privileged enough to participate into campaign signatures which is currently my main method of earning BTCs and HODLing them at the same time.

Not only do I earn BTCs for long-term gain, but I also learn throughout my stay about the latest news and developments in this field.

Starting here is not bad as far as bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is concerned it is a place to get knowledge for free if you really know the reason why you are here. Apart from bitcoin their are other things which you can also learn from the forum which can also help you in the real life outside the forum. Just fee free to learn all you think you can here in the forum.

We kinda have the same starting point, although for me I was introduced to Bitcoin purely and not just this forum. I wasn't interested first in registering in this forum, as I think I would just throw my money into Bitcoin and call it a day. Turns out I need to find a starting point for me to know what trusted apps are there to buy my first Bitcoin. The local board in here is like haven for me as I am sure that I wouldn't be able to buy Bitcoins the same as people in other countries and I am way more limited means of buying one.

Crypto is really interesting especially when you're in the right place learning. Crypto is very wide and no matter the section you are interested in you will learn alot in this forum. You are in the right place, just don't break the rules of the forum and you'll achieve a lot here.

It also depends on your ability...very many times, different people have registered into the forum with an intention to make out time to grow a reputable account in the forum but sometimes, it turns out the negative...
On the long, you'll get tired to be sincere and it will sometimes look like you aren't even putting in anything.. then you unluckily fall into the hands of discouraging legendary members, you'll regret why you even started at first but you know what? If you can muster up courage and say to yourself "if others made it out in these forum, then  I will" you'll not even realise when you get to a senior member :D

Op drop this his introduction post December of 2021 I think it's high time this post get lucked now I see no reason commenting on it except the op has updated the post, many newbies and other members fail to check out the date of a post, many atimes old thread that has dead would still be bumped by one newbie or two, by now the op has learnt some important things about the forum so if that is done this thread should be locked.

Btw, when you first came to this cryptocurrency industry, what's your intention?
Are you willing to be rich? or earn money? Because if you feel that your main aim is to earn money, it may be not true enough. You can change your mind at first by learning ore and more. In this forum, you can find some important information about what to do and what not to do.

That's true, in this forum there are many members with different knowledge and experience, so there are many different thoughts here. but even so this forum is indeed a good one to learn more about the crypto world. here is a place to exchange ideas and experiences and with that we can take lessons from it. if we already know the basic knowledge about the crypto world well then we can start it whether it's investing, trading or following bounties to get money. so to do that we do have to study it well.

On the contrary I would prefer thread such as this to remain open so others can learn from it instead of opening similar threads in the future. At first this thread were fun because it might there are incoming new members on the forum but since it became a strategy for the old members already in the forum to create alts and get merited it began to sucks. Or when existing members advise newly introduced users to create similar threads to fish for merits, it began to suck.

This particular thread might not be the best to leave open but if there's any other with more details information for newbies the learn from and open for contributions or a new thread be created were newbies can introduce themselves and get whatever assistant they desire, it would he helpful to reducing this kind of spam that's becoming a norm.
