Post by: CoinsData on December 25, 2021, 07:41:38 PM
Hi everyone. I am the co-owner of CoinsData.io (https://coinsdata.io/) project.
Now we have an Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercrypto.cryptocyrrency) application with more than 500K installs.
ios application in development.

We start building a strong community.

The main features of that we have for now is:
  • Cryptocurrency tracker that can show prices in two currencies like USDT and BTC at the same time.
  • Customizable list (you can select what to show: sparkline, global data, heatmap etc.)
  • Multi Portfolio tracker without registration and login.
  • Custom price alerts without registration and login.
  • And free super nice Widget: list of cryptos with minicharts.

Is CoinsData.io offering something more or special compared to all other portfolio tracking applications like Delta, FTX (ex Blockfolio), CoinStats, Coingecko, etc.?

I don't own bunch of altcoins and I am not checking Bitcoin price all the time, but I would consider testing new apps only if they are open source.

As an alternative to the existing portfolio tracking apps, which are usually very limited in their free versions, it would be nice to have one that is completely free. I hope you can fill that gap. Anyway, I wish you luck with the product and I hope it will be widely used and supported by the customers.

Mostly of the same features, but free and without registration.

Last time I checked Delta app was also free and I didn't have to submit anything for normal use, but that was long time ago and maybe something changed meanwhile.
Like I said, consider making your app open source, or at least add web or desktop application, something Delta app previously had but they stop supporting it.

As you say, maybe something has changed meanwhile, but the last time I used the Delta app there were limitations in the free version. I am not entirely sure, but I think I could not create more than 2 wallet connections in my portfolio tracker.

A few notes:

  • As soon as I opened one of the links from its news section, it crashed and it kept crashing for roughly 30-seconds.
    - Having said that, I didn't experience those crashes, after I re-entered that section!
  • Without a VPN connection, the loading time was around 10 to 15 seconds [it probably has something to do with where I am and the location of the servers].
  • Creating a widget for the first time, leads to an error [no data was shown]... In order for it to work, I had to click on its settings and save it once more.

Apart from those, everything else worked flawlessly [this "shouldn't" be counted as a vouch]!

If somebody is already using our app - please write your requests.
It'd be nice if there was a way for your users, to export their portfolios in CSV format.

Could you please clarify which VPN server/country you use?
Thanks for suggesting an export portfolio - this task in development for now.

I was checking Google Play page (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercrypto.cryptocyrrency (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.supercrypto.cryptocyrrency)) and found out there's "In-app Products" with price range "$1.99 - $11.99 per item". What is the purpose of the "In-app Products"? Unlock specific feature? Donation?

$1.99-$3.99 for removing ads. Other purchases were for some extra features, now deactivated(all free).

I had no issues with the VPN server [US] that I was using and in regards to my current location, unfortunately, I can't disclose it due to personal reasons [I'm currently residing in a country that belongs to the MENA region if that helps].

Thanks for suggesting an export portfolio - this task in development for now.
You're very welcome [I'm looking forward to that].

I am sorry I made a mistake - the range is $1.99 - $2.99.
It's one purchase - just different prices for each country/state.
It depends on Countries/States, different taxes and different local currency cross courses (Google Play sets prices himself automatically).

Are there special offers such as getting cashback or bonuses for new users? I think if it was held it would be very profitable

What are you talking about? The application is not a gambling site, but a portfolio tracking application. Please read the topics you are responding to.

I want to ask about your TOS ---> https://coinsdata.io/privacy_policy.html

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the app I collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Since you are using third party applications, how will your personal data be collected and shared? Will this data be deleted upon request, or will it be kept forever?

The company's headquarters appears to be in the United States, so will it be shared with IRS? Or any government agency?
With regard to the features, the user will compare what people will get and the risks and risks that are currently high to use such an application.

Hi. Thanks for this question. Its (diagnostic) data - non personal data. We have not collected email or login or some other personal info.
And Yes 3rd party services have not yet functioned to remove data by user request (kept forever).
