Hi guys, after ETH2 which currency do you think it would be convenient to mine?

Hi guys, after ETH2 which currency do you think it would be convenient to mine?

This has been discussed several times here but the answer is,Ethereum Classic (developers promised to never go PoS),Ravencoin,Ergo for most cards while specific Nvidia cards can probably mine more and better rewarding algorithms, you just have to search a bit around.Nothing to worry if Ethereum goes PoS but I highly doubt they will move to it in the upcoming year, most likely 2023 or even further.

Yes please search this has been discussed to death by now,

For one we have no idea when it will go POS fully. They promised POS by Summer 2016 actually.

Second, if they go POS most likely the difficulty will jump for all the GPU mineable coins and there will be no profits for anyone. Unless you got some cheap or free electricity.

As a newbie pls before creating topics do use the search engine on this forum first cos this topic have been discussed so many times already, ETH PoS might not happen it's not guaranteed, PoS is coming for ETH have been a rumour since 6-7years now it's might never happen

We discussed about after ETH PoS a lot of times here, and this is a good thread to read: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376172.msg58724453#msg58724453

There's not more than this at the moment, because it's not guaranteed that ETH will become totally PoS in mid 2022, it's been delayed a lot of times
Maybe the most profitable coin to mine after ETH is not here yet, or mining at home can finally ends, nobody knows

Ergo ravencoin, ETC and conflux, it depends on the GPU you are going to use but I can assure you that ETH mining isn't going away any time sooner because ETH team are known for this since many years now, they always end up postponing the pos algorithm, I wouldn't worry much if I were you

We do not need to worry too much until new coins to be mined come out, however the best alternatives are ergo, raven and etc sure the gains will not be those of eth

when eth 2.0 comes out i’ll be mining ethereum classic on my mining rigs.
First will mine some turtle for the future (for possible increase) then i will be on ravencoin. Ravencoin has a future. White paper is awesome as i read.

What coin is turtle I've not heard of it, mining Ethereum Classic is like throwing away money unless you want to hold for long term, right now it's not profitable to mine at all, mining Alephium, TON, Ravencoin is more profitable than ETC.

Maybe if all hashrate on ETH network goes to other altcoins it will be even harder to continue mining we don't know yet, instead of making a wild guess it's better to wait and see how things will work out, we still have whattomine dot com it's been helpful so far.

ETC ist the next biggest GPU mineable network after ETH and many dudes mine it with 4GB cards. You can also dual mine it with TON or ALPH (or triple mine with ZIL), so i don´t think you throw money away - ETC and RVN are on the same reward level, but ETC needs much less power.

ETC has much potential and it is easy to convert dapps from ETH to ETC after the merge, if the developers wants PoW for the security and not this PoS stuff.

But no one has a glass sphere and can tell us what will happen - i mine ETH as long as i can and see what happens after the merge in 2023 or 2024  :D or later XD

Dual mining will make sense in bear market even when ETH is out of the list of PoW coins, the trick is to hold for few years before selling so TON, ERGO, Conflux, Ravencoin, Alephium and few others looks promising enough.

Dual mining is never profitable in the long run. And those small cap coins are most likely going to lose 99% instead of gaining 500% due to how it’s the faith of most alts.

Even if it becomes big, most dual mine coins are an easy ASIC or FGPA risk. If they are profitable enough then a ASIC can easily be developed for them and will blow GPUs out of the water pretty much.

A very dubious decision, and a small miner will have to choose 1 or 2 coins, which may end in failure.

Keep mining ETH as long as the PoW algorithm is still alive when the change happens we will find the coin with the lowest power consumption I'm guessing that should be ETC, though it's not profitable as ETH and might never be but low power consumption part will make it a better alternative over ravencoin.

Hi guys, after ETH2 which currency do you think it would be convenient to mine?

With the Ukraine/Russia conflict Eth will put the change off for the next 2 years until the European situation stabilizes .

You heard it here first.

I am taking this as an all out advice to go out there and invest in powerful mining rigs if possible and build up your stash of coins (I suggest anyone uses a pool who pays in Bitcoin to be safer but any coin can do) and hopefully this will also clear all the doubts of the people who want to inflict fear to new wanna be miners.Time to act is now.

Wow nice to see that you buy absolutly overpriced cards. Let us support this stupid GPU situation with buying this overpriced stuff ::)
Your ordered from www.shopblt.com? Nothing will arrive this month  ;D

my cards are direct from lenovo.
and will arrive before march 10.
they are also far cheaper then the 662 shopbit wants.

508 to be exact.
in fact 499 after rebates.
and I have until dec 2022 to pay that off with no interest.
